Yan shaped the astral realm absently, and quickly felt bad about it. He made a stone wall, old and mossy, and he sat atop it as the ground spread out beneath him into rolling hills of a soft green. Flowers speckled the scene and the sky was of a deep blue. He pushed himself to his feet, and stretched his arms out for balance as he wandered along the wall. Tents faded into existence, quicker than man could set them up and soon the field was bustling with the life of a carnival, one he had seen in passing many, many years before. It was a bright and sunny day, but there was two unknown moons that could still be seen in the distance. It was not Earth, but where it was exactly if not completely a creation of his own mind was up to question. He hummed a soft tune, and from his nose it carried, until someone was playing the upbeat song for him. He stopped, suddenly, his leg held up in the air from his march before he slowly lowered it. ”Hoi,” he lets out, as he felt the second real presence in the realm. He had called out to her, pulling on the strings of the gem, and was more than pleased she showed up. He turned with a careful spin and grinned widely. ”Oh, you look fine,” he says immediately, faking a scowl, before hopping down. He had heard the news of her hospitalization, it was really quite hard to miss for anyone who paid attention to Earth. ”Quite fine~” he adds, in an almost teasing flirt, his grin returning. 275/275 |

The gypsy was buried nose deep in maps and charts of Namek, studying the locations of the PTO forces and places that had been hit. There was a pile of information next to her on Ascalon and any of his cronies she'd managed to find out about, giving some rather interesting -- and appalling -- details of his past deeds. A headache had just been starting to threaten her when she instead felt a gentle throbbing in her senses, coaxing her attention toward her crystal ball on the coffee table. Interesting. Someone was calling her. With a gentle frown, Agatha put down the maps and moved over to the ball, kneeling in front of it to take a look. The image she saw in the ball's surface of a familiar redhead carefully traipsing along a rock wall with a carnival in the background instantly brought a grin to her face. Without hesitating, she reached out a slender hand and placed it upon the ball, closing her eyes. When she opened them again, she was standing at the base the wall right behind him, leaning against it with a pleased smirk as she waited for him to turn around. The smirk only deepened a bit when he seemed almost disappointed that she seemed fine; he'd have known, of course, about her stint in the hospital. But the scowl on his face lasted only a moment before his boyish grin returned and he teased her playfully. "Perks of being a healer: I don't hold injuries long," she teased back with a wink about her physical health. Then, her smirk widened into a grin and a slight giggle as she shook her head a bit, happy to see him. "It's good to see you, too, handsome." Agatha reached out and gave him a hug, wrapping her arms around his neck and giving him an affectionate kiss on the cheek before pulling back. Hooking one of her arms through his, she started to walk casually with him. "How are things in the life of Yan?" Agatha asked, her eyes and smile staying on him even as they walked.

Yan offered a small sideways nod of his head, as if agreeing that was a good point. He too, had very fast healing cells, though he always wrote that off as him being part demon than anything else. Truth be told though, not all demons healed as well as he did. It was something slightly unique to him, and maybe it was because his energy naturally moved to do those things. Who knew really? As she reached out to hug him, he returned it eagerly, wrapping his arms around her waist. He gave her a gentle squeeze and then even picked her up, burying his face into his hair for just a moment. ”I’m glad you’re safe,” he said, or maybe he thought, the telepathic link even stronger in this realm. He didn’t seem to have meant to say it either way, and he held her close for a moment longer, then let her go, turning his cheek into the kiss already expecting it. His hand lifted and gently bopped her on the nose. Despite the intimate relationship they’d shared once before, nothing seemed to be needed said about the same not happening again. Whether he had picked it up in her mind during that lengthy time in Central City, or read her unavailability in the way she carried herself, he seemed to know, and he did not bother to press, taking her arm easily and walking as friends might do. ”Don’t you know?” he asks with a bit of whimsy, tilting his head up and feigning another face of stubbornness. He knew from their first venture she had her way of keeping an eye on him. So was he not worth looking in on? Tsk, tsk. He'd paid attention to her~ In addition, he also knew her connection to Chishan, to a degree, there were a number of assumptions involved, but the fact they’d been traveling together was no large secret. He knew of Anna’s visit to her father, and with it, another couple of cats were out of the bag. Well, there were a few more assumptions in that, but he’d rather keep himself prepared he knew, then jump into their next meeting ignorant. 366/641 |

She was glad for his eager hug, giggling a bit as he lifted her up. Her smile softened a bit when he told her he was glad that she was safe, and she didn't respond with words. Rather, Agatha simply held him a little tighter as appreciation for the sentiment, happy to be in the man's presence... even if it was just in the Astral Realm. Yan bopped her on the nose lightly and she grinned up at him, pleased as always with his playful mannerisms. There were, of course, some things that had kept Agatha from kissing him on the lips rather than the cheek, but surprisingly that had nothing to do with the fact that she was dating Chishan. Well, it kind of did, but not specifically for that. It was more that, through her relationship with the Saiyan, she had learned that Yan had a thing with his other daughter, Anna. It was out of respect to the girl that Agatha had chosen to back off a little bit on her physicality, and that topic was sure to come up eventually, but it wasn't a subject she was going to open with. Instead, she gave the other redhead a wry smirk when he seemed to imply that she'd probably been keeping an eye on him with her magical means. "No, I don't," she told him teasingly, brushing right past his fake stubbornness with a smile. "I could spy on you if I wanted to, sure. But I don't. That would be invasive toward your privacy, darling, and I respect you more than that. I care about you more than that." By the time she finished talking, the smirk had become something much more genuine and sweet and she nudged him playfully in his side with her arm. "Besides, I'd much rather hear about your life from being with you and talking to you, than spying on you without interaction... as tempting as it is to take a peek from time to time just to see if I can catch you naked." Agatha grinned again, a devious little expression he'd seen many times on the gypsy's face before.

"And I'm naked more times than not~" Yan answers her sentiment with a wide grin. It was funny, with all the things that had happened lately he knew he probably should have hoped there were no spying eyes. Between his work with Damaskia, his plots with Juch, the murders he'd committed, the private moments with Tomoko, the horror story Anna was becoming, he knew he should have been pleased she didn't see or know. There was too much darkness in Yan's life and whatever she saw could not be unseen, but he wanted it. He realized that only after she confirmed she hadn't. It was the same way he would always answer a question of him if the person pressed. He didn't keep secrets, not on purpose. He had nothing to hide, nothing he wanted to hide. If Agatha wanted to know, he'd simply be pleased, even if she never looked at him as genuinely again. He craved it, to be seen, and yet he trusted no one to see. Sometimes it was better if the choice was out of his hands. "You should visit with me more then," he says a bit softer, staring on ahead as he led her towards the tents. "The life of Yan could use more positive influences~" He pauses there, seeming to think about his next words. He looks back to her, his dark eyes kind and curious. "I was given a position of power, went through two minions before settling on one I kind of like, and met with an emperor about changing the state of the universe. A man I might care for has claimed to trust me and has gone to lengths to prove it, but when we met, he made it clear he would not trust me, nor care for me, and yet I cannot find his angle. I'm on my way 'home' right now and I'm quite unnerved. The places from our youth always hit us the hardest, but the Soothsayer predicted it, a while back now, and it is the best of options." He said it all quite simply, like he was filling her in on how the family was after she'd been gone from home a while. It was vague, as he always was at least to begin with, but the fact he answered at all said something of their time together. He picked out the things he found important, and noticeably, Anna was not listed. The fact she cared for him did not mean he cared for her. He lifts his chin a little, smiling again. "Your turn~" |

"Oh, just go ahead and tempt me, why don't you?" Agatha teased right back, shooting him a flirty little smirk at the knowledge that he would probably be naked if she ever spied on him. Boyfriend or no, it was tempting. Agatha was certainly allowed to look and appreciate, as was Chishan. The ginger's grin faded a moment as they walked and he told her that she should visit more often to be a positive influence. Yan said it in such a way that her brows furrowed in concern as she looked at him, but she said nothing and allowed him to speak on his own time. What he had to say didn't ease her expression at all. She was silent for a time after he spoke, letting his words sink in and digesting them in all their vague glory. He might have sold it like a casual family catch up, but Agatha wasn't fooled by that. The gravity of his words were plain, even if he approached the explanation somewhat candidly. Her free hand lifted up enough to rest itself against the side of his shoulder on the arm that her other hand was hooked to. "Sounds stressful," she told him softly. "I'm sorry to hear about the man. It's never easy to be around someone whose actions are... conflicting. If you'd like, I can try to help you research him a bit. I'm pretty good at digging for information. If it comes down to it I can try to... spy on him a bit more actively for you, if you think he's a danger. I don't like doing that, but I will in certain circumstances." It was obvious that she was offering to try and watch the fellow a bit through the same means she'd watched Yan during their date. Agatha didn't like invading people's privacy, but there were certain times when she would risk it if she felt it was necessary. Such as, if she felt she could protect someone by doing so. Either way, the gypsy was offering to help Yan if he wanted it. He'd know her well enough by now to know she wouldn't do anything that went against her morals, but that she was open minded enough to hear something out before making any decisions one way or another. He advised it was her turn, and Agatha turned to face forward in thought as she took a moment to decide where to begin. Tilting her head, she rested it comfortably on his shoulder as they walked. Might as well jump into the nitty gritty, she decided. "My mother was killed and my boyfriend attacked, both by the same man, in an effort to hurt me. He destroyed my childhood home and burned down the entire neighborhood. I called him out and confronted him in an effort to get him to stop before he hurt anyone else, and killed him." She said it evenly, but it was clear she wasn't happy about it. There was no trace of pride or satisfaction in her voice over the matter at all. "Nearly died myself in the process. Now, I'm in Namek with a small group of friends trying to aid the locals in fighting back against the PTO occupation there, which just recently got violent." That seemed to about sum everything up in a nice, simple little ball, about on par with Yan's own explanations -- though hers was given with a bit more sobriety. She smirked a bit against his shoulder. "I also learned that you know my boyfriend, and that I apparently have you to thank for most, if not all, of my sexual exploits on Toffit."

"Oh no, no," Yan says quickly at her offer to spy, shaking his head and gaining an appreciative smile at the offer. "No," he says again, softer this time. "The things he's hiding...well, it's not the type of thing people live to tell about. He is a game I must feel out on my own, and I'm happy to. It keeps things interesting," he explains his smile easy and honest as he said it. He looked back to her though and offered her a small shrug. It was troubling too, but he could deal with it. It was an "it can't be helped" shrug, and it really couldn't. More than likely she'd only find him arguing with a cat anyway. He watched her as she gave his question the same thought he gave hers, and as she rested her head to his shoulder, he pulled his arm away to wrap it around hers more comfortably. Her tale was much more dreary than his, centered around one specific event. She glossed over it almost, moving to the most present, and while that definitely perked his interest he held back on jumping on it immediately. Walid could wait. "My father was killed," he says, surprising himself as the words came out. Once they were out his throat felt dry and tight as if he'd swallowed something deadly instead of spitting it out. He kept his gaze straight ahead though, masking his discomfort except for the tiniest bit of a frown. "Because of me, when I was a little younger than you." The irony was dreadful. They had met and connected, like two sides of the same coin, and while he thought they were separating, her side was becoming more like his. Wasn't it at the point he found the one person he might be able to say he loved too? The world was a crazy place. "And I killed them." His reason had not been as noble as hers, though there was no pride or satisfaction in his words either. He had wanted them stopped. In some ways, it was to stop them from hurting others. He didn't have a revenge fantasy and he wasn't shocked when he did not feel better after they were dead. But more than anything, he had simply wanted them dead. He looks back to her his gaze soft, having more compassion to her then he did himself. "In my experience, killing never feels right, even when it's justified," he explains softly. His problem was perhaps that it had never felt wrong either. "The important thing is you do not let it define you. There's much too much more to you than that," he says sincerely, and he lifted his hand to rustle her hair. Without much pause he leaned over and gently kissed her temple. He obviously believed it, and if it wasn't made clear their encounters before, well, she'd made it clear to him. The moment was immediately lightened at the mention of Chishan, and Yan snorted. "That guy tried to kill me then went with me to a BDSM bar. You could do better but then...he does have some nice abs, so I can't blame you," he says keeping a grin. The poor Saiyan would never live down scaring Yan. It didn't matter that he had no killing intent, charging up to over ten times the strength of their opponent was trying to kill them. Plain and simple. Even Chishan had admitted he had no excuse that night. He might accuse Yan of trying to destroy the city in turn but well, that was normal for Yan. "He has a good heart too," he admits before shaking his head. If only the man knew how to focus it. That wasn't on Agatha though. Chishan had room to grow on his own. |

The man was a game? Well, that was... one way of looking at it, she supposed. An interesting perspective, but Yan knew more about his own situation than she did so Agatha decided not to read too far into it. Nonetheless, he seemed grateful for her offer and that was really what she wanted to convey: that if there was anything she could help with, all he had to do was ask. She leaned against him and he was quick to adjust his arm to put it around her. Agatha shifted in kind, moving her inside arm comfortably around the small of his back. What Yan said to her next was unexpected to say the least. He opened up to her about something far more personal than anything he ever had before. The gypsy turned to look up at them as they walked, her head still resting against him even as she gave him her full attention. Agatha didn't say a word, only let him talk all the way through, even as he looked back down at her. Yan explained that killing never felt right, no matter how necessary it was, and encouraged her not to let it become her. He played with her hair a moment before kissing her temple, and she closed her eyes and sighed lightly through her temples in an effort to let the emotions flow calmly out of her. "I'm trying not to," the redhead told him softly. "Despite everything he did, I didn't want him to die. I wanted a peaceful solution, but..." She shook her head a bit. "Well, I guess it doesn't matter now. It happened the way that it did, and for better or worse I have to live with it. It will haunt me the rest of my life, but I'll manage... thanks in no small part to the encouragement from friends like you, to help me think clearly when I am not." Agatha looked to him once more and gave him a small, but genuine smile. The expression grew all the more when the talk turned to Chishan, and Agatha laughed a bit. She didn't at all agree with the sentiment that she could do better, and was perhaps a bit mildly offended at the insinuated that the Saiyan wasn't good enough for her, but not enough to let it kill the mood or alter her feelings in the moment. Yan had his own history with Chishan that was completely separate from the history that Agatha had with the Lightning Lord, one that she already knew started out rocky at best. She didn't share Yan's belief that Chishan was a sub par choice for her, but neither was she going to judge the ginger for his opinion on it. "He does have some fabulous abs," Agatha agreed, shooting Yan a devilish grin. "But there's much more to him than that. He's a good man, and a hard worker. He has his personal battles and has made his mistakes, as we all do, and will make more in the future... but he's been focusing a lot on bettering himself. He wasn't happy with where his life was, but has actively worked to change that. He's not perfect, and I wouldn't have him any other way." There was no interest in her for perfect things. Something that was flawed had room for improvement, left chance for change and adventure. And if he was perfect... well, then he wouldn't need her. A slight smirk tugged on her lips, the expression wry as Agatha looked to him. "Unfortunately for us, my dear, this also means that I'm aware now of your... relationship with Anna." She paused at the word relationship to convey that she wasn't entirely certain what the status truly was between him and Chishan's daughter, just that she knew there was history there that was at least in part romantically involved. And by the way she said it he'd know that it was because of Anna, not the gypsy's relationship with Chishan, that Agatha was a bit less physically friendly than she normally would have been with Yan otherwise; she was respecting the other woman's feelings toward him. It would be hard to tell what she knew about their exploits from the simple statement, given that her expression was unreadable and free of judgment or assumption, but Yan could likely guess that Agatha knew near about everything that Chish did. Either way, she didn't ask any questions or make any other statements on the subject for now, leaving the topic open ended to gauge if it was something Yan wanted to discuss or not.
