There was a very famous philosopher that narrated and dictated how war was fought. He's been long dead now, as many noteworthy scholars and men of thought eventually do before their genius is recognized. But this particular philosopher was quoted in his famous book, The Art of War, speaking about deception. A brief summary for those that have never taken the time to read it consists of this: every manner of war hinges on the ability to deceive. Every tactic, every coordinated movement, every thought that even involves combat invokes trickery. It wasn't considered a guaranteed victory if one side uses more deception than the other but it helps the chances in their favor. The ability to dupe an enemy provides insight, opportunity and perhaps best of all, an almost understanding of what they think.

How is it, then, that Chishan had come this far without falling into that trap and staying there? He was, for a lack of a better term, an honest good guy with a heart of gold. Most others would prey upon it easily and certainly others had, the Saiyan having been the victim of many trying to take advantage of his compassion. It hardened him for a time but he always seemed to shake off the stone and fall back into his warm, caring self. It truly was foolish; any Saiyan worth his salt would spit and sneer at such a notion as wanting to help others, to train them, to free them from oppression.

But not Chishan. He saw those in need and he was the first to step forward, hand outstretched and willing to help whatever way he could. Maybe he was too trusting. Or maybe he simply waited for those to show their true faces. Whatever strategy he played at, he never voiced it to anyone. Even now as he entered the astral realm, creating training complex made of marble towers and pillars, he would treat this like any other session of training he did with others.

He reached out through the astral realm, trying to summon Jormun to him once more, never knowing the truth.

Frieza was a bit busy at the moment. The process of pushing back a small invasion that had managed to capture the hearts of some of the Namek people, and as a result they were willing to push back harder against the PTO forces. This was one of several reasons why Frieza had to continue telling his troops to stop unnecessarily mistreating inhabitants. Honestly. Sometimes he felt like he was working with cartoon villains.

Regardless. He felt a very familiar ping towards him at a most inopportune moment. Taking a deep breath to 'get into character', he extended himself into the mental realm. Fortunately, in his spare time he had been practicing the figure in a manner that could be projected more securely. This would represent Jormun getting more confident with his astral form, taking the shape of a Serachi-jin more definitively.

So when Jormun appeared in the astral realm he was less like a television channel with bad reception, and more like an actual figure. He looked around and, still showing a bit of naivity had begun his sentence before the connection had been secured, "--if you would ever contact me or if it was okay to contact you or what the deal there was." He looked around, "Oh wow. Did you make this? I know I didn't make this."

Looking at Chishan underneath a heavy cloak he said, "How are you?"

Jormun seemed a lot less flustered this time around. Yet, like a person talking as they pick up a phone, his words were already coming out of his mouth before his body had completely materialized. Chishan missed the first part of his words but was able to put together what had come from it by listening to the rest. A wry smile pulled itself across his face as he looked at the cloaked man once more.

"Hey, I'm not some primped up floozy. I don't require a three day waiting period to be called," He gave the man a hard time, chuckling as his head shook from side to side. "IF you ever want to contact me, feel free to do so. And I'll do the same. That way we don't feel like we're inclined to wait or schedule times to meet. If we're busy, we're busy. Ironically I'll probably be terribly busy in the near future but...that's besides the point."

He glanced around the room. "I did. Once you've spent enough time with the astral realm, you find its a bit like a canvas. If it's not directly created, it sometimes alters the world based on memories or dreams, sometimes even nightmares. I can't tell you the number of times I came here when I was first starting out and there were ruins surrounding me," A sort of sad memory but one he brushed right past. "Anyways, I'm doing well. Admittedly a bit stressed but who isn't in this day and age?" Another short laugh.

"How about yourself? You look a bit more...comfortable here now."

"That's not what I meant!" The young Serachi-jin said with a lighthearted chuckle. "But thanks." He nodded his respect.

"Nightmares too? That sounds frightening..." Jormun responded, listening intently as Chishan described his general wellbeing. "Yeah I understand. I guess being as strong as you are comes with all kinds of hardships, right?" He nodded a gentle nod of appreciation when Chishan asked about his own wellbeing, "I'm good. Can't complain. Mostly I've just been training. There are a lot of secluded islands around Master Roshi's island, it's pretty easy to find a quiet place to train when you're not getting lessons from the man himself." The familiarity that he showed with Roshi's island would have made one wonder if Frieza himself had trained with the old hermit in the past, would it have been known that the person behind the astral shroud was actually the Changeling High Praetor. The devil, as they say, is in the details.

"There's a lot of chances to get training done and kind of work on techniques. I've been working on some techniques too. Could you give me some pointers, maybe?" He assumed a fighting stance that, compared to the one before, was just a little more refined. It definitely showed some small amount of growth. Once Chishan gave his confirmed consent (because mutual consent is important, boys and girls), Jormun kicked off the ground and rushed at the Lightning Lord, his power level measuring now around twenty-thousand.

His first attempted attack was a kick much like the punch he'd delivered in their first bout, filled with ki. The kick was aimed straight for the side of Chishan's jaw, with the Serachi-jin's cloak flowing along with it to create cover for his next attack. As he flipped forward to recover from his kick, when both of his feet were pointed at the Lightning Lord, he fired off a beam from his feet, propelling him away from his opponent while (ideally) smashing into the Saiyan Overlord with the white burst of ki.

Jormun landed hard on the ground, managing a tumble-flip as a recovery move so that he could face his foe, "So what are you working on, if you don't mind me asking? If it's like, top secret stuff you don't have to share, but I'm admittedly curious as to what a powerhouse like you does for a living."

Hardships? That was one word for it.

Chishan smiled evenly as Jormun informed him about his life, or at least the recent events going on with it. He chuckled as the Serachi-jin talked about getting 'lessons' from the Turtle Hermit. "Well I imagine the only real training you're getting from his teachings is how to fly better and to haggle over nude magazine prices," He said with a cheeky grin. He knew Roshi well enough to know his training methods, though he was admittedly more hands-on with the female students.

A single brow rose as Jormun said he had been working on techniques and was interested in getting some pointers. He nodded softly. "Sure. I'm always down to offer a little guidance when asked," He gave the man another grin before he fell into his own fighting stance, with his hands up and his knees bent. He took note that the Serachi-jin already looked more definitive in his stance, with near-perfect conditioning for his pose and grip. But that didn't take away from his focus on the man's hooded face, staring hard into the shadow of the cowl. Perhaps there would be a time when he'd catch a glimpse of the man's features, after some time spent together.

Jormun took the first strike once more, acting without hesitation to rush forward and send a kick towards the Saiyan Inferno's face. But he was in perfect placement to not only defend himself but quickly and efficiently counter it. Chishan's left arm snapped up and knocked the kick to the side at the same time as his right hand shot forward in a hard front punch, aimed for the cloaked man's stomach. Jormun had already planned the next time, one that was quite creative. His feet came together and unleashed a blast from his feet, using the expulsion to send himself away while also simultaneously attacking the Saiyan. The blast hit him right in the chest, knocking him back several steps.

"Well that was imaginative," He said as he looked down at the blast mark on his chest, still hissing from the burn. He glanced back up at Jormun as he questioned what he was working on outside of the realm. "Couple things. Luckily I've gotten a bit of a break from official Saiyan Empire work so I've got that going for me," He said, not really expressing what he was working on but not intentionally. Without waiting another second, he pushed himself off the ground and launched himself at the Serachi-jin. Once within proximity, a series of punches came rushing forward towards the man's head, three hard strikes that were finalized with a sidekick for the stomach.

"Otherwise, nothing to be concerned about," He said easily.

The attack hit! Jormun found himself elated that the attack had managed to connect, but still listened intently as Chishan talked about himself. Within the world of the real, Frieza twitched. But externally, Jormun almost dropped his stance as he nodded at the information.

And that's when Chishan attacked. Not because the Saiyan was any kind of rude or cruel, but because that's how battles tended to go. Even light sparring matches. Of course, Jormun was not quite that skilled, and was rewarded with it by being punched in the head several times.

When the side kick came his hands shot out and caught it just before it hit him. He looked up at Chishan, likely with more surprise than the Saiyan himself had. It was here now that Chishan would catch a glimpse of what was visible of his face underneath the cloak. Much like a practitioner of the hidden arts, his head was almost completely wrapped up, lower face and forehead covered by a blueish-purple the same shade as a starless night sky.

The only part of skin capable of being seen was around his eyes. His flesh was roughly flesh colored, a bit more apricot than a normal human or Saiyan, and his foxlike eyes were pupil-less with red irises, extremely reminiscent of a certain Changeling, should Chishan have ever been close enough to see Frieza's eyes. However, it was notable that Serachi-jin did extremely rarely have eyes like this.

Regardless, an instant's glance was all Chishan managed to get as Jormun dropped his leg and jumped back. "Whoa," He said, "Did you see that? I totally caught that!" There was a second of 'dead air', while he put together exactly what had happened then said, "Ah crap I should have probably counter attacked or something, huh?"
