Champ 2 Night had fallen. It was seemingly poetic in its own way, as many things had finally set and faded behind a horizon. Maker had been defeated, his life ended at the hands of Agatha. Sorcha Fairbairn had taken her own life to stop the Konatsian from finishing his task to completion. And then there was the other one... It was definitely after hours in terms of visiting. It was also one of the rare times that neither Mickey nor Chishan were in the room. He appeared as easily as he had in every other instance. The hallway shimmered slightly as Ramuh stepped out from the invisible portal he had created, appearing just by the door to Agatha's room. He glanced down each end of the hall, seeing staff in the distance but no one close enough to spot him. Slowly he turned on the spot and rapped his knuckles against the door, alerting her of his presence. He didn't want to scare her like he had before. He twisted the knob and stepped inside, his attention going right to the gypsy before anything else. As he closed the door, he made sure to keep his eyes on her. He did not look pleased. Not in the least bit. "Agatha," He said softly, doing his best to keep his emotions in check. "What were you thinking?" WC: 225 |

In truth, Agatha wouldn't have minded if the Elder God manifested himself right in her room. That's honestly what she had expected him to do, and Agatha knew he was going to be visiting her sooner or later. There hadn't been a lot of time when she'd been alone, however. If there weren't nurses in her room checking on her, then her father or Chishan were there, or other friends. Agatha hadn't really gotten much alone time since she'd woken up, and frankly now that she did she was expecting Ramuh to visit. And when he appeared outside of the door, Agatha sensed him immediately. "Oh boy, here we go," she whispered softly to herself even as he knocked. The gypsy put a marker in her book and closed it. By the time Ramuh entered, the item was set on her lap and she was already giving the god her full attention. She greeted him with her soft smile, clearly happy to see him, but the expression sobered soon after he spoke. Yep. He was angry. Well, at least you were expecting this, Agatha told herself. She sighed a bit through her nostrils. "I did what needed to be done, Ramuh," she told him quietly, obviously not thrilled with the situation herself. "You saw for yourself what he was like. Maker was insane. He was a ruthless, cold blooded killer that got pleasure out of the things he did, and wasn't going to stop. Chishan and I had already been planning on dealing with him, but with him in that coma... I didn't have a choice, Ramuh. It had to be done, before he killed more people just to try and get to me."

Ramuh crossed the room to the foot of her bed as she spoke, moving at a quicker pace then ever before. It was borderline frantic, though the wrinkles on his face did settle a bit in relief to see her up and well. But it didn't settle the fire in his eyes as he listened to her explain away her reasons. Once she had finished, he let out a sigh and shook his head. "It's not the reason you did it, Agatha. I understand why. But the fact that you did it alone, without any sort of back up or informing anyone where you went. That was fool hardy, Agatha," He did his best to sound authoritative, keeping his voice stern and forceful. He was able to keep up the charade for a moment longer before it melted away and he sighed once more, this time releasing a lot of his anger. "You were nearly killed," He said softly. It took a moment for that to sink in, even with him. It was fairly obvious he had been hit hard over the news of her hospitalization and the battle that had put her there in the first place. His gaze lowered a bit. "My apologies. I shouldn't...I have no right to come in here and lecture you. That wasn't right of me." WC: 222 TWC: 447 |

His attempt at being authoritative didn't have an effect on the gypsy, as he probably assumed it wouldn't. Agatha was hardly the type to let herself be bossed around, even by a god -- which was part of the reason he'd taken to her so quickly. "I wasn't going to ask anyone to bear the burden of this sin with me, Ramuh," she told him, her voice stern but calm as she set her amber gaze on the deity. "I know it was foolhardy, but that was the choice I made. Monica and Apio needed to stay and guard Chishan, and if I had asked them to come then it would have turned into a matter of revenge. I was not going to allow that." More than anything, Agatha did not want the attack on Maker to be one of vengeance. The only reason the gypsy did what she had done was because she had been able to find a place of peace over what had happened to Chishan and her mother, to Chis. Agatha had gone into that fight clear headed without the heavy mantle of anger and frustration to guide her thoughts and actions. Even as she watched, the Elder God's demeanor melted away for something much more concerned. He voiced the fact that she'd nearly died, and Agatha could see how upset he was over that. "I know, but that was a risk I needed to take," Agatha told him gently. He apologized for lecturing her, his gaze dropping, and the gypsy sighed again. "Come here." Patting the side of the bed, she invited Ramuh to come sit near her, moving the book over to the side table and shifting herself a bit to make some room. "You have every right to be upset with me. It was a stupid choice, and I knew that going into it, but I did it anyway. You're not the first person to lecture me about it. Hell, Monica hasn't stopped lecturing me about it, and I'm not sure she ever will but I'm prepared to live with that. I actually had a bet going with myself at the time over who would be angrier: her or you. So far, she's winning." She smirked at him for a moment before the expression sobered. Agatha reached over and put one of her hands on top of his with another small sigh. "I'm sorry I worried you," she told him kindly.

If only Agatha knew how much he bore the weight of that particular sin. She raised good points about Apio and Monica having to stay and guard Chishan. He thought to jump in there and discuss the other matter but opted to hold it in for the moment, listening to her as she explained that she had done the deed in a place outside of revenge. An impressive feat, given everything that had happened to her. It didn't make anything easier but...well, it was what it was at this point. She was here and alive and Maker was gone. For the moment at least, everything was over and done with. She made room on the side of the bed so that he could sit and he moved over to it, planting himself onto the mattress. She understood where he was coming from at least--something that clearly was practiced from everyone else voicing their opinions on the matter. She brought up Monica specifically and Ramuh could only give a small smile. The former assassin was quite the fiery one, though apparently much angrier than he had been. She reached out and rested her hand on his and he glanced down at it before she apologized. "Something like that happens again, do not pursue it without help...please. Even if it isn't myself," It wasn't an order or even a suggestion, it was almost more of a plea even though his voice didn't waver. With a soft sigh his eyes rose to look into hers. "Speaking of guarding Chishan, he had a visitor the other night. During a moment of solitude, it seems that a demoness snuck aboard and tried to get her hands on him. She introduced herself as Lilim and claimed that Chishan was hers. She was powerful as well; it took quite a bit of my power to get her to flee," He told her with the same neutral tone he would usually take on such matters. Because that was absolutely how the meeting had gone down. WC: 338 TWC: 785 |

Ramuh came without hesitation to sit down next to her on the medical bed. It was... weird to think how close they'd gotten, despite the fact that this was really only the fifth or sixth time they'd interacted. But Agatha had learned much about the Elder God during that time. She'd taken the time to get to know him, giving him a chance -- if a wary one -- despite the fact that he'd been stalking her for months, omitting important truths from her, and treating Chishan disrespectfully. Oh, and she had been quite vocal on her thoughts over such things, even going so far as to chastise the deity relentlessly. Agatha's trust in the man had been minimal at best, but he had done much to earn a lot of that back in the short time they'd known one another. But, it didn't mean she hadn't taken precautions. By now, Ramuh likely understood that Agatha had tricked him. Even now he'd find that he was unable to read her mind any more, even surface thoughts, just like the last time. She'd hidden her mind away from him rather effectively -- something that surely frustrated him, if only because it meant he wasn't able to prepare for her battle or try to stop her. Her hand stayed on his, more than comfortable with the physical contact. After all, not only had she and Ramuh made out pretty furiously together once, but he'd also held her through the panic and hysteria of a near death experience and comforted her in the loss of her mother and Chis, staying with her and providing her company and support when Chishan was incapable of doing so. They'd practically been cuddling on her couch the night Sorcha died, watching a movie together as a distraction for her until she'd fallen asleep on the deity's lap. There was an undeniable sense of understanding and compassion from the gypsy toward the Elder God, whom many others he'd exposed himself toward greeted with distrust and borderline hostility. And granted, Agatha understood where they were coming from and did not blame them... but it simply wasn't her way to act with judgment when she could try to act with caring, instead. And, she felt that it had engendered a lot of growth on Ramuh's part. He'd expressed apologies for his actions, sincerely, and taken active steps to show he meant well and to be better about the way he treated Chishan and the others. Still, it was clear his only true fondness was for Agatha, and that was probably because she was the only one that took the time to treat him respectfully while also treating him like a person, rather than an all-powerful being. Which was why she wasn't surprised when he quietly seemed to almost plead with her to be more careful in the future about making sure she had protection and company. Agatha squeezed his hand a little big tighter, offering him another small smile. "I'll do my best, Ramuh. I promise. The next time Maker comes back, he should have to deal with all four of us, rather than just me." Oh yes, because Agatha knew the Konatsian would be making a return. He'd already bragged to Vegeta about the number of times he'd died and been reborn. Someone was resurrecting the crazed lunatic, and she needed to find out who so she could stop it. If only she knew the truth... that the very man whose hand she held now was the one responsible for it all. But, he moved the topic forward to one that was a bit unexpected: Lilim. Ramuh explained that the demoness had come to visit Chishan and lay a claim on him while Agatha was incapacitated. The gypsy drew herself up a bit, a single brow raising on her forehead. "Is that so?" she asked, clearly not amused in the slightest. It was one thing to be approaching the people Chishan cared about one on one and trying to manipulate them against him, but for her to have the balls to sneak onto his ship while the Saiyan was unable to defend himself... ...Well, it struck a chord of anger in the young human woman that even Maker hadn't managed to successfully birth. How dare she. Agatha didn't say anything for a time as she silently pondered the news with a displeased expression. Finally, she said, "Well, I'll add that to the list of things I'll be discussing with her when we meet." Oh yes, because they were definitely meeting. It was only a matter of time until the succubus got the courage to face Agatha and try her turn at twisting the young gypsy, but frankly Agatha didn't intend on waiting until Lilim was ready. Oh no, that meeting was going to happen much sooner than the demoness anticipated, and Agatha was making no attempt right now to hide that from Ramuh. "I should have been there to protect him," she said softly, taking a bit of guilt upon herself for not immediately moving herself and her father onto the Night Fury so she could help watch Chishan and stay by his side. "Thank you for stepping up where I didn't. You've done a lot to help us lately, Ramuh, and I really appreciate that. What exactly happened?" she asked, curious about the details on what exactly Lilim tried to do.

It eased his heart to hear that she would try to be more careful, though a part of him knew that it was more a surety than it was a promise. She was going to get in more danger and she'd put herself headlong into it without pause. It was in her nature and it was a part of her he both hated and loved. He smiled at her. "If he comes back, he'll have quite the force to deal with then, won't he?" The odd thing about Ramuh lately was that he wasn't actively trying to read Agatha's mind anymore. It wasn't that he didn't want to know what she was thinking; he'd experienced a few of her thoughts and mental images to at least be curious. But as with his promise to not watch her during intimate moments, he'd made a sort of vow to himself now to invade her mind and steal her thoughts. A respect and sentiment he never shared with her, doing so more out of his own honor. Transitioning to Lilim earned him a rather serious look from the gypsy, who didn't seem pleased at all the succubus had made a move on Chishan. In fact, it was one of the first times he could almost feel a genuine anger in her tone as she spoke of her plans to meet with the succubus. It was something the Elder God should probably have been nervous about, the prospect of Lilim outing his connection to Maker. If he was, he didn't show it at all. In fact, he let out a small laugh. "I feel more pity for her now than before," He said in an almost tease. She took some guilt onto her over not being there to protect Chishan and he was quick to wipe that away. "He was never unprotected, Agatha. You had other things to take care of, preparations and the security of your father to think of. Chishan was aboard his vessel surrounded by his crew. It was one small moment of opening and even then, I was keeping a firm eye on him," He did his best to assure her. When she asked what had happened, his gaze shifted a bit to stare at the wall. "She came through the shadows, bare as the day she was created no doubt. She attempted to connect to Chishan's mind, to plant something inside of him that would attempt to draw him from his slumber. I'd laid a spell there so she only succeeded in getting into my mind and I would have trapped her there had she not pulled back so quickly. We spoke little but she declared that Chishan belonged to her, that he was hers to have for the rest of eternity. Even as I stood there, she attempted to take him away with her powers. I was able to hold off that process but in the end, she escaped back into the shadows." He looked back to her, his face wrought with annoyance. "I am admittedly upset with myself for not being able to end her, there and then." WC: 521 TWC: 1000+ |

Ramuh smiled, and it made her feel better. Her own expression grew a bit, and the Elder God would be able to feel the tension in her relax through her hand on his. However, his statement of almost amusement sobered up her smile somewhat when he advised the kind of trouble Maker would be in if he came back. "He'll be back," she told him quietly, her gaze dropping for the first time that encounter. "All I did was buy time. Someone has been resurrecting him, and they'll continue to do so. I don't know how long it will take to happen, but it will happen... And he'll be gunning for me again. He'll just keep doing it until I can find whoever is bringing him back and try to find a way to stop it." A tear fought its way to her face, and it was soon followed by others, the clear moisture dripping down quietly onto the blanket over her lap. "I don't want to keep going through this, Ramuh. I don't want to have to kill him again," she whispered. "Death doesn't solve any of this. I don't want to be a killer." The tears fell in earnest as soon as the word came out of her mouth: killer. That's what she was, now. She could argue away what had happened with Luca, and with the demons, but this was not something she could debate away. Agatha had called Maker out for the sole purpose of trying to kill him, and succeeded. She was a murderer now. And it was absolutely tearing her soul to shreds. She was still sniffling even as she listened to the rest of Ramuh's explanation on what had happened with Lilim. The succubus had tried to touch him, to take him. Only a few days ago Agatha might have treated the situation with a bit more caution; she might have stepped back and expressed the wish that it was Chishan's choice. They both knew Lilim's true identity, and a part of Agatha didn't want to get in the way of him being reunited with the love he had lost if he felt there was a chance to save her. She'd have expressed her own wishes, of course; her hope that Chishan would stay with her, but if he had chosen to return to Matilda, Agatha would have understood. But now, after all this? After everything that had happened with Maker, Sorcha, Zaine..? No. Frankly, Lilim could back the fuck up and keep her unclean whore hands off of Agatha's boyfriend. It didn't matter anymore who Lilim used to be; the person she was now was obviously a woman that didn't even deserve to speak Chishan's name let alone lay an eternal claim on him. The Saiyan deserved better than that, and Agatha was going to absolutely fight to be that better option. "It's alright, Ramuh," she told him, giving his hand another squeeze and looking up at him with a weak smile. "There's been enough death. I'd rather find a peaceful solution, if possible."

Agatha seemed sure Maker was going to come back. She was right, of course, and it would be Ramuh doing the reviving. But she didn't need to know that and he kept his mouth shut as she spoke of the Konatsian and how would return with a fiery vengeance. She spoke about trying to stop the person that was doing the reviving and he nodded softly, understanding. Her tone drifted into sadness as the reality of what had happened and what she had done hit her once more. Tears streamed from her eyes steadily as she spoke softly about her hesitance to continue in it. It broke his heart to see her like that, to see the kindly woman accepting she was a killer and hating it. His hand tightened around hers. "I will search through my library for something, Agatha. A spell that might keep him from being resurrected once more. I am sure we have some time before whoever is bringing him back is able to complete their own spell for it. In that time, I'm sure I can find something to stop that man's return. So you don't have to suffer through this nightmare anymore," Of course he wouldn't have to search for a spell to keep Maker in Hell. He would simply just let the Konatsian rot there for a little while longer, long enough that Agatha would feel secure once more. His other hand reached out and gently ran its thumb over her cheeks, brushing the tears away as he told her of his encounter with Lilim. She seemed to calm down a bit over the news, if only because she was planning for her next step with the succubus. She squeezed his hand and looked at him with a gentle smile, voicing her belief that there had been enough death. If only she knew. He sighed gently. "There was another reason I came to visit you. I have some pressing matters that I must attend to and will be leaving for quite some time. Nothing to be concerned about, mind you, but they require my full attention. I wanted to see you before I went and..." He trailed off softly before he smiled. "I wanted to give you a gift," He pulled his hand away from her cheek and reached up, taking a firm hold of the hat that had adorned his head nearly every time they had seen one another. The black cowboy hat was lifted from his head and brought down, finding itself resting on her lap. "I know you have a tendency to steal this from me in jest. But I'd like you to hang onto it for the time I am gone. Just so you know that I'm looking out for you no matter where you are, even if I can't see you." Sweetness Count: Too much to count. |

The Elder God's hand tightened around hers, and he reassured her that he would do his best to help by once again looking through his scrolls to see if he could find something to prevent Maker from being revived. It was an outright lie, but unfortunately the gypsy didn't know that. Ramuh had taken very careful steps toward earning back a good portion, if not all, of Agatha's trust -- and there had been nothing in the past to indicate that he had anything to do with the Konatsian. As such, she ate the lies right up, nodding her acknowledgement and thanks in sober silence. Her head was still lowered when Ramuh's hand found her cheek and began to wipe away the tears. It wasn't the first time he'd done such a thing for her. She lifted her face to look at him, her head instinctively turning into his hand as he held it. The poor man. Half the time he came to visit her all she was doing was crying, anymore. She knew he didn't like to see her that way, but Agatha had never been one to hide what was on her heart. When he sighed and advised there was another matter he'd come to see her about, the gypsy frowned a little. Ramuh told her he had things he needed to take care of and that he'd be gone for a while -- and by the sounds of it, if he felt it was important enough to warn her about, then it was likely going to be a worryingly long while. And she did look worried, even up until he pulled his hat from his head and deposited it carefully on her lap. Agatha smiled a little bit, her fingers reaching out to trace around the brim of the item with delicate care. It was true -- she did have a fondness for the hat, mostly because she thought it was adorably silly that a god would sport something like it. She'd temporarily stolen the item from him a couple of times, though he seemed to get a kick out of it more than anything else. Still, the smile didn't quite reach her eyes, and faded quickly as she gazed down at the item. "You must plan on being gone for a long while, to be giving me a going away gift..." Agatha started slowly. There was no mistaking the soft tone of her voice: she wasn't happy to know he'd be leaving. The truth was, the gypsy had developed an attachment to the Elder God. He had done a lot for her and opened himself up to her where he hadn't to anyone else in centuries, and she enjoyed his company. Frankly, she was sad. Agatha didn't want him to go. He assured her it was nothing to be concerned over, but she looked concerned anyway. The way she almost absentmindedly bit her lower lip was a telltale sign, even if she wasn't looking up at him carefully with her amber gaze from her hung head. Honestly, she wasn't even really sure what to say. Sweetness Count: Not as high as the number of Ramuh's lies. |

Ramuh didn't enjoy seeing Agatha upset. It made his chest throb and his heart ache for the woman. And all he wanted to do was ensnare her in his arms and never let her go. He'd held back a little and allowed her to make the first moves in terms of physical touch. After everything that had happened on his homeworld, he didn't want to push any boundaries he hadn't already pushed on. But he had broken through that line a few times before; as when they had barely escaped the island Maker utterly atomized. And he felt that same need now as he told her of his journey. He could almost feel the sadness ebbing off of her like an aura, the gypsy clearly upset that he was going to be gone for some time. And truthfully he didn't like it either; he'd just earned a place among her trusted circle and he didn't want to leave the comfort of it. But he did have things he had to plan for and with Maker rotting in Hell for some time, it required a more direct touch and presence. "A couple of weeks at minimum, a few months if it turns out to be more than I expect," He admitted, nodding softly. The time frame was vague currently and he was choosing not to lie to her over it. Promises of safe returns sooner and then not living up to the deal might instill worry, enough that Agatha may choose to go searching for him. And if she found him...it was safe to say many things would change. His hand moved up from the hat he had given her and placed itself on her cheek once more, putting a bit of pressure so that she would know he wanted her to look at him. "I will return as soon as I can. And I will have a great many new stories to tell you," He told her with a smile, a confident look that wanted to siphon the worry right from her. His eyes darted to her lips for a second as that same old feeling returned. And hell, he was leaving for some time. Why not? He leaned forward enough to rest his forehead against hers. "If it helps...I will miss you as well. More than I can describe," Leaving her no time to answer that, he shifted his face so that his lips pressed against hers. It was a gentle kiss though not lacking in passion, his hand cupping her cheek to show the care he truly had for her. He held it for a few moments, enough to show that it wasn't quite what they had shared on his homeworld but it was definitely levels higher than what she had given him on her ship. When he pulled away, he was still smiling. It twitched a little into something a bit more coy. "You were right, by the way. I did enjoy cuddling more than I thought I would." He gave her an idea of how long he'd be gone, and she nodded quietly in understanding. Agatha didn't ask what it was that he was going to be doing. Despite the fact that Ramuh had made it very clear quite some time ago that she could ask him anything she wanted and he would do his best to provide her with answers when he had them, there were simply certain stigmas that she couldn't push herself past after so long of being a part of a pagan culture. One of those was prying into the business of a god. Even if they shared a... well, basically a friendship at this point... and even if his hope was that she would elect to accept his offer on becoming a divine ambassador for him and get involved with his work, it was still something that her ethics prevented her from asking about. And in all honesty, that was probably a good thing, in this case. Once more, Ramuh placed his hand upon her face and turned her to face him. He assured her with a confident smile that he'd return with stories for her, and that did bring a more genuine smile to her own face. "I'll hold you to that," Agatha teased him with a light grin, already feeling a bit better. He leaned forward and rested his forehead against her own, assuring her he was going to miss her, just like he understood she would miss him. And she would; not perhaps like she'd miss Chishan or someone that she was arguably closer to, but she would miss him. He was strange company at times, but he was still good company. She hadn't thought much about him being this close. It was well understood by those who knew her that Agatha was a physical creature, always touching those she interacted with and finding ways to connect to them on deeper levels, often breaking through personal bubbles and barriers to try to make a person feel truly appreciated and cared for. And, she wasn't surprised when he kissed her either. It wasn't the first time, and probably wouldn't be the last. However, it didn't take long for her to realize this kiss was... different. The first time Ramuh had ever kissed her, it had been fueled by sexual desire more than anything else. It was something she hadn't any problems with; hell, she'd welcomed and returned it. Her relationship was Chishan wasn't exactly traditional in terms of commitment, as both were quite fine with the other showing a little bit of physical interest in another person so long as it didn't go too far. That night with Ramuh had almost gone too far, but she'd managed to push herself out of the lusty haze to stop before things got out of hand. The Elder God had understood, as he had been the first to know of Agatha's feelings for the Saiyan Overlord. They had parted ways that night on good terms, and arguably as closer friends. The second time had been only a week or so ago, on the night Sorcha had been murdered. Agatha had been the one delivering the kiss that night, as a show of appreciation for the things he'd done to help protect her and her father, and to graciously take her to go see Chishan while he rested in his coma, after Ramuh saved his life when Maker had killed him. He'd willingly stayed with her until she fell asleep so she wouldn't have to be left alone with her thoughts, and the gypsy had thanked him in the only way she really could at the time: with a simple, friendly, appreciative kiss that was free of desire but no less intimate. Both of those times had been special moments in their own rights, and Agatha had been completely comfortable with them because that's all they had been: lust and appreciation. But this? This was more. It took her a few beats to figure that out. He put his lips against hers and she returned the gesture softly, eyes closed and still smiling a bit. But then, the Elder God's kiss lingered... and then it lingered some more. There was a passion which drove it that made her head buzz... and not entirely for good reasons. Agatha hid the trepidation well, but by the time Ramuh pulled back -- and thank god he did, because the gypsy surely wasn't thinking too clearly anymore -- there was a very real blush spread across her cheeks. It was deeper than any other blush he'd seen her have.. assuming he'd ever actually seen her blush before. One truth that rang clear, even if her thoughts toward it were veiled, was that she had not missed the real intent behind the kiss: that Ramuh did have feelings for her to some extent. She chuckled a bit, trying her best to lose the reddening on her face and failing. "Well, I did try to tell you..." Agatha teased, grinning a bit at him even as she continued to battle the thoughts and emotions that roared in her head.

She had tried to tell him. That was a definite fact. But that almost seemed lost as he pulled away and saw the look upon her face. Ramuh hadn't seen her blush up to that point, almost willing to believe that she couldn’t. She was always so confident and strong; it seemed like nothing could bother her at all. It was definitely something he admired in her. He'd known many during his long tenure in life but none could equal the compassion and adoration and respect she embodied. If he were so bold to say it out loud, he would admit it was those attributes that he loved about her. Nothing seemed to bother her. But something had. And it was clear that it had been the meaning behind his kiss. He had tried to keep himself from going too far, holding back and pulling away before it got too connected. But in the end, his emotions had won the rest of him over and he had given her a kiss that covey ed just how much he cherished her. His own cheeks got a little rosy, the Elder God flustered a bit by his actions. Returning her smile with one a but softer, he rose from the bed and stepped away from her, suddenly feeling like he should give her some room. "That you did," He admitted softly before he was able to reaffirm himself. "Take care of yourself while I'm gone. And Chishan as well," Ramuh gave her a nod, almost a complete head bow. "Farewell...Agatha." And then just like that, he was gone. Panic Count: Oh god what have I done run away |

If she had been caught off guard by the obvious emotion behind the kiss, she was even more so by the way the Elder God returned her blush. Now that was new. She was just as surprised to see the rosy hue on his cheeks as he was to see it upon her own. There was a moment where the two of them looked at one another, her obviously understanding now how deep his feelings ran, and him figuring out he'd revealed too much. Ramuh stood rather suddenly from the bed and Agatha watched him with an expression that sported a fair number of emotions. There was no point, now, in trying to hide from what had just silently been revealed -- and they needed to talk about it. She opened her mouth to say something, to ask him to stay a moment longer and sit back down, but he cut her off with his very abrupt farewell. The Elder God bowed his head to her, lower than he ever had before. And then he was gone. "Ramuh, wait..." It was already too late. Agatha groaned and sunk onto the bed, suddenly feeling very low. Her eyes drew toward the hat he'd left with her. After a moment she picked it up gingerly and held it by the brim as she thought. This was bad. The only reason she'd ever let things go as far as they had between them, physically, was because he'd made it clear to her that he wasn't looking for anything more with her. He admired her as a companion, as someone he could speak freely with, but wasn't ready or interested in love or really anything even close to it. He'd told her this after she'd bluntly expressed her fear of leading him on, making it clear and reminding him that even though they had allowed one another a few freedoms, her heart belonged to Chishan -- and only to Chishan. And Ramuh had understood, and reassured her he wasn't interested in complicating matters with such feelings. So much for that. The scene replayed over and again in her mind as her fingers traced along the black fabric of the hat. "Damnit," she whispered sadly. This hadn't been a going away gift so much as a lover's token. She understood that, now. "Ramuh, please be safe. I will miss you, and... I'm sorry." It didn't matter that the god wasn't in the room anymore; she knew he'd hear her, and she knew he'd understand what she was truly saying when she apologized. He got invested, and now she would have to break his heart... and things were going to change between them, for the sake of them both. Starting with the next time they saw one another, their relationship was going to be vastly different. ...If only she knew how much.
