Rain had never seemed so anti-climatic before. A low chuckle left the Celestial hybrid's lips as he stepped out of the dojo, where he paused and looked around the sky. Had it always been so peaceful on this planet, after so many wars? Injustice, justice, to the long-lived hybrid, they were the same. What some would call injustice, others would call justice. What some would call fairness was just a fairy tale. No such thing, in his long years, could ever been seen as 'fair'. "And so, I've found a place that knows so little about that. Gnar's cult, a fanastical lot that prides itself on fairness and justice for those under it's Protectorate. It's a joke," Tomoki thought to himself. He had pulled a long cloak around himself, and as he pulled up the head, one of the Avalanian students stepped out with him.

The cloaked hybrid turned with a small smile, and spoke quietly, "It's a nice day out to think about philosophy, wouldn't you say?"

The student regarded him quietly for a few moments before he slapped a hand on the hybrid's shoulder and smiled lightly in return to the comment, "Take it easy, Tomoki. You've got so much pent up aggression, it'd be hard for us to replace too many students if you keep breaking their arms." That elected a chuckle from the cloaked Celestial and the silver-aired alien patted his shoulder, "Don't stay in the rain too long. The Central Librium, you should look for that place. I think you'll enjoy it."

The pointy-eared hybrid nodded and floated up and then flew off, sword scabbard clanking around on the armor he wore. While Saiyan in nature, it was how effective it was at defending him that was important. Besides that, he'd bad enough modifications that it should look more custom and Avalon-like than Saiyan. The cloak was more to stay mysterious, something the enigma more-so sought to keep up. His eyes glinted as he landed in front of a pannel that would help him find the Librium and his next lodging. His gauntlet-covered hand shot out and tapped at the screen lightly as he whistled a little tune while he sought the information.

Few people passed him in the rain, a child ran up to him and pulled at the cloak. On the back on the light tan cloak was the sign of the Paladin, so he assumed that the kid wanted his help. With the location of his lodging almost found, he turned back and leaned down towards the child and asked in a kind tone, "What can I assist you with?"

The boy had to be ten or eleven in human years, and held a sheepish and nervous look about him. He tried a few times to speak, but each time fell short. The Paladin above him seemed to recognize this and pulled back the hood to reveal the pointy ears and short-cropped black hair. Upon seeing he was, at least to the child, a more normal Paladin, the boy spoke up, "My Mommy wanted something from a pharmacy picked up, but I lost my way, an' I can't reach the console. C-could you look up...uh..."

Tomoki nodded and got what the boy thought the name was. He asked about two other ones until the boy affirmed that the third was the one was the correct one. It was several blocks away, and he decided it would be good to go with the boy to make sure he wouldn't get lost again. While the boy looked a bit nervous, he also noticed an excited air about him. The two set off for the pharmacy, and he wondered what kind of drug the mother wanted. If she was sick enough to send a young boy, he wondered what could cause the boy to worry as much as he did.

This strange feeling about the boy brought the pair to what appeasedappeared to be an underground bunker no longer in use. He already could sense the hundred or so thugs below, but played along with the child for now. His ebony eyes focused on where they were headed, though he could sense that the boy sought out this thoughts or feelings about this place. After three minutes of walking, they halted at a door where the boy turned to Tomoki and spoke in an undertone, "U-um, sir, you don't have to go further i-if you don't want to...uh..."

Tomoki gave the boy a puzzled look and then released a hearty laugh, "Don't worry, we'll be fine. Besides, who knows what'll happen to you if I don't go in."

"Huh?" The singular word was followed by the drawing of two blades, one was a long, hand and a half sword, and the other was a long sword, held in one jabs with ease. Tomoki released a low breath before he placed one hand forward. A large, azure orb formed in the air in front of him before it flowed forward with little resistance, and smashed into the door that they stood in front of.

The door flew forward before the azure orb howled into and explosion. Shrapnel flew all around, sharps sliced and stabbed into the people gathered. The Paladin stepped forward and shook his head, as his blades made a sharp rasp of metal against cobble. "Ah, my long hunt is at an end. You've no idea how long it took me to find you bastards." It was clear that they had been ready to fight, but Tomoki didn't fight fair or with honor. Not for scum like these rats.

"Ho?" His gaze caught on one man that was able to stand, a large shard caught in one leg. The man pointed a Damaskian model blaster at the Paladin, who just shook his head in a disappointed manor, "So, then, this is your life? Thrown away to a cause you barely understand. Poor lot you choose to end your days with." As the man pulled the trigger, Tomoki moved forward and slashed the man's arm, enough to server the tendon. The blast flew into the wall right next to where the boy stood, and as Tomoki's gaze followed, he saw a hand go onto the boy's shoulder.

"Good work, boy. We'll bury the bastard here," spike a gravel-like voice, low and with hidden laughter. He then addressed the Paladin directly, "Did you enjoy thst poultry force there, Paladin? I guess it hardly matters. Death knocks at your door."

What was to be Tomoki's tomb exploded all around him, av deafening sound that was fire, sound, and smell of gas and fumes. The man laughed as he relaxed his grip on the boy's shoulder, "Don't worry lad, we'll let her go after we're done havin our way with her." A cruel chuckle followed as the man stepped away she surveyed the rubble that held the Paladin. Normally be could use his psychic powers to feel the dead, but something was wrong. He couldn't feel Tomoki's spirit or even his body.

It took about a minute more than he would have liked, but the blades slashed through the rubble, and then it seemed that they just went up on smoke. No destruction, just obliterated in that moment. The Celestial hybrid ' gaze narrowed on the man's face, as he spoke quietly, "So, it's said you spit on mercy. Well, I'll give you no mercy. You want blood? You want carnage? I'll give you more than you have ever seen." As the man turned, a blade sliced deftly through a part of the alien’s throat that allowed speech. Two hands gripped at the placed that bled as the Paladin stalked forward.

His eyes had once been filled with deep and profound pity for these people, but to hear that they used this little child and his mother just to kill a Paladin or two made the blood in the hybrid’s veins boil. He could feel it within his body, the heat a warmth and of a white rage. As the man staggered back, Tomoki’s senses lashed out, a net that found such a room. Several men had started to converge on it, and the woman within was more or less unconscious. A blow to the head or a chemical, he guessed in his logical mind, locked away behind the rage.

His left arm whipped down and scooped the boy against his left side before he teleported away from the area and landed behind the door to the mother’s room. He set the lad down and then faced the door as the blades twirled once in his hands before he slashed down with a thunderous blow. The door was thrown against the wall and crushed several people and amputated several others. Screams, yelps, and howls of rage and pain echoed out as Tomoki stepped out. He looked left and right, and then smirked. “These are my opponents? Hah!”

"As it turns out, no," replied a calm tone. Tomoki's eyes turned as he whipped his left arm out with a sword to slash at the air towards the voice. It wasn't a psychic voice, since Tomoki was immune and a void to such things. However, his sword bit into nothing. Hood arm stopped short, and then his crimson orbs narowed on a thin little creature that started up at him with large eyes, pitted and dark. "Tomoki, I believe your name is. Worry not, it's not me you have to fight. But my poison will make those normals---- fighting----- bye--"

Tomoki's eyes started to blur, and then his heated started to swim. He felt, then, the warm blood near his ankle. The sneaky bastard had sing him? With what, he hadn't seen anything that could have done so.

Several of the warriors smirked as they stood on shaky legs. It seemed that the little pet one of the psychic ones carried worked- at least for now. The poisons was just a highly advanced psychic technique made by an older version of the Order of Sal'juk to deal with these types after the war. They had joined this group, and now the being stepped forward and looked down at the young warrior. A deep voice rumbled, "So, this is the state your kin left you, is it?" The Kanassan knew what he was, who he used to be, and more important, what he was meant to do in the past. "I suppose that the other presence in you is just too much of a rebel. I'll have to exstract that essence from you."

His arm moved forward before he stopped. A dark portalway had opened not far away, more living shadow than solid black, as a man stepped out carefully. His fingers waggled about as he shrieked, "You shall not have him!" Shadow magic howled to life and gripped all those around the balding man. His hair was an iron gray, and he wore dark purple robes about him. His skin was leathery, like he was a bit dried out, and he seemed to miss most of his teeth.

The psychic turned and found that he couldn't get a grasp on the man's mind. His eyes narrowed as he slipped into a fighting stance. The shadow tendrils avoided him, but that was the mad Ikrul Pust's plan. "And what is the Magi of Shadow doing here?" His demand was met by Pust as the elder man placed a pinkeye in an early and appeared to clean at it. "Answer!" The Kanassan's roar was met with a tilt of the man's head- or rather, a creak- as he was then stared at.

In the next moment, Tomoki's blade bit deep into the man's chest from the left side, one sunk through the ribs and found the heart, while the other bit down and pinned the psychic into the wall opposite the hybrid. The gasp of air that followed was filled with surprise, outrage, and fear. The hybrid staggered back, and then he saw them. Strings of Shadow moved the warrior, though none dared touch his head. His gaze turned sharply, as if to blame, towards Pust.

The Magi just smirked as he finally replied, this time in a sane manor, "Simple, peon. I've forgone my Master's orders and helped Tomoki because I wanted to." He noted with dry amusement the look in the man's eyes. "Ah, yes, you know my true thoughts. Unfortunately for you, those strings simply allowed Tomoki's blades the opportunity to strike. Ah, how sad, to see you die to the man you sought to save."
