The Saiyan race; they are warriors of few parallels, who have traversed the galaxy laying waste to entire species and planets, though they have managed to do so while maintaining a much better relationship and reputation with the rest of the galaxy. How, you might wonder? It is simple, very little information regarding the activities of the Saiyan Empire escape their corner of the universe. Tonight, however, we were able to get a brief and disturbing look into some recent incidents that took place all over their Empire. I am Chet Manley and this is From the Inside! An Adventurer's Guide production.

Imagine, if you will, serving in one of the largest and most intimidating fighting forces in the universe. Being a rank-and-file soldier of the Saiyan Empire, eager to prove yourself in combat and ascend to yet another rung on their strict hierarchical ladder. Every action you commit to has the weight of a lifetime resting upon it, as failure could mean your expulsion from the army or worse...your execution. We have a report of one Saiyan who was faced with such a choice and the consequences of their actions.

His name was Matsu, a warrior of the 3rd-class, the lowest class for Saiyan Warriors, and he was entrenched on a rocky hill deep within the Saiyan badlands for five days combating an alien uprising. The race of the attackers is unknown, though what we do know is that during the ensuing battles Matsu's commander was gravely wounded. The five Saiyan fighters holding the hill were within flight radius of a medical facility and a single warrior could have taken the commander in to save is life, which is exactly what Matsu proposed.

His reward? Death at the hands of one of his own squadmates. Though his executioner's name was stricken from the records, he was cut down for merely suggesting an action which could have saved his commander's life. I can't help but think that such a soldier would be lauded as a hero back on Earth and it just goes to show you how different our worlds can be.

Tune in next week as we delve further into the brutal, the intriguing and the scandalous activities taking place in the Saiyan army. This has been Chet Manley, signing out.
