She had needed to pick something else on another planet and found herself back where she started. With a sigh passing the pinkette's lips, she brought herself to sit down upon a boulder just on the outskirts of a town. Her head hung low as she swung her feet back and forth with boredom beginning to sink in. All of her friends and loved ones were on other planets and she had been left here with nothing to do. It was sudden and yet barely noticeable, but the world around her began to shift and blur around her. Confusion crossed the cyborg's brow as she sat up and turned her head to glance around the changing area. A glow resonated from her pocket, a gem she had picked up a long time ago beginning to activate. It was as if someone was calling her to another dimension and it was really intriguing to her. The rocky area and city landscape suddenly vanished, a vast grassland taking its place; no sign of life in sight for miles away. Her sapphire orbs shook softly at the breathtaking scenery before her and she found herself landing her gaze upon a figure in the nearby distance. It was like the two of them were the only ones alive here as a glowing light shinned around them, signifying that they had called each other to this place. Luka's combat boots pressed into the grass as she took a few steps forward, her arms swinging at her sides slightly as she neared the man before her. Her head gave a tilt to the side as she finally stood before him, a small smile beginning to tug her lips upward. "Hello. Come here often?" She teased, partially poking her tongue out past her lips. Aboard the Decree, a Namekian spaceship, Rhaemon Targos, Paladin of Avalon, was in his meditation chambers focusing on his breathing. A ruby gem as red hot as the raging inferno of Hellio dangled loosely from his neck. The Paladin imagined himself in the center of a vast field of trimmed greenery. The sky overhead was oceanic, not a single cloud could be spotted. The soft whisper of the wind uncurtained his milk-like locks and kissed his ebony skin. This was the perfect place to center himself, he thought. Yet he was mistaken to have believed that he was all alone. "Hello. Come here often?" A female voice called to him. It sounded all too familiar, like the lover he left behind on the Senate steps. He turned his head in trepidation. He half-expected an apparition of sorts, yet to his surprise his purple irises gazed upon a woman with pink hair that snaked down to the small of her back. This was nothing at all like his dearly beloved, whose hair was a brilliant blonde that shimmered in the sunlight. "Yes, usually alone," He mused to himself. His meditation gem often spirited him away to a separate plane of existence. He figured, until now, that it was a private place. It seemed that he was wrong. "Though I am not quite fond of the idea of someone else being in my mind," He jested. "Unless you get a jolly out of entering other men's fantasies." WC: 246 |

The man before her slowly turned around to give her his attention, an almost amused exterior shrouding him. 'Though I am not quite fond of the idea of someone else being in my mind.' She found her eyebrow shooting up at this, curious if that's what was going on. Was she in someone's mind? She figured that they had both left each other's own body and met someplace else, spiritually. Then again, Luka never was the religious type; so she decided to go with this man's idea. 'Unless you get a jolly out of entering other men's fantasies.' A soft chuckle escaped past her lips as her head lowered and her hand lifted to brush her hair behind her ear. "I suppose that I do." She found herself musing the idea and her boots finally planted firmly in the grass below. "Though, I'd have to wonder... Just what those fantasies are, if they've called me here to them." Her arm drifted down to her side in a swift motion, her lips curving into a small grin as she watched on to the stranger before her. "My name is Luka and I'm quite interested in learning your name as well." [dohtml]</div> <div class='luka-words'> 228 / 544</div> </div> [/dohtml] |

"I suppose that I do." Her jubilant laugh sent his heart aflutter but not of her own merit but for the uncanny resemblance it held to his long time love back home on Avalon. In fact, now that he had time to get a good gander at her, her exquisitely lithe physique was similar to his lover's in almost every way imaginable. From bust to hips and legs to lips - he fancied all of her traits. Yet somehow, she still fell short in comparison to what he deemed the full article. "Though, I'd have to wonder... Just what those fantasies are, if they've called me here to them. My name is Luka and I'm quite interested in learning your name as well." "My name is Rhaemon," He gave her a courtesy bow. "Rhaemon Targos, Paladin Of Avalon. And my fantasies consist of a woman who shares a striking resemble to your own." He said in a rather forward manner, complimenting both his new acquaintance and the love of his life. A wisp of wind whistled past his ear and the Paladin's straight silver locks danced with it. He used his hand to gently brush his hair back behind his ear and gave Luka a warm, inviting smile. "Come, let's sit and talk, I have a feeling that I may take a liking to you," He sat on the ground and patted the empty space next to him. WC: 226 TWC: 472 |

Both of her hands cupped at her hips as she tilted her head to the side. "My name is Rhaemon." A scoff of air passed her lips at the interesting name he had given. However, 'Avalon' seemed to set off something in her memory, she recalled meeting someone from there a while back. His fate still wasn't known to her even until this day. "Certainly, Rhaemon from Avalon." She mused and took a few steps toward him; feeling the breeze pushing harder and picking up in pace as she neared his location. She arrived in just a minute and brought stopped in front of a brick ledge lined up across a bridge. With a swift motion, she hopped up and swung her legs over the edge, letting them dangle over the side. A hand lifted to brush her swaying hair out of her eyes as she stared ahead. She took in a deep breath, the clean air making her lunges tingle as she finally exhaled soon after. "I may take a liking to you." She heard him speak up, causing her to chuckle softly and dip her head forward slightly. "You don't say..." The cyborg couldn't help but feel a certain familiarity toward this man, almost as though his soul was connected to someone she had lost long ago. He reminded her of Reiner, her best friend and their now ex-leader of the Mercenary group that she ran in his place. She had to watch him die as he fought to protect her, she almost believed that if he were alive today, he'd likely be someone to quit the mercenary life and join the Paladins of Avalon. Was thinking such things of a dear friend foolish when they were so long gone? Her fingers tightened against the bricks at her sides. It was then that small droplets of water began flying down from the vast blue skies, almost as though it was feeding off their emotions and inner feelings and giving it to the world around them. Now that she was on the mindset of death, she couldn't stop thinking about her husband Tarble. He was off fighting in a battle and she found herself worried for his well being. Then again, to her own knowledge, if someone died, they could never come back. A light frown crossed her lips as she thought about the stupid choices he was likely making and getting himself into trouble. She could only hope that he and his allies would be alright in the long run. It was then that she noticed that her head was laying down against the white haired man's chest, causing her eyes to blink open rapidly as she slowly pulled herself away and snorted at herself with amusement. "Sorry, you remind me of someone so much that I began to feel comfortable. He was like my big brother, you see." Her tongue poked out past her lips partially, in a playful manner. "Certainly, Rhaemon from Avalon." She approached him musingly. Her gait was akin to a Siren's waltz, alluring and provocative yet fierce all the same. Her pink strands of hair bounced atop of her shoulders and curtained down her spine. Rhaemon could not help but wonder how Ganr could create such beautiful creatures. In a fluttering heart's moment she sat down next to the Paladin and swept her legs over the ledge. He stole a glance at them as they dangled over a bottomless ocean and swung above it with liberating jubilance and glee. That was when he muttered that he might take a liking to her. Why? He had to be honest, she was so much like his lover in appearance that it made him physically ill. His heart yearned for her company once more, and he could not help but wonder just how long it had been since he last saw her. Months? Years? He had been traveling with his squire, Dharla, in order to instruct her in the ways of the Paladin. He was close giving her his blessing to take the trials and become a full fledged one herself - yet he was hesitant to do so. Perhaps it was her eagerness to do what she was believed was fair and just. Although that trait was admirable, or outright required for one to call themselves a Paladin of Avalon, it was still a double-edged sword. Rhaemon himself had been far too eager to do what he felt was right, and to seek vengeance for those too weak to do it for themselves. To him, justice was for the public, and vengeance was for the person. But what if the public encroached on the will of the people who sought personal satisfaction for their perpetrator's crimes? To many Paladins he knew took the side of the many and alienated the few. Rhaemon, on one particular mission, chose not to. He rounded up a group of slavers and sold them to a group of Star Wolves who in turn, sold the slavers into slavery. Rhaemon then used the substantial amount of money that he acquired to pay back the victims whose loved ones were lost due to being sold off. He hoped that financial security would have brought them some form of solace or closure. And, since it turned out that the group of slavers that he sold were actually members of the Star Wolves themselves, his fellow Paladins dubbed him with ire "Wolf Eater" due to his decision to take justice into his own hands. Yet to those he gave closure to, they called him so endearingly. He was then assigned to sentry duty for a Senator who specifically requested to be guarded by him. She seemed star struck when she met the infamous "Wolf Eater", and treated him as a celebrity of sorts. It was later revealed that to him that she had taken a liking to him from word of mouth, and although Rhaemon was flattered by her rather forward nature he just could not bring himself to return her affections. But overtime as they continued to be in each other's presence, his heart began to align with hers. Yet when it came time for him to confess, she mentioned that she saw him more as a "brother" than as a lover. A decisive kiss on her lips did away with that. Rhemon did not notice it, but during his musings he had wrapped his arm around Luka's shoulder whilst she laid her head against his chest. She suddenly stiffened and straightened herself up, before commenting on how she felt comfortable due to the fact that she had seen him as a brother. The Paladin's smirk waved off her statement and her cheeky playfulness. He turned to face her, his violet irises shimmered with an otherworldly hue which complimented his unblemished ebony skin. He sensually cupped Luka's chin with his finger as he stared into her eyes. "Do you know how I changed the last woman's mind about me?" His eyes shone with purpose. He would not tell her, he would show her. He dipped his head closer and closer towards Luka's own. Her soft breaths kissed against his visage and egged him on. As close as he was, he could feel her warmth on him and smell her passion fruit fragrance. His seductive act was supposed to have been just that - only an act to tease. Yet as close as he already was to he found it hard to stop himself. A soft hand that was as decisive as it was inviting brushed her hair behind her ear and glided down the back of her shoulder to the small of her back. Only an outer body experience - one in which he saw his lover's disapproving face veered him back on track. Rhaemon inched his lips towards Luka's ear and whispered with all of the pent-up passion owed to his lover on Avalon - "I am no one's brother." WC: 835 TWC: 1307 |

Sapphire orbs widened when she felt their breath skimming across the other's face and when his bright hues glistened before her. "What are..." Her hands instinctively raised to press against the man's chest, attempting to push him away before something terrible had transpired. Luckily, some sort of fate had stopped them before she even needed to. He brushed past her and whispered into her ear, stating that he wasn't a brother to anybody. His words had matched his actions alright and she found herself shivering; not from attraction, more from worry. Tarble instantly flashed in her mind and her loyalty towards him held fast as she scooted away from the albino man at her side. Her head lowered as her strands flew in front of her face, shadowing her features from view. "A true gentleman asks for permission before making such advances, Sir Rhaemon." Her hands moved into her own lap, her index finger and thumb playing with the wedding band that was on her ring finger. She hoped that he got the hint from this, but even if he hadn't or didn't care, she decided to take procautions from now on. Even in a realm where this wasn't the real world, things could still happen out of her own control and she needed to be careful. Despite someone's kindness and playful banter, it was hard to tell if that person had the ability to hold back from making rash decisions. Her lips had parted open then as her eyes glued to her ring as it twisted around her digit. "Well, brother or no, my husband wouldn't take kind to this behavior." The mere mention of her husband seemed to trigger something within her as something elsewhere began to transpire. A sharp pain rang in her chest, to the point that her entire body froze up like ice and her movements stilled. This pain was.... deadly? Her brows began to sweat and furrow as a hand lifted to grip at her own chest tightly. Was Tarble in danger? Her hearbeat increased with speed and intensity while she felt her body spasm slightly due to the mere psyche connection they had with one another. Before she could stop herself, her body jerked forward while her mouth opened with crimson blood spurting out and coating the ground beneath their feet. Shock enveloped her then as she stood up to her feet, startled from the sudden development. "He's dying." Came a whisper from within her own being, Chaos clawing at her insides and hissing at her as a means of almost literally getting under her skin. Ocean colored eyes shook with emotion as she found her head slowly lifting and then her gaze finding the new acquaintance she had met. "I-I can't stay..." Her boots stumbled across the grassy plains as she seemed to search endlessly for the exit that she had entered through here to begin with. [align=center] "A true gentleman asks for permission before making such advances, Sir Rhaemon." [/align] The words the pinkette spoke to him drifted him to a distant memory of when he had kissed his lover for the first time. She had smiled briefly, but then looked away from him and stared down at her promise ring. She was already promised to another Senator. They were childhood friends whose friendship then blossomed into love and sought for their love to blossom into something more tangible. Perhaps into a family. Yet she could not deny her feelings for the Paladin before her. Part of her wish that she had met him first, but she had to be loyal to the man that she promised herself to because in the end he was so much more than just a man she was set to wed. He was her best friend, and his happiness meant everything to her. He had told his lover then that he understood her position, but that if she believed that her heart's purpose was true then there would not have been any conflict within her. The fact that there was any doubt was all the confirmation she needed. And thus, from that day forward, they continued their affair in secret. As for the pinkette, well, he did not wish for her to believe that he saw anything in her that was of her own merit. She was merely a shadow's reflection of what he truly wished to have but of what he had been deprived of for quite some time. "You flatter yourself," The Paladin started as he stared off into the distance. "You are naught but a reminder to me of a woman who possesses greater beauty and whose affections I have long yearned to return again." Suddenly, Luka's body spasmed and lurched forward. A glob of blood spewed forth from her mouth, and the alarms in the Paladin's head began to go off. "I-I can't stay..." The android stood up and declared that she could no longer remain there and in response the Paladin found himself reaching out to her and grasping her wrist. "What troubles you so?" He asked of her, not quite ready to part with her company yet. Selfish desires aside, she looked ill. "You are in no condition to go anywhere," He found himself saying. Did the spirit affect the mind? The Paladin believed that it did. WC: 407 TWC: 1,741 |

If it hadn't been for the pain she was enduring right now, she would have likely slapped him across the face and told him off. Instead, she was stumbling through the thicket of flowers and grass; looking for the exit. Before she could even get far, his fingers coiled around her wrist, holding her in place as she found herself nearly retching blood. "I can... I can feel it." It was as though she couldn't even comprehend the right words to use, without sounding insane. She couldn't just say 'I can feel my husband dying', right? His arm then shifted around her waist, holding her up and keeping her from collapsing right then and there. "Something's not right, I..." Those bright sapphire hues suddenly dulled as her body gave a small twitch. It was as though she was suddenly being sucked through a vortex and looking through somebody else's eyes. She laid on the ground and stared up at a lavender haired woman, clear intent on killing the body that laid beneath of her. 'Uncle' struck clear to her ears and some sort of dialogue related to 'Gods'. Though she couldn't truly understand the context of it all, she realized just who she was speaking with - Tarble. Her arm extended and palm aimed straight at them, a glowing blast radiating at first before being shot straight at the body. Pain and then... darkness. Her view from Tarble's gaze shifted to bird's eye and fell upon her mate that pretty much became nothing more than dust. In the palm of the woman's hand was his eyeball, the blood dripping onto the ground beneath their feet. A little further away laid Tarble's partner, though she didn't exactly know him, she realized that this meant that not only did their plans work, but she just lost the life of her husband in the process of it. And there wasn't any coming back from death. Those dulled sapphires slowly drifted to a close as she felt her body slipping out of the Paladin's grip, her body becoming see-through much liked a ghost. Her time in this realm ended the minute that she seemed to 'die' alongside her husband. Once her body touched the roses beneath their feet, her body exploded into tiny white particles and flew up to the skies; much like tiny butterflies. Everything around her began crash landing back to reality and she would soon reawaken back on Avalon. [dohtml]</div> <div class='luka-words'> 442 / 2,019</div> </div> [/dohtml] |
