It had been some time since he had suffered the horrible defeat at the hands of the creature known as Bebi. He hadn't known the creatures name at the time or what exactly he was bust after his ascension into heaven he had made it his first priority to learn more about the menace so that he would be better equipped for the future when he would be taking his body back, or at least what resembled his body.

It was a strange process but from what he gathered the murderer had created a duplicate of his body and taken it as a host. It was frustrating and infuriating at first, knowing that he was bested by a creature that he should have easily dispatched. Perhaps it was the same pride that he had been wondering about that had gotten in his way.

Whatever the case was the celestial knew that there was still much to do. He had decided to devote his time to things other than working under King Kai this go round but he knew that it didn't mean he should stop training altogether. He was working other angles but for the moment he decided it might be beneficial to seek out new perspective training partners to test his skills with.

So he created a training ground in the astral plain and called out to any would be suitors. The place he had built would at first just appear as an obsidian gridded platform floating amongst an expanse of stars. But, as the other arrived it would change depending upon what the two of them thought was necessary. All he could do then was wait.

Finally the news was spreading about transport ship from and to planet Frieza that would arrive any day now on Yairdrat. Finally she would be able to get of this damned desert planet and start her official carrier within the PTO. But until then she would just have to keep herself busy. Things on Yairdrat seemed to have calmed down again after some minor things she took care of. Now it honestly seemed like there was nothing to do at all, so like most people around the little PTO basecamp Anzu was bored as hell.

The tall alien girl walked around the different hallways along the dorms, shower rooms, cantina and main hall for like the seventh time. Or was it eight already? She hated wasting time, she should have been training instead, but most other aliens around here she considered to weak or to stupid, or likely both, to even try spar with. The inside training facilities were already overfull with other people, mostly just guys who liked to show of their muscular body in front of a mirror, without actually really doing something.

Anzu grumbled something to herself and returned to her sleeping quarter. It seemed like she had few other options left than use her telepathy gem again. Most people got all excited, she on the other hand had only used it once and she hadn’t been all that impressed. Maybe this time would be better. She’d better meet a worthy opponent there, so at least she wouldn’t be wasting even more time.

The blue skinned girl took blood red gem from her pocket and held it between two hands, while she closed her eyes. It didn’t take long before the room and the atmosphere started to change and few seconds later she found herself standing across a red haired guy on an obsidian, floating platform among… the stars? Really?

“How…lovely…” she commented sarcastically, though more to herself than to her new opponent. Well, at least there it was no desert, that alone would have pleased her, if she was every really pleased at all.

She tapped the side of her scouter to get a reading on the red haired stranger, while she continued to look around at her new surroundings. She didn’t bother to greet him or introduce herself to him, all that didn’t matter to her. Instead she pulled the katana from its holder on her back and readied herself, in case that guy decided to get the party started already. At that point her scouter gave a sinlge beep.

Race: Celestial
Name: Unknown
PL: estimated 300K

A rare smile curled on her lips after reading the information on her the little screen. She hadn’t met a Celestial before and he was rather strong. Maybe this wouldn’t be a waste of time after all. Now, considering he was still unknown in the PTO database, she would try to get some information out of him anyway, ”I’m Kioko, and you?”

Azrael had no way of truly telling just what might greet him in the other end of the astral realm. To be honest in his current state he wasn't entirely sure he cared. All he knew was that he was going to need to get back into his training for real if he wanted to ensure that he was never forced to the next dimension again. Besides, he still wasn't sure what kind of repercussions being forced from the mortal realm might have on his existence as a celestial, he worried that it might permanently alter his mind and do irreversible damage.

He wasn't sure why he had that thought but something told him that if he didn't get stronger and make sure he took control of the situation that his guess wasn't far off from the truth. Perhaps it was his drive to train that had brought the woman to him. It was almost immediately obvious that she had a fight on her mind. Initially she muttered something under her breath that he couldn't comprehend but then she drew her sword.

It seemed obvious that she was a member of the PTO by her attire. Admittedly the celestial didn't have much dealing with the organization save a few chance encounters with individuals of little to no renown. But he was at least aware that they weren't particularly well known as being represented by tall beautiful women. He could sense her power level wasn't all that high but that didn't mean he was about to underestimate her.

Despite her demeanor it seemed she wasn't opposed to conversation first. Upon her drawing her sword the world around them began to morph from stars to a rather ancient looking dojo with tatami floors and white walls accented by mahogany supports. Before it fully formed though and she spoke the surroundings seemed to soften slightly.

"Azrael, pleasure to meet you. I wasn't aware that the PTO was prone to hiring attractive women, although I can see the applications of one such as yourself," he offered with a smile.

He didn't take any obvious aggressive actions but he did walk a little closer so they wouldn't be shouting. Just enough that he could still react if need be but not come across as hostile. He would see where this went.

Anzu’s eyes shot to the side for a moment, slightly suspicious when the realm around them started to change from the obsidian platform among the stars to something what looked like an ancient dojo. She still kept a close eye on her opponent as well of course, in case this was just some kind of distraction to catch her off guard. She had heard that it was possible to shape the realm to your own will, but actually she didn’t have all that much experience yet with the gem world. This was only her second time here even, so she wasn’t quite sure about the possibilities in here and that made her slightly more uncomfortable than she liked or was used to.

As changing stopped and the room around them seemed to settle down, she returned her full attention to the red haired man. Even though she had pulled out her sword already, he didn’t seem to initiate an attack. Instead he returned the greeting and made a remark about the ‘applications’ of beautiful women, like herself, within the PTO. In the meantime her scouter was busy recording his name and his voice, as well as his height and posture, for possible identification in the future.

A sarcastic grin curled on her lips after he finished talking, while she looked at her shorter opponent. It didn’t bother her that he called her attractive and was probably flirting with her. She know she was beautiful, it was just a fact actually and men tend to tell her all the time and they always hit on her, so she was used of that. Mostly however they weren’t really worth it, like in this case too, so she just ignored their pathetic efforts. No, it was the ‘applications’ part that somewhat annoyed her. Who the hell did he think he was? And more even, who or what the hell did he think she was?

“My dear boy, I am not a tool nor a toy of the PTO,” she smirked, “Though it isn’t my fault if foolish men, like yourself, get distracted by my appearance and dig their own grave…”

She had enough of this chitchat already, time to get some action in. Seriously, what was wrong with people, did they come here to train or to have a tea party?

Without further notice, the blue skinned alien leaped forward and when close enough, she brought her katana down towards Azraels left arm. Then she spun the weapon around and took over with her left hand to aim her next attack at his right hip, just to switch back to her right hand immediately after.

As his words filled the air and reached the strangers ears Azrael could already sense that some of it had done its intended job and thrown her off. It seemed that he hadn't completely lost his touch in reading others and his original decisions about this one was that she was not the type to take insult lightly. No doubt there had been many a man that had underestimated her and thought her outward appearance was her only asset but he wasn't foolish enough to judge others on appearance, he had learned that long ago. It seemed the same could not be said for his opponent though.

She offered a quip and even went so far as to call him boy. Of course his own existence most likely predated hers by far more than a lifetime. He let the comment merely fall flat though and couldn't help but grin as she continued by speaking about the assumptions made by others and how it was foolish. Without warning though she lunged forward.

The initial strike came but the celestial had read her body well before she even moved and so he merely rolled his shoulder back and stepped away with his left foot to turn his body out of the way. The followup came in from the same side, at least she seemed to know her way around a sword and her movements were fluid, but not fast enough. Stepping back with his right foot be moved just enough that the second slice missed by a fraction of an inch.

His own movements seemed sluggish by comparison, almost lazy. Still his eyes remained locked on the woman before him still smiling. In them she might see Thatcher was enjoying himself, a jovial quality. But at the final moment a flash of intensity as his hand came down and he blocked the blade with a finger as if it were a stick being swung by a child.

"I'm sure there are many fools that allow outward appearance to muddy their perception, but you are just as guilty."

With his final words he brought a right leg up toward the taller fighter's head in a flash and hoped to send her crashing into the far wall. Maybe that would keep her on her toes.
