The serenity and peace of the world that Levana had created for them had not been lost on the celestial. Sure at first he had been more concerned with his own demise and so it had taken a little time for it to truly begin to take hold of him but when it came down to it eventually it started to affect him.

The longer he spoke with his friend, despite the slight tension after their last meeting, the more he began to feel himself relaxing. It seemed that whatever guilt she had tried to make him feel previously was slowly beginning to wash away and they once more began to talk as friends. Some of the tension slowly started to fade away and he could feel the air relaxing as the sounds of nature around them began to fill the void between them.

She teased him about his actions on their last meeting and he smirked slightly at the accusation. "I don't recall hearing you complain about it."

Of course his actions had been a confusing event. He hadn't expected himself to act in such a way and it had led him to question much about himself. But before he could get lost in that track she spoke of his promise and he vaguely remembered saying something in the heat of the moment. "Well, I hate to make a promise and not deliver although I'm not sure how that might end this time."

She was glad to see that he seemed to relax a bit more again. The tension that had been there before slowly faded away as he went along with her little tease and even returned it. Though, maybe now there was room for a different kind of tension again, because of the ‘promise’ she had called upon and what she might be insinuating.

On one hand he continued the tease as he claimed he wanted to keep his word, but there was also a hesitating that made her hesitate as well. There was a doubt in his words, in the tone of his voice and even in his eyes that she had preferred to not see in this particular moment. The feline girl knew what she wanted and didn’t want, but she couldn’t say the same about the Celestial. So, it might just be better to just keep things as they were.

“That’s okay, I was just joking anyway,” she answered with a soft smile, though maybe with a mild sadness in her eyes.

“Let’s not worry to much about it anymore eh, what happened happened,” she added as to try to give it some closure and she hoped he could just accept it as a nice memory, instead of something bad were he felt he had to take the blame for.

He wasn't entirely sure what he meant when he said he didn't know how it would end, which is exactly why he said it. He was being sincere and the concern was not only with himself but with the woman before him too. He wondered what side of her might come out, but mostly he was worried what might take hold in him. There was some part of him that was more mortal than celestial. What was more though was that he could sense deep within himself something much more menacing and primal.

Whatever the case Levana decided it best that they merely move forward and not concern themselves with the past and that was fine by him. So he decided instead to look around and take in the world that had been constructed. "That suits me just fine, although by our surroundings I sense that subconsciously there might still be some lingering thoughts," he said with a wink.

There was no denying that the cabin in the woods made quite the romantic escape for the two of them to share. There was no telling what might happen within its confines.

Slightly surprised by his last remark, she blinked her eyes and looked around at the area she had created for them to meet; a wooden cottage at a lake, with only trees and mountains to surround them. She honestly didn’t really think that much about it, she just wanted a nice, peaceful place and this pretty much put everything together she enjoyed. She hadn’t meant it any other way, right? Or did she, subconsciously like he said? And did he really just wink at her? Right when she tried to ease things between them, he started to flirt again.

“No, I didn’t mean it like that!” she replied maybe a bit too firm; he made it sound like she only called him there to seduce him again. That was not the case, she had just wondered how he had been. But she couldn’t deny that she had thought about what could still happened between the two of them. Not necessarily at that moment though, maybe later, some day… Then again, maybe this was a nice time and place for them.

She kept her same pose as before, with her arms still crossed on her chest, while she looked at him, “Lingering thoughts eh? Maybe… Just thoughts don’t mean that much, unless you decided to put them into actions…” she remarked and smiled softly, “Do you have any lingering thoughts you want to share?”

The celestial laughed at the reaction he managed to get out of his friend with his teasing. Of course he had meant it jokingly but it seemed that he may have struck a nerve. Though, he couldn't exactly be upset by it. After all, wouldn't he want her to at least have some thoughts remaining over what happened after their last encounter. If he didn't wouldn't it almost be insulting that she could just so wasily forget him and move on to bigger and better things.

Perhaps that explained why he had been so bothered by her words last time. She had almost insinuated that he was the sole party pursuing their encounter and hinted almost as if she had merely gone along for the fun of it and then suddenly grown tired of him. He didn;t want to be the one that people didn't remember. He knew that as an angel he needed to be above things but as he had said to himself there were other factors playing into his mindset over what exactly was going on in his brain. He couldn't explain it and as such he could tell that something wasnt right and it was onlt getting worse as time went on. Perhaps it was the immortal soul sent down from heaven inhabiting the brain and making it deteriorate.

No matter what the truth was he knew that he couldn't worry about it at that time as he had a woman with him. He laughed slightly at her repeating him on lingering thoughts and decided to respons. "Don't worry. I'm not going to be raising any issues about it. It's only natural. So far as my own feelings, you were right. I still have a lot of balancing to do in my own head just like you did. I need to figure out what or who I am, although I am supposed to be the one that knows exactly that."

Levana didn’t say anything, she just nodded birelfy, “Hmm,”

His response wasn’t exactly what she expected, or maybe it was, as she should start to know him by now. Though after his remark about the realm she created for them, the ‘lingering thoughts’ and the playful wink, she kind of assumed he might actually put some of those thoughts into actions again. But instead of the passionate and carefree version she saw of him the last time, he just remained this more distant and stoic self as usual.

He seemed to have too many other things on his mind, questioning who and what you are, were pretty big issues. She had the feeling he didn’t want to share much more about it though. Like before, when she asked what he meant with the weird question if she was dead, he would probably just block her off again if she asked more about it.

Whatever lingering thoughts she might still have had before, they seemed to slowly fade away or at least they got locked up inside again. Maybe they missed their chance together last time, when she left him behind. Maybe they were never meant to be, as far as she really believed in faith and all. Was it because he was a Celestial and she wasn’t? She didn’t know.

She suddenly felt tired. Mentally exhausted from the endless circles they seemed to dance around each other, sometimes a bit close together, sometimes further apart. Without any real purpose or goal. Always close, but never really together, like the sun and the moon. She realised that in some strange way she loved him and that she probably always would, deep in her heart. But at the same time that also seemed to be the point were it ended.

“I think everyone has issues with that at some point, probably more than you think, people just don’t talk about their uncertainties…,” she finally replied, while she figured it was time to say goodbye again., “Well, it was nice seeing you again…”

She was ready to leave, when another sudden thought crossed her mind. It was something she had been dwelling on for quite some time, but never got to talk about it with him. It might seem odd that she would suddenly bring it up now, but she for some reason she had the feeling that if she left now, she might not get to see him again or ask for the help, “Oh, I wanted to ask you something, a favour. It’s about my mother and brother.”

The celestial bad spoken the words without really thinking about what kind of repercussions they might have. The truth was that he was so lost in his own mind at most times that he wasn't really even aware of how he felt or thought about many things. There was just too much noise anymore it seemed. Had he known what Levana was thinking in the moment he most likely would have agreed one hundred percent. She was right in thinking they were like the sun and the moon, so close and part of one whole but forever apart.

If he was honest with himself he would know that at one point there had been some clarity but then it disappeared. In that brief time though he was more than certain that he too loved her and yet there was something that seemed to keep them only at arms reached. Maybe she was right, they had merely missed that moment and they were forever doomed to be like ships in the night passing by one another. He didn't need to delve into that thought and tell himself it was out of place, he knew it was the truth and there was no denying it.

It pained him and he could feel his stomach turning into knots as he thought about it and felt the emotions like a beast in its cage. What was wrong with him? Why couldn't he be what she needed? It was so frustrating and seeing it plainly on her face only made it that much harder. When she spoke again she seemed resigned to parting once more and it drew a frown to his face.

He wanted to say so many things, to apologize and yet he couldn't bring himself to say anything at all. He merely frowned and nodded. "You too, take care of yourself. Stay safe."

Just as he was about to turn though she spoke up again. Something about her family. "Oh? What is it?" he asked as he could feel their connection to the astral plane fading. He only hoped he might hear her before it was too late.

Levana hesitate again, how did she have to explain this? The one time did explain, people believed she had bumped her head, literally, or later on that she was suffering from PTSS. Given, it were only humans and she knew Mimi and her father meant well. But neither them nor the doctor they send her to, had believed her weird story. It came to a point that she had started to doubt herself as well and PTSS did sound pretty reasonable considering her past.

She stared at Azrael and locked eyes with him, while she was still searching for the right words. She didn’t want him to think she was crazy too, or laugh at her story. There wasn’t much time left though as she saw how his images started to fade and he was slipping away from her again. She started to feel how she was pulled back to her real life too.

“I need to know if they are really dead… Rhea and Logan…,” was all she managed to say, without further explanation for now.

Suddenly the world that had been built around them began to fade and warp. Part of him regretted that it had to end so shortly. Even in their awkwardness he still enjoyed being around the feline and yet he did an awful, job at letting it be known. Perhaps they were cursed, forever to be divided by an invisible barrier neither could penetrate.

As he words came it was almost as if they were taken in the wash of some great wind or other cacophony. They seemed to trail off and linger like ghosts upon his ears. The first part came easy enough but then true names were little more than distant rattle. Still, he got the gist of it and in all honesty it wasn't the name which was most important but more the intent.

I'm his most sincere face just before he dissipated the celestial shouted back with a nod. "Okay! Ill see what I can learn, I promise!"

And with those words he was sucked from the realm of peace to face the consequences of his demise.
