It was a perfect day to be out in the park. The sky was filled with clouds that blocked the sun’s rays, but the air still carried a warm breeze. Leaves rustled in the wind directly above Oji as he sat cross legged at the tree’s base. He held a purple gem up with his hand, staring at it curiously. It was his Gem of Telepathy that he had built not too long ago. When he first activated it, it glowed with a brilliant light, and seemed to keep that light lit instead of it. However, now the gem’s inner fire seemed to be dying out as it glowed very dimly. When he was first read the manual on how to build one, it was mentioned that one gem would only supply a certain amount of energy, though it didn’t mention how much. However, staring at it now, Oji assumed that this would be one of the last times he would get a chance to use it before he would have to either build or purchase a new one. Oji cupped the gem between his two hands as he closed his eyes, feeling himself drifting off into the Astral Plane. Feeling the warmth suddenly disappear around him as a frosty wind crawled at his white gui, Oji opened his eyes to find himself in a frozen wasteland. The windy weather carried a flurry of snowflakes, yet through it he could see ruined military vehicles lying in flames and smoke, as a well as a demolished base not too far from him. In the distance, he could hear a low sounding roar. It was obvious that his subconscious was still focused on his previous mission in the South Pole. Feeling the cold weather digging at his skin, Oji decided to warm up with some quick strikes, awaiting any potential opponent that made a telepathic connection with him. ----- Oji WC: 316/316 |

By the guidance of Elder Murin, Salmar secured himself a gem of telepathy. Although the celestial knew of the gems purpose, he had yet to experience the true potential of the jewel. It was after an evening of training that Salmar decided to first tap into the virtual reality the gem seemed to fabricate. As instructed he closed his eyes and held his hands over the mysterious violet gem. After a few moments of holding this position, Salmar was tempted to open his eyes and call the whole practice a hoax. Suddenly, an overwhelming whooshing sensation overcame the celestial as the room around him fell away to reveal a rugged icy landscape littered with the charred remains of some military-esque base. It was only when a great gust of frigid wind blasted Salmar did the celestial open his eyes. He drew his breath sharply as he rose to his feet and gazed around his new surroundings. It was said that somewhere on this plane of reality there was a challenger awaiting Salmar's arrival. The celestial intended to find this being and try his hand at defeating this challenger. The snow was coming down in large flakes as Salmar curiously trudged forward through the blizzard. The celestial passed a number of abandoned vehicles and similarly forgotten military equipment. "What is this place?" He asked himself quietly as his eyes scanned ahead for any sign of an explanation. It was then Salmar noticed a being garbed in traditional martial artist gear throwing shadow punches with himself. The celestial started forward towards the man. "I have been searching for you!" Salmar called through the snowy downfall to the man. The celestial drew his sword and cast it aside resorting to his much less practiced martial arts. He clenched his fists into tight balls and dropped into a very amateur stance, prepared for the skirmish. -- Post WC: 311 Salmar TWC: 311 |

Oji sharply turned around as he heard a voice call out. He saw a very determined figure walking towards him. “You’ve been looking for me…?” Oji questioned. However, his thoughts were distracted as he took note of the man’s sword, but was surprised when he caste it aside. The stranger then lowered himself into some kind of stance. The Celestial realized that he himself had not carried his own blade into this dimension. Most of the beings he met in the Astral Plane were unarmed, so he often never brought his sword with him. He was impressed by the man’s honor. Obviously he didn’t seem to want to fight using his sword against an unarmed opponent. “Please, do not caste it aside,” Oji stated with a smile. He then closed his eyes as he visualized his sword materializing in front of him. He suddenly felt the weight of the sword in his hand, and opening his eyes he saw his trusty companion sheathed in both hands. With a clean swipe, he unsheathed the Capsule Corp Sword and tossed the scabbard aside. Wielding the blade in his right hand, he placed his left open palm in front of his face as he bowed respectfully. “My name is Oji Waza by the way,” the Celestial stated. He then lowered into his own stance, sliding one foot through the snow in front of him as he raised his weapon wielding hand above him, its tip facing his opponent in a downward angle. “I would love to see your swordsmanship skills, I’m still quite a novice myself. And the great thing about this dimension is, that we can cut into each other without our real life bodies ever getting a scratch,” Oji remarked. ----- Oji WC: 289/605 |

Salmar took note of his opponent's ability to summon his weapon at will. "I should remember that." He thought to himself as he listened to the man introduce himself. At the request of his opponent, Salmar picked his sword up from the ground and bowed at the waist. "I am Salmar." He said briefly as he flourished his weapon in his hands for a moment. "I have not wield a blade in many years, but today I shall try my hand." With that the celestial took the blade in both of his hands and began towards his opponent. Once he was within range, Salmar unleashed a series of quick blade strikes, not necessarily intending to critically strike his opponent, but rather to get a better idea of what sort of swordsman he was dealing with. Salmar then drew back for a moment, impressed with the exchange. "Very good." he said with a nod. The celestial ended brief hiatus with another series of more prodding blows. He aimed a sharp thrust at his opponents midsection followed by a reverse back elbow aimed at his opponent's head. Regardless of the success of his attacks, he took a small step back and raised his weapon ready to riposte his opponent's retaliation if possible. -- Post WC: 308 Salmar TWC: 619 |

Sparks danced about in the frozen tundra as the two swordsmen traded off. Oji’s movement was light and fluid. Every time the two blades collided, Oji allowed his sword to give in to the force of his opponent and used his other free hand as a counter balance. Because of his defensive style, he was also able to simply evade some of the strikes. Yet Oji could tell that his opponent was holding back some. When Salmar eventually leapt back and gave Oji an affirmative nod, the Celestial felt his suspicions were confirmed. The stranger was simply testing his opponent out. Oji returned Salmar’s approving nod before returning to his same stance as before. Salmar rushed in once more, with a midsection strike that Oji was quick to block. What he wasn’t quick enough to, however, was evading the followup strike. The stranger delivered a reverse elbow that cracked across Oji’s skull, causing the young Celestial to stumble back, yet he kept his blade positioned in front of him. Oji shook his pain off as he saw Salmr leap back. The Celestial was quick to counter as he leapt forward swinging a high angled strike to the being’s head. He knew that this strike could be easily evaded, so the Celestial allowed the force of the heavy swing to carry him around in a spin, and lowering his knees down he performed a sweeping strike towards his opponent’s legs. He then leapt up into the air, once more allowing the force to carry him into a spin as he sent one more strike to the temple of his opponent. ----- Oji WC: 269/879 |

Salmar was pleased with his successful exchange but he knew there was no time to think about it. Oji was already rushing straight for the swordsman and he knew he had little time to act. With a quick side step, the vertical strike was easily evaded. Although the first attack was easily dodged, the leg sweep knocked Salmar flat to his back. In this brief moment of vulnerability, another strike was coming from the now airborne opponent. Salmar hurriedly rolled out of the way, narrowly avoiding the surely fatal blow. He bound to his feet quickly as he and his opponent squared off again. Beads of sweat began to form on Salmar's forehead as he carefully maneuvered forward, always keeping his blade steady and before him. "This will be quite the spar, friend Oji." Salmar said with a small smile. "Perhaps one day we may try our steel in the flesh!" The celestial crossed his blade over his chest, an action which symbolizes respect and honor for his opponent. Now with the introductory formalities out of the way, it was now time to continue the spar. The celestial leaped into the air and raised his sword high above his head. With a battle cry, he brought it down in a crushing blow, and as he landed, the swordsman allowed his knees to bear the weight of his falling body. Just like a spring, Salmar bounced up again, this time gracefully flipping over his opponent's head. The cushy snowfall provided a wonderfully soft surface to perform these aerial attacks, but severely hindered moving very quickly from the ground. With this opportunity, Salmar aimed a vicious haymaker toward the kidney of his opponent in an attempt to hinder him with the organ strike. To end the brutal assault Salmar aimed the hilt of his sword into the base of his opponent's neck hoping to further paralyze his adversary. -- WC: 316 TWC: 935 |

Oji returned the respectful gesture as he bowed his head. “Indeed it will be, friend,” Oji stated with a smile. The red haired Celestial extended his blade out as he saw his opponent leapt into the air. The snow terrain made it too difficult for Oji to maneuver safely out of the way, so instead he brought his sword up horizontally, bracing the back end of it with his free hand as Salmar’s blade clashed against it. Sparks flew across the air causing Oji’s eyes to squint. The force of the mighty blow vibrated from Oji’s blade and through his body, promptly stunning him in his stance. The Celestial could only watch as Salmar impressively leapt over him. Turning his head, he saw Salmar wind up a haymaker and the Celestial quickly dropped his weight and lowered his stance. The blow struck across his back, just missing his organs by an inch but still stunning him more to a degree. The next blow landed soundly and sent Oji tumbling over. Oji rolled forward into the snow. Pushing through the pain of the last strikes, Oji leapt back towards Salmar sending a swift horizontal strike to his opponent’s chest. He then allowed his body to be carried by the force of his blow as he spun around and thrust a reverse side kick into the gut of Salmar. ----- Oji WC: 227/1,106 |

Salmar was pleased that his offensive was able to stagger his opponent. The quick recovery was unexpected as Oji lunged towards Salmar. Although Salmar was able to intercept the blow and deflect it although Oji's blade nicked into the celestial's shoulder. Salmar drew his breath sharply as the blade sliced clean thrugh his flesh, spattering the snow with the crimson fluid. Salmar stumbled backwards gripping his wound gingerly. Blood poured over his fingertips as he struggled to staunch the fresh wound. Unforauntely, due to his preoccupation Salmar did not see Oji's back kick aimed for his midsection. With a whoosh the air was purged from his lungs as he was sent head-over-heels backwards. He landed with a thud in the thick snow. The celestial lay still for a moment as he attempted to recover his bearings and worked himself to his knees. Salmar's arm racked with pain as his vision wobbled dangerously. He spit furiously as the pain began to boil over into a seething rage. His eyes locked in on his opponent, further fueling his fiery anger. As he gazed up at his opponent, Salmar noticed he seemed to be mostly recovered from the previous attacks. Just then, Salmar had a crative idea. He took a very deep breath and released a thick billow of flame between the fighters. As the snow was melted, thick clouds of steam began to billow around the sparring area. Salmar took a deep breath as a powerful light blue aura exploded around him. With a quick burst, the celestial cut through the steam with his blade extended like a spear towards Oji's last known location hoping to impale his opponent on his blade. -- 280 WC TWC: 1215 |

Steam shot up all around him from the melted snow. The hot compressed air caused Oji’s eyes to squint from the heat, yet that wouldn’t deter his ability to fight as he heightened his sense ability to keep a read on his opponent. Oji held his blade close to his body, preparing himself for the next step in this tactical trap. Oji felt his opponent’s ki suddenly rise, and the next instant Salmar had burst through the flames with a rush of ki and a thrust straight for Oji. The red headed Celestial had underestimated his opponent’s speed, and Salmars blade was plunged straight through his stomach. The force of the ki rush pushed Oji backwards as the pair slid through the melted snow. Wincing in pain as he gazed down, Oji studied the image of his body being impaled. As he had stated earlier in this bout, the two could freely cut each other down without any real consequences, except for the temporary pain that the mind would convince the body of. He would have perhaps studied this sensation a little more until he suddenly felt something tingle down the back of his neck. Having his sense ability heightened more than before, Oji felt something within his opponent. It was a perculiar feeling about his aura, his presence that Oji had felt in others… Shooting his head up quickly and gazing at Salmar with a curious expression, his lips slowly opened, “…Are you a Celestial?” However, almost immediately after uttering the words, Oji faded away from the plane and his eyes snapped open from his deep meditation. He no longer felt the cold, clawing wind, but instead was bathed in the warm sunlight in the park. He gazed down at the gem, disappointingly finding it to no longer contain its inner glow. “Salmar…I’ll have to remember that name…” Oji muttered to himself as he got up to leave. ----- Oji WC: 319/1,425 |
