“What do you have there?”
“It’s a gem of telepathy. Supposedly, you can use it to do like… mental battles with people far and wide?”
“Huh. That sounds kind of neat. I mean, I assume there’s no way to die in that…”
“I don’t think so. Seems like a pretty safe way of training up your body and skills for future fights.”
“Yeah—why don’t they just mass-produce these things?”
“I dunno—something about their construction, I guess? The process was pretty confusing to me.”
“So… how does it work?”
“Simple, you just kind of… hold it, close your eyes, and imagine fighting somewhere. Usually someone comes along and you fight them. Simple, right?”

At that moment, the massive brute, the Extreme King himself, walked into the barracks, standing right behind the two soldiers as they discussed the odd thing in their hands. Of course, Bassolarr had no idea what it was—in fact, it looked rather tasty to him. “Ha! Someone found some rock candy? Give it here!” the Dinosoid encroached, snatching up the device and tossing it into his mouth. He made a strange scrunchy face as he tried to chew it, his teeth grinding against it for a few minutes before he swallowed the thing whole, sticking out his tongue to get the taste out.

“That… was some terrible rock candy,” Bassolarr said, his soldiers looking at him in absolute HORROR at what might happen. At that moment, the Brute started to sway where he stood, blinking a few times as he suddenly felt very fatigued.

“Did… did you two just…” he started to say until he fell backwards onto the ground, completely passed out.

The two soldiers looked towards each other—and decided to make a break for it, running out of the barracks as quickly as they could before their boss woke up from his dream-fight.

Hayami sat quietly, her mind wrapped in a protective barrier as her instructor had told her. It had promised not to harm Daji, and she had emphasized that if it did, there would be harsh consequences. Her body was relaxed, as she was silently concentrating on her psychic powers within, as she wrangled each piece down under her control. It was a long and slow process, since she had arrived on Kanassa, with all the psychic energy around her. This caused much of her power to actually suppress under the weight of her psychic potential, a low white light glowed around her during this time.

Within an hour, the young Celestial had wrangled a good ten percent of her powers when there was tug at her consciousness- she knew what it was, but in this particular situation, there was no help to stop the tug. Hayami seemed to growl, but stayed upright as her mind was snagged by the Astral Realm.

Hayami landed her her feet, all three tails swayed this way and that as she looked around, her eyes narrowed. So, this was the realm that they'd fight in? Her feet were in a sand-dirt mixture, and she was surrounded by a huge wall, a ring of sorts. Stands, full of those who came to be entertained, jeered and cheered, a loud wash of noise that she blocked out.

Who would be her opponent? The young Celestial waited, as she allowed her power to reach near its full potential in her base form, and blue fire seemed to radiate from her right eye, a pure form of ki.

The monstrous dinosaur-looking alien emerged from the opposite side of the arena, the gate closing behind him as he approached the new arrival. He honestly did not remember being in a place like this, but so far, he absolutely adored what he saw. Thousands of cheering fans, all of them wanting to be entertained in the greatest sport to ever exist—the field of battle! He wasn’t sure if this was a dream or if he was going through some sort of dream-inducing sugar high, but whatever was causing this, he didn’t exactly want it to stop either.

Finally, the Dinosoid looked down towards his opponent as he approached the center of the arena, tilting his head curiously towards the rather cute-looking girl. She was rather adorable, but the way her eye radiated with energy… he could tell, just from the way she was standing, that she was more than just some pretty face. He smirked down at her and nodded his head towards her. “You part of my dream, too? Ha! Well, I’ll fight you all the same,” he said, flexing his powerful arms and chest a little as he dipped into a combative stance. “I’ll make sure not to hit you in the face—you’re too adorable to beat up too badly!” He boasted, his rows of teeth shimmering a little in the lights above them. He would at least give her the first go, if she wanted to—otherwise, he would charge in for the melee!
