It has been 6 long years since the dreadful night that changed the life of Genos, a young human boy only 15 at the time, who has had to exchange his life filled of family, dreams, happiness, aspirations, and friends for a life of solitude and vengence. Located in a small cave within the side of a very tall mountain towards its peak, Genos has made this place a temporary home as he personally embarks on the quest of finding the scientist responsible for that one devastating incident. The night, when everything changed. It was the recurring thoughts dwelling on this matter that caused Genos to be up so late in the night, clenching his fists in anger. *Tsch!* "Six long years and NOTHING! What a waste......." the android ended with a fiery passion while looking at his robotic hands. Genos' mechanical body was modeled after a human in their twenties, his facial appearance the only thing seemingly maintaining his past human features, although even that had mechanical implementations to a certain degree. Placing his arms back at his side Genos calmed himself as he looked towards the entrance of the cave and began staring at the falling rain clashing with the ledge just outside. "I wonder if i'll ever see that man again..... Doctor F. He did so much for me, and didn't even ask for anything in return......." he said mumbling to himself in seclusion, pausing ever so often as his emotions bounced up and down. Dr. F was the first man Genos saw as he opened his eyes back into the world of the living all those years ago after the incident that lead to the young boys rebirth. A time Genos could remember like yesterday. For it was at that moment he realized the life he once knew was no more. -----Flashback from six years ago--------- "Boy...........boy............wake up boy." The voice seemed vague and drowned out to the conscious wavering Genos who only saw flashes of light upon waking up. Slowly coming to his senses a high feeling of fear suddenly surged through Genos' body as he began to violently shake on the lab bed he realized he was strapped down too. "W-What is THIS!? *Arghhhh* Where am I? *pant, pant, crying* W-Who are you?" Genos felt afraid and confused as he laid gasping for air during his panicked state while looking at the mysterious man in the room. Due to the extremely bright lab light shining down upon the face of Genos he could barely make out what seemed to be an elderly man with a long white beard that stretched over his chest like a blanket of fresh snow. He was quite tall and erect for a man his age, and although he had a long beard he was bald on top with red eyes that seemed to glow from the shadows he hid in. "So you've finally awoken boy. Can you tell me what your name is?" The man's tone was quite deep, young, and full of energy when he spoke and it seemed so unbefitting of his looks. Genos responded with a confused look on his face as he thought hard on what his very own name was but with no success he remained dumbfounded. With so many things going on at once it was only then that he noticed the entire feeling of his body had changed. He could no longer feel that warm inner heat every human produces, because it was now replaced with a very cold, icey feeling. "So you don't even remember your own name? Hmph, does Genos ring a bell?" The young android's eyes opened wide as the name rang bells in his head bringing back so many memories of his past from beginning to end. "Yes, my name is Genos........ Genos, my mom, my dad.................they're dead." he ended sobbing. It only took a while before his sobbing turned to a raging anger as the images of death and destruction ran through his mind. "It was that damn ANDROOOOOID!!" Genos stressed as he rampaged in the lab chair he was bound to like a beast tied down and provoked. "Calm down boy, that android is long gone by now and even if you did find him you would be no match at your current level." the elderly man said walking over to the lab bench before undoing Genos' restraints. "You haven't even noticed have you? Or maybe you are just too distraught to care? How do you like the feel of your new body Genos?" Now free from bodage Genos could now fully move his body and actually see what was going on with himself, and leaning up on the lab bench he did just that. His arms, torso, legs, inner organs and all were turned into a high tech machinery. "I-Is this m-metal?" "Why yes, yes it is! You see, after that android attacked and destroyed your village I came across its aftermath only to find you in a critical state. Most of your body was severely injured and unable to be saved so I had to.....hahhehe, make adjustments. What started as a mission to save a young boy may have just turned out to be my best creation yet. The weak human you once was is now dead. Just a piece of data to some mad scientist who created the thing in the first place. Genos, as an android you can achieve much more for this world using the most up to date technology on earth placed within you." *Tsch!* "So I-Im now an android!?" Genos yelled interupting the man who seemed to take great pride in his lively creation. "Yes Genos, you are an android, but don't look at it in a negative way my boy. Look at it as a......... ----------- "........new chance at life." Genos ended the words to his memory as if the doctor was there himself, but he was still alone in his cave of solitude, trying to think about his next step. (WC= 1,001/1,001) |

-----Flashback from three years ago--------- Location: Just outside the Secret base of Dr. F Hours after noon time the sun was making its way towards the opposite end of the sky ready to set on the day's end over the secret base of Dr. F. The base was located in the center of a large circular rock plateau surrounded by a vast, lush forest that stretched for miles from its base. Genos was just outside the forest practicing throwing punches and kicks at a tree that shook dropping a few leaves with every strike, although the tree's bark remained minorly damaged showing that the android still had a long ways to go. "Ha, ha, ha, ha, HA!" Genos screamt extra loud as he threw a right hook which also happened to be his last strike, but like every strike before it did little to nothing leaving him a little angered. "Tsch! What's it gonna take to knock you DOWN!" Genos' anger stemmed for his quest for vengeance and a hunger for power in order to complete his quest, though he was not convinced that he could truly complete such a task if he couldn't even break this one tree. All the while his second father, Dr. F the scientist that made him, krept up to a location high behind Genos perched on the top of the plateau. "You've been out here since morning everyday for the past two weeks and you still throw your punches like a novice, hahehe. If you want I can even instal a martial arts sensei avatar in your head so you can be correctly guided even through meditation if you think that will help your cause." "Dammit Doc, I already told you that I don't want you to ever put your hands inside me again.....i'm no toy for your customization." "Hmm, hahahaha!" The elderly looking scientist began to laugh uncontrollably at Genos' remark even rolling back and forth on his back while holding his aching stomach from the irregular breaths of air. After some time of laughing Dr. F then jumped down a long distance to the base of the plateau landing crouched down on his feet without a problem which was unnatural for not just a man his age, but a regular human overall. Turning towards his father from a position looking over his shoulder Genos revealed the confusion in his heart through the sorrow on his face. "Doc..... I don't know if i'll be able to do it. I don't if I can beat h- " "Shush boy! A man unable to believe in himself is only a boy looking for approval. When you came back to light and regained yourself after some weeks, you then came to me Genos and showed your passion for completing this quest. As your father I want nothing but the best for you, but you have to want it for yourself first." Dr. F moved closer to Genos who held his head low with his eyes pinned to the ground placing his hand on his shoulder. "No one's forcing you to do this Genos. You don't have to follow through. I understand." Quickly raising his head in response Genos stared into the eyes of Dr. F rekindled with his fiery passion for success while shrugging his hand off of his shoulder. "What the HELL are you telling me Doc!? How can I just forget all about my friends, family, and town, and just move on in life like their lives didn't matter? How can I live pushing their murders aside!? Listen good Doc, I will dismantle that android even if it's the last thing I do, and his creator!? I'll even go as far as to break him into a million pieces just for creating that piece of shit!" ".................. Good Genos. Then don't forget. Don't ever move on. Live, grow, and strive for everything you've ever longed for. All I can do for you now is just wait and be ready when that time comes......" The serious Dr. F then broke a smile before turning away from Genos as he made his way back to base only to stop a few feet away. "Genos, i've taught you all I know in the field of science, and as far as martial arts goes, I'm no sensei...... In other words there is really no more use for me when it comes to completing your quest, though, as my son you are welcome to stay as long as you'd like...." Dr. F paused in his speech to look over his shoulder revealing a piece of his face turned serious once again. "......... but once you leave this area, you must never return." Shaken with a puzzled look on his face Genos' eyes widened at Dr. F as he walked away slowly, each step echoing off in his head as if they were amplified by the moment. -----Present Day--------- Genos flew through the air towards North City with the gleaming rays of the bright sun peaked above. For as long as Genos has been living out of his cave just outside of North City he has never experienced a day as dread as this, leaving the him irritable as flashes of his past keep resurfacing in his mind. What does it all mean!? he wondered while gritting his teeth like a vexed dog. Causes unknown, Genos began to wonder if his pursuit of the new lead for finding the evil android was the reason for his distress, but paying the thought little mind he continued on now entering the air space above the City. His destination? The Prison of the North's compound. Person of interest? The evil scientist responsible for creating the weather machine that nearly wiped out the city a little over a month ago. The scientist that goes by the name of, Drake Pnu. Upon being captured by Genos Pnu cracked and revealed that the idea of the weather machine was not his own leaving Genos to the conclusion that the scientist that did make that machine should be his next target, and so he went.
