Description: A secret underground fighting operation, known as the Crimson Fists have taken an interest in your skills. You have been invited to join in on their... 'activities'. In the arena, some of the most dangerous of Earth's fighters gather for blood spattered brawls, people often getting killed as a result. The league is run by a man calling himself Fayzr; a drug baron who supplies the fighters with expensive chems. Depending on what kind of character you want to be, you can take this opportunity to get close to the head of the league and put an end to this bloodsport for good. Alternatively you can succumb to the lust for battle in your veins and become the champion of the underground. Reward: +500 zeni, +5 DP, +40 all stats, +5 Rp Credits Bonus: +2 alignment if you destroy the league OR Bonus: -2 to alignment if you become the new champion. Grimlok had found himself restless in the days that followed his battle with the yellow haired warrior. Something about the way the fight had ended just didn't sit right with the android for reasons that he couldn't quite put his finger on. After several minor missions had failed to put an end to his torment Grimlok, in a final last ditch effort to take the edge off, urged his brother to join him in a sparring match. It was a long shot, but maybe just maybe it would provide him enough of a challenge to ease the tension until he could find himself a proper battle to get himself into. Thus he now found himself standing in a wide open field squared off against his brother, who had managed to close the gap between their power levels, eagerly awaiting to see what tricks Kilborn would be bringing to the table this time. Come now brother let us not waste any time with needless pleasantries, I think that we both are more than ready to test our strength against one another. So how about we skip all the toying around and dive straight into things shall we? To further emphasize his point Grimlok promptly rose his power to its maximum limit then released his ki limiter allowing his energy levels to surge even higher. The android paused just long enough to allow his brother time to do the same before he charged forward at incredible speed setting upon his sparring partner in the blink on an eye. Grimlok's hands became a blur of motion as quick jab and right hook were followed quickly by a couple rapid fire body shots a combo that ended with a powerful upper cut. Not quite ready to end this opening assault, and wanting to really drive his point home to his brother to take this spar between them seriously the android cocked back his left hand and let loose a vicious haymaker as he pooled his ki into the attack. Show me what you are made of brother give me the challenge that I have been craving before it drives me mad. Grimlok stood battle ready for his brothers retaliation when an all too familiar alert filled his ears. The android knew even before the words dashed across his vision that his fun would have to wait... the brothers now had a mission to carry out. The first part of the mission briefing was an invite to join in the fighting area of the Crimson Fists an opportunity that normally would have been of great interest, however, after the invite came the real mission which was to wipe out the Crimson Fist by any means necessary. The invite had provided the android with the time and place of the next gathering of fighters all that remained now was to get there and carry out his orders. Damn... everyone seems to be trying steal away my fun these days. Oh well a jobs a job and at least this one I can do it my way... perhaps I'll fight a thug or two before turning the whole lot of them to ash. Grimlok cast a glance over to his brother who had obviously gotten the same call to action that he had. Well lets go get this damn thing over with so that we can get back to finishing what we have started here. WC: 568 TWC: 568 TQWC: 568 |

Darkness, so absolute that it would have been terrifying if Zyren hadn't grown up in it for as long as he could remember until several dozen sleep cycles ago, where he had finally laid eyes on something that wasn't the giant silver, pale orb in the sky that gave an ounce of light when it was full. This light, the sun as Red and now Soul called it, hurt at first, but had settled down from blinding to a mild discomfort whenever it was out. His white skin had first burned like a thousand bugs had bit into it continously after being in it too long when it was his turn, but it had only taken a few times and a few months for him to grow used to it--and for his white skin to now be a healthy tan. Zyren shook himself mentally, getting rid of the useless thoughts and trying to remember what had happened. He had been walking, trying to adjust to being out and about in the rock-structure, rock-ground place that Soul called Sit~Tay...when something puffed. He thought it was one of the humans, but a stinging sensation in his neck--followed by a thump as something whacked him hard enough to stun him momentarily... Followed by something being brought over his mouth, and it smelled sweet. Then, darkness. Now he was awake, and couldn't move. Everything felt...numb, sleepy. A rustling sound, and whatever that was blocking his view of his surroundings was ripped off his head; and with it, enabled his adrenaline and whatever had been blocking him from communicating with his counterpart. With it, Soul appeared, eyes flashing as he too looked around with Zyren's movements; wondering what had happened to block him and Zy from switching places or even feeling each other's presence. With a subtle shake, Soul took over, and Zy was thankful before going to sleep. He hated Two-leg things. Soul finished examining his surroundings and finally brought his attention to bear on the person responsible for the Hybrids' kidnapping, a tall, muscular man that met his gaze with a glare. "Kid, No funny business, you'll regret it. You may be strong, but we got you once, and that means we can get you again. All we...request is that you fight for us, give us some entertainment, and then you can go...but only if you place in the top three of the leaderboards!" Soul stared at him solemnly for a few moments, then nodded, and the man snapped his fingers. Immediately, Soul could move, but another snap of the man's fingers caused his world to briefly go black before he appeared inside a caged in arena. Across from him was a man, strong...but not to him. The bell rung once, but was quickly overshadowed by the sound of a body crashing into and then crumpling against the side of the cage; instantly followed by a flare of color and light as the not-so-normal cage dissipated the kinetic force elsewhere, preventing it from breaking. "Well...I guess I can't break the cage unless I put all of my effort into it...but I need to get rid of this anger, this...uncomfortable feeling. It's been here all along since I passed out mid-fight with Grim, and I think I might have done so since the backlash from using my universe's techniques too much in this Universe." With the current fight over, the carcass of Soul's opponent blinked out of existence only for another person to take it's place; and for a tally to appear next to Soul's name on the board outside of it. People moved, talked, and did other things on the outside of the cage, but to Soul...it was dead silent, like the sound was being blocked. WC: 631 / 631 QWC: 1,199 |

The past several days had finally pushed Kilborn to his breaking point. Day after day he had watched his brother mope about over how their last battle had ended. Not that he couldn't understand his brothers dissatisfaction, but enough was enough. The android had even put out the extra effort to find missions that normally would be of some interest to his brother but it had no effect Grimlok would simply go out finish the mission and return in the same slump that he was in when he left. The same old song and dance day in and day out had become quite the chore, and one that Kilborn was in desperate need to bring an end to if only for his sanity's sake. Thankfully today happened to be his lucky day as Grimlok approached him eager for a sparring match, and while it wasn't normally something he enjoyed doing there was a hint of the old Grimlok behind the request that he couldn't deny. Well if nothing else this is the perfect excuse to blow off some steam of my own. What's the worst that can happen? Sure brother a little sparring could do us both some good. In no time at all the brothers found themselves facing off in a large open field were they would be able to spar without damaging anything overly important. The past couple of months of training had yielded some very nice results for Kilborn allowing him to finally close the wide gap between he and his brothers power level. Ok brother time for me to test just how far I can push this body of mine. Kilborn stood silently as Grimlok prattled on like he tended to do the android couldn't help but to think that for someone so eager to get things his brother sure did always find a way to hear himself talk. However, the sudden burst of wind that came off his brother indicated that the talking was done and the fight was about to start. Kilborn quickly rose his power to its peak and allowed his limiter to release permitting even more energy to course through his body. No sooner had he completely powered up and drawn his blade his brother launched his opening attack. The punches came fast and hard exactly what he would expect coming from his brother. Fists rang out against the steel of his sword as Kilborn worked furiously to keep his weapon between himself and Grimlok's onslaught. Tisk... At this rate all I'll be able to do is defend against his punches I need to find a way to gain a little distance if I want to have any chance at all of throwing any attacks of my own. As the thought crossed his mind one of Grimlok's punches exploded violently against his blade sending Kilborn sliding several feet backwards. Shit... Good one brother you almost got me there... Now it's my turn! Kilborn drew back his sword and readied to launch himself forward, but just before he could go through with his plan a low beeping sound flooded his auditory channel. Seriously? This has to happen right now of all times... This is just great... The android paused his actions as an invite to join some sort of illegal fighting arena flashed across his vision followed by a contract requesting the eradication of the organization hosting the event. More than a little annoyed with the timing Kilborn looked to his brother who had obviously just received the same message he had. Grimlok offered a few words about continuing their match once the mission was through before launching himself into the air. Kilborns' response was low as at this point he was mostly just talking to himself. Ok brother we will settle this once the job is though you can count on it. WC: 640 TWC: 640 TQWC: 1,839 |

Grimlok soared through the sky towards the location given to him in his mission briefing. From the information in his data logs the brothers destination appeared to be located around a mountain range several miles to the north of where the brothers had been sparring. The mechanical warrior couldn't help but to feel that destroying the area would be a great loss as the prospect of having a place to gather just to fight strong combatants seemed perfect. Yet orders were orders and Grimlok wasn't one to fail to complete a mission even if he didn't exactly agree with the end result. So brother what kind of resistance do you think that we will be facing when we arrive? I do so hope that there are some worthy fighters on site that will put up an effort to try and stop us from shutting them down. It would be a real shame after all for our little match to have been interrupted by something that turned out to be a total waste of our time and energy. The android continued onward as he listened to his brothers thoughts on the matter only half listening as he continued to think over what could possibly face them when they got to the arena. Grimlok had to imagine that at least some of the fighters could pose a challenge for the brothers. Having been invited to join the festivities it only made sense for someone to have scouted the duo's fighting capabilities it just didn't add up for them to have been handed a blind invite. His brothers voice telling him they had arrived at the designated location drew Grimlok from his thoughts, sure enough they were there faint traces of energy could be detected from deep within the mountain below him. Wonderful there seems to be fighters here that at least possess some promise. Now I guess I should so some manners and at least knock to announce my arrival. The android took aim as energy began to form within his palm. Ready yourself brother we don't really know who, or how many they have on their welcoming committee. I doubt very much that it will be much of a problem at first, however, their abilities are an unknown variable so it will be best to show caution until we know what exactly it is we are dealing with. At that orbs of energy erupted forth from his palm to pepper the mountainside with several small explosions, after all the goal was to drive the fighters from their nest not to level the whole mountain. It didn't take long until a siren sounded from deep inside the mountain and the ki signatures within began to mobilize heading to what had to be the exits in order to deal with the attackers. Yes come to me provide for me some entertainment even if only for a moment. Here they come brother time for us to have some fun with the first wave. No sooner had Grimlok finished speaking bodies began to pour out of the mountain from hidden doorways. The numbers of their first response team was greater than he had expected, but only a couple within that number appeared to have the strength to put up any real resistance for the brothers. Well it's better than nothing I guess I don't know what I was expecting rea... Grimlok's train of thought derailed completely as his sensors detected a familiar energy source that still resided within the mountain. It's him... What is he doing here? My apologies brother I leave this to you I have someone I need to go say hello to Not wasting any time Grimlok took off at full speed heading towards one of the doors that fighting force had exited from. Soul panted, slightly exhausted from his excursions in defeating the last handful of opponents, and during the minute break between fights he glanced at the board to note his score. Twelve...how many more?" He had defeated more than twelve people, but had lost count because each "point" he had earned caused the next to opponent to increase in power, and by the eight point, had been about half. They didn't seem to have anyone stronger than that, or more so willing to throw them out at him if he had to guess. However, that didn't mean they didn't try throwing multiple people out after then tenth. First two at eleven, and now three at the point he just one. What was this one going to be? With a grunt, he stretched out his hand and concentrated, deciding that now was the time to try the ability he was struggling to recreate in this Universe. Energy built through the pores that were in his hand, which quickly grew to mask his hand in a silver-white sheen that he then tensed his muscles with. His brow furrowed, his arm shook, struggling to move the energy from his to the space in front of it...and the Ki condensed; the mere movement of it cracking the stone in the Arena. Three flashes of light appeared on the three other cardinal directions in the cage that he was in, signifying the appearance of a trio for him to fight. He growled, condensing it more--and the air bent, cracking the fabric of space before it distorted and revealed a black hole. His growl built, and with a tentative thrust of his hand, he reached into the void and called forth the ki-structure that resonated in his memories. The fastest opponent lunged, aiming to land a double hammerblow that would either stun or knock out the Hybrid if it hit, but Soul was faster. He withdrew and spun in the same motion, the sound of a hammer striking an anvil ringing out in the cage accompanied by a bright burst of light and energy. Soul vanished, leaving the man bisected at the waist to crash into the floor below, disbelief and a questioning gaze the last thing that he gave before he died. The Hybrid appeared behind the next opponent, this one a woman, but he swung a lethal blow--and she dodged. The ground shuddered, the cage warped, and the ceiling above the cage practically imploded from whatever just happened outside. With the sudden turn of events and the fact that Soul had physics helping him, he recovered from his shock faster to land the blow that the girl would have otherwise dodged. She collapsed, and with it, the shield did as well. Whether she was the owner of it or the caster was busy, he couldn't tell, but his gaze was drawn to the side to see a familiar figure in the doorway. "Oh hey, it's you. Nice to see you, uh...oh right, we never exchanged names. Mine's Soul, yours?" As for the third man...where did he go? WC: 515/1,146 TQWC: 3,554 |

Kilborn trailed closely behind his brother on route to the location designated to them in their mission briefing. Interesting... according to my data there is nothing out there but mountains and wilderness. Whoever these people are they have either just built their facilities, or they have been able to keep its location a secret all this time. Either way you look at it is a rather impressive feat in and of itself. If this Crimson Fist is half as capable as warriors as they are crafty we could be in for somewhat of a challenge. So brother what kind of resistance do you think that we will be facing when we arrive? His brothers words pulled the android from his own thoughts. At least if nothing else he is putting some thought into all of this instead of rushing in with no plan at all that's a nice change of pace. Well brother the way I see it this organization either has the financial backing to spring up a fighting arena whenever and where ever they please, or they have the connections and resourcefulness to allow their activities to remain undetected. No matter how you look at it we should be on our guard until we know what kind of resistance they are going to be able to throw our way. As Kilborn spoke he could tell that his brother was only half listening to what he had to say on the matter, but that was half better than normal so he would take what he could get. The two continued to head north only slowing slightly once they felt that they could be within scanning range of the mountain that seemed to be their destination. On the surface everything appeared to be normal no stone or bush seemed to be out of place, however, Kilborn's sensors detected faint traces of ki energy somewhere deep under the mountains' surface. Well that clears that mystery up their organization is operating under the mountains. A practical, if not somewhat overly played out as a secret hideout location if nothing else it at least confirms that they have been here for an extended period of time. The android continued to absent mindedly analyze the situation at hand until his brothers impatient nature forced him from his thoughts. Kilborn saw the energy forming up within his brothers palm, and in that moment he knew that whatever strategies he had worked up were about to go out the window... again. Before launching his attack Grimlok rattled off a warning, that Kilborn had given him just moments before, as if it was his own original idea. Tsk if only I knew if that means he was listening enough to remember what I as on some level, or if it meant that he wasn't listening at all and things that was all his idea... I can never tell with him... In the wake of his brothers attack somewhere deep within the mountain sirens screamed to life. And here we go.[/i] Kilborn's thoughts paralleled the words of his brother and in no time at all hidden pathways in the mountain opened and spewed forth warriors as if it were an angry beehive. Preliminary scans indicated that only a couple amongst the resistance force would be any match at all for the brothers nothing that the two of them wouldn't be able to handle though. That is until it happened Kilborn caught a flicker of a familiar energy signature. Oh shit... not him... not now... Maybe brother didn't notice... Kilborn looked to his brother hopeful that Grimlok hadn't noticed, but just by looking at him he already knew he was lost before a word was spoken. My apologies brother I leave this to you I have someone I need to go say hello to. Son of a bitch... Kilborn's words went unheard as before he had even finished speaking Grimlok vanished down one of the open passages entering the mountain. The android glanced around at the forces that were now surrounding him. Guess it can't be helped, after all what else did I expect from him, brother is as much a slave to his impulses as I am he can't help it that his impulses differ from mine. Kilborn drew his blade and readied himself for combat. What are you all waiting for let us get this party started shall we? A handful of the weaker warriors took the bait and rushed in apparently hoping that their numbers would tilt the odds in their favor. Fools. In one swift motion the android swung his sword his attackers had just enough time for confusion to spread across their faces before their bodies separated and fell to the ground. Kilborn returned to his battle stance taking note of the fear in some of the attackers eyes as they began to comprehend that the fight wouldn't be so easily won by numbers alone. Is that the best you've got? Would anyone else care to be next to step up and try their luck? The android noticed a combatant to his right shift his weight and just as the poor soul started to move forward to attack Kilborn pointed a finger in his direction and let loose a beam of energy that removed the beings head from its body. Pathetic... Simply pathetic... They possess the numbers as well as the potential force to take me on, but they are clearly under trained and lack any sort of strategic thought. Oh well it's their loss I don't have the time nor the patience to give them a lesson in proper combat strategy. As the android lamented how foolish this foes were he mindlessly cut down any who dared try to rush him. Soon the numbers at him came slower as with each of their number that rushed onward to their death spread fear throughout their ranks until finally one of the stronger fighters finally spoke up. ENOUGH! Get your heads together and think for a moment. We have him out numbered if we all rush him at once there is no way that he could deal with all of us before we take him down. Come on men it is time that we finish this and put this embarrassment behind us. Well it's about damn time. Show me what you've got, and do try not to hold anything back as this might be the last thing you ever do on this earth. As the mob of enemies rushed in as one ready to put an end to the androids decimation of their numbers, Kilborn drew back his sword and with a chuckle dashed forward to meet the mob head on. After all it was indeed time to finish this. WC: 1,126 TWC: 1,766 TQWC: 4,680 |

As the android made his way through the tunnels his mind was flooded with thoughts of the warrior that had left him feeling so hollow even after a victory. What is he even doing here? Was he likewise recruited to fight for the Crimson Fist? Is he here willingly, or was he brought here by force? I know the report said that the organization has a history of kidnapping fighters to fight for their entertainment, but I have a hard time seeing them taking him by force... Though I guess it is possible that they used means besides force to get him here if he was indeed taken against his will. At least I hope that he was taken and not here of his own accord I would hate to have to destroy him as part of my mission parameters. I would prefer that our next fight be on our own terms and not a byproduct of chance. Grimlok rounded a bend and came face to face with members of what he assumed was the security force that had remained within the facility either to protect the interior, or they just happened to be deeper inside when the attack started and hadn't made their way outside just yet. Whatever the case the stood between him and his goal and that wasn't a place that anyone wanted to find themselves. The dumbasses made the attempt to order the android to halt, but it was too little too late Grimlok would not be delayed in his meeting with the yellow haired warrior. In a blur of motion the android set to work dismantling the forces that stood before him. Each thrust of his fist brought forth the sickening crunch of bone, or the wet smacking sound of flesh turning to mush under the sheer force behind the impact of a punch. More bodies rounded the bend and it was then that Grimlok decided that enough was enough. The mechanical being raised his hand and unleashed a burst of energy that filled the tunnel turning all that found themselves on the wrong side of the attack into nothing but ash. The android paid little attention to the damage done to the tunnel itself as he planned to level this entire place once he was finished with his business inside. Where... Where is it?... WHERE IN THE HELL IS THE DOOR!?! Grimlok's very limited supply of patience had run empty as he broke into a full sprint through the tunnels tracking down the energy signature that belonged to the yellow haired fighter. Finally a door appeared before him as he rounded one last corner, without even bothering to slow down Grimlok charged up energy and blew the doors open charging right through the opening ready to face whatever awaited him on the other side. However, the android couldn't have expected to see what he did as he witnessed an energy barrier collapse around what he assumed was the fighting stage and standing upon it stood his target. The two briefly gazed at each other before the yellow haired warrior spoke offering his name and inquiring about his in return. Soul... So that is your name... I am known as Grimlok. I have been sent here to bring an end to the organization in charge of running these fights. If you are with them I will be forced to treat you as a hostile. If not I asked that you either help with the destruction of this facility, or get yourself out of here either is an acceptable option. However, I asked that you make your choice swiftly as I have a mission to complete. WC: 610 TWC: 1,810 TQWC: 5,290 |

The blonde Hybrid listened to the hulking mass of an android introduce himself as Grimlok, and then continue with how his mission--Oh that's right, he's a mercenary, I forgot--was to eradicate the organization that was in charge of these cage matches. Then came the part where he was told that if he was with them, Grim would consider him an enemy; but if Soul wasn't with them, then he could help Grim and his brother destroy the facility or flee. "Hmm, I see your problem, Grimlok. However, there's a slight problem with your request, but probably not the way you think it is. I'm not part of this organization, just forced to fight, but I want to be top dawg before it get's destroyed. As long as you agree to that, than I'll stay out of your way, you stay out of mine, and we can fight another time; one on one, how does that sound?" The sound of something falling and crashing erupted behind him, causing him to spin around with a mixture of surprise and caution, but only saw a heap of crumpled metal and blood. It took him a second to figure out what it was, and where the blood had came from, but the realization made him grin and turn back to the android. "It seems like your...entrance helped solved my problem then, because what remains of the guy behind that door that's currently serving as the filling for a metal/rock sandwich was my opponent." An explosion above that caused the room that they were in to shake, and if the resulting creaks and groans had any significance to what might happen if they stayed in it, Soul hurried to finish what he had been saying before the interruption. "So that means that I can help you guys now if you brother doesn't finish them off first after all, so c'mon!" With that exclamation, Soul gleefully left the room, his tiredness and pain forgotten at the thought of being able to dish out revenge at being forced to be a form of entertainment. Granted, it had simultaneously served to be good practice and a testament to his endurance, but also help him find out where his weaknesses laid. Stamina was one of them, even if he was leagues above any baseline, because a fight with someone the same strength or greater than his was usually won whenever one fighter tired out to much. If he improved that, along with his reaction and focused on both maintaining his Sense at all times and strengthening it... Yes, he knew just where to start on improving his weaknesses!
