Mt. Paozu, Goku's long lost home. He didn't know why but instinctively he kept coming back here. This was his home, or it used to be. In a world so far from this one, in an entirely different dimension. He still could not fight his instinct that this is where he lived. He always found his way back here, and yet when he got here, he felt so deterred by it. He paused, not touching the handle to dare to go inside. He didn't want to see again the shell of the house he knew. Or, the house he though he should know. From the outside it seemed so familiar, but inside he had nothing to keep him there. His memories of the past might be faded, and in some cases gone, but he will never forget the feeling of loss. This weight he's been carrying the past few weeks seems to only get heavier as the days go on. Though, he has no doubt he'll be able to return, first he must try to understand why he is here to begin with. These sorts of things do not happen by accident. Goku was brought here, either by someone in this dimension, or by someone in his dimension. Though there were differences, they had their similarities. Goku was still able to come here to Mt. Paozu, and despite nobody living here, there was still a house. One he didn't feel so attached to anymore, but still, he knew he had a place to lay his head at night if he so chooses. He frowned and turned away from the door. He'd come back when it was later, and then he'd have to make the decision whether to sleep there or not. "This place feels haunted, but maybe I'm the ghost." He said, giving a playful chuckle and preparing to take off. WC: 311 TWC: 311 |

Areleh flew over the mountains, aimlessly wandering through their valleys and peaks while trying to get his head on straight. Ever since his fight with Chishan, Areleh had felt a conflict within him. On the one hand, he now knew the truth about his father and could not bear the idea of leaving his father out and about for one second longer than absolutely necessary. On the other, Chishan had insisted that he not go after his father to kill him. It was a conflict that had caused him to say some rather unkind things to his friend. So now he just flew about while trying to sort out exactly what he felt led to do with his future. He knew what he had to do, but didn't know yet if he had the strength to do it. . It was around this time that he became aware of an odd tickling sensation in the back of his mind, like he could almost sense something but wasn't sure what it was. Slowing down, Areleh looked around and spotted an orange-clad figure far below. He couldn't feel any sort of malicious intent around their aura, but still felt as if they were someone he should investigate further. Letting his ki slip away from underneath himself, Areleh slowly fell towards the ground and landed softly on the mountain grass. This wasn't an area of the planet he had ever visited, if his memory served him correctly. All of this just served to add more fuel to his curiosity; a strange man, in a strange place, that Areleh had no real business having interest. Not wanting to get into a senseless fight, having remembered the last time he found a strange alien approach him, Areleh held up a hand and smiled. "Hey. What are you doing way out here?" It was only after he asked it that Areleh realized that the same question could be turned right around back at him. ---------- WC: 327 TWC: 327 |

"Hm?" Goku turned, hearing someone land just on his side. He was a strong looking man, with dark hair and familiar features. If Goku was a betting man, he'd say this was another Saiyan. He didn't know the man's intentions, but he seemed to just be curious about Goku for some reason or another. "Well, I live here, sort of." Goku said, turning and glancing back at the house. "I mean it's my house, it's just sorta not home, you know?" Goku said, tripping over his words like the world's laziest poet. Goku didn't really expect the guy to get it, but he figured it was as good of an explanation as any. "What are you doing here? Come looking for someone?" Goku asked with a nervous laugh, hoping that whoever this guy was, he wasn't looking for this dimension's Kakarot. Goku might not be thinking the worst of this guy, but he was certainly prepared for it. He'd made mistakes trusting Saiyans in the past, whether or not he remembered, his instincts were telling him to be wary about this guy. "Oh, I suppose it's rude to ask questions without introducing yourself. I'm Son Goku, nice to meet you." WC: 200 TWC: 527 |

Areleh tilted his head to one side and scratched the back of it with a look best described as mild confusion on his face. The other Saiyan was talking in self-contradicting ways. How could a house not be a home? Of course, he realized exactly how such a feeling could be free of contradictions, but it seemed as though the other Saiyan was unsure himself of exactly what he meant. When asked about his own purpose, Areleh looked up at the sky and gave a non-committal hum. His face was blank as he tried to summon exactly what it was that he was doing. "I suppose I am looking for someone... Just not someone I don't know, you know?" He looked back down and chuckled humorlessly. "I guess that doesn't really make sense." Getting a name from the other Saiyan for some reason put Areleh a bit more at ease. "Son Goku, huh? My name is Areleh. Are you from Planet Vegeta?" It seemed an odd question to ask, since as far as Areleh knew all Saiyans were from Planet Vegeta; that is, all pure-blooded Saiyans. Since he was a half-breed, he obviously lacked that origin. There was no real determining factor that could be used to mark a pure-blooded Saiyan from a half-breed, but there were subtle things that made him question where this Son Goku might have come from. For starters, he didn't wear any Saiyan armor, which seemed unusual. As well, he was off alone in the mountains, and called this place home. What sort of Saiyan would do that, right? "I guess, technically, I am." Goku said, stretching out his legs, leaning from side to side. "I mean, I've only ever know life here, but I was born there, yeah. I was adopted when I was very young by an old man who lived in the wilderness." He added to the explanation. It was a very long story, and Goku didn't think saying 'I was sent here to destroy this planet' was a very good introduction. Besides, that was so long ago it didn't matter. Though, it was strange. He remembered that part of his past. This was weird, indeed. Perhaps that meant Kakarot of this dimension was also sent here to destroy Earth. Perhaps he had a similar childhood, and that's why Goku was able to remember that bit. Or, maybe it was just a coincidence, and Goku was going to lose that memory soon just like the others. "So, who are you looking for, maybe I've seen em around." Goku said, a helpful yet playful tone to his voice. He was always eager to help others, especially if it was something easy like directions. Though Goku had hard times doing that even, sometimes he was just a mess. Though, he has his moments. WC: 205 TWC: 732 |
