Lilim: Combat Rune
Lyra: Beginner's Aura

Lilim
She never left her eye from the latest arrival on the planet. Someone such as this girl, finding herself with far more mental capability, in the land of mortals, when she came from such meager and modest origins of hell itself--Lilim was more than apt to make sure such brand new potential would not be squandered or mis-trained. She relished in that opportunity--she would make sure this one was properly instructed. And thus, Lyra would sense the return of the Demon Queen a moment before the demoness physically arrived, her aura particularly potent even when she tried to suppress it.

Lyra
Due to the adverse reactions she tended to incite in this planet’s natives the young demoness had chosen a largely vacant cave as her dwelling. It didn’t go in very deep so she had no reason to concern herself with something sneaking up on her from within. It wasn’t too far into the mountains and she made sure that it was within easy travel of Master Roshi’s island. She’d taken up receiving instruction from the elder human and it was from him that she honed her instincts to perceive the energy that flowed through all forms of life.

It was due to this ability to sense ki that alerted her to the significant force that was headed her way. When the Demon Queen arrived in all her grandeur the young Demoness quickly slinked back into the dark shelter provided by her cave; as little good as it did at concealing her presence. She did quickly attempt to conceal her presence. It was another trick she’d picked up from the old man. Despite the darkness that cloaked her body those lime colored eyes lit up like torches in the night and they stared upon a familiar form which gave her a moment’s pause.

Lilim
"Such a quaint abode..." the succubus commented, seemingly to herself as she stepped into the cave, her own crimson, burning gaze lighting up in the relative darkness of Lyra's hideout. Lilim was far more used to luxury and decadence, prefering the comfort of her castle over such... primitive solutions. She seemed almost more occupied with Lyra's chosen residence than with the progress of the girl herself, but after a moment, Ruby eyes met the Emerald ones of her true target, her fangs glittering in a pleased smile. "Lyra, darling, thou really shouldst consider a proper abode," the demon queen suggested as she continued to step forward, hand raised as if to invite the young demon to take the hand in her own.

Lyra
Hearing another being speak in the demon’s native tongue would have been rather refreshing for Lyra if it wasn’t for the fact that the sheer power she sensed from the Demon Queen. It was overall oppressive and kept the young demon on edge and wary despite the fact that she knew Lilim had no intention of causing her harm. At least not at the moment anyway. When their eyes connected Lyra was cowed to the point she lowered her head and backed away into a slight crouch like some submissive animal. The way the elder Demon’s fangs were exposed and the extended hand only caused the young demon to cower further. She had no idea what the offered hand was intended for but she managed to choke out a response while she adverted her gaze. “T-this suits my needs quite well.”

Lilim
Lilim stepped forward again, then again, her smile from before replaced with something far less pleasing. Her scowl reached her eyes as she drew close, and continued to do so until she was within arm's reach of the younger demon. Displeased with the display--she could hardly believe the shame of it all... it wouldn't be long before Lyra would feel the claws of the Queen upon her, looking for pull Lyra onto her feet, to get her to stand and look up with some semblance of dignity. "Thou shalt not slink back any longer--stand and embrace thine new power, thine new fate in existence!" she demanded with a hiss, making sure to speak in their shared tongue so nothing would be lost in translation. "Suiting thine needs is not mine concern--it is mine concern that thou embrace thine new destiny! Cease acting like a scavenger your life was, and learn the predator's way,", she demanded, her tone powerful and commanding, as if some intangible force of power and personality lended weight to her words. And then, mayhaps unexpectedly, pulled Lyra into an embrace. "Fear doth not becometh thine new existence. I shall teach thee--feareth me not, for mine is the will that will see you live in glory, not squalor."

Lyra
If Lyra wasn’t fearful before she certainly was now as she could feel the Demon Queen’s displeasure like a rippling throughout her body. Even more so when she felt the touch of claws made contact with Lyra’s flesh. If it wasn’t for the fact that she was scared beyond belief and certain she was about to die she might have even screamed. But she was pulled up to her feet and forced to gaze upon Lilim’s visage. The young Demoness stood there rigidly as she was stuck between not wanting to move and to flee. She listened as Lilim spoke but offered no reply. Instead she remained silent and still even as the Demon Queen pulled her into an embrace. For a split second she expected the Demon Queen to start feasting upon her flesh and not the reassurance she was given.

This pillar of demonic power wanted Lyra to abandon her existence as a scavenger and embrace a predatory path? This was the second time Lyra had heard these words spoken. The first time they were imparted by a red-headed demon that taught her that she was capable of killing her food rather than waiting for it to perish on its own. Then the Demon Queen’s offer of tutelage struck the young Demoness’ ears and made her feelings rather conflicted. It was difficult to tell if this woman was genuine or offering honeyed words in order to lure her further into her web. Regardless Lyra knew that fleeing was not an option. So instead she decided to remain standing there and offering a quick nod of understanding. Losing her fear would take time as would shedding the chains of her previous life.

Lilim
"Mine eyes see thine fear," she whispered, and yet instead of anger or disappointment, there were hints of sadness within the Queen's face--something very few individuals would have seen. Even now, Lyra would feel the sorrow in her elder's soul "When I looketh upon thee, I see myself--what I once was. I took me long years to grow after being born as lust incarnate--such confidence, such power, rarely art granted instantly," she admitted, leaning her forhead against Lyra's. "So much of mine I see upon thee... I... I shudder to think the trials thou art to endure. I want to be there to guide thee and thine," she saod quietly, almost affectionately... there was no deception to be had here--only the raw emotions the Queen of Succubi felt for this one.

Lyra
Lyra’s posture began to relax as the Demon Queen’s words and affection began to chip away at the fearful animal within her. The fact that this powerful being saw any resemblance within one such as she astounded Lyra. The instinct to run began to subside but she remained wary since that was simply her way. “I am nothing more than an insect next to you… how does guiding me provide any boon to your existence?” The young Demoness finally attempted to focus upon the Demon Queen in full as her curiosity began to stir. With her fear slightly diminished the incessant hunger that claws at her from within began to seep through. The hunger was the only desire that truly reigned within the young Demoness. She had no need or want other than feasting and some could describe her as a glutton if she truly cut loose if not for the chains that restrained her from truly giving into it. In fact her very existence was intertwined with it.

Lilim
Lilim couldn't help but scoff, a mixture of a chuckle and a sigh that seemed to convey much and more about what she thought of that statement. It was true--Lilim had spent so much of life taking advantage of others, to make sure she was always ahead of everyone else, that no one got the best of any deal except herself. Generosity and benevolence at this point were almost foreign to a Queen like herself. She was so used to the power of it all, the offerings, the dealings, the position. She almost doubted herself, but she shook her head in the end. "Nay. We all start as but insects and chattle. Even I, so, so long ago. Mayhaps helping thee wouldst provide no boon or gain... and yet, mine eyes still see me many an age ago. Even if thou art to become mine enemy... this time... this time, I assist from mine heart, not mine mind. I... it mayest seem so foreign to thee, but I care not--thine progress shall be made mine concern," she admitted before offering Lyra a smile once again.
