Juch: "I was always a supporter of free markets," Juch nodded in agreement with a light laugh. As he crossed his legs, he continued, "Like the open door policy that Grandmaster Adel had implemented. My attitude hadn't changed from then. Like the wounds heal naturally, without any interference." As he reached for his tea again, the doctor looked up, "...you can make things stay like that then?" he asked, though his question didn't carry any implication that Yan could not back up his words, but more of an observation twisted into a question. Yarru: Yan kept his smile, sipping his tea again as he nodded before closing his eyes and taking a small smell of it. As smart as his immature plan was, he felt much more at ease being right and useful. He had a lot to learn about life. His gaze lifted to meet Juch’s. The android was picking his tea up as Yan was setting his down. Their gazes fixed and Yan’s dark eyes carried a calm confidence as did his smile. “That’s what I’m here for.” It was true, in their long tenure of business, Juch rarely set Yan on specific tasks. Yan gave them to himself, setting out across Grace to learn the cultures and the people. He got himself caught back up in Damaskia to keep them away from Grace. While Juch had carefully nurtured Querenci and its future in its space plans, Yan had kept a wider net. There was a reason he ended up exactly where he needed to be the day before. There was a reason Grace had come to him and ultimately trusted him with her fate. He had slipped into every crack her could find in this planet and had made himself welcome. He wouldn’t have considered himself stretched thin, but with Malifore gone, and GRIME on the verge of self destruction, he had even more room to stretch his influence, even if it was only to keep a natural order. Juch: Indeed, Juch's laissez faire attitude extended towards his relations with Yan. The monkey was allowed to do what he wants, as long as the goals aligned up with Juch's. So as the professor peered over his glasses to look at the redhead, the other man stared back. A deep dark pool met a shut window, but the silver haired doctor had a smile of his own as Yan spoke, "...I know," he said simply before finishing the remainder of his drink. It was in this way that they worked well together, even if sometimes their methods would clash with each other. It was a complex game board, regardless. "What's your next move then?" Yarru: As Juch spoke almost reluctantly, Yan’s eyes closed into a cheerful smile. He leaned back and waited for the next question, he gaze shifting back to the door. “I’m going to kill Nonsu and the rest of his group,” he says simply. “They used Daji to make a move against Sun, going directly against our agreed arrangement. After that I’m going to carry his head to Port Delonia and see if I can’t cut in with the forces that had moved against Judif and are scrambling now that everyone else they know is dead~” Juch: At the mention of the murder of Nonsu and his associates, Juch raised his brow, but it was more towards the fact that they had used Daji, "...right under my nose, too," the professor murmured, "Daji was supposed to just stay inside. They must've lured him out..." "...Well, if they were to disappear, I would have no opinion one way or the other," in other words, kill them--then kill them again to make sure they are really dead. Despite all the chaos that was going on, Malifore's presence was one that Juch wasn't going to miss anytime soon, "Do you want backup?" Want, not need. There was no question of ability here. Yarru: Yan made a small face as Juch spoke about Daji. It was a slip from pleasantries and the easy going nature of this meeting. It wasn’t anger or even distaste at what they’d done to the child. It was something more like concern. It only lasted a flicker of a second and then it was gone, and he was smiling again as Juch’s carefully chosen words. “Hm,” he lets out with a small frown though it was still playful. “Nah, I want to be swift and while I don’t think anyone will hold me back...I don’t want to bump toes.” Juch: If Juch noticed the slight shift of Yan's features, he didn't point it out or react to it. He still smiled all the same, "Aha, very well. I wouldn't get in your way then. Do as you wish. When will you head out?" Yarru: Yan leaned forward and took his cup up once more. There was just a bit left and he downed it absently. “Once I dress and...eat…” he says, the final word very obviously not meaning eating food. Knowing Yan it was something a bit more of his bad habit, but he’d had a long day and only a short nap, and he did like to go at these things at his best. “So shortly after you head out. I’m sure as Mr. Mayor you had a busy day ahead of you.” Yan: Combat Rune, Telepathic Link Juch: Combat Rune |
