Continuation from... “HEEELIOS!!” a growling yell came from across the forest. An explosion quickly followed as the teddy bear masked samurai powered through the sky. He sharply scanned and dove down straight towards his opponent. “YOU KILLED FATHER!!” “Uh oh, mi amigo, it sounds like you’re in deep do-do,” the kidnapped and now second time rescuer of the red android obviously stated. “Yeah, no kidding, he’s going to kill both of us for that,” he replied as he stood up and powered up internally. “W-wait! Us?!” As he finished his surprised response, the assassin was mere feet in front of them. Trees were torn apart that mistakenly happened to be in his path of rage. Helios was still not powerful enough to defeat the now overwrought maniac. Hopefully the mystery cigar smoker would prove useful at this junction, but split seconds would determine what he was made out of. The first movement of the exchange was a hard right hand punch to Rune as Mariachi ducked. The sheer strength that emptied through the knuckles of the man was intense. It impacted with a sonic boom soundwave. The men at the epicenter of the attack flew what seemed like in slow motion as the forest rippled from the strike. Helios’ body crushed several trees as he made his way across the dense arena. Quick whipping motions of the assassin’s hands from opposing sides down to his hips unleashed the equally sized swords. A mad dash was soon followed as he covered the new distance. Rune was still mid-air a few feet off of the forest floor. Dirt, dust and debris could be seen from afar above the treetops as his body shook, raddled and rolled to a stop. “Oh my. Today was definitely a bad day to leave the ship,” he groaned as he began to stand up. In a blink of an eye the distraught fighter was now mid strike upon Helios. A quick response to activate his barrier came in handy, at least ideally it would have. The twin blades came crashing through the barrier as they sliced at the shoulder joints. The cuts were deep and clean, and not the only ones. To accompany them were numerous strikes at all angles towards the torso of the now indirect killer of the teddy bear assassin’s father. Helios fired both of his bionic punisher eye beams just to have the explosion peel away more of his own armor and exoskeleton. Selene was not in the mood and at the moment impossible to defeat. He slowed his movements just to stomp on the down man’s face with his right wooden samurai shoe. Both wrists turned inward to have thumbs facing down as he stabbed the corners of Helios’ chest. An acrobatic front flip and slingshot of the red comical hero took the fighter to another dynamic. The strength of the fighter, the strength of both blades and the agility was paramount. He could not be stopped as there was no word from the previously kidnapped, or the robotic dog assistance in the stratosphere. Defeat was closer than Rune had wanted despite knowing he was not match. This time death was right behind that defeat and the human emotional rollercoaster of guilt, regrets, happy moments were not relived. No flashbacks to childhood memories and good times were played in these quick seconds. The hyped up android continued on as he took a dual sword fighting stance and leapt forward. As he did he felt a slight tug and immobilization of his trail leg. The thin line that snared his leg gave off some energy that stunned his body. The culprit was a straining cigar smoking, large hat, large mustache wearing man whose name had yet to be revealed. “I can’t let you do that, my friend. That man there saved my life and I’m returning the favor for a second time. If anyone kills him, it would have to be me, first,” he smirked as he broke the battle’s route. He continued to struggle to hold on as the machine rotated back around and cut the line. The sudden loss of tension slung the human back and onto his backside. Just as he began to recover the black kimono figure was above him. Scared for his life and too weak and slow to react he gave in. He closed his eyes tight only to wait for his death. He continued to wait. A slow peel away of his right eye lid revealed a new surrounding area. A metal, silver room was the new place. Lights, computer screens, and a semi-created robotic dog was right in front of him. It all gave him a scare as he jumped back on the ground in the same position he was a second ago. “Wh-where am I, perro?” “You’re in my ship,” a familiar yet distorted voice came from his feet. He glanced down to see Helios broken up with a hand grasped around his ankle. “Heh, we almost died.” “H-how did we get here?” “Transmission. Instant transmission. Something I picked up a while I was on another planet,” his voice steadily decreased in clarity. “I found your power signature and brought you back to my ship in Earth’s atmosphere.” “Earth’s what?! No way, brother!” “Heh, yes way. But enough talking. Gir, please patch me up.” Later. The command center of El Sun Chariot was buzzing and beeping away as Helios and Gir were wired into the ship’s computer system. The red android seemed to still have minor hook ups to the base of his head to over drive his circuitry. An undetected power surge suddenly hit his central system. He barely flinched as his shoulders moved slightly forward and back to his original position. Research and ways to increase his output threshold was all that was on his mind. How could his body withstand more than it has in the past? Was he stuck at a constant level? The two previous battles on his mind against this seemingly unstoppable android fueled what fighting spirit rested inside of him. His swordsmanship was no match in their first battle in the forest and the two part temple ass whooping proved that he yet again was not strong enough. A bark escaped the metal jowls of his companion. He glanced over to view something spectacular, something magnificent, something… empowering. “Good boy, Gir, good boy,” he spoke as his eyes narrowed. “Sooo… can you take me back down to Earth now? I mean don’t get me wrong, I appreciate you keeping my life safe, but it’s not my type of atmosphere so high above the planet,” the jittery cowboy swordsman interrupted the serious concentration of Helios. His eyes widened then slowly narrowed again in a side eye while his head turned to peer over his left shoulder. “Could you NOT creep up on me like that?! I was over here in the zone.” “Uh, uhh, please excuse my interruption. If I knew how to get out of here, I would have,” the man nicknamed Mariachi replied in a sincere manner. Rune sighed as he realized he was unfair to the man who saved his life twice. “I’m sorry, Bob, you know it’s been a long day and I have been ripped apart twice by that teddy bear head freak-a-zoid. You saved me and for that I owe you a huge debt. Unfortunately I do not have anything to give you so how about a hug?” The man spoke softly as he repeated ‘Bob’. That was not his name and it was out of nowhere to have been concluded that that was his name. Either way he shrugged and leaned forward, “I suppose, why not?” Just as they embraced each other a double click occurred as the Mariachi pulled his six shooter barrel up underneath the chin of the android. “Uh, Bobby… what do you think you’re doing?” “Well my friend, I figure since you can teleport where ever you’d like, I can take this ship off of your hands. You see I can sell this ship for say, a few million zeni down there on Earth. It has to be more advanced than Capsule Corp. these days since it is obviously not from around here.” “Oooh, Bobbles, you have double crossed me after saving my life.” “Let’s just say this will be payment for your life. Times two,” he finished with a wink. Helios sighed as the barrel of the weapon dug a little deeper into his chin, “Touche… but first!” The two disappeared from their position. The wires that were connected floated in midair. A split moment in time passed as the hostage came back into the same seat. The wires hit the chair back and bounced onto the ground. He had snow on his head, shoulders and feet in addition to a smoking dent underneath his chin. “Just when you think you know somebody.” As he ended his sentence the bullet came off of his chin and hit the flooring. Back on Earth at the temple. The samurai had already built a proper burial for the elderly man he called Father. He was confused and emotionless at the moment. He must have been told what to do his whole existence. A path was not taken for his own as he knelt on the ground in front of the lump of dirt. He moved his hands from his knee up to his upper thigh and drew his sword to attack his rear. “Woah, woah, you could put someone’s eye out with that thing, Ralphy.” The assassin paused and recognized who was talking to him. This would have never happened any other time. A swift strike and death would have overcome anyone else who came close or uttered an inappropriate comment. Helios had both hands raised near his face with his palms towards the fighter. “I come in peace. I wanted to apologize for accidentally killing your father, I really--“ Conversation ended as the swordsman jabbed at Helios’ face. A swift evasion by the once too slow opponent saved his skin. This time it was on. The second strike came from the warrior’s second sword he drew during the first strike. A wave of arms fluttered in front of his face as the accidental murderer heel stepped away. He caught an uneven piece of surface and slipped towards his back. Acrobatically he spun to his left and unveiled his own sword. Three swords made contact with each other as Helios’ right elbow broke his fall. The downward force was too much as he swept at his opponents’ ankles. The escape artist gathered some distance as he stayed low. His other hand quickly pulled his other sword out as he kept his eyes focused on the bear. His eyes began a glow from white to red. His internal power grew exponentially as he leapt forward. He kept his arms close and tight with his frame. The dual swordsmen clashed and silence ruled the area. Minor sounds of their feet scraped and tapped the ground. The speed, power and ferocity of androids cut the wind into tiny sonic booms. The true art of swordsmanship showed between them. This was no action movie. Their swords did not clang and create sparks, nor did they have face to face teeth grinding moments. Precise strokes were executed and avoided in the most efficient way possible. Continued exchanges exerted their knowledge of the sword, for now they were equals in power, skill and technique. The two settled down for a brief moment. Helios returned his swords to their homes on his back. “Ya know Selene, I’ve been thinking. If you really are my brother with a female name, wouldn’t you want to come together and become a family?” “AAGGHHH!!” “I guess not,” Helios geared back up for battle as the assassin charged him. Far away, somewhere in Yunzabit Heights. Not one, not two, but three sneezes exploded out of the gunmans’ nose. Trails of footsteps were behind the traveler. His mustache began to harden with frost; his sombrero was weighed down with snow. A strong wind crossed over the top of the nearest mountain and stopped the man solid in his tracks. He got into a quarter-squat position and to keep his ground. He mumbled under his breath as he quickly snapped a hand atop of his head to hold his hat down. “Helios Ryuad Rune Sirat,” he murmured with a smirk. “You got me this time, amigo but next time you’ll be,” he tried to finish as he let out an unexpected sneeze that practically blew his ear drums out.
