Controlling the Godly Ki had been a bit like trying to control a flowing stream of water. Sure, Chishan could put up walls of control that allowed him to divert and alter the flow but in the end, the pressure and intensity of the current was always pushing back. It was much easier to say 'work with it' than it was to actually do it. And yet, that never stopped the Saiyan Inferno. Everyday he took time during his training to meditate, to summon out the divine energy and give himself to it. Each and every instance he was able to expand his time controlling it a little longer.

One quick revelation he had was that the Godly Ki wasn't a weapon. It wasn't some energy source he could form into an attack and use as such. It could be strewn throughout his own natural ki to bolster an attack but beyond that, it was almost its own entity. Freeing it, helped in no small part by Bulma, had allowed his body and it to form a symbiotic relationship. Being apart from it during those weeks that Chis was still alive had actually been quite trying, though he never said as much out loud. He'd felt empty almost.

He did miss his clone...but he was relieved to have the ki back in its rightful place.

He was about a mile out from Blue Village, standing just along the water's edge. He'd chosen this particular pond to train at because it was far enough from the village that none would get hurt in addition to how peaceful it felt. The Saiyan wasn't a fan of worlds that had never ending days -- or nights in regards to Mortoseth -- but he did enjoy the elegant beauty of Namek's pristine environment. He'd stripped down to his training pants, leaving his shirt and boots on the small beach as he waded into the water. He stopped right as the water level got above his knees and he stared out across the surface of the lake. He closed his eyes and concentrated, allowing his body and mind to meld into one force that would open the door to his divine gift.

It wasn’t like Bulma to care about secrecy. Oh, she could be a busy body, she was naturally curious after all, and such things could eat at her irritation, but most of the time she could let it go if she had to. It wasn’t like her to care. She had her own sense of privacy that she didn’t like trampled on, so especially when it came to personal matters, she understood.

Why then, did this bother her so much? It was infuriating, and brought its own self deprecation with it. It was funny how that worked, when you responded in a way you weren’t used to, that you didn’t approve of, instead of just going “this is me” something else in you rebelled and beat you down over it.

This was not the time for either, and so Bulma did what she always did, found something to work on. After seeing Walid, she moved back to that, until she felt Chishan’s energy leaving the village. Was he stupid? Well, she knew he was stupid, but powering up anywhere right now was like setting off a flare to say “Here I am.” She supposed he could take care of himself, and she was going to brush it off until she remembered her earlier discovery.

”Oh!” she lets out then quickly gathers up the things she needed, pressing a number of astrological maps into a tube that she stuck under her arm before scurrying off after the man. She had just called him stupid, but she left the perimeter of the village with the same rash stupidity and lack of thought.

She found him half naked in a small pond, and it made her freeze up. She wasn’t sure why. There was something else welling inside her that she wasn’t used to: fear. It wasn’t the fear of danger, of the battles to come. She understood that. No, this was different. It welled up and she couldn’t place to source or the reason. She only knew it had something to do with Chishan.

”You just always need an excuse to take off your shirt,” she manages, keeping her tone light as her hand found a place on her hip.

It was like that moment right before sleep. One's body had gotten comfortable, their mind had begun to settle and dispersed the thoughts that may linger. The slow fall into restful bliss was right in front and all it would take was one more step and then they would be off into restful slumber. Chishan usually didn't have much trouble falling asleep; he managed to box his worries or fears up and place them away until he actually needed to look at them.

But he knew that moment. And this had been just like that, on the cusp of connecting his body with the Godly Ki when Bulma spoke up. There was a slight jump on his part, one that was trained to respond to unusual sounds with defense. His muscles tensed and his head swiveled around to look at her over his shoulder, casting a sharp glare in case it was an intruder. But alas, it was just the the blue-haired CEO.

He sighed, releasing his tension through his breath. "I wasn't expecting company," He answered her simply. As if that was ever a reason; Chishan had found less plausible excuses to remove his shirt and other clothing He wasn't shy about it and even now it was a rather mundane explanation. To a point he knew she would see right through that but frankly...he didn't care.

He had a short moment where he thought about getting back to his meditation but decided against it. He honestly wouldn't be able to listen to her and talk back with her while trying to concentrate. Best to save it for a better time. He turned on the spot, the water sloshing softly against his legs as he faced her. He extended his arm and his shirt flew from the shabby pile to his hand in an instant. As he began to pull the clothing back on, he spoke. He'd already assumed why she was here; most likely to give him grief for moving so far away from the village. Either way, he wasn't about to speak out based on base assumptions. "What's up?"

An absent excuse with absent attention. It stung. Once again, she wasn't sure why. Normally if she felt as such, she would jump to scolding him. Belittle me! Or something like that. But that wasn't what he was doing. That wasn't what he was trying to do, and just because he wasn't as attentive to her in his own small world of misery didn't mean she had any room to yell.

"What if we move the planet?" she blurts instead, looking to him with a mixture of worry and something he knew all too well. It was the look she had when they added a star's energy to his power suit, or the look she had explaining how she planned to use the filucine to power and support underground tunnels in the wake of new disasters. It was the look she got when she had a mad idea, where the worry came was uncertain.

"I've thought about it a lot, and I'm sure you have too. Even if we manage to take out Ascalon's forces and rid Namek of the PTO, they will come back harder with even more forces along with a bad taste in their mouth, which will result in more innocents being killed," she explains, hitting on a very sensitive nail of their plan. Even if they stopped the violence here and now, Namek and her people were doomed as long as the PTO considered it their property.

"But what if, after getting rid of them, we move the planet."

Well he didn't receive rebuke like he expected. No instead he got the mad scientist Bulma.

He'd just pulled his shirt completely over his body when the CEO's words burst forth from her mouth, halting his movements as he stared at her quizzically. It sounded like a ridiculous notion; move the planet. He was silent as she expanded on her reasons for thinking of it. She wasn't wrong; he'd put a lot of thought into what would happen once and if they won. It wasn't like a defeat like that would send the PTO packing, swearing revenge but never acting upon it.

No, they would come back. With a lot more forces, with angrier warriors, with the sole intention of wiping out every living being on Namek if only out of spite and revenge. They'd come to act in a bad situation but the cost of winning was to further poke the bear. Did that cause his will to save the Namekians to falter? Of course not. Innocent people were under attack and that wasn't something he could ignore.

"Yeah. Last thing we need is one of the Cold members showing up out of vengeance. And they will," Chishan didn't know a whole lot of about the Cold royalty but he knew enough to understand that this slight would not be overlooked. It would put Namek right in the crosshairs, along with anyone that helped rid the PTO controlling forces. It wasn't that he didn't care about going to war with the PTO. It was more...he knew innocent lives would be put further in danger because of it. And he didn't want that.

"I'm assuming you have an idea to how we can move the planet?" He asked, stepping out of the water and standing on the beach. "There are a lot of factors to take into effect. Gravitational stability, orbital fluctuations altering the planet's weather and of course location, location, location."

Bulma nods, scrunching her shoulders a little as she contained a shudder. Last thing we need and they will. Well, she was hinging this plan on time. If they kept a low profile, maybe they could manage to do this before then. Ascalon didn’t seem the type to jump for reinforcements, and yet...She was worried she had underestimated Namek’s importance to the PTO.

”Well, without a TARDIS, the next best option is the dragonballs,” she says, smiling a little at her reference. Moving the planet was strangely, the more simplistic of tasks. If they could get the guard together properly, then they pretty much already had the dragonballs. The next point was where it got trickier.

”Right, which is why I didn’t come out with it to start,” she explains, pulling the tube out from under her arm, she waved him over, sitting down in the grass and opening the tube to pull out the multiple star maps as well as pages and pages of data. ”But I came up with an algorithm to take in account all of those things and it’s taken a bit to search through the expanse of space but…” she points down to a specific spot on the map. It was actually only a system over, like moving the planet next door, but it had the same exposure to three stars that would pull the planet in a similar way. If her data was correct, the summers would be a bit hotter, but not something the Namekians couldn’t handle. ”If we faked an explosion while moving the planet, we could make the PTO think Namek was destroyed. It wouldn’t be unexpected considering your strength that a fight got out of hand,” she rambles on, her speech still quick and a little unnerved..

”And I don’t know what’s wrong with you or what happened or if it’s any of my business but I kind of thought you were my business,” she continues, changing the subject with zero warning and not looking up from the map.

Chishan didn't know what a TARDIS was. When Bulma mentioned it and seemed to smile at the apparent pop culture reference, the Saiyan just continued to stare at her, though there was a tinge of confusion. It was something he'd have to look up at some point, though given everything that was happening it probably wouldn't be anytime soon. Still, her mention of the Dragonballs being a viable option kept his attention.

Bulma was quick to extract a set of star maps from the tube under her arm, waving him over in the process. He moved to stand across from her, his arms crossing over one another as he stared down at the flimsy sheets that were flanked by loads and loads of data. She'd clearly done her research in terms of locating a new place and she explained as such, saying that it had taken some time but she'd possibly found a place for 'new Namek' as one might call it.

Of course, that plan hinged on deceiving the PTO into thinking Namek was truly gone. A factor she had concluded would be best wrapped up by creating an explosive diversion, leading everyone to believe that Namek had exploded. But the why of it and the how bothered him and it would be obvious by the look on his face. It wouldn't be unexpected because of his strength? She was more or less saying he was a ticking time bomb, unable to control his power and ready to go off if he got too out of hand.

It was something he was ready to touch on when she swiftly and without warning changed the topic, confronting him about his sudden change in behavior. It was a bit jarring if he was being honest with himself and it caught the voice in his throat as she essentially said he was her business. It was the 'maybe I don't have a right to know but I want to know despite that'. It was a side of Bulma he hadn't really seen.

He took a beat to let that sit, staring at her with a concentrated and unwavering gaze. "Bulma, we're close. You are one of the more trustworthy people I know. With that said, I thought you understood that things are going to happen that I won't tell you about. Things that happen between Agatha and I won't always be something I'm going to tell you or anyone else about. It's not a lack of trust; it's simply meant to be between her and I. If it was your business, you'd know. I'm sorry if that seems cold but it's the truth when it comes to being in a relationship."

"Some things happened. I'm working through it, Agatha is working through it. We're here and we want to help. That's all that matters now. We're not distracted by anything else, we're not being brought down by the things that happened. You need to trust us to get through it. I know you think you have to be the voice of reason to this group, the figure that keeps us focused on one goal because we're the less mature. Look around, Bulma. Think of the things we've already done as a group in this small amount of time we've been together. You called us wild cards before, when we first talked about this. But are we? We're rough sure but who isn't? Point is we're working hard towards a goal and doing it without having our hands held. You need to take us seriously like we do you. We've earned that respect."

He took a breath. "Moving Namek is one thing. But pretending that I blew it out up out of mad loss of power? Beyond insulting me, it will destroy everything we're trying to work for. The Namekians may be thankful for it but the rest of the galaxy will think that we destroyed a planet. Even if it was defending it from the PTO, that's a smudge on our little to nothing respect that will never get clean. No one will want a shield that crushed its first owner under its weight."

He sighed gently, almost exhausted from having to be as brutally honest as he was being. "Why don't we use the Dragonballs to wish for something that affects the PTO instead? We have three wishes; so here's what I'm thinking. First we wish for an energy shield of sorts that surrounds the core of the world. That way the PTO can never destroy the world in a fit of rage. Second we wish that no being that holds or has held allegiance to the PTO can bring harm to the Namekian people. Thirdly, we wish all the current PTO members on the planet back to Frieza-sei, ridding it completely of their control. I know it sounds like a long shot but in the end, it may work out for the better."

So he offered another option, not wanting to close the dialogue or the chance to work something out. Despite the harshness of his words, he wasn't trying to attack Bulma. He promised to always be honest with her and sometimes the hard truths hurt. He only hoped she would understand what he was trying to get at; he wanted her to fully open her eyes and see every single Guardian for who they were. Despite being the 'founders' of the idea, Chishan considered every one an equal. And he hoped Bulma would too.

WC: Totally doesn't matter.

Bulma forced herself to look up to him as he spoke. Her gaze remained soft, and she took his words in without judgement, without anger. She asked him because, she needed to ask him, but she did not need to know. Not telling her was not cold, though perhaps explaining to her why she shouldn’t as if she were a child was. If she took it as such, it did not show on her face. Instead, it kept that soft consideration, obviously caring for whatever he had to say whether she liked the contents or not.

”Agatha told me some of what happened,” she says after a short moment. ”You didn’t.” He had told her the least amount possible. He had not said anything about what happened to him, what role he had with Minosha’s death, what he had been through. He had not told her he almost died, or the Chis had died. Originally, she had thought it was Agatha’s tale to tell, but after hearing it, after seeing Chishan after it, she couldn’t settle herself that that was all there was to it.

She looks away, closing her eyes. ”I’m sure, there are some aspects that need to stay between the two of you, and I know you will support each other as best you can, but I could not sit with myself without asking anything.”

Opening her eyes and looking back down to the star charts, she thought about the rest of his words. Did she think them less mature? She didn’t think it was as simple as that, not anymore. If she thought Chishan was merely immature, she would not have come to him for input on this plan to begin with. And yet, We have not accomplished anything, she thought, quietly to herself. He was, so very full of himself sometimes, but then, she could be judgey and small minded. She thought she was thinking of all these things, but maybe she wasn’t.

”I’m sorry, that’s not what I meant,” she says gently, smiling very slightly despite herself though it was sad. Somehow, they always managed to rub each other the wrong way didn’t they? ”I’ve been looking at Agatha’s files on Ascalon for too long. It’s his madness that worries me. It wouldn’t be unreasonable, in a fight against him, with both your strengths, that the world was destroyed.”

She thought about his wishes for another moment, her brow furrowing. ”I worry about the vagueness of the second wish. Allegiance is a complicated term, and the Cold Clan is ruthless. I don’t think they will lay down without having their proper ‘say’...I guess I would rather our reputation be marred and be sure the people were safe than leave anything to risk,” she explains, sitting back and looking back to him with the same calm gaze. ”Smaller picture over the bigger picture,” she says, with the weakest of smiles. ”You probably know the PTO better than I do, do you really think that would be enough?”

"It wasn't important."

It came out quick enough that it actually surprised Chishan that he said it. With those words simply, it made it seem like everything that had happened wasn't important and truthfully, it was. It was arguably the most important thing that had ever happened to him, beyond getting the Godly Ki. He was quick to add on. "What I mean is that between everything that was happening here and what had already happened, I was putting my focus more on helping Namek than anything else. I wasn't in denial over what happened, I just needed to keep my focus where it was needed more in a given time. If I'm weighed down over what happened, it could very well mess up anything I'm doing."

She did her best to explain her reasons for blurting out near the end of her explanation. He shrugged. "Then ask, Bulma. I believe you care and I believe you want to know so you can help. But you have to actually ask, like you used to. What you did just now...that wasn't asking," He scratched the back of his head. He kept his gaze steady on her though. "But a better time, when we're not staring down the barrel of some angry PTO Elite members."

She explained her reasoning for assuming the planet's destruction a bit more and while it made a bit more sense, it still didn't take away the sting of it. "If anything like that looked like it could happen, I wouldn't let it. Even if it meant having to transmit him into space and killing us both. I didn't come here just to watch this world burn or explode. Before you give me grief over that, it would be the last thing I would do, if all other options were spent. I'm not looking to make any stupid sacrifices unless absolutely necessary," He'd said something similar to Bulma before and her reaction had not been positive. He wanted to ensure that this wasn't some hero complex acting out.

Bulma was right about the second wish and he nodded with the sentiment. "Maybe a banishment of any alien or being that has worked directly with the PTO? Can't set foot on Namek ever again, barring that a certain amount of time? Time enough for the Guard to unite and build up a reasonable fighting force," He scoffed mirthlessly and shook his head. "I don't know. I really don't think I know them better than anyone else. Just what was ingrained in me from being part of the Empire. PTO was bad news, kill on sight. We're dealing with a lot of open possibilities. So we just have to try what we can. Because honestly..."

"I feel like we haven't seen the worst the PTO can throw at us yet."
