Levana hadn’t seen the Celestial anymore after their last encounter at the beach. She wondered if he had been avoiding her or just got busy. Would he have been thinking of her? She had sure thought about him often… Again, a playful smile spread across her lips, when she recalled that meeting. What happened between them was very unexpected to her, but definitely not unpleasant and she didn’t regret it what so ever. Maybe, she kind of regretted the way they separated, but she wasn’t going to keep dwelling on that.

She had already tried to find him before, but as far as she could tell he wasn’t on Earth anymore at the time being. That or he had managed to suppress his ki signature so well, that she didn’t manage to find him. Either way, she wanted to give it one last time through her telepathic abilities. Like that she should be able to track him anywhere in the galaxy, if he wanted to be found at least.

The feline girl took a deep breath and closed her eyes, while her mind wandered, searching for Azrael. It didn’t take long before she found herself in a completely different setting.

She opened her eyes again and started to walk around to have a look. Now this was rather nice, definitly different than most of her other journeys to the realm. She actually found herself in what seemed to be a beautiful cottage at a lake. In the background she could see several mountains with still a bit of snow on the tops.

The double door to the terrace stood wide open, allowing the soft spring breeze to enter the room. Levana went outside and sat down on one of the lounge chairs, while she waited to see if the Celestial would show up or not.

"Your hands are going to destroy the world."

The words rang in his ears like the din of a million bells screaming alarm. Each syllable punctuated and dug in like a knife aimed to cut his heart out. They remained with him even as the mortal realm faded behind him and he was forced upon a path he had never traveled.

He had failed. He had failed himself, he had failed the victims, and he had failed his honor. He had been given the faith of the Cosmic Emperor and yet it had not been rewarded in kind. It was potentially one of the worst feelings he had ever felt. His pride, the pride he shouldn't have carried, was damaged.

As he began to travel between realms he suddenly felt something pulling him another direction. His attention turned to it and in a moment he found himself standing at a peaceful cottage. It reminded him of the place of solace Nepthys had taken him, yet she was nowhere to be found. Instead he saw Levana standing before him.

"You? Are you dead?"

Levana sensed him before she could actually see him, before he had fully arrived and a playful grin formed on her lips. It was an energy that had become so familiar by now, she slightly wondered why though.

The confused look on his face immediately gave way that something was wrong and her smile quickly faded. But before she could ask what it was, he asked her a question himself. The question really took her by surprised and she probably looked as confused now as he did. She even remained silent for a brief moment, while his words repeated in her head and she started to frown slightly. Was she dead?

To be honest, she wasn’t sure what to expect from this meeting. Considering what happened last time and they way she had treated him, it could go very good or very bad. Several scenarios had played in her head before his arrival, but this wasn’t exactly one of them.

“Eum… I…No… I don’t… think so. Why?” she stumbled, still not sure what to make out of this. What could have happened that he assumed she died?

She stepped a bit closer to him, but not to close, and tried to lock eyes with him, “Are you okay?”

The question left his lips without really thinking about the other options. His mind was obviously elsewhere at the moment, his own demise weighing heavily upon him. Like the albatross around his neck it weighed him down, something that he would never forget. Then again he should have known that there was always that possibility. The curse of mortality that had been placed upon him after his fall from heaven.

In a way he had asked for it, and in some strange way it allowed him to embrace his new existence. He wasn't sure just how lucky he would be in the future. There was no telling if he had a limited number of lives to live or if he was going to be stuck in heaven for eternity again, doomed to live much like normal mortals.

But for the moment he was neither here nor there. He hadn't fully made his way to heaven, he was in between realms. It wasn't until he saw the woman's reaction to his question that he realized what was going on. She must have been searching for him in the moments before his death, and so his conciousness had been brought here while his body was being turned into a skin suit.

The angel looked upon the confused feline and offered a sad smile. "Its...nothing. I'll be just fine. Although I am surprised to see you after the last time we met."

He decided it best to change subjects for now, after all they seemed to be inquire a peaceful setting. There was no use dwelling for now.

“I know you better than that…,” she replied without thinking, indicating that she didn’t believe that it was ‘nothing’. The look on his face and the sad tone in his voice made it clear that there was something something going on. Though did she really know him that well, as she just claimed? There relationship, or whatever you want to call it, always so complicated. One moment he let her come closer, only to push her away again the next. Why didn’t he want to tell her what was wrong? Asking if someone was dead was a pretty odd question to just being brushed off as ‘nothing’.

Or maybe it was just because of seeing her again, that he looked the way he did. He didn’t exactly seem happy to see her again or maybe he just didn’t expect it, like his last words indicated.

“Eum, yeah.. I’m sorry about that…,” she mumbled and slightly turned away from him, to look at nothing particular somewhere behind him. She did not actually regret what had happened, but still she felt like she had to apologize. Not the what, but for the how. She could have blamed Lilim for that, but that might have been too easy. She knew very well what was going on at the time being.

Damn, why had she even searched for him? She should have know it was a bad idea. She had expected to be so excited to see him again, and actually she still was, but since he clearly did not share her feeling, she just wasn’t sure what to say.

“It’s been a while since… I saw you… and I guess… I just… wanted to see you again?” she finally managed to say, while she still wasn’t looking at him. The words came out slow, as if she was speaking a language she wasn’t very familiar with and had to think longer about the correct words, and even than she didn’t seem certain about what she was saying.

He spoke rather matter of factly, so much so that be was afraid it came out a bit harsh. True he had been feeling a little guilty after her words at the end of their last meeting. He had not behaved like an angel should have, he had given in to mortal temptations and feelings of the flesh. In that moment he had told himself he would be better, and yet there was still that part of him that was sure he hadn't done anything wrong.

Needless to say the whole experience had raised many questions in his mind. To the point that he had retreated to the next dimension in order to seek some answers. What he had found was just the top of the spear in regards to his quest for more information. And now he was headed back, at the very least he might be able to delve deeper into his past and into the mystery youth that had been a part of his fall.

For the moment though he was with Levana and so he left the rest for a later time. He offered a small smile. "Perhaps you do. Lets just say that an unfortunate series of events has taken place but there's no use worrying over it. For now though, you're right. It has been some time. There's nothing to apologize for, it was on me."

He heard the change in her voice and took a step toward her. "You seem to be acting a bit differently now though. Have things been ok for you?"

He offered her a little small, but she didn’t know how sincere it really was. He still didn’t answer what was wrong, he just stayed very vague and said that there was no use of worrying over it. Whatever ‘it’ may be then. So she figured she would just leave it.

Instead, the conversation seemed to go back to their previous meeting… not something she preferred to talk about actually. What happened happened. She briefly looked at him as he took the ‘blame’ sort of speak. To her it sounded now like he regretted what had happened and it made her feel worse than she expected. What was she thinking anyway? That he would want to see her again too? That he missed her maybe?

The feline girl softly shook her head and stepped outside on the terrace again to get into the sunlight. It didn’t really help, she still felt cold in a way, even though there was a bright, warm sun shinning in the clear blue sky of the realm.

“I’m fine,” she answered honestly. She had met some people, went on some missions, but nothing bad had happened, just the usual stuff.

She sighed softly before she continue, “Not.. that different probably,“ she had to admit. Unlike what some people might have suspected if they knew the whole story, she had not been possessed by Lilim and now had come back to her senses, “I’m just me, I’ve always just been me… you just never saw that side before I guess.”

The celestial listened to her as she talked of the way things had gone down and her actions. At the very least she told him she was fine and it seemed truth enough. He didn't sense anything off about her to make him think otherwise. Since he had no memory or thoughts of a place like the one they found themselves he had to assume her mind was intact enough to have created a peaceful escape.

Either way, Azrael listened. It seemed that whatever had been causing her to act strangely before had brought out a side of her that usually lay dormant. Now if course he didn't think that a person should ever suppress a part of themselves lest they become little more than mindless drones. But he was glad to see that she had managed to find the balance within herself.

Nodding sagely he offered a small "Hmph,"]color] as a grin tugged at his lips. "Perhaps you are right. It just seems that the floodgates opened all at once it seems. I'm glad you've found your balance. As much as I embraced the other dude of you I rather enjoy this one as well. It's be a shame should it be whiped away "

She stared at him for a moment, not really sure what he meant with “this side”. And had she really found a balance? Balance between what even? A prude and a bimbo? She softly sighed and shook her head, while she wondered why interactions between people often seemed so difficult.

“Maybe… I don’t know,” she responded, though when she thought about it more, the expression on her face softened and then turned in a more sarcastic grin, “So, I had to find my balance eh?” she wondered, which meant as much as ‘look who’s talking, “I didn’t get undressed first , remember?”

He could pretend he was innocent as much as he wanted, she knew damn well it wasn’t true. She had seen another side of him too. She recalled very well what he had said and done. But they way he acted, made her wonder if he had actually more difficulty with exception his own exuberant side than hers.

“If I remember correctly, and I’m sure I do, you even promised me something back then,” she grinned, and crossed her arms on her chest and waited for a moment before she continued, to make sure that he rem “You shouldn’t make promises you don’t tend to keep…”
