Just beginning to take some time off Trunks could see he would be given no such relief from the many troubles that plagued the populace of this timeline. While he had to be worried about changing too much Trunks was sure lending a hand would do more good than bad. A man had been heard circling around town, in a disarray of panic and worry. While word traveled faster their origin came shortly after. Within the next few minutes a finely clothed merchant rushed into the building, yelling about losing his goods and looking for someone to recover the good. The merchant even went further to offer a reward of zeni and hinted towards an additional gift in the form of one of the many products he had lost.

After calming him down Trunks would work some more information out of the man before deciding to help or not. Apparently the man was traveling on foot transporting a shipment, which he had been carefully dancing around defining. However, Trunks would not worry too much as he could check himself, he assumed the man was just being cautious as the shipment had carried a great value. This fact was evident in the man's initial response and the already orchestrated ambush to steal whatever the 'goods' were. Agreeing to help, Trunks respected the man's privacy for now before being quietly told the location of where he was ambushed.

Nodding and rushing out of the building Trunks soared into the air, quickly taking off toward the Land of Korin. The giant lookout towering over the flat land was very noticeable from a birds eye view he now had. Instead of landing and investigating on foot Trunks hovered up even higher, landing on the surface of the flat top of the lookout. Having already been acquainted with this timeline's owner of said lookout Trunks thought perhaps they would provide some information of the area. After all any nearby nuisances would surely be noticed by any that had stood atop the lookout for some time. Luckily for him that would exactly be the case as the white sagely cat explained a few odd scenarios he had been questioning since he had seen them. A group of odd people having moved in and seemingly disappeared over night, but ever since their appearance the barren land had been lifeless. Not even a single merchant had been seen crossing the barren and easily supervised area. If what he had been told was true this would no doubt confirm the merchants claims, these bandits must have been secretly praying on the passing merchants while no one was watching.

With that all in mind Trunks turned to the once place that seemed to always allude any searching for answers. The curves and bends of the hills and mountains that lined the flat rolling plains of the Land of Korin. If any were to seek a long-term means of basing around the desert like area the area would provide enough protection from the natural elements. Only coming out during the less intense hours of the day and when a target is spotted by a few scouts. However, if this theory was to be proven Trunks would have to find some evidence. For that he would remain atop the lookout, as the Land of Korin was a sort off trading crossroads it would surely not take long to notice any odd happenings. One would just have to be very mindful of the far off outskirts as to not miss any actions scanning the rest of the vast open area.

If there was one place the newly settled group of bandits would be hiding out that would surely supply all the coverage they would need. The next morning a little light would be shed on the situation. Having awoken early in the day Trunks would see a merchant pop up on the far horizon as the sun rose. Like clockwork it seemed the suspected group would slowly emerge, stalking the man for a short distance before springing from the nearby treeline. Before any more words could be exchanged Trunks darted off to the location of the altercation, seeming to instantly crash down between the two parties.

The hasty landing would cause a brief silence, only accompanied by everyone scrambling back to their feet and panting. Then the silence was cut off by the purple haired swordsman growling soft, making his demands as he turned to face the bandits.

"You have been praying on the people of this land long enough. Hands over all your pilfered goods or you'll regret it." A smirk appeared upon Trunks face as he tried to hold a stern attitude. In a way it reminded him of a few people he had begun his whole journey to the past for. Although Trunks brushed this thoughts aside for the time being, he had more important matters to attend to right now.

Having just got to their feet the bandits were noticeably shaken by his arrival. Barely keeping his panic under control what seemed to be the bandits' 'leader' gained his composure before confronting Trunks himself. Stepping out of the group the man approached Trunks, perhaps trying to prove he was indeed not as scared as he seemed just moments ago. Shrugging Trunks eagerly accepted such a challenged and in seconds was off in a quick burst. Bits of dirt and pebbles kicking up by the force propelling him Trunks threw his body behind a single sucker punch. Having been moving in his direction the quick action would all happen so quickly. Within seconds the impact of his fist against the man's skull echoed through the plains as he was hurled into the mob of bandits behind him.

Set back by both the fiorce of catching their leader along with seeing him fall in battle the group would pause for a moment. Then just as quickly as the first another two would try to show courage in front of the rest of the crew. No soon they too were cast aside by a pair of swift punches. Catching their comrades once more the biggest of the men emerged, seemingly appearing from within the small horde. Quickly pummeled down and cast back into the cluster the rest of the bandits seemed to lose their nerve. Suddenly they all turned, either running or being carried by a runner away from Trunks and the their merchant target. Telling the merchant to stay put Trunks quickly followed them, flying behind the retreating cowards. Soon after the mob arrived in front of their hideout, begging for someone to let them in as Trunks followed close behind.

The door clicked, the small notch within it opening up to see who exactly was requesting entrance. While the guard had not seen Trunks the rushed panic from the others did not help the case. Another series of clicks followed the brief exchange of word before the door swung open. The group of bandits rushed into the now open door, knocking the guard to the ground as they all ran for their lives. Not a second later the door would smash back open as it was beginning to shut. The flying mass that was Trunks crashed through the entrance, sending the door off it's hinges as it swung open with great force. Bandits all around hugged the floor of the hideout as the large metal door flew over their heads. Trunks, now standing on the ground as he entered the hideout was surrounded by terrified and partially wounded bandits from the interaction between the time traveler and these ne'er-do-wells who called themselves 'bandits', while in the face of true battle they did little more than tuck their tails in between their legs and run for safety.

Now the once courageous looters were reduced to sniveling babies at his feet. Scoffing to himself in disgust Trunks continued further into the hideout. His presence being notice by some more guards, along with the loud entry. Continuing down the narrow hall Trunks would simply push the defenders back. Either punching them out the other side of the tunnel in one go or slowly grinding them down as he gains ground. Two halls and several dozen unconscious men later the saiyan arrived in what seemed to be the bounty room of the bandits. Several 'Confiscated' goods sat in various bags and crates as Trunks entered the room. However, his brief visit would be cut short as a much more gruff bandit came to greet him in the room full of loot.

Hey big guy. I'm guessing you're in charge here." Trunks said, only getting a chuckle in response.

Balling his hand into a fist once more Trunks screamed, dashing off in a flying rush toward this new enemy. The two traded punches, a brutal back and forth followed by Trunks being slammed to the ground. Then as he was approached by his opponent he reared up, launching a blinding blast of energy at the man before following it up with a roundhouse kick, sending him flying into the corner of the room. The few bandits that had gathered their courage from seeing their official leader back them had long abandoned hope now. A few grabbing a bit of loot before rushing out of the compromised safe house with a haste reserved for life threatening matters.

As he escorted the few unconscious bandits out of the stronghold Trunks would notify the merchant, along with the rest of the town, to the spoils he had recovered. Offering any and all their goods back if they only came to recover it and proved it had been theirs. Shortly after flying back the hoards of opportunists and merchants arrived to recover their goods. The merchant he had dealt with being the first on the scene and having already paid Trunks. Not only offering him zeni for his efforts, but a senzu bean as well. Then he would quickly say his goodbyes, packing up his stuff and disappearing into the horizon just as quickly as he had arrived. All the while the people of the town stormed the destroyed building that housed all their rightful goods. Several people even entering only to rush out with handfuls of goodies before any could notice, all too happy to have gotten their hands on the goodies. Trunks simply chuckled, figuring it was all reacquired and returned to the people in the end. Even if they had been overindulging in the end it was more money that would have without a doubt been put to nefarious use by it's previous owners.

If this mission had any noteworthy affect on the Future Trunks was sure it could only be positive, even if there were advise effects they would likely be rather minuscule. Having done his part Trunks would disappear as he was accustom to doing nowadays. As he was to leave as little a trace behind as possible and would do just such, careful not to stick around long enough to be noticed by any of the citizens.
