The Avatar of War
One of the things that had bothered the Avatar of War since he received news of the red-haired gypsy's accident was that he mostly sat around, bottling rage. He was sure that most of the others had visited her, but he didn’t and that really started to get to him. Walid couldn’t have imagined how it made him look. What would Agatha think of him, that he didn’t care enough to see how she was doing?

So that he could change that, Walid made a visit to the hospital that she was in. As he walked inside, he immediately felt uncomfortable. Needles and such were always something that scared him and a hospital on Earth was no exception to that fear. He, however, ignored all that the best that he could. He reminded himself that he was doing it for a friend and didn’t let it stop him.

Because he’d forgotten which room number, or even which floor Agatha was on, the Zaunite’s visit to the hospital became rather awkward quickly. He knew that he probably should have knocked on a few doors, but privacy was never something that came across his mind. One abrupt entrance had even earned him a bright red mark on the side of his cheek.

After he finally asked one of the nurses where he’d find the red-haired Gypsy, he was given the instructions that were needed and headed to the upper floors. Before he was granted access, he had to first be screened. He didn’t really understand why… did they think he was an assassin or something?

“Your Wally has finally arrived!” the Avatar of War shouted as he busted through the right door, his face still showing a hand imprint across his cheek.

She sensed the Zaunite as soon as she arrived at the hospital. It instantly brought a grin to her face. Agatha and Walid had not known one another long, but she'd instantly taken to the Avatar of War. He was one of the more genuine people she'd ever met, and he had a big heart. The gypsy adored him like the brother she'd never gotten to have.

Hilariously, however, it seemed to take him a while to get to her room. "What is he doing?" she asked herself humorously, shaking her head a bit. When he finally made it in, the man burst through the door dramatically, introducing himself. Agatha laughed outright at the display, and at the obvious red hand mark on his cheek. "Oh my God, Wally" she said, still laughing. "Did you do that at every door on the way up here until you found the one I was in?"

Trying to compose herself, she beckoned him to come over so she could give him a hug. If he wanted, there was a chair he could pull up next to her bed. The room itself was rather spacious for a hospital room. Not obnoxiously so, but more than one might expect. There was a small sofa on one end of the room, and a table that was laden from edge to edge with flowers and cards from tons of people.

"How are you doing, hun? All set for Namek? Hopefully they'll be releasing me today, and then I should be ready to go in a day or two." And she did look quite fine, despite the injuries she'd sustained. In fact, she didn't even look like she'd been in a fight at all, lacking so much as a bruise. Then again, it was possible that Walid didn't even know what had actually happened; Bulma hadn't known anything outside of what the news had told, and Agatha honestly wasn't sure how much Walid paid attention to media.

No response came from the pink-haired warrior, he wasn’t sure if he was capable of telling a lie with a straight face after what he’d been through. After he completely ignored her question, he walked over to her so that she could give him a hug, a hug that he’d return with one of his own. He then took a seat and sat there for a moment. Before he had a chance to say a word, he just remembered that he picked up something for Agatha.

Quickly, he took off a backpack that he’d been wearing so that he could find something that was inside. It took him a while because… he had other things in it. Sharp weapons that he’d forgotten to clean out. He, however, finally managed to find what he was looking for. It was…

“I managed to get this with…,” the Avatar of War muttered as he smiled and pulled out dark blue present, “That’s not important.”

What lied within were two things. One of its contents was a card that he picked up from a drug store while the other was something he thought that Agatha would really love. It was a blue wooden ocarina that he bought from a music store. Since the gypsy seemed like a musician to him, he figured that was the best present he could have gotten. He also hoped that it’d make her forget that he hadn’t visited right after he heard what happened.

“I’m doing okay though…” he said, “No changes that have really happened to me lately. I’m glad to see that you’re alright. I’ll admit that I was completely shocked when I got the news.”

A looming question then appeared in Walid’s head. It was something that he’d been curious about since the blue-haired woman told him about the accident. He didn’t want revenge or anything like that, but he still wanted to know the culprit. The Zaunite wanted even the slightest bit of information that he could, he wanted to know why Agatha was targeted in the first place.

“What kind of enemy did you exactly run into,” the pink-haired warrior asked as his smile faded away.

She gave him a playfully suspicious look when he pulled out a box and smiled, even as he bypassed telling her exactly how he'd gotten whatever was inside. "I'm hoping it was through legal means," Agatha teased as she took the box and carefully opened it. She saw the card first and took the time to read it before even peeking at what else might lay inside. However, when her eyes did finally fall on the wooden instrument, the gypsy lit up. "Wally..." she said, pulling the item gently out of the container and holding it for inspection like it was a precious artifact. "You didn't have to do this..."

It was clear by the look on her face, however, that she loved it. It did make her think of Minosha, at least for a brief moment. After all, a blue ocarina that used to belong to the Konatsian had been gifted to her by Chishan, and it was what she had used to locate Maker and spy on him for so long. Not exactly... pleasant memories... but Walid didn't know that, and honestly he didn't need to. Agatha had never touched Minosha's ocarina as an instrument, seeing it more as a priceless heirloom that deserved to be displayed and protected in a museum of some kind. But this? This was an ocarina she could actually play. As such, all thoughts of Maker went right out of her mind.

"Thank you, Walid. This was really quite thoughtful, and I love it." She intended on playing it for him a bit, but not before catching up and seeing how he was. He admitted he was shocked about the news of her hospitalization, and Agatha only nodded in understanding. Frankly, everyone had been shocked. After all, she hadn't told anyone where she was going, and most of the world believed she was the one that was attacked -- which confused most people, given her reputation for being kind. But of course, Walid asked about the person she fought with and Agatha wasn't going to lie to him.

Her head hung a bit as she looked down at the instrument cradled in her palms in her lap, suddenly feeling less like he should have bought it for her. "Actually... it would be more correct to say that the enemy encountered me," Agatha told him softly, with no amount of pride in her voice. "I've... been tracking someone for several months now. Someone that used to be a friend of Chishan's from a long time ago that he believed to be dead, and this person was doing all manner of bad things. Chish and I had plans to deal with him, but Chish got hurt... attacked by this former friend, but not before the man... killed my mother." Technically Sorcha had taken her own life, but Agatha still held Maker responsible for her passing.

She sighed gently through her nostrils, the pads of her thumbs gently caressing over the holes on the ocarina. "This man attacked them both to get to me, because he knew I was spying on him and I sort of pissed him off really bad the last time we met; he almost killed me. Would have, if I hadn't have had... a friend there." It was weird referring to Ramuh as a friend, but what else could she call him at that point. Her amber eyes darted up for a moment at the black cowboy had resting on the side table next to her bed before she looked back down. "Chishan was more or less in a coma, and something needed to be done before the man hurt more people to try and get to me. So I contacted him and had him meet me at an abandoned location. We fought, and... I killed him."

It was clear she wasn't happy about it.

A nod was the only thing that the pink-haired warrior offered as he heard the red-haired Gypsy's explanation. What he first learned was that he had the situation completely wrong. It was the fiend who went after her; she was the one who went after the culprit. Walid knew that there had to have been a reason for that, he felt like Agatha never would have gone head first into that without having a motive.

When the Lightning Lord’s name came up, he finally understood why she did. Lovers always held the biggest grudge when it came to something like that. When… the mention of her mother came up, the Avatar of War’s mouth was hung open as he went into shock. The fiend… killed… Agatha’s mother. That’s when the anger he held deep within him from earlier started to pile up once more.

No stop it… it’s not your battle to fight.

Almost instantly he was aware that what he asked might have unsettled the red-haired gypsy. Without saying so much as a word, he reached out to hug her. He felt like he probably shouldn’t have because she was still in the hospital, but he wanted to show that he cared.

“You’ve got more friends,” he said and then looked into her eyes, “Don’t forget that. Anytime you need help, I’ll come running.”

He shook his head at that thought because he was reminded about something that happened recently. He was willing to give up his life to make sure everyone was safe… and it didn’t go well. Walid told Bulma that he’d try to change that way of him, but apparently it was something that wasn’t yet possible. Regardless of that, his words were meant to be about any kind of help that was needed.

“Except sex though, I… I can’t help with that,” he added as a joke, “But all in all I’m glad that you’re okay Aggie, just don’t forget that you have comrades, you don’t have to fight alone anymore.”

The Avatar hugged her again and she accepted the gesture willingly, letting it soothe her. In truth, she'd come to terms enough with what happened by this point to at least be able to talk about it without instantly bursting into tears over the matter, but that didn't mean it was easy to discuss or admit to. But, Agatha wouldn't shy down from being truthful about it. She'd made the choice and done the deed, and she would live with the consequences.

"Thank you, Walid. I will probably need help next time." An ominous statement that likely wouldn't make a lot of sense to the Zaunite so she explained. "This person is someone who has been trying to meddle with Chishan's life for reasons I haven't been able to find out yet. All I know is that this isn't the first time he's died. Someone keeps bringing him back to life, and when he comes back this time... he'll be gunning for my head. All I really did was buy some time."

She didn't say who it was, because she wanted to talk to Chish before revealing too much information that he might consider personal, but these details were fine for now. It would be no surprise that the Lightning Lord had enemies, and that some of those enemies might have been former allies. Someone as powerful as Chishan was bound to be followed by danger and drama.

Then he said he couldn't help her with sex. Agatha couldn't help it. She busted up laughing, probably the hardest she had done so since waking up in the hospital. The gypsy clutched her stomach a bit, and said, "What, no sex? What is it? Am I not cute enough? I thought what we had was special, Walid..!" She teased, feigning being hurt by his insinuation that he wouldn't sleep with her.

So the culprit will return? The solution to the problem seemed obvious to the pink-haired warrior. What they needed to do was take out the one who was constantly reviving them. That, however, sounded like a task that’d take them awhile. The person was kept up in a place that couldn’t be easily reached. For the time being there was only one thing that they could do. Wait for the murderer to return and kick him back to Hell.

That was when things got very awkward in the room and it was all because of something that he had said. Walid didn’t know how he would do it, but sometime in the future he needed to remember to think before he spoke. He didn’t even mean what he said like that, he was speaking as far as advice went.

It wasn’t that he was inexperienced or anything, he just didn’t want to even think… about someone that he considered a sister… doing that. So that things didn’t get worse, he tried to once more say something that’d hopefully cheer her up. The pink-haired warrior went there to cheer his friend up, not beat her down.

“That’s… that’s not what I meant at all,” he said, blushing, “I’d totally bang you!”

Right away he knew that would somehow come to bite him on his butt. He was fully aware that the Lightning Lord and she were dating. What if Chishan was in the room or something, listening to everything that was said?

Agatha was simply having the hardest time containing her amusement. Poor Walid stammered for a moment, scrambling with some kind of response that would assure her he hadn't been trying to bag on her or insult her at all. And of course, the first thing that blurted out of his mouth in a panic was his insistence that it had nothing to do with her looks or personality, that she was attractive enough that he'd totally bang her.

"Is that so?"

The voice came from the open doorway that Walid hadn't shut behind him when he entered. A man stood before them with short dark red hair and dark green eyes. He was older and weathered looking, and had enough similarities to Agatha for the Zaunite to know that this was probably her dad. He was looking at Walid with a stoic, unreadable expression, a single red brow raised up into his forehead.

It was at that point that Agatha lost it and started laughing again. She reached out and took Walid's hand and pulled him into another hug to assure him she'd only been teasing. "Oh, be nice daddy," she quipped back to her father, who smirked a bit before walking into the room. "Dad, this is my friend Walid; he's one of the people we're going to Namek with. Wally, this is my father Micheil."

Micheil offered Walid a firm hand to shake. "Mickey," he said simply, providing Walid with the nick name that most people called him by. "It's nice to meet you." Then, he turned to Agatha. "I just spoke with your nurse on the way up here. They are signing your discharge papers now and then we can get you out of here and go get some real food."

"Oh thank God," the gypsy said dramatically. Weeks of hospital food had just been the worst. She looked at Walid with a smile. "See! Finally getting out of here. You can help spring me loose. Want to go get some lunch with us? My treat..."
