These last few months had been enlightening to say the least. Not only had Daji undergone the process of learning how to use his mind to commune with others--particularly his beloved friend, Hayami, whom he had expressed the desire to marry, since he felt so connected to her, feeling these weird emotions called 'love'--but he had also untaken a rather strict training regimen under the martial arts Master known as Master Roshi, the Turtle Hermit. The days had been hard, amongst a few things that had arisen to occupy their time, but they also seemed to go by so quickly that it was something of a surprise to the young fox. As he stripped out of his school uniform--a necessity when attending 'classes' so that he could learn to read and write--he noticed his physique was far more defined than when he had first awoken in those snow-covered woods where he had first met Hayami. She had saved him then, taken him under her wing despite her mother's protests. He felt... surprisingly good about himself, learning how to defend himself with these 'martial' arts, but he wasn't sure what was so 'artsy' about them, really. Wasn't art stuff that was painted or sculpted? He wasn't quite sure--there was a lot he wasn't sure about.

However, what he was sure about was making the most of the downtime he had. He made it a point to completely undress, folding his school uniform neatly and laying it on top of a towel so Hayami wouldn't be disappointed he had gotten grass all over the uniform. His diamond-like eyes looked out over the clear surface of the lake before him, the small ripples of slipperies and other creatures within enticing him to swim and cool down during the hot summer day. His twin tails lazily whisped to and fro behind him as he looked down at the water, a beaming smile upon his face as he looked up and down the lake--and then around the lake's shores to make sure no one was around. Hayami had insisted he wear clothes when people were around, and as restrictive as they were, he had complied. Since no one was here, he felt safe to undress and enjoy the water on his skin--he felt far more comfortable without clothing anyway, and that would let him really glide through the water to catch the critters inside the lake for something fresh to eat. He had made it a point to keep the both of them fed with fresh fish every day, and the thought reminded him to scoop out some water with a bucket he had brought with him, so the fist could breath inside the pail while he hunted for them. With that done, he nodded at the lake before leaping up above the water, spinning a few times playfully in the wind before diving down into the water, his body working on guiding him through the lake while his lungs held onto his breath. His training with Muten Roshi had really improved his reflexes and his ability to hold his breath, so it seemed like a double-benefit in terms of catching slipperies.

Down within the water, he looked around, his eyes blinking as the fish scampered away from the impact of his body against the waves. He would give it a few moments for them to calm down, adapting to his scent, before he would start to procure some of them for the evening meal, so in the meantime, he made it a point to guide himself down to the bottom, suppressing his spirit energy in order to lull the critters into a false sense of security--some animals could sense Ki, Roshi had said--so he made sure to practice the function just in case while he swam across the bottom of the lake, his eyes taking in the sights of so many slipperies flailing to and fro through the water. It was a rather liberating and enjoying experience for him that he practically missed the other spirit energies approaching the lake as well, the boy far too preoccupied with his task of swimming and catching the creatures that lived in the depths...

Earth. How many months had it been?

Too many to count and unfortunately that time apart had not taken away the bitterness from the last memories here. Sure, there were plenty of times here that had been pleasant, or even downright invigorating, but the pain that had come from the last few weeks spent here had been damn near unbearable. Going to Namek was bringing them to a war but it was also supposed to be an escape of sorts.

In truth, it had only piled onto the mess Chishan had accumulated in that time. Which in its own way was a bit sad, given that he had come to a life changing conclusion while there. Overall, the 'war' on Namek had been fairly controlled once they had gotten there, only escalating dramatically with the appearance of Lord Frieza and the sudden invasion by the rogue Saiyans. Other than that, the scraps they got into with the rogue PTO members had been quick and almost unremarkably short. And everything had rolled along quickly after that, leading them to a uneasy but stable peace between the Namekians and the PTO.

Of course, that meant that the Guardian's time on Namek was over and it was time to head home. But before they went, the Lightning Lord had still one more task to complete. And much to his delight, it went off without a single hitch. Before the Night Fury had even plugged in Earth as its coordinates, Agatha and Chishan were engaged to one another. It had come as no surprise to the crew, each one of them more excited than the next. Agatha had become a huge part of all their lives, a constant presence that they not only enjoyed but had swiftly grown to care for. Her acceptance of Chishan's proposal had been cause for celebration and a party was hastily put together, led by the extremely enthusiastic Monica. It was a good thing that the Fury had its autopilot repaired because within hours, every member of the crew was filled with liquor from top to toe.

Save for a messy cleanup and perhaps some drunken mistakes, the Night Fury arrived back on Earth without incident. It was easiest to bring the ship back to the Saiyan garrison on Earth for the repairs. The Saiyan Inferno had half-a-mind to bring the ship to Capsule Corp to get the maintenance his ship sorely needed. But it was made known to him rather quickly by the Saiyan Empire that only Empire-approved engineers and slaves were allowed anywhere near the Fury. Chishan forgot every now and then just how experimental his vessel was and how many secret additions had been included during its construction. It didn't help that he'd already let Bulma into the bowels of the ship to poke around but that was neither here or there.

If there was one person that Chishan wanted to show Agatha off to, it was definitely Master Roshi. The old lecherous bastard had yet to meet the gypsy and for the life of him, the Lightning Lord wasn't sure why it had taken so long. Based on the hermit's habits and penchant for looking at half-clothed women in magazines, Agatha seemed to be the best kind of person to just stun the martial artist into a stupor. He wasn't always for pranking other people...

But Master Roshi? He'd go to all lengths to drive that man up a wall.

At the same time, he did want Roshi to meet Agatha for the more sentimental reason of meeting his fiancé. Despite the rather sharp-tongued relationship, there was a level of respect and friendship between the two that had survived years of enduring one another's quirks, especially when living together. It wasn't so much that the Turtle Hermit was like a surrogate father as he was a...grumpy, horny uncle?

Why was he introducing Agatha to him again?

Whatever the case, he'd told her ahead of time how Roshi was. That obviously wasn't going to deter her -- nothing ever did -- and instead he turned into the skid. He told her how there was plenty of water around the island that they could go swimming so she should bring a bathing suit. Okay, he had suggested her skimpiest bikini -- torturing Roshi was still present on his mind.

Unfortunately, they had picked the time to visit when Roshi had gone down for his afternoon nap. His students were quite insistent that he couldn't be awakened until one of his other students returned. When the name 'Daji' was dropped, Chishan's brow furrowed in curiosity. Could it be the same Daji that he had met before they left for Namek? The one that his niece Hayami had taken over care for? Last he knew, the boy was intending to follow Hayami and Hikari to Kanassa...

As his senses stretched out across the vast ocean, they clamored over each island in hopes of finding the familiar energy. It was a bit surprising how far out Daji actually was when he picked up the acquainted energy level. So rather than sit around and wait, he quickly transmitted the pair of them to the very edge of the lake.

Chishan's eyes snapped down from the rolling hillside to the lake, taking in the undulating waves. Down below the surface, he could sense the boy though he could not see him. "Apparently taking a mid-afternoon swim," he commented with a grin.

Coming home had certainly been much more bittersweet this time around. In all honesty, Agatha wasn't entirely certain she was ready to be back on Earth where so many terrible things had happened not long ago. The first thing she had done was go to visit the graves of her mother and Zaine by herself. She would come back again with her father and Chishan, but she had wanted a moment alone. The gypsy wasn't certain how she would be upon seeing their graves again, nor how her father and Chishan would be, and she wanted to be strong for them if they needed her -- something she couldn't do if she was falling apart herself. So she visited them first on her own while Chishan was getting the repairs set up for the Night Fury with the Saiyan Embassy.
<P>
It was difficult being at the grave sites again, but she came with wonderful news. Agatha had hand crafted a bouquet for both her mother and her lost son, placing each just so against the markers. Then, she knelt gently in the soft grass between them and spoke to them both about the events on Namek and Chishan's proposal; even proudly informing her mother that the Saiyan had used Sorcha's ring, a gift passed on by Micheil as a sign of his blessing. They couldn't hear her, of course. Then again, maybe they could hear her from Heaven. Agatha had never been to the Next Dimension, so she didn't know who had the ability to spy on the mortal affairs and who didn't. Either way, it helped her feel better.
<P>
She'd just finished touching base with Cam to see how record sales were going, and to see what progress had been made on her new perfume line. Her agent had much to show her. Everything had been set up and good to go, and he even had a few sampler bottles with designs for her to pick from. Agatha tested the scent and it was perfect; everything she'd hoped it would be. She selected several designs for different sized bottles, and signed all the necessary paperwork to confirm where the money from the sales would go, which was primarily split between a charity for supporting grieving parents who lost their children, and a scholarship for students who were being held back from schooling because of poverty.
<P>
After all of that had been finished, she finally met back up with Chishan, who informed her that he wanted to take her to meet master Roshi before they went up to Kami's. In truth, Agatha had at least one more errand she needed to take care of before they hid away in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, but she had not spoken to Chishan about it yet. She needed to speak with Apio about something very important regarding the cult. Granted she needed to speak with the younger Saiyan about a couple of things, mostly the fact that he had been acting very reserved and standoffish the last few weeks... but as Agatha was wont to do, she had only gone out of her way to communicate that she knew something was bothering him and that she would be there if he ever wanted to discuss it.
<P>
Outside of that, she treated him exactly the same as she always had, without giving him any knowing glances or trying to pry. He was her friend, her future brother-in-law, and she knew that he would come to someone when he was ready. And that had been great, at least up until she and Chishan got engaged. Up until then, it seemed like the only people Apio was willing to be at least halfway social with was her and Monica, and though he had expressed his gladness for the couple, she had noticed that he had become a bit colder to her since then. It had been enough to confirm that whatever his problem was, it had something to do with Chishan. The Lightning Lord had confessed to her his concern that Apio had been distancing himself from him since Namek. She was heavily concerned for him, but... well, he would come forward when he was ready. So she continued to treat him exactly as she always had, even though he had changed the way he acted toward her.
<P>
She and Chishan arrived on Roshi's island, and as requested Agatha had donned the skimpiest bathing suit she owned, which was covered only by a very sheer top for the moment. Roshi's lecherous mannerisms were well known by her and many others. Moira had plenty of stories of times where the old man had even tried hitting on the android, which was quite fun to the former assassin-droid. She greatly enjoyed trying to puzzle out organic mannerisms. Sadly, the infamous master was sound asleep in a midafternoon nap when they arrived, and it was apparently bad to wake him -- even with scantily clad tits. Thus, they contented themselves to taking a swim while they waited.
<P>
Of course, the location of that swim was changed after they found out that Daji was in the area. Agatha had interacted with Hayami several times, to the point where the young fox demon affectionately referred to Agatha as her aunt. The gypsy had only heard about Daji through Chishan, but it was a curious situation. And somewhat adorable, if she was being honest. It was young love, by the sounds of it the first taste for both parties. So when they learned that the boy was there studying with Roshi, they knew they had no choice but to meet him. Chishan sought out his signature and popped them over to a lake shore, where Daji was swimming in the calm waters by himself.
<P>
She grinned a bit at Chishan's private comment. "So it would seem. Let's go see what our niece is so twitterpated about, shall we?" A small, playful smirk was cast toward her fiance, before she stepped up to the shoreline closest to where the young man was swimming. "Hello there, Daji!" she called out to him with a wave and a friendly smile, waiting until she was sure she had his attention before speaking again. "My name is Agatha, and this is Chishan. We came to visit Master Roshi and heard you were nearby, so we thought we would come introduce ourselves. Mind if we join you for a swim?" Knowing Hayami, the girl had probably already told Daji about her 'aunt' and 'uncle' enough that he would recognize their names and who they were. Still, it would be fun to see how he reacted to them just showing up out of the blue to see him.

Emotions were stupid.
<P>
That was the conclusion that Moira had reached since Namek. Something had changed in the young android, something she didn't understand and didn't know how to handle or fix. When they'd arrived on the planet she'd still been her naturally boisterous and happy self, eager to see and learn and experience. When they left, she was quiet and kept mostly to herself -- despite the fact that everyone else finally seemed to have been coming around to her after what had happened with Rubic. Moira had risked sacrificing herself for Agatha's safety, and it had not gone unnoticed. Chishan, Monica, Apio... they had all begun to actually treat her like she was more than just a potentially explosive burr in their clothing. Like she was... a friend? Maybe?
<P>
Agatha said that Moira's actions had earned everyone else's respect. It gave them a reason to trust her after everything that had happened when they'd all met on Mortoseth, enough that the first thing Chishan had done while helping Agatha repair the android was remove the electromagnetic pulse module they had installed in her as a fail safe; the very same EMP she had used to take out both herself and Rubic. Though much to their interest, Moira had requested they not completely take away the device. Clearly, it had come in handy while fighting against a stronger android. Instead, at her desire, they installed a new one inside of her hammer -- so she would have the ability to use it remotely against an enemy if she needed to. Agatha had been very proud of Moira, to the point where she had shed tears of gratitude while holding the robot in the tightest hug she could possibly muster. It had been... moving. It truly had, which was saying a lot for a synthetic that was still new to emotions.
<P>
But it had been numbed. She couldn't get the situation out of her mind. Moira was angry. Everyone had believed her -- hell, she'd had the proof of what had happened, the truth of Jeremy and how Rubic had attacked her and put Agatha at risk. Chishan even went so far as to punish Rubic by installing a new EMP inside of Rubic's chassis while repairing him during the RBC unit's hibernation. Just like they had with Moira, it would not be a device that Rubic could have removed by anyone except Chishan or Agatha -- and both, along with Monica and Apio, had remote access to be able to set it off in an emergency. They had not given Moira that ability, though Agatha had explained to her that the only reason was because they could tell that Moira was still upset with Rubic and they wanted to wait until she had worked through her emotions before giving that kind of power to her. She understood, from a logical standpoint.
<P>
Because the truth was, she was still quite pissed at the RBC unit. He was a liar and a hypocrite, a danger to people who considered him a friend, and he'd put the only person Moira cared about -- the only person who cared about her up until recently -- in grave danger. Agatha and the others might have been all about forgiveness... but that was a concept that Moira was still struggling with, despite being the recipient of it herself. In truth, she still didn't understand why Chishan and Agatha and the others had forgiven her for her own deeds. The concept was just as alien being in their own shoes, as the party that was wronged. Frankly, she wasn't willing. Rubic was nothing but a danger now, and it frustrated her to no end that they still chose to try and work with him after what Rubic had done, EMP or no.
<P>
So once they'd arrived back on Earth, Moira had taken some time to herself to reflect. She explained to Agatha that she wanted some alone time to think, and of course Agatha had respected and encouraged it, advising her that she would be there if she was needed. Thus, Moira had gone to a remote mountaintop where she knew she could only be found by someone that was going out of their way to find her -- something she certainly wasn't expecting to happen. She sat in thoughtful silence at the edge of a cliff side, the vast view before her overlooking the ruins of Central City -- which was still practically in the beginning stages of repairs after everything that had happened during the meeting between the Saiyan prince and the Earth council. Her mind churned heavily as she gazed out at the wreckage with a stoic expression that betrayed she wasn't even truly looking at the ruins because she was too caught up in her thoughts. What was she to do? How would she handle all of this?
<P>
Only time would tell...

Right before the two visitors shouted to the boy, the young fox's head popped out of the water like a swift trout, a flopping fish in his teeth. He seemed remarkably pleased with himself, catching the slippery thing and spitting it out onto his hand, which then tossed the aquatic critter into the bucket near the both of them, at least three fish swimming within the bucket's depths in circular motions, as if they were unused to the tight confines they now found themselves in. He seemed poised to dive again for another one when Agatha's call came, disrupting the boy's concentration and causing him to flounder for a moment before he regained his aquatic balance.

Diamond-like eyes blinked rapidly at the two visitors, only now feeling their spirit energies nearby. They had been standing relatively close to his bucket and clothes as well, making him second-guess why he had not noticed them to begin with, but the friendly smiles and familiar faces (well, for Uncle, anyway) were enough to disarm any alarm he might have had, causing the boy to wave to the both of them excitedly.

"Hullo, Uncle Chishan and Auntie Agatha!" He replied aloud, his ears perking up and pointed in their direction in order to hear them properly over the splashing waves. Sound had a habit of distorting over water, but with his hearing, he could make them out without a problem. "Please, come swim, but don't disturb the slipperies!" He said, stilling his arm and looking back down into the water, his nudity practically forgotten. He started to swim a bit closer to them, pointing towards an area of the water that had far fewer fish around, motioning for them to enter the water as well--but the way he was looking at Agatha gave the impression that he was still somewhat leery around Agatha, like a dog that wasn't quite sure what to make of her.

Still, Hayami's opinion carried a lot of weight with him, and if Chishan was with her, that meant she was rather safe, right? He had to assume so, and even as he treaded in the lake, he managed a somewhat respectful bow of his head to Chishan. "U--Uncle, Me and Hayami didn't expect you back from your trip so soon. Did you just arrive?" He asked, his speech a bit more practiced and refined from when last they met--coupled with the folded school uniform near Chishan's feet, it was obvious that Hayami had insisted that the boy receive some level of education. However, his sight was quickly distracted by Agatha's shapely form, one of his eyebrows arcing up as he looked shamelessly upon her chest, as if seeing something quite foreign to him. He swam a bit closer to her, his nose sniffing at her subtly for a short moment before he tilted his head to the side, still staring upon her scantily-clad torso.

"A--Auntie Agatha! Your chest is swollen--did you get hurt there?" He asked, not quite reaching out to feel them, but his nose sniffed at her breasts in order to see if he could smell any infection or sickness, but he detected none--if anything, he got a noseful of that strong aroma of hers, like wildflowers and salty air. He looked between Agatha and Chishan for a moment, as if expecting an answer from one of them as to why Agatha's chest looked so odd--perhaps she was covering an injury with those odd bits of string and cloth? He wasn't quite sure, honestly.

MINIMUM SUSTAINABLE REPAIRS COMPLETE.
TESTING BATTERY POWER...
TESTING...
BATTERY POWER AT SUFFICIENT OPERATING LEVELS. COMBAT OPERATIONS REGULATED.
NO THREAT IMMEDIATELY DETECTED. BEGINNING FULL DIAGNOSTIC AND BOOT-UP SEQUENCE.

It took a few, long moments for the gears and turbines to begin moving within the metallic body of the android, lights and whines coming to life across his person as various systems, thousands upon thousands of subroutines, and various other delegated tasks were brought to motion. Sensors began probing the environment, painting a digital picture of unseen variables for the robotic warrior to sift through and analyze, his lifeless, grey eyes--devoid of spirit or mirth--finally opened, taking in the sight without hesitation. Pupils dialated instantly, adjusting to the light levels of the room he found himself in, microscopic samples of the metal and air around him indicating that he was on a space vessel, but judging from the lack of lateral motion or control, it was likely stationed upon a planet. Gravity was consistent with a planet as well as the droid started to raise his torso, servos and motors whining with the resistance that was soon apparent.

The droid looked down upon his body, noticing the significant leather and mechanical restraining harnesses upon his body--likely restrained for repair and transportation purposes. Even now, diagnostic systems were reporting back with various damage reports across all systems, some more effected than others, though the most interesting aspect of his apparent incarceration would have been the presence of a foreign object inside his chassis--one that his systems could not detach at present due to not automatic release or override. Diagnostics also revealed a wireless receiver, determining the device capable of receiving a signal, albeit the rest of the construction of the device did not seem conducive to complex orders or actions. The batteries of the device were also afixed in an inefficient pattern, and further inspection revealed that they were dangerously connected to several diodes--essentially, a makeshift explosive device of some sort. The device was not particularly destructive, but estimates reported that several thousand severts of electricity would emanate from the device, his systems concluding that it was a man-installed EMP device, likely for security purposes.

ACCESS ALL AVAILABLE MEMORY LEADING UP TO DEACTIVATION...
...
>>> ACCESSING MEMORY CORE...
>>> ERROR. NO RECORD FOUND.

The droid's eyes moved as if trying to focus on something a thousand miles away, drawing the last visages of memory he could recall. The last words he remembered were Chishan's, specifically concerning tracking down the hostage--Agatha--with the PTO-created android, Moira. Something about the recording was faulty, however, as the recording failed halfway through the sentence, just as Chishan turned away from the pair. Then nothing--there were no records, no explanation for his damages, no explanation for the device now installed within his body. Preliminary damage assessments determined that a foreign, external charge had been executed, causing incredibly electrical damage to nearly all active circuits--essentially, what he was running on now was from his own self-repair systems and that of a foreign pair of hands. There were very few left alive that knew the inner workings of the RBC series of androids--fewer that could understand their workings and improvise--and even fewer that would be familiar or capable with the new technology that had created him. Pan's ship, Ianto, had seen to significant upgrades--the likes of which had not been invented in this world yet.

Seemed a shame that they were so heavily damaged now--it almost felt like a gift squandered--almost. The droid was incapable of remorse or regret--he simply accepted the situation and attempted to find a solution.

At first, synthetic muscles protested at the action of dislodging the restraints across his body, necessitating using lower-powered weaponry to do so, the android focusing his optical sensors towards the weak point in the rigging and activated--

WARNING: POWER FAILURE--ATTEMPTING TO REROUTE.
...
WARNING: CIRCUITRY FAILURE. OPTICAL WEAPONRY OFFLINE.
WARNING: SERVO AND HYDRAULICS FAILURE--CIRCUITRY FAILURE. POWER INSUFFICIENT.

The droid once again focused his eyes on something far away, accessing another portion of his own systems, subroutines lazily--or woundedly--executing their protocols as if labored and strained. The damage to his systems must have been significant--much of the infrastructure was damaged almost beyond repair, and what could be repaired estimated a work time of at least one-Earth-month left to go. Finally, he found another pathway for the power he needed, tapping into what little reserves he had and pushing the necessary feedback through ancillary circuitry--circuitry that was never meant or designed for the amount of power he was pushing through, but soon enough, metal groaned and leather snapped until he was free from his bonds, standing on his legs beside the restraining table that had made him its prisoner.

SCANNING...
SCANNING...

MINIMAL CREW ABOARD. NO SIGNAL FOUND FOR MATCHING POWER LEVELS FOR UNITS CHISHAN, AGATHA, WALID, OR BULMA.
ENERGY SOURCE CONFIRMED--UNIT MOIRA LOCATED--TRANSLATING COORDINATES...
INTERFACING WITH GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEMS...
ERROR: PRIMARY UPLINK DAMAGED. RESORTING TO SECONDARY UPLINK...
SECONDARY UPLINK CONFIRMED. LOSS OF QUALITY--65 PERCENT.

The resolution was not ideal, nor was it perfectly useable, but it managed to suffice in terms of locating Moira's signature and, therefore, her physical presence. Whether or not her consciousness was separated from its body, Rubic was not sure, but he made it point to traverse through the ship as expediently as possible. Two steps from where he stood, and his systems immediately identified the ship was the Night Fury, though the ship's significant firewalls and protection were able to guard against the android's idle musings and requests for information--all he got from the ship was its name and identification and little else. One would say the ship itself was either hostile or shy, though Rubic was far from the kind of individual to identify which.

Once out in the open air, the droid tested his personal flight systems, deactivating the security override program he had used just to get one of the exit doors open--the Night Fury was a surprisingly stubborn ship--noting that his flight capabilities were limited, but successful. His speed was no where near what he would have preferred, and fine motion and control was basically a bitter memory, but he could at least cross the distance without an issue. He took flight, zeroing in on Moira's location and pressing forward, his flight systems sputtering here and there as if they had seen far, far better days--whatever had happened, it had done so much damage that he was practically crippled. A warmachine that could not make war was, frankly, unacceptable.

Soon enough, the war droid approached Moira, landing unceremoniously behind her by roughly eight meters. "Unit Moira," Rubic began, forgetting or uncaring about anything remotely akin to pleasantries, "this unit is suffering from a memory fault--this unit requires information concerning this unit's operations after leaving Blue Village on Namek," Rubic explained, already making the determination that he was on Earth now roughly the same moment he had determined the ship he had awoken on. That being said, since they were already back on Earth, it was likely that a lot had transpired while he was deactivated--events that he would need to know of if he were to proceed with previous mission objectives.

Daji was a special case. When Hikari and Hayami had given him a short explanation about the boy, he had been rather surprised they'd taken to him. Both were trained and deadly forces, that were forged to fight rather than converse. The steps that Hayami had taken in trying to break out of that pattern had been astounding, with the Lightning Lord only needing to offer minimal guidance before the young celestial took it to heart. Hikari had been a bit harder to get to but based on the last time they spoke, the woman seemed rather intent on following a similar path as her daughter. It had been with a heavy heart that he had watched them leave but he had faith in them both...

That didn't make their taking and apparent training of Daji any less strange. What was even more curious was about the fox had come back here without his honorable niece and...well, whatever Hikari was. Honorable half-sister didn't seem quite right, stranger even that through this odd connection Chaos was...complicated. Nonetheless, Daji was still someone Chishan had spent very little time with and honestly wasn't sure how he felt about. There was a definite innocence about the boy; anyone that talked or looked at him could see that. And it wasn't that he mistrusted Daji...

It was just that something felt off about him.

He couldn't place it but there was an energy that seemed to permeate off him. It felt unnatural for someone so young, someone so arguably pure. Like a bird that had been dipped in oil was the fox, coated in something unnatural to his existence. The Saiyan didn't possess the ability to place what it was but it did feel familiar. He just couldn't figure out exactly where from. Keeping a steady and trained eye on the fox seemed to be the best option but frankly, he didn't have the time nor did he feel it was appropriate. Roshi had been training Daji it seemed and the Lightning Lord knew the hermit would be able to pick up on anything wicked. Time would only tell it seemed.

Twitterpatted. There was no lack of humor in Chishan's grin as he turned his head slightly to look at his fiancé. She bounded up to the shore and caught the fox's attention by calling out and waving. Daji seemed to balk for a moment, clearly prepared to dive but forced to pause by the gypsy's introduction. He encouraged them to join him in his afternoon swim in response to Agatha’s question, though he stressed that they shouldn’t disturb what he called the ‘slipperies’. The Lightning Lord watched as Daji paddled a bit closer and directed them to a spot that was less occupied by fish. While his education had certainly grown since the last time they saw one another, it seemed there were still a few holes. But the missing clarification between ‘fish’ and ‘slipperies’ was not exactly a prime concern and so Chishan opted to just go with it.

Peeling off his shirt without a second thought, the Lightning Lord was left in his bathing suit – something he did so rarely don. The few times he had used it had been on Roshi’s island but frankly, he found it easier to just swim in nothing or whatever he had already been training in. Honestly he couldn’t remember the last time he had used the water for relaxation rather than cleaning or sport. So this was going to be quite the treat, his grin showing how excited he was as he stepped to the very edge of the water. He bent his knee slightly, enough that when he straightened them out, he was flipping into the air with practiced ease. He looked much like an Olympian diver as he twirled in the air, even managing to leap to the same height as a diving board before he came back down. But with all that power came a soft blow; his body stabbing into the water with barely a splash or noise whatsoever. It was a moment before he surfaced once more, shaking his head aggressively to each side and spraying water all around him.

Apparently Daji had taken to Hayami’s verbatim, calling Chishan ‘uncle’ and Agatha ‘auntie’. What normally would be odd didn’t strike the Saiyan as strange at all. Given that Daji had been educated almost completely by Hayami, it was no surprise he had mirrored her words and titles for people as well. He smiled at the fox as his arms stretched out, rotating in circles so he could tread water. “I wouldn’t say just arrived, no. Maybe a day or so. Our trip was…fortunately brought to a rather quick and decisive end.” He said simply, not feeling a need to explain much further than that. Leaving the fact that their mission had been stated as a ‘trip’ was fine with him.

He looked away for a moment, taking in the sights around them. Namek was beautiful, of that there was no doubt. But frankly he had a special place in his heart for Earth. Something about the multitudes of color and life just drew him to him, connected him with it. It wasn’t harsh or unforgiving or plain like other worlds. Still relishing in the environment, his eyes trailed back to the other two to take in quite the strange sight. Daji had swam a bit closer to Agatha, his face contorted in both confusion and curiosity as he stared unabashedly at her chest. He sniffed interestingly before he attempted to puzzle out the sights before him, claiming her cleavage was nothing more than some engorged injury that had swollen. He asked her if she was hurt and it was then that the Saiyan lost it, his laughter breaking out loud. It echoed across the water for a moment as he flopped backwards in the water, disappearing below the surface for a moment. When he reemerged, he was still chuckling through the water that had gotten in his mouth.

“All that time spent with Hikari and never once questioned her chest, Daji?” He asked with a wide grin, shaking his head. “Though I guess she probably didn’t strip down into practically nothing, did she?” She didn’t have any problem with showing off her assets to Chishan before but then again, they had been in a different place. Either way, the Lightning Lord glanced at Agatha as he kept on smiling. “All yours, babe. I’ll let you handle that bit of information.”

No. Fuck no.

There was only one way out of the Night Fury. Well, that wasn’t quite true. There were several ways to get off the ship if need be. Emergency hatches, escape pods and other exits that were designated for dire situations only. The only acceptable way to walk off the vessel was through the back bay, where the ramp could unfold out for whoever needed to leave. And even then, the Fury was very good about identifying who it was that was trying to board or escape. They’d had far too many uninvited guests in recent months for Chishan to not have prepared for something like this.

So when the systems alerted the bridge that someone had hacked through the security protocols and opened one of the escape hatches, it took very little time for Monica Belle to bring up the video feed. And judging by the sneering scowl she gave at the sight of the RBC unit pushing himself out into the open air, she was less than pleased. Unfortunately for the poor robastard, Chishan had planned for this particular scenario too.

It wasn’t that the Lightning Lord mistrusted Rubic at the moment. It was close but it wasn’t quite a lack of trust. Rubic the android, while possessing quirks and character flaws, was still one of his friends and someone he owed his life to. Rubic may not have liked or trusted Moira but he had looked past his discrimination at Chishan’s insistence. He was hardheaded but he was not incapable of diplomacy. All of this the Saiyan knew and allowed a bit of wiggle room. It’s probably why he had sent Rubic and Moira off together to help Agatha rather than thinking the worst. And that was saying a lot, considering the RBC unit had just rammed his ship into a Saiyan warship and nearly obliterated Namek all in one go. Rubic was impulsive but he was trying to do the right thing.

Jeremy, on the other hand, had never been anything but a problem. Ever since the moment Chishan and Jeremy had met, standing across from one another in the rainy streets of Central City, there was an issue. The boy was the embodiment of rage and hatred, his fury against fate and nature aimed towards anyone that got in his way. Clearly something had triggered the boy’s reappearance, causing him to emerge and attack Moira unapologetically. Chishan had honestly believed that the former handicapped child had disappeared into the void of Rubic’s programming. He had clearly been wrong…and that was something he wasn’t going to make a mistake about again.

Rubic may have greeted Moira unceremoniously, as was his nature, but it was the sudden and loud screech of Monica appearing between the two droids that could very well be considered more rude. Already her firearm was held in her hand, gripped tight as the air ripped and tore at her body and clothes from her hasty movement. But she stood firm, glaring hard at the RBC unit as she placed herself between Chishan’s friend…and the former cult android that had earned a place in Monica’s trust.

“Listen, you gender-confused compass, you better march your rusted ass back to the Fury and wait for Chishan to give you the proper spanking you deserve. Don’t, and I’ll get the enjoyment of breaking you down into a glorified vibrator. Ags’ birthday is in a few months and I’m sure she could use a new toy.” True to her nature, the former assassin spat venom at the RBC unit without pause or care. Chishan may have handled this situation with a bit more etiquette but Monica’s displeasure at Rubic – or Jeremy’s – actions on Namek were more than evident.

As she suspected, Daji recognized them and even went so far as to refer to them both by Hayami's honorary titles of auntie and uncle. He waved them to come join, with the request that they be careful not to disturb the fish -- or "slipperies" as he called them, which Agatha found downright adorable. It didn't take much more than that before Chishan stripped off his shirt and bounded into the area of water that Daji had pointed out as being relatively fish free. The gypsy grinned all the while, stripping off her own top until she was clothed in nothing but the rather skimpy bikini that her fiance had requested she wear for Master Roshi. Once she was ready, Agatha made her way toward the water and walked calmly inside until she was up to her shoulders, and then dipped her head under for a moment to submerge completely.
<p>
When she came back up, she brushed the water and hair off of her face and swam over toward Chishan with a smile. Daji asked about their trip, which the Saiyan answered rathered vaguely. The events of Namek were ones that were not necessarily good for a child to hear, and the couple was doing their best to keep their mind off of things for the time being, so she wasn't surprised that he didn't go into much detail with the little fox demon. And that's exactly what he was, wasn't he? Though not entirely. Agatha was quiet for a moment, but only because she was taking time to sense the boy out.
<p>
He felt exactly like Yan, interestingly enough. It was quite surprising, though she kept any such expressions from her face. She could sense a demonic energy in him, but she could also sense a divine one. It wasn't as strong as Whis, the god that had felt almost fully divine and demonic... but there were certainly powerful traces of both heritage there, just like with her wily redheaded friend. How interesting.
<p>
It was captivating enough that Agatha hadn't even noticed Daji had been staring at her chest for some time now. As such she only blinked in neutral shock as the boy rather forwardly asked why her chest was swollen and if she'd gotten hurt. Chishan's reaction was to almost immediately bust up laughing, carrying the sound with him all the way under the water and back up again before leaving the conversation to her. By this time, Agatha was grinning. "Thanks, babe. I appreciate that." She teased Chishan a bit before turning back to Daji. It seemed a little education was in order, and she was fine with that.
<p>
"No, I'm not hurt, sweetie. Those are my breasts. Women have these, though they vary in size." She was honestly a bit surprised he had never seen breasts before, even clothed. Chishan had already pointed out that Daji should have at least noticed Hikari's, but who knew what the other woman had been wearing around the boy. She might have been dressed somewhat modestly around him. Agatha tilted her head in curiosity. "Have you not spent much time around women?" she asked him. It was weird that he and Hayami were essentially crushing on each other, but the young boy clearly had no idea what a woman was actually meant to look like. Did that lack of knowledge extend to other important places of biology as well? Hayami was equally as uneducated, which Agatha already knew. That could spell trouble for the both of them someday if things happened that they didn't understand.
<p>
God forbid Hayami get pregnant before either of them knew what sex was mean to do.

Her radars informed her that two people were approaching her location, one closer than the other. It was possible the latter was in pursuit, even. They were too far away for her to see with her eyes for the moment, but it didn't take long for her computer systems to inform her that one was Rubic and the other was Monica... and Rubic would reach her first.
<p>
Moira's blue eyes locked onto the direction they were coming from until she could see specks forming in the horizon. She stood slowly to her feet, her gaze never leaving Rubic as he approached and began to take form and shape before her. With the flick of her wrist, a credit card sized chip popped out of her body and instantly unfolded and expanded into her gargantuan hammer. She snatched the giant item by its handle as it fell back down toward her, the head of it slamming hard enough into the ground that it sank a few inches in and left a few small cracks and crevasses in the rocks at her feet.
<p>
She made no move to attack as Rubic touched down before her. In fact, if the RBC unit would notice anything about her stance it would be that it was more of defense than anything else, like she had armed herself only because she expected him to attack her. She certainly seemed poised for it, even as he addressed her and advised that he had no recollection of what happened on Namek and needed her help filling in the blanks. Moira laughed lightly. It was a bitter sound, devoid of any actual humor. "You don't remember anything? How convenient for you."
<p>
As she rounded off her statement, Monica landed with a screeching halt between them, gun at the ready to blow Rubic's head off at the first sign of movement the former assassin didn't like. Monica's words were enough to bring a slightly more genuine smirk to Moira's face, but it was still lost in the rage and resentment she was currently feeling toward the other android. "Didn't you hear, Monica?" she asked the human, her eyes still glued to the RBC unit like he was going to spring an attack at first opportunity. "Rubic doesn't remember what happened on Namek. Or am I calling you Jeremy today?"
<p>
The last question was obvious aimed at Rubic, and the venom and sass with which she said the name Jeremy made it rather obvious that the name was not a compliment of any sort. She stared at him hard for a moment. "You require some information? How about we start with the part where you fucking attacked me after Chishan sent us to go protect Agatha? Where you turned into some sociopathic fuckwit that thought it was more important to destroy me for no reason than to complete our mission and save her? Ringing any bells, asshole?"

Daji's ears perked up a little towards Chishan as he seemed overcome with laughter, diving backwards into the water for a short moment before emerging again, still chuckling from the humor of something Daji must have said--he wasn't sure why it was funny, but he couldn't help but let a pleased grin cross his face, even as he let Agatha handle whatever needed to be said. It was always so pleasing to make people feel good, especially those he cared about--especially Hayami--so he regarded the whole thing as a pleasant outcome. Perhaps he should ask people about their chests more often? If that was something considered humorous, maybe he could remark about it again to Hayami.

Soon enough, Agatha began to explain why her chest was so large, explaining them as 'breasts' and that they varied in size. Hayami's weren't that size--in fact, she dressed in a way that he had never noticed if she had any before, really, and she had always insisted they dress in separate rooms and take turns bathing. He hadn't really considered the 'why' of course, though Hayami had told him that she had her reasons. Hikari had always been dressed in odd ways, with different, elegant robes and outfits, and plus she had always rather intimidated him--he hadn't really noticed why or if her 'breasts' were big or not. His head tilted to the side as she explained, once again looking down upon her chest with renewed curiosity--and absolutely no shame whatsoever.

"I spend a lot of time with Hayami and Hikari, yes," he said, scratching the back of his neck as he tried to think of times that he might have noticed their 'breasts'. "But Hayami and Hikari always told me to dress separately from Hayami, and we take turns bathing rather than cleaning each other at the same time. Other than that... no, I don't think I've spent time with women other than Hayami and Hikari--there are a few class mates that are women, but I haven't really spoken to them yet," he explained, looking up to Agatha's eyes this time--Hayami always said it was polite to look someone in the eye--as he laid out the relationship as it had been thus so far. His eyes suddenly lit up with renewed realization and his ears perked up as tall as they could, as if he had suddenly been struck by lightning.

"Do you think Hayami will show me her breasts when we get married?" He asked, his interest suddenly renewed by the whole idea. Perhaps she had been waiting to be married to him before showing them to him? Was there something about breasts that was important in a relationship? He didn't really understand the whole concept, really. "Why do women have them and boys don't?" he asked, his interest in the subject suddenly quite focused with his desire to know more about the whole thing. Since Chishan left the explaining to Agatha, the young fox gave her his undivided attention on the matter, even as he kept treading water beside her.

=========================

Monica's arrival had been unexpected, but once Rubic had realized she was following him, he had dismissed her presence at the moment, focusing on his task of putting the pieces of his memory banks back together and finding out what had occurred on Namek and why they had retreated back to Earth. As such, when Monica landed between them, he hardly paid her any attention until she produced a pistol, declaring that she was going to return with her back to the ship and await Chishan for a proper punishment of some kind. Apparently, some catastrophic event had occurred.

"Unit Monica," Rubic started, his soulless, humorless eyes regarding her despite the conversation he was having with Moira. "A weapon of that caliber is insufficient to penetrate this unit's chassis--a larger weapon or a more powerful energy blast would be sufficient in actually damaging this unit," he said at first before his gaze shifted back to Moira. "This unit would not call this unit's memory loss as convenient--that would imply the loss of memory was somehow beneficial to this unit. This unit must collect information on the situation on Namek before this unit will return to the ship--every detail may be important on this unit's assigned tasks."

At that moment, Moira referred to Rubic as 'Jeremy', which caused the unit to pause for a moment and stare off into the distance, attempting to recall any and all memories regarding that name--and finding none. In fact, whenever he attempted to query the name, its entry was blocked and refused--perhaps a lingering command module from his days as part of the Earth Defense Forces or the Steel Legion. Whatever that name meant, it was clearly supposed to be important, and his access to those sectors of memory were inherently restricted. Whatever the cause, he would just have to move on without that information.

"Negative, this unit's designation is known as RBC-411, or 'Rubic'. Unit Moira has referred to this unit as 'Rubic' before, so there would be no reason to suggest otherwise," the android stated, as if the whole thing was obvious--and absolutely ludicrous to think otherwise on the matter. Whatever had occurred, however, it was likely that Rubic was considered to be the epicenter of it. Moira and Monica's change in tones and speech patterns regarding Rubic had changed, but their emotions effected the droid just like everything else--meaning entirely for naught.

At that point, Moira explained the situation, stating that Rubic had attacked Moira rather than assist in rescuing Agatha from her captures. Considering the circumstances, the chances that Agatha had been slain or at least heavily injured by their failure to complete their assigned task was, without a doubt, rather high if they were this hostile. He had no reason to assume malcontent or deception on this matter--Moira had proven herself to be reliable, much to Rubic's caution to the contrary, and Monica had done nothing but act with the best of intentions the entire time Rubic had known her.

In effect, there was some sort of conflict involved with this situation that would need to be addressed as soon as possible. After all, Moira was still a unit of PTO origin, and Monica was a former assassin--which meant their beginnings were of disingenuous natures, and even if that wasn't the case now, organics were prone to habit and androids were bound by their programming. He needed to know more.

"This unit possesses significant protocols to restrict engaging friendly units in combat unless absolutely necessary, and such reasons would have been logged into this unit's memory for later corroboration with others if the event necessitated violence. Unit Moira will need some level of proof in order to satisfy the explanation given--this unit has no memory of the event nor of any resulting combat that might have occurred. It is vital that this story be corroborated in some way for verification," he said before looking towards Monica with that same expressionless look as always.

"This unit recommends Unit Monica continue to stand guard. If what Unit Moira says is true, this unit cannot be trusted with further mission objectives and immediate termination may be required," he said before looking back towards Moira expectantly for her answer and proof. If what she said was true, then indeed, he had been compromised to a far greater degree than he thought possible--which meant he was a threat to those that he valued and would need to be terminated in order to prevent further situations like this. "This unit cannot self-terminate--but if this unit is posing a threat to Units Moira, Monica, Chishan, and others, it is vital that the defections of this unit be tolerate no further."

Playfully, Chishan had left the explaining of Agatha's anatomy to her, a healthy mixture of humor and respect carrying through his reason. After all, it was her body; she had every right to educate the boy about it herself, rather than to have him pawing at her in a halfway attempt to make Daji more aware. The gypsy only grinned at him and thanked him teasingly for the opportunity, to which he only smiled back and flattened himself out on the water. He lay in the undulating liquid with his arms and legs stretched out, staring up at the perfect blue sky as she quickly summed up her chest for the fox.

"To be fair, men have them too. They're just not as...attractive." He said without looking at either of them, his hands swirling around so he could tread water. Her next question leapt onto his own, both of them curious to how Daji could have possibly missed the sight of breasts on other women. Sure, Hayami and Hikari may not have been walking around in the nude but even with clothes they were quite noticeable, at least Hikari's. Perhaps Daji's curiosity over the matter had halted itself with the clothing covering them up, opting to assume that they were rolls in the fabric than anything else.

Daji explained away his reason for not realizing what breasts were and it was an understandable situation. He had been created and becoming worldly on a lot of things all at once was a challenge. He was catching up quick but there were bound to be holes and missing pieces that just got lost in the cracks. Apparently anatomy was one of them. Though Chishan was relieved to hear that him and Hayami were not changing together or washing each other; frankly that was a little hurried in his opinion. They were both still young and learning, a whole galaxy out there for them to explore and investigate.

So one can imagine it was quite surprising when Daji asked, rather bluntly, if Hayami would expose herself to him when they were married. His hands stopped mid-roll and halted in their place as the words echoed loudly in his mind. Married. Hell, he knew a little about that right now but...

"Hold on," he said as he pulled himself up to look at the fox, his gleeful mannerisms retreating for the moment to give way to a curious scrutiny. "What do you mean 'when you and Hayami get married'? Is this something you've talked to her about? Is this something you mentioned to Hikari?" He couldn't imagine the former Shadowguard Commander would receive that news well, given how protective she was of her daughter now. Either way...

Daji was on the spot now.

As it turned out, Daji was not the only one on the spot.

Rubic had found himself in quite the pickle -- standing in front of arguably the two women on Earth you never wanted to piss off. Monica held her firearm still off to the side, stable and secure in case the RBC unit decided to show his rebellious side once more. Moira had apparently armed herself before the former assassin got her, just in case of a repeat of what happened on Namek. Credit was due; the android knew when to be prepared.

“Really?" Monica retorted back at Rubic as he rather easily stated her gun wouldn't hurt him. “Because during the war, this same gun took down a whole lot of mechafucks that looked a whole lot like you. But if you really want to test that theory, I am more than willing to help you out." Even as she spoke, she flicked the hammer on the blaster that kept the safety on. It hummed loudly, purring to life with all of its deadly intent.

Monica's gaze flickered away from Rubic for only a moment, looking over his shoulder as she listened to Moira. “He doesn't remember anything..." She repeated softly, her eyes narrowing as she fixed her eyes back on the towering android. “Whoever thought putting emotional, puberty-soaked children into killing machines must be some kind of idiot. They didn't even give you dicks to work off your stress. All you can do is stand there and be like 'beep boop unit Monica, I'm a seven foot feminine product to wash out vaginas.' Fucking Jeremy..." She hissed her last words, glaring hard into the unfeeling face of Rubic. “Didn't your mother spank any manners into you?"

She was pissed, if that wasn't obvious at that point. Moira may not have been the most trustworthy person yet but she had earned her due and Rubic had only shown that he was a wildcard, ready to snap if the wrong thing was said or done. She had no doubt the RBC unit had reacted on Namek because of something that happened before Jeremy took over. Chishan had told her the story and frankly, it seemed like Rubic may have had issues even before they left Blue Village. Crashing the Codex into the Spear was downright maniacal.

Monica scoffed so loudly, it almost became a harsh laugh. “Pro-proof? You are demanding proof? Bitch, I saw what happened with my own eyes. I heard it with my own ears. Do you think I'd come flying over here like my ass was on fire just to play mediator? You fucked up, Rubic. Bad. Putting any amount of trust into you right now is like letting a rabid dog off its chain and hoping it won't bite you. Trust me, I have absolutely no fucking plans of leaving or not playing guard duty on your metal ass. And after you've gotten your proof, you can tuck your tail between your legs and run back to the Fury and pray to whatever aluminum god you have that Chish doesn't turn you into scrap for running off without a reason -- again."

Agatha nodded a bit when Daji explained that he'd never really seen either Hayami or Hikari in situations where he might have been exposed to an arguable bit more of their flesh. Hikari, it seemed, had taken it upon herself to make sure both children learned modesty and respect. Or well, she was trying. Daji was still a bit unclear on the respect part when it came to blatantly asking women about their bodies, but that was hardly his fault. He just needed education, and Agatha was hardly one to tell someone that they shouldn't be asking questions.
<p>
She smirked a little at Chishan when he advised that men had breasts, simply less attractive ones. The expression softened to a kind smile by the time she looked back at Daji. "He's correct. Men and women both have breasts, women's are simply large and pronounced because our breasts serve a purpose that a man's does not: Ours can create milk to feed a child after a woman has given birth, just like any female animal like dogs and cats. We can use our breasts to feed our young until they are able to start eating more solids foods. Men cannot do this." It was a simple enough explanation, she hoped. Even if he had not spent much time around humanoid women, he surely had seen a mother mammal of some type suckling her young. The comparison should be enough for him to understand.
<p>
Like Chishan, Agatha was taken back by Daji's next question. And she was heavily entertained by her fiance's reaction to it, though she hid it well. He was upright and eying Daji evenly, interrogating the young boy like a father might. Which was fair; Chishan was arguably the closest thing Hayami had to a father figure, given that Chaos wasn't exactly a part of the girl's life. The gypsy tread the water patiently as she waited for Daji to answer the Lightning Lord's questions before continuing on to answer his own.
<p>
"Typically, yes. Once two people are married, they expose their bodies to one another and have sex. So if you and Hayami do get married, then it's natural that you would both see one another naked on a fairly regular basis. However, that exposure is a special privilege and something that should be treated with respect. Most women are very sensitive about their bodies, especially their privates. Asking questions about another person's body is very personal, and could easily offend someone. It's good to ask questions and to learn, of course, so I'm not telling you to not ask questions. I would just recommend that you only do so with older women that know you are simply trying to learn rather than be rude, such as Hikari and myself. Okay?"
<p>
Her smile widened a bit to assure him that, despite her words, she was not at all offended that he had asked such a personal question. But gods forbid he think it okay to ask any random woman about her body. He'd probably be traumatized by the backlash, should he ask about such sensitive things to a woman that didn't understand he wasn't trying to be lewd. Agatha had met Hikari enough times to know that she would treat the matter much like Agatha, as an opportunity for education, so she felt it safe to tell Daji that he could probably talk to the other woman if he had more questions in the future. However, these were not things he needed to be discussing with Hayami just yet. If he didn't even know what sex was, there was no reason for him to be thinking about marriage or talking to the other girl about her body.
<p>
But that was a conversation she would let Chishan have with him.

Moira was so over the drone act.
<p>
Rubic stood there, ever the perfect visage of robot logic, consistent in his inability to process things that existed outside the realm of what he knew to be truth. And to be fair, Moira was certainly like that to an extent as well, but her ability to not just understand but accept the abstract had grown by leaps and bounds during her time with Agatha, Monica, and the others. But not Rubic. No, she called him by his other name and he firmly denied any knowledge of it, which really just made her more angry.
<p>
And Monica was having none of it, either. The RBC unit attempted to call her bluff on her threats, and without hesitation the former assassin made it it very clear that she was not bluffing. Her weapon was more than capable of damaging Rubic, and had taken down other Steel Legion units in the past. The other android went on to demand proof about Moira's testimony, which only set Monica off on another tangent. It was just as well. Moira was so overcome with hatred and anger toward Rubic in that moment, for having the gall to do what he did and then not remember it, that she couldn't even form words. So she just let Monica yell at him for a moment before she finally just gave the RBC unit what he wanted.
<p>
"You want proof? Here it is, asshole." Internally, she access her memory systems until she could locate the file that was the recording from that incident. Given that she had already shared it with Chishan and the others in the past, it was already segmented such that it would start right when it needed to. A noise filled the air from the radio speaker in Moira's chassis, the sound similar to what one might hear while flying -- air rushing violently past, making a loud scratching sound against the microphone that was attached to her person.
<p>
And Rubic would hear every word, enough to hear when his own voice changed, when he started attacking Moira and mocking both Rubic and Chishan. She played the entire recording for him, including as they were both falling after she'd set off the EMP in her own body to take him down, and even the short exchange of words they'd spoken after they'd hit the ground -- even the part about Jeremy letting it slip that Rubic had a small crush on Moira and thought she was cute. Never once did Moira's angry, betrayed gaze leave the RBC unit's as the recording played, her blue eyes glued to him like a hawk until Monica's own voice could be heard after she arrived on the scene and found the two of them broken on the ground.
<p>
And when the recording was done playing, Moira didn't have any words for him. In truth, she didn't feel like anything needed to be said. Not on her end, at least. Every possible insult and argument she could have made toward Rubic in that moment had already been flung at Jeremy and had been heard through the recording: How much of a hypocrite he was for judging her on her PTO parts, while he was still clearly attached to his own Steel Legion roots, how his actions had put Agatha in further danger and would earn him no favor or trust with Chishan. No, Moira had nothing to say.
<p>
But Rubic had a hell of a lot of explaining to do, and both women in front of him were more than ready to take action if he put so much as a gear out of line.

The young fox tilted his head as both Uncle Chishan and Auntie Agatha went on to explain that both boys and girls had breasts--which was odd, but now that he thought about it, he did realize that Hayami's and Hikari's torso's were a bit bigger than his when he saw them in certain outfits. Perhaps it was because they dressed heavily around him that he hadn't noticed it before... he couldn't quite place his finger on it, though, why it had skipped his eyes like that. Maybe he was just attentive to what Hikari always had to say and he just enjoyed being around Hayami so much that little details escaped him... well, he would have to ask them about that later. The explanation was interesting as well, causing the boy to think on when he had seen younger animals licking on older ones, and it suddenly started to make sense. Maybe they hadn't learned how to eat regular food yet, so they needed milk? That made sense, in a way. So Hayami and Hikari were able to feed children this way as well? He never saw them do such a thing, nor had there really been any younglings around to do so--it was confusing, but he felt he was making progress in learning all about this odd bit.

Daji opened his mouth to ask another question when Uncle blurted out his question, causing the boy to wince visibly and his ears to flatten against his hair and head, slowly turning towards the elder figure as he aggressively asked Daji several questions, each one causing the boy to slowly slink deeper into the water until only his head was above it, apparently rather confused about the whole thing--was he being chastised for something? Hayami usually was fairly gentle about most things, but this seemed rather serious, but quickly enough, Agatha snagged the fox's attention again, allowing him to open up a bit more to the both of them as she explained that people did, indeed, expose themselves to their husbands or wives in order to have 'sex'--whatever that was. He wasn't sure what that meant, really, and he only recalled his classmates talking about it on a few occasions--what was it?

He was then informed that questioning someone about their body could be seen as rude, though she was quick to add a warm smile to it to reassure the fox, a small smile mimicking her own upon the young man's face as he finally pulled himself up out of the water from his dejected stance. He tapped his finger on his cheek for a moment in deep thought, his eyes whisking about as he recalled certain things that had happened and realizing just why Hayami was acting the way she was. He then looked between Chishan and Agatha and nodded to them.

"I--I understand, I think. Hayami said she wanted to marry me, too, but I--I didn't think I had to talk to Hikari about it--is it really important that I do? I didn't think marriage was such a big event..." he said, turning the teachings he had been imparted in his skull a few times, the gears almost visibly turning in his head as he thought about it. "So... if we get married, it's natural to be naked with one another and have sex... but what is sex?" He said, playing around with the pronunciation of the word with his lips and teeth and tongue almost comically as he tried to get it to sound right. What an odd word. "But... I won't ask Hayami about that without respect, I promise! I don't... I don't want to do anything that would hurt her feelings..." He said, a frown replacing his inquisitive look as he thought about doing just that. He already made up his mind to do so properly, but there was still a lot he didn't quite understand.

"S--so me being naked around Hayami isn't a good thing--its supposed to be for after we're married. I'll... I'll make double sure that doesn't happen again," he said, nodding with a determined look on his face, not realizing that the first time it had happened had been, well, out of ignorance, but he still made it a point to do better in the future. His eyes then widened with another question as he realized the connection.

"Are... are nakedness, sex, breasts, and children all connected?" He asked with that same abandonment of caution as before, as if he were back in a classroom, but he suddenly realized that he, indeed, was naked at that moment and moved his arms to cover his hips from view--despite most of his body still being underwater. "S--sh--should I go, uh, get dressed?"

=========================

It was true--from the previous logs concerning the mechanism that Monica was currently holding in her grasp, the droid understood its rather explosive properties. For a normal RBC unit android, it would pose as a significant threat--but Rubic had been improved beyond the scope of this timeline's grasp of electronics and hardware. Units Ianto and Pan had seen to it that he receive as much of an upgrade and repairs as possible in an effort to save his life from destruction after the great battle on Earth. For humans, it was likely a passage of years, but for Rubic, it was akin to yesterday, despite his chronological systems telling him otherwise. He could examine every battle and scenario he had ever been in with great detail and learn from them in endless fashion with perfect recollection--perhaps organics felt the passage of time more keenly than he did.

Regardless, Rubic paid Monica's initial threat no further attention--her psychiatric evaluation thus far was indicative of her boisterous--if factual--nature concerning her combat capabilities. In his current state, he was likely no match for the both of them in concerted effort if the situation devolved into a combative one, but a simple blast from her weapon would not eliminate Rubic--not even close. It would take at least three of those same pistols combined into one machine in order to puncture his outer chassis, though judging from her performance evaluation as well, she was more than capable of such performance without needing to rely on a weapon. The fact that she even had one with her seemed illogical to the android.

Monica continued into her rant and tirade concerning the RBC program, initially designed by Doctor Harold Hathaway and perfected by Unit Five-Thousand and the Steel Legion--or so they had estimated. The system had its flaws, of course, but there was no denying the strength and unity that had occurred under the Legion's rule. It was simply a matter of conflicting directives for Rubic--his objectives had clashed with theirs, at least, when he was separated from the wireless network. When he was part of it... there was still nothing. He had no recollection of his battle with Chishan, no recollection of his time as part of the legion, nothing was available. Small snippets of information in broken, incomplete logs about his progress on Earth, but nothing concrete or substantial--only semantics.

"This unit does not possess a tail," the droid said in response to Monica's final attempt at insults. Her aim to harm the droid on an emotional level was a flawed plan--he was incapable of having his morale harmed in any way, shape, or form, especially when it came to mere vocal communication. He was devoid of emotion--such attempts at beratement would probably work on a lesser, organic soldier, but the RBC units had been designed to be far above that--practically immune to it.

Finally, Moira revealed the information that Rubic had requested, noticing it was in strict audio format--but judging from the metadata that ran beneath the recorded words and sounds, bursts of binary coded data, he could tell that the transmission that had been recorded and now replayed for him was genuine. If there had been manipulation in order to falsify his actions and words, he would have noticed it in there--but no, the data was complete and genuine.

And that, therein, lay the anamoly.

In one moment, he was operating within normal parameters, and in the next, another individual had taken over. Once again, Rubic attempted to access the restricted files within his database, but was denied access, despite the complete overhaul from Ianto and Pan. Once again, the final barriers of his origins and design truths were denied to his knowledge due to the foresight of the Earth Defense Forces commander--Rowndown. As near as Rubic could tell, access to the information the droid requested of his own hard drive was denied to him, which meant that it was encoded directly onto his black box to prevent circumvention--and if it was true what they said this unit had done... the consequences were more than just severe.

The droid had initially requested his own destruction of Units Pan and Chishan, before they had assaulted the Earth Defense Forces base. In order to prevent the knowledge gained from the war to fall into enemy hands, every single RBC unit would have to be destroyed--including himself. It was clear, now, that the initial proposition had been of sound mind and deliberation, despite the protests of both Pan and Chishan. They had argued so vehemently against such a course of action as well--he had warned them about this. He had warned them that he would either fall into enemy hands and start the legion over again--he had warned them that he may, one day, malfunction.

Perhaps there was still time to take corrective measures in that regard. Both Moira and Monica seemed to be receptive to the method of destruction Rubic would require.

Once the recording finished, the droid looked at each of them, coldly, emotionlessly, calculating, as if assessing their combat abilities and destructive capabilities. Satisfied with his scan of them both, he spoke.

"Units Moira and Monica. It is of paramount importance that his unit be destroyed as quickly as possible. This unit concurs with Unit Moira's assessment--this unit's operating system has been compromised by another entity. In order to prevent further danger and loss of life, it is imperative that this unit be terminated immediately," he said, flexing his hands for a moment until the armor across his chest popped off his chest in a dazzling, yet harmless, display of sparks and micro-explosions, revealing the wired components of his interior. A small capsule, connected by dozens of black wires slowly stepped forth from within the droid's chest, black as night, a single light blinking rapidly upon it.

The core of his being. Everything else about his body was secondary compared to this single, thumb-sized device.

"This unit cannot self-terminate due to restrictions on programming. It is imperative that Units Moira and Monica destroy this unit's black box before further damage is caused. The calculations do not lie--the potential for great danger is measured at greater than seventy-five percent increase over normal parameters. If this entity--this... named entity--is allowed to fully control this unit's platform, the amount of damage that could be caused could be catastrohpic. This unit must be terminated," he said, explaining the situation as thoroughly and simply as possible. He looked towards the both of them expectently, as if this was the most natural course of action on the planet.

Suicide by ally. Perhaps that was the term for it.
