Jax
The Avatar of War let out a sigh as his mind went back to what it usually did when he had time to himself. A lot of things have happened to him recently that even he didn’t know how to process. Finding out his clone was on the same planet as him and then also learning that another avatar, one that he knew, was allied with the PTO.

That combined with his feelings towards a certain woman, but it wouldn’t be fair to say that he hadn’t felt like that for a while. An idea then rolled into his head as he shifted there on his cot. He would call upon a friend to see if that would get his brain off of things. The only question was… who would he see?

Yan…

Almost instantly, his mind traveled to another realm. His surroundings were blank and void, but he knew that all would change the moment the ginger arrived. Even if he didn’t feel like it at times, the red-haired man’s presence was enough for him.

Yan
Yan was not where he was supposed to be. Though, when was he ever? At this point in time, there were many places he should be, but none of them appealed to him. A decision sat on his plate, and he wanted to avoid it for as long as he could, so he went away, and let time move in a different way. He found his solace in his self made prison, and forgot all the problems of our specific realm. Yan being Yan, found a bundle of new ones fairly quickly, and so it was with a hint of surprise that he noticed the glowing gem of telepathy. Was time ticking by? Had someone noticed his absence? He picked up the little gem and immediately sensed the caller.

”Ah,” he lets out, amused at its coincidence. He picked himself up from his bedmate of the time and made himself comfortable alone. No time would pass for the Zaunite. There’d be no wait, even as the monkey took his time. He sat down once more, fully clothed again and let the gem pull him into a third realm of his devise. The blackness shifted, and first came the sound of the ocean, soft waves fumbling in and pulling back. Next came the cool sand under their feet. Last was Yan, and he stood next to Walid, his hands dug deep into his pockets, and he looked out over the sea.

”If you try to set me on fire, I can jump in the water.”

Jax
…That’s all? Is that all that the pink-haired warrior deserved? He went as far as to call the ginger-haired man a friend, and that was the greeting he got? A part of him wanted to explode with rage, but he felt like that was Yan’s goal from the start. His words were a clear indication for Walid to have come to that conclusion.

“You act like I’ve ever burned you,” he said with a grin.

Still, even if it wasn’t the way he wanted it, he probably would have done the same. Except for him he probably would have mentioned poison instead of fire. He also didn’t like the sand being beneath him, it brought back memories of that night he had with Lua.

“Putting jokes aside,” the Zaunite’s emotional state turned into a serious one, “How have you been lately, haven’t heard much about you lately.”

Yan
“You have burned me!” Yan says in quick turn to his reply, but he also busted into a grin. Before the Zaunite could add anymore he grabbed him around his waist and picked him up in a big bear hug. “I’ve missed your face,” he says happily, which was slightly odd considering they had met in the astral realm shortly before Walid had started his journey to Namek. It wasn’t that long ago. There shouldn’t have been enough time to really miss anybody, but he seemed sincere.

Releasing him, he set his hands on the boy’s shoulders and carefully looked him over. “I am...good question…? Some folks has an adventure in my brain and I’m about to go to prison,” he explains, thoughtful but still containing a certain amusement despite the content of his words. “Again,” he adds, with a small eyebrow wiggle for emphasis.

“I mean last time I went, I ended up having really amazing sex with a succubus and meeting the woman I travel with now, so it could be quite the good thing,” he says, offering a small shrug. “And you? How’s the Saiyan Inferno treating you?” he asks, questioning his relation to Chishan over speaking just about Namek.

Jax
He was glad to know that someone missed him; he wasn’t sure who else would. The hug, however, was something he could have done without. First the Lightning Lord hugged him and then the ginger-haired man? Why did everyone want to get into his personal space like that? Still, it did feel nice to him.

Walid could also have related with the man’s mention of a prison. In fact after they let met in the flesh, he himself was thrown in jail. Before he could say that, Yan brought up something that left the pink-haired warrior speechless.

“S… sex…,” he muttered under his breath.

There wasn’t a need to repeat it, but he wasn’t expecting to hear about the man’s sex life. What would happen next, would the Avatar of War mention his as well? That was something even he wanted to keep quiet about, things were… kind of complicated at the moment for him.

“Pretty good,” he said with a bead of sweating falling from his face, “Though I’ve only see him a few times, everyone seems to be doing their own thing on Namek.”

Yan
Yan raised an eyebrow at Walid’s reaction to his offhand remark about the succubus. Hell, Yan had brought up sex practically every time they’d met thus far, going as far offering to teach him how to use a condom and accusing him of wanting to do it with him. His lips curled up in an amused though unsure smile as he debated letting Walid change the subject. He confirmed what he wanted to know. Yan didn’t really need to know more than that about Namek. It wasn’t his concern after all.

“If sex is your worry, I can probably help,” he says his smile growing into a grin. It faded to a softer smile quite quickly though, and he pulled away, resting his elbow on the man’s shoulder. “I mean, if you need help with anything you should ask,” he says in a less teasing tone, looking to him from the corner of his eyes. “That’s what friends are for, right?”

Jax
If things weren’t awkward before, they certainly was after the man asked about Walid’s worries. His face almost transformed into the same color as Yan’s hair in an instant. It was true that they were friends, but should he say something? Rather than doing what he normally did, which was changing the subject, he decided to talk.

“I wouldn’t exactly say sex,” he responded back, “It’s more like I’ve found someone I like, but don’t know what to do. This is the first time I’ve felt like this around someone.”

There wasn’t really a need for him to hide the person he was referring to and he didn’t know why he did anyways. Maybe it was his mistrusting attitude barking out. The ginger-haired man did after all try to poison him.

”Though,” the Avatar of War added, his voice getting lower as he spoke more to himself than anyone, “Sex would be nice.”

Yan
Walid turned bright red, and Yan kept his gaze on him, just a tiny bit scrutinizing. It was amazing how this wickedly strong warrior of Zaun could get this flustered over something so simple. Then again, as the man explained, it wasn’t really that simple. Love was hardly simple. Maybe it wasn’t that, but even infatuation could be quite complicated. Before he could comment, Walid added the small last line and Yan couldn’t help it, he laughed. It was good natured rather than at him and he quickly recovered with a simple, “Sex is usually nice~”

He covered his mouth, then slid his hand down to rub his chin as he thought about Walid’s predicament. He probably wasn’t one to be talking about these kind of matters. He wasn’t a one person kind of guy after all. He didn’t do relationships. He had been surprised when Walid had even suggested friendship. On the other hand, Yan was old. He watched the worlds turn, and he saw people in many different lights. Even if he couldn’t speak from his own experiences, perhaps he could still help.

“Well, do you think they like you back?” he asks, looking back to him, curious.

Jax
Once again… his personal space was invaded and he wasn’t sure how he should have reacted. He knew that the ginger-haired man meant him no harm; he was simply trying to be his friend. He just wished that there was less touching. Warriors only touched one another when they were locked in combat. Then again, they also never talked about their problems.

“Well,” he said, “Who would like the Omen of Piss?”

While his comment may have sounded like he was down about himself, he meant it more as a joke. Since he figured Yan would be too busy laughing at his comment, he chose to lay down on the sandy beach while he really thought about the man’s question.

“I really don’t know,” he finally found an answer, “I guess that’s something I should know though.”

Yan
As expected, Yan immediately snorted. “I like him,” he says through his laughter. It was true. Even though he was really annoyed at the time, and his patience could easily wear quite thin with him, he did like him. Enough so that he was here now, honestly thinking of how to help the boy and cracking up at his jokes. Maybe friendship wasn’t too far off the mark.

Yan watched as he sat, then looked over the ocean before plopping down besides him, giving him enough space this time. He crossed his legs and waited for a real answer and once it came he smiled again. “Probably. Relationships are between two people, you can’t move forward without the consent of the other person,” he says, firmly believing that. “She may respond positively, she may respond negatively, but you’ll probably feel a bit better either way with the weight off your chest.”

Jax
“Ugh,” he could only think of saying.

That was the obvious thing that he needed to do. Why he was so afraid was the real question? He was a warrior; warriors shouldn’t be scared of something like that. When he thought about himself as a warrior, he suddenly remembered. Fighters always made a stand when things got rough and that’s what he needed to do.

“My problem isn’t really doing it,” he then added as he remembered something else, “It’s a matter of HOW I should. You probably don’t know this, but I lived in the wild for a majority of my youth.”

It didn’t really sound like much of an explanation, but that was the reason for a lot of problems he had when it came to others. He wasn’t surrounded by people; he was helpless when it came to social interactions. While it was true that he was slowly changing, but apparently that wasn’t enough for him.

It also didn’t help him that in the past he just went in without even thinking. That’s not how he wanted to do it, he wasn’t chasing after a girl like he was used to. He was chasing after a woman.

Yan
Yan’s head tilted a little to his shoulder at Walid explained and he mouthed a silent “Oh.” He rested his elbows on his knees and leaned his chin into his hands. “That’s no excuse. I was raised by prostitutes you don’t see...Oh, wait,” he starts, turning his gaze up at the end as he made a small face. He was very much a product of his youth, as much as he hated to admit it. He twisted about to make his own fate but he always seemed pulled down by the same things. He didn’t even talk about his past very much. Even if he did now in a joke, it was the second time he brought up his past to someone of this realm. Things were getting dicey.

“If you’re serious, you gotta be serious about it,” he says to put the conversation back on track. “Be sincere, and clear about it. Don’t play around with words or insinuations. If you get rejected, say something cool like ‘that’s fine, I just wanted you to know’ because that’s the truth. You want to be open and honest with her cause you respect her and shit, and that shouldn’t change no matter what she answers,” he offers before looking back to him. “I don’t really buy into lines or trying to impress someone in the beginning to sway them. If they don’t like you, it won’t last, so you might as well start off as you right?”

Jax
Pr… Prostitution isn’t the same as the wild….

That’s how he felt about it, but after he thought more, he felt like it probably was. The one thing he experienced was being alone. For all he knew, the ginger-haired man was as well. He probably had to fend for himself without anyone caring if he was there or not. After that reveal, the kisses that he was given by the man finally started to make sense.

“Finally,” he blurted out as he listened to the advice.

He was waiting for someone to say something like that, instead of either telling him to study and take notes or to just do it. Yan probably didn’t see it as long winded as the pink-haired warrior did, but that was exactly what he was looking for. The time for games was over.

“Thank you,” he added as he sat up and rested his hand on the man’s shoulder, “I’ve got to say though I’m a little surprised. I was waiting for you to ask who it was or something.”

Yan
Yan smiles easily at the boy’s reaction, just a little bit pleased by it. When the boy continued, he let it grow, closing his eyes to soak in the boy’s warmth. That’s what it was to him. Someone as pure hearted as Walid really didn’t belong next to him, but somehow, he was always attracted to that light, like a moth to a flame. Or maybe he was the flame. He could never tell.

When Walid continued, Yan opened his eyes and scrunched his eyebrows. He had confirmed his connection with Chishan, and hence, Agatha. “Do I know them?” he asks curiously, as that would be the only reason for him to want to know. He still didn’t know a lot about the ragtag group Chishan had pulled together, but it was possible then that he knew the person? Oh god, what if it was Aria? “Oh no, now you have to tell me,” he says, pressing his cheeks together with his hands, wanting to know all the more since it could turn out to be horrifying.

Jax
If it was possible, he would have shoved his entire foot into his mouth. He was hoping to get off Scott free and what’s worse, he even mentioned it. Should he say it or should he be secretive about it? He was told that if the man ever learned about someone hurting him, he’d put their life in danger. Was it safe to reveal the mystery woman to him?

“I mean that depends,” he said as he looked away for a moment, sweating, “But her name is… Agatha.”

He wasn’t quite sure why that was the name he went with, but it was the only other name he could thought of last minute other than the true one. That’s when it finally hit him, what if the ginger-haired man knew of the gypsy. It was obvious he knew about Chishan, but did that mean he knew of her as well? Would all of this come back to bite him on the butt later.

Yan
Yan was still pressing his cheeks together when Walid uttered a name. He was a horrible liar, and Yan was slightly insulted. He wasn’t really sure why he had to lie after all that. Did he definitely know the woman? Honestly, the answer didn’t really matter to him. Even if he had said Aria, he would have just patted him on the back and wished him luck. He knew more than well you couldn’t control who you fell for. Feelings were feelings. He wouldn’t have done anything dreadful with the knowledge, at least he didn’t think he would. He didn’t even think about the threat he had uttered before, but if he had, well, hurting someone Walid cared for, even if they hurt him, would only hurt him worse, so of course he wouldn’t.

But of all the names the guy could have pulled out of his ass, he had to choose that one.

“That’s my ex wife,” he says bluntly.

Jax
There were absolutely no words that he could think of saying. He knew that there might have been a chance the man knew of Agatha, but he never believed in a way such as that. He was kind of hoping that he could have played it off as some random person. There, however, was no chance for that. He also couldn’t help but grow more interested to know the past of the two.

“O…Oh,” he said with a blank expression on his face, “I… Okay I’m sorry I lied to you.”

Sure he could have just gone with it, but he didn’t want that to get leaked back. He also wanted to apologize for using a name that Yan most likely cared about. For added effect he also did one of the things that he told anyone that he’d never do. He got on his knees and bowed at the man, asking for forgiveness.

“But if you’re really curious to know,” he said as he got back up, “Her name is Bulma.”

Yan
The words obviously shocked him and Yan narrowed his eyes just a bit as he waited for a response. He quickly took back his words and a smile returned to the monkey’s face. He was still a little insulted, but quick apologies were usually quite meaningful. If it happened quick, it was either a lie or about something the person had no doubts about being wrong in. In this case, he didn’t think the man would apologize for a lie with a lie. When he went as far as bowing Yan let out a small snicker and shook his head. Before he could say anything, Walid moved to answer the question again, this time without a liar’s nervousness.

“Bulma Briefs?” he asks pretty quickly, tilting his head once more. If it was the famous daughter of Capsule Corporation, than it made sense why Walid would expect him to know her. He turned to look back over the ocean and frowned a bit, thinking on what he knew of the woman. Luckily or not, Yan knew quite a bit about Earth, and with it came at least a good amount of tabloid knowledge about the woman. In fact, he knew slightly more than that even after the assembly incident.

“If that’s the case, then you have some competition in Prince Vegeta, though I suppose he’s a bit...preoccupied these days,” he says, thinking of the beautiful pink demon who called herself only Woman. “The princess of Capsule Corp--that’s what we used to call her when she was young--She’s never stayed in a relationship longer than a year. Gotta be a tough one.”

Jax
So it would appear that the man did know the one he was talking about. Was she that famous and well known, was it even worth trying when he was pretty much a nobody in the world? The ginger-haired man’s next words didn’t help the situation at all. She was with a prince while he was probably more like a commoner. Was he capable of topping someone with that qualification?

“Good thing I’m a warrior,” he said, with determination burning in his eyes, “There’s nothing I won’t let get in my way.”

While that probably would have bothered him a few weeks ago, it didn’t anymore. All the things that he’d endured in life were much worse than that. Why would he let something as silly as that bother him?

“I’ll be the fire that lights up her life,” he finished off his little speech.

Yan
Yan smiles again at the show of confidence, a tiny bit impressed. He would probably be a bit wary hearing that. Well, he wouldn’t be intimidated by Vegeta. That guy was as emotionally connected as a log. Bulma was certainly something, as a lot of people already knew long before Walid, but that didn’t change his feelings. That kind of feeling, it seemed nice, but it was not meant for him.

“Someone like that will definitely appreciate straightforward honesty~” he says simply, coming back to his original advice. “She’s supposed to be really smart, and if you like her, I’m sure she has a good heart,” he adds, looking out to sea again. “I’m sure she will appreciate your feelings at the least.”
