It was, as always, daytime on planet Namek.

Agatha had been to a lot of interesting planets in her still fairly young lifetime, more than most ever had. Certainly more than anyone her age. The life of a nomad was a costly one, and often stressful at times, but it was certainly worth it. The gypsy was a traveler at heart and had a passion for a lot of things: music, history, culture. She traveled and saw much of her home world Earth while growing up, but it simply had never been enough for her. Agatha craved the new and exotic, the foreign and the alien. She was fascinated by other species and anthropology, learning about their languages and customs and nuances.

Which had made the trip here to Namek a bit exciting, given that this was one of the many planets she had yet to visit. It was beautiful, despite its rather simple landscape. The world was almost entirely ocean, with various sized islands littering the globe with tall cliffs full of caves and curious -- even dangerous -- creatures. And of course, Agatha had made it her absolute mission that when she did manage to find some downtime during their task, she went out to explore a little. She was careful not to explore too far outside of the village. Afterall, the PTO occupied the planet, and Agatha was currently in their top most wanted list for the actions she was taking against the anti-Saiyan cult they were secretly affiliated with. She couldn't be too careful.

...but it wasn't going to stop her from feeding her curiosity.

The red haired gypsy was currently sitting in a small folding chair she'd taken with her on her hike, taking a break to eat some food and read a book on Namekian culture that Kami had let her borrow. There was a small table next to her that was barely big enough to hold the tray of food that sat upon it. The tray was laden with an assortment of home cooked goods, the sweet smells of the hot meal wafting up from the tray and deliciously caressing her nose. Plucking a meat roll from the tray, she popped it into her mouth and chewed it appreciatively, letting the flavor settle fully upon her tongue before it disappeared down her gullet. She wasn't expecting any company -- rather, she was hoping she wouldn't get any company, but the gypsy idly kept her senses aware of her surroundings... just in case.

Whis was done with his time meeting with Grand Elder Guru. With that he was also done with his time on planet Namek. It wasn’t the worst place in the world, but the race survived mostly on water so it wasn’t like they had the delicious assortment of foods that other planets had to offer. He was ready to leave and go track down Lord Beerus so that they could get back on with their journeys. It was possible the information he had acquired would be enough to make the God of Destruction desire to learn more. Honestly, that is what Whis was hoping for himself at this point.

The mysterious mentor was flying overhead though when his senses picked up something delightful. It was food, real food and he could smell it even from the clouds. He stopped in his tracks looking from the sky to see a female relaxing in a chair, reading a book next to a wide assortment of foods. It couldn’t hurt to stop by and find out if she was willing to share?

Lowering himself to the surface the alluring scent of the meal became more and more obvious and as he saw the female he realized she too was savoring every moment of it. Hover just a few feet off the ground he had only hid his approach by making sure he didn’t cast a shadow on her. He would have hated to make her reading material harder to see with unusual shading and glare or reflection.

Feeling that she had power within her he didn’t want to startle anyone so he spoke, figuring that she hadn’t sensed him coming and not wanting to create a fight scene. He had no interest in beating up a woman just for some delicious smelling food, ”Hello my dear, my name is Whis. Sorry to interrupt, but you are honestly the first person I have seen in weeks on this planet surviving on more than just water. Do you mind if I ask what is it that you are partaking in?

There was a peculiar thing about the little mortal known as Agatha, a rare trait that she only just recently learned she had: the ability to sense divine and demonic energies. It was actually a god that had informed her of her talent -- after he'd spent months stalking and testing her with it before she finally had enough of feeling like she was being watched and called him out in the open. Ever since Ramuh had enlightened her on the matter she'd been actively working on honing the skill, until she'd reached the point where she could sense Ramuh (and other gods that occasionally lurked amongst the mortals) nearly without fail.

And it was quite interesting for the gypsy to be sitting there, enjoying her book, when that sudden sensation crossed her alternate sense. She looked up curiously, but didn't see anything. Her gift did little more than alert her to the presence of a being with either supernatural energy; she could not pinpoint a location or use it to gauge any sort of level of power -- though her regular senses typically took care of that just fine, provided the other person wasn't suppressing their true power. Still, with Whis having positioned himself in such a way that she didn't even see a shadow, she was caught completely off guard when he spoke so near to her. Agatha just about fell out of her chair, a somewhat undignified squeak coming out of her lips as she jumped a bit and turned to look at him.

As Whis introduced himself, the redhead calmed her nerves down a bit. It took her a moment to process everything he'd said due to her moment of fright, but when everything clicked she near about had another heart attack. A perk to being a devout pagan was that she was very knowledgeable on gods and pantheons; not all of them, certainly. There were far too many worlds and cultures with their own deities to know them all. However, there were few who studied such things that hadn't heard of Beerus the Destroyer, nor his mentor. Her jaw was dropped for only a moment before she got herself under control.

She smiled at him softly. "A few treats I made from my home world, Earth," Agatha told him politely, standing up to give him a respectful bow. "It's an honor to meet you, Lord Whis. I'm sorry... I was totally unprepared to run into a god. Normally I try to have some kind of offering or gift. Would you like to share my meal with me? I have sarmale -- they're kind of like meat dumplings, only with rice and ground pork. I also have sweetbread, roasted corn, and a very delicious honey pastry called baclava."

Whis couldn’t help but to giggle a little bit as he saw the reaction he had made on this young lady. He wasn’t sure exactly yet how she knew so much about him so quickly and yet all of that was somewhat unimportant as he smelled the delicious foods she had sitting around and was offering to share with him. If Lord Beerus knew something like this was going on and he wasn’t around he would have been furious, but for now he didn’t need to know anything was going on. He was still busy from what Whis could tell telepathically.

As she explained the food to him, Whis looked it over growing more and more intrigued by the moment. He wanted to really sample it all, but she had said that she had brought it from her home world of Earth and Whis knew how far away that was. Even though he wanted to devour it all, he didn’t want to be a pig either. He could tell she truly was offering it as a gesture of respect though and it would have been incredibly rude for him to deny her.

”I appreciate the offer and I would be happy to partake in this with you,” it was then that he realized he had never met her and that she was incredibly knowledgeable about the situation. The food was important, but so was the knowledge, ”I do have to ask though if you don’t mind why we partake, how do you know so much about me? Most people only know of Lord Beerus and even fewer know that I possess godly traits.”

He wasn’t demanding with the question, much more inquisitive than anything else at this point. The real important thing was still how to enjoy this food to its fullest. Whis giggled once more as he focused back on the food the moment of seriousness passing by, ”Oh and in what order should you partake in such delicacies to maximize the taste. Is there anything special I need to know?”

Whis went back and forth with his attention on the food and on the fact she knew more than the average mortal might about him; granted, it was obvious his true focus was on the former of the two topics. Agatha placed a hand over her mouth to cover up her own giggle at the god's antics. "Please, let me get you a chair, my lord." She'd brought an extra for her student Moira, though who knew where the hell that android had flown off to. Pulling a capsule out of her pocket, she opened the device and another chair similar to the one she'd been using popped out. Agatha caught it deftly and set it down for him on the other side of the tray where he'd have easy access to the goodies.

He inquired as to how she knew so much, and the gypsy blushed a little bit. "There are a number of factors contributing to that, actually," Agatha confessed, keeping herself standing until Whis had taken his own seat. Unless he directed her otherwise, that would be the only time she'd slink herself back into her chair. "I was partially raised by gypsies on Earth, and they are a superstitious bunch. We identify as pagans, and we believe very heavily in the reverence and respect toward gods. Because of that, we tend to make it our business to know a fair bit more about existing pantheons than most people make the effort to learn."

It was a very humble explanation, the only bit of pride showing more at the love of her people than anything else. She paused a bit before continuing a bit bashfully. "The other thing is that I... apparently have a rare ability to sense divine and demonic energy -- both of which I can sense in you, though it seems... different than others I've met in the past." Agatha frowned a bit in thought at that before continuing on. As she did, she offered Whis a spare set of utensils. She was thinking of Yan, who she knew also had both energies within him, but it wasn't the same as what she was sensing in Whis right now. "I don't know where this ability comes from or why I have it; I only just recently learned of it, but I've been doing my best to hone it ever since."

What Agatha didn't understand was that in order for her to have such an ability, she had to have some sliver of divinity in her blood; likely an ancestor from long ago whose identity had been lost over the centuries as the blood thinned out to become more mortal.

He asked the best method to approach the food and she hummed in thought. "Well, most people, I think, tend to focus on the sarmale first, and then choose between the sweetbread and corn after that." She leaned in a bit with a wry smirk, like she was letting him in on a secret. "But me, I like to just make rounds until the end. Why eat up all of one portion of the meal and have none for later, when I can just have small bits of everything to last until it's all gone?"

She winked at him playfully. Then, she added, "Either way, the baclava definitely comes last."

Her explanation had made sense and her source of information was one that that mysterious blue skinned hybrid could understand to some extent. He was starting to find her entertaining at the very least. He was still focused on the food as he tried to also continue the conversation, ”You are from Earth? I was about to head back there fairly soon. Out of those I met on the planet though, most don’t seem to know much about myself or Lord Beerus. You are clearly well educated, but maybe that special power you have is part of the reason. I doubt many mortals have such things that they can actually do.”

It was then that she went into the way to eat the food. Truly unique thinking to have bits and pieces and not the entire thing at once was what the young lady was suggesting. Whis didn’t want to be rude and ignore her suggestion so he decided to follow both her tips at the same time. He went around first trying the Sarmale, but only a bite and not devouring the entire thing before moving on to similar size portions of bread and corn. Throughout his testing process though he kept his eyes on the Baclava; she had clearly sold that item as the ultimate treat at the end of the meal.

With each bite it was as if Whis had never tried anything like this food before. His reactions like a child celebrating one of their favorite things each time. He got a huge grin on his face as the partook in the meal, ”This is simply delicious; the combination, the flavor and texture all match so well. Did you make this yourself or was it prepared by others? I think either way Lord Beerus would love to have some of this whenever he could. I know he would enjoy it.”

It was at that point he turned his attention to the Baclava. He had a decent portion of the food she had brought out, ”When is it appropriate to have some of this delicious looking dish?”

Agatha's experience with divine being was hit and miss. There were some gods, such as Ramuh, that she got along with well enough that she felt safe calling them friends -- even if the start of such friendships were rocky at best. And then there were others, typically ones that viewed mortal lives as inconsequential at best, that she disliked so greatly that she almost went out of her way to get under their skins and piss them off just to prove a point. Agatha was respectful to deities, but it certainly didn't mean she wouldn't speak her mind or stand up to them if she felt it was needful.

Whis? Oh, she liked Whis.

He was just so delightful. The blue skinned being practically had a hyper focus on the food, and it made her giggle. Frankly, it reminded her of Walid worrying about being on Namek and not having enough to eat since the natives survived off of water. The gypsy wasn't sure it was appropriate to think of Whis as adorable -- after all, anyone who trained Beerus could easily kill her with a paper napkin if he felt like it -- but frankly, it was a bit adorable.

She blushed a bit when he commented on Earthlings and her education. "Unfortunately, humans don't really focus on anything outside of themselves and the Earth. They like to live in a secure little bubble and think that if they leave the rest of the galaxy alone, then the rest of the galaxy will leave them alone in turn, which is certainly not true. Because of that, anything that doesn't directly effect them -- such as gods -- tend to just get ignored. As far as my ability... from what I understand, I'm probably the only human that has it. The god that revealed it to me said he thought it was impossible for a mortal to have such a thing before he found me." She shrugged a bit, reaching out for another piece of sarmale. "But if I can do it, I'm sure others can, too. I doubt I'm the only exception to the rule."

He asked more about the food, a rather large grin on his face that coaxed one of her own to tug upon her lips. "I made it myself. I prefer to cook my own meals when possible. If Lord Beerus would like some I'd be happy to make some for him as well. Between you and me, I don't think there will be enough left to take some for him, I'm afraid -- but I could certainly make some more, if he would like. It would be an honor." Get the chance to cook for Lord Beerus? Yes, please! As a self-respecting gypsy, she wasn't going to turn that opportunity down. "Traditionally, I would eat this either as a lunch or a dinner. So either sometime in the afternoon or evening, just not as a morning breakfast meal."

Once they were finished, she flicked her wrist and a small dagger appeared seemingly out of nowhere in her hand. She moved it over the large square of baclava and cut it half. Placing a piece before him, Agatha smiled. "I hope you like sweets, because this is very sweet." And she wasn't lying. It was made with layer after layer of very thin, flaky buttery dough that would crumble and melt in his mouth, and they were held together with honey, cinnamon and sugar, and chopped nuts that had been made soft enough by the honey that they wouldn't crunch. "This is my favorite dessert," she shared with him with a smile, before taking a bite of her own piece.

OOC: Feel free to wrap this up however you choose~
