(Combat Rune, Champion2, Gem of Telepathy) She was getting restless... She found herself entertaining the notion more and more, seeking out certain individuals tgat caught her eye, or at least the eyes of her underlings as they skittered to and fro. After speaking with her associate of eld, Dabura... the way he had supported her and encouraged her towards her lofty ideals, there was no mistake... She needed warriors of great value and power under her sway if she was to start her empire within this realm of mortals. Naturally, she could leave the legwork to her daughters, her children of the night, but the actual persuasion would have to come from her own lips. Morgana and a few others could handle such a task as well, but the Queen found herself restless and eager--she wanted to use her hands as well when building such a Dominion. And she so loved meddling... And thus, she attuned her mental prowess to the world beyond, eager to sift through the aether and astral realms, seeking out those that showed some level of promise. She would have to cast her net wide in order to find those that would be ideal for her ambitions... she could find lesser beings to help her with lesser tasks later, of course... but for now, she needed to forge a foundation, to create something that could handle the harshest of oppositions... But where to find such spectacular specimens? Ah, but there was one way... to see whom she met within the dream world. WC: 250 |

(Gem of Telepathy) It had been awhile since Black had done any meditating, that seemed to be so much of what his old life revolved around. But he needed to calm his mind, become one with his body. Taking a deep breath Black sank into the abyss of his mind, the deep dive into the inner workings of his soul washing over his consciousness. In an instant, the outside world faded away, the trappings of the mortal world becoming washed in the ethereal. It had indeed been far too long since he had trained or secluded himself in this realm. It was time to relax and let his mind wander the void. This universe was so different from his own, the chaos that brewed in the ethereal realm was indicative of the universes state of being. If he had still been a celestial he would have felt compelled to act, but his soul had long since twisted and morphed to accommodate the Saiyan shell he resided. These problems were not his own and acting on them would surely cause disharmony with his new host body, harmony that was quickly allowing him to unlock the deep latent potential stored in the fabric of its being.Interestingly enough though there was a slight draw, a force in the astral plane that seemed to pull at his tethered string. That was most unusual, he contemplated the cause and slightly chuckled. A powerful consciousness was prowling the dream world, splitting itself in multiples and scouring… searching for something. This intrigued the Saiyan and he decided perhaps a chance meeting would be worth his time. WC: 267 |

The presence he felt would be nothing short of intensely alluring—such was her draw and appeal, able to call and tap into the heart strings of her prey and underlings. He would find her almost intoxicating to behold as she materialized in the shared experience of their minds, her beauty immaculate as her aura tried to insinuate a drug-like elation. The realm they shared was one of darkness, a calming and soothing moonlight pouring in from above as her new guest would find himself in the courtyard of an impressive castle, built of stone and antiquity—she so loved such things, the romanticism of it all, the nostalgia for the gothic. Statues perched upon the walls around them looked like gargoyles or other demons, and perhaps some of them moved a little to look upon their guest with renewed interest. She emerged from the darkness, amused smirk on her face as she looked towards the one she had stumbled upon, almost as if he had been drawn by her allure and power, her glowing, crimson eyes taking him in. This one… yes, this one had potential, and while his power was barely comparable to her own, she sensed that he was definitely capable of carnage much more impressive… much more succulent. Her demonic wings folded against her back as her tail coiled and flailed behind her, her horns framing her fire-like hair. Otherwise, she bore nothing in the way of clothing or covering—she had no need for such things, modesty or shame, for she was utterly confident in the beauty and radiance of her form and power. Her every movement oozed with confidence and seduction, slowly walking towards him as her eyes looked upon him up and down, as if she could see through his own garments, through to his heart and soul, and her smile widened in delight at what she saw. This one was certainly… unique. When she was close enough, she took a haughty bow for a moment before rising up to her full height again, every motion dripping with sensuality to tempt his desires. ”I welcometh thee, warrior of beyond. Mine names be many, but thou mayest calleth me Lilim—Queen of Demons. Curious how mine eyes come upon thee—mayhaps thou hast heardeth mine call and traveled hither?” she asked, an amused look upon her features as she awaited his answer, eagerly anticipating what he might say, what he might do… My, he was a… prime example. Black smiled as the astral reality warped into a moonlit castle dreamscape. The beauty of its darkness and the layout of the courtyard pulled at the artistic sensibilities of the more refined being he used to be. The being in front of him had materialized from the ether, the fragmented strands of the demon’s essence coalescing into quite the sight to behold. Lucky for Black the normal afflictions of mortal men meant very little to him from his time spent as a celestial. He could tell the being in front of him used her powers of seduction to her advantage, vying on her unsettling but very lovely figure to draw attention away from the tricks of the mind she most assuredly used. This was indeed a very different experience to what he had been expecting. The smiled faded from his face as the Demon introduced herself as Lilim, the Queen of Demon’s no less. “The name is Black your demonic grace.” The response rolled off his tongue as he gauged the entities intent before him. Black had started to unlock some of this bodies potential but he was far from where he cared to be in terms of strength standing before this maiden of darkness. He casually grinned as he took a step forward, being too cautious would only result in the appearance of being weak. “When delving into the dream state your call could not be ignored, it pulled at my mind like a gentle soothing wave washing back out to sea.” Black stopped at arm’s length from the Demon Queen, his eyes locking in with hers. “I felt the need to see why and for what reason someone such as yourself would have to call out and comb the corners of the astral plane.” Black continued to peer into the Queens eyes, placing his hands in his pockets while awaiting a response, his curiosity at the power she radiated and the reason for her presence plagued his mind. He needed answers. WC: 333 TWC: 600 |

Oh, this one was certainly fascinating. She could not help but peer into his own dark eyes, portals into something far greater than his physical form would reveal. There was something... something about his aura that was not altogether normal, but then again, she so hated something as mundane as normal. He was certainly intriguing--and to resist her allure so readily... it was clear he was cut from a wholly different cloth altogether. She could admire those that were truly exceptional... And to use such a graceful metaphor--she had all but abandoned the notion that beings other than the demonic elite would speak with such graces, even if he appeared as a mortal. Nay, his aura radiated something else, but the mixture was so foreign, she could not pinpoint it. Regardless, he was kind enough to introduce himself and his intentions--far be it for her to withhold such information from a polite gesture. She giggled a little as he approached, the both of them staring squarely in the gaze of the other, as if fascinated with each other with intensity that could not be ignored. "Verily--mine call seeketh those worthy of me and mine. The presence of such warriors, including thineself, intrigueth mine mind so readily--ah, but mere intrigue doth not bequeth such extravagance. "I seeketh a singular goal--and warriors brave n' strong to see it be done. I sense that thine potential doth be hidden deep within thine breast--scores n' more work doth be done, verily, to see it brought hither to reality, "But neither thee nor mine own shalt discuss such tidings 'ere the steppe--come hither into mine halls, and we shalt discuss more, as is thine want," she explained, giving him a warm smile before she turned in place--making a bit of a show of it, as always--before her bare feet had her walking towards the massive doors that would lead deeper within the sanctum of her castle. As Black followed the Demon Queen into the castle and left the moonlit courtyard behind, he found it very interesting that every step Lilim took cascaded the façade of this dream world. Each step building what she envisioned as she walked onward. The imagery was astounding and the Queen’s talent and knack for theatrics had not escaped his observations. As the hallway ended they came into a grand foyer, the cathedral ceilings rising high and out of sight. Ancient antiquities lined the walls and fine art from generations long passed would have made many an emperor empty his coffers to purchase. This castle was indeed a sight to behold, obviously delicately crafted by the Queen to impress. The moonlight from outside rippled through the stained glass painting a beautiful hue of colors across the marble floors. Black clapped in obvious appreciation, the power this Demon held to mold the ethereal state of this world was quite amazing, he was truly impressed. But being wowed by beauty was not why he was lured to this place or with this chance meeting with this Demon. There was always a motive and he planned to figure out what her intentions were and what she was desired. Yes, what did this alluring demoness desire. He could probably guess it was she who always asked that question and smiled while taking his hands out of his pockets. “So, your Highness, what is it the Queen of Demons desires most?” Black bowed his head slightly in a sign of respect and continued following Lilim toward the center of the room. The two stopping as he asked his question. “I can only imagine what one such as yourself desires, then again I daresay not many probably ask this.” The Saiyan rubbed his chin inquisitively, his eyes staying locked with the Queen’s. His appreciation for art and the lustre of her halls was appreciated--she could not help but smile greatly at his display of approval, though she hardly needed it. What he probably thought was a trick of the mind, theatrics of the ephemeral sort that held no true value--after all, this was the dream world, where warriors could fight from across the stars, or hold private meetings away from prying eyes and ears. No, this was no mere illusion--this was merely a representation of her truly physical abode in the dimension between life and death--the shadowy realm of her creations. It did not matter what he felt or thought, at the end of things--what mattered was what cause he promised his fists towards, and if she played everything right, he may yet pledge them to her own. He was powerful--and she could see the potential he may yet have in the days to come. But that aura again... she could not place it, but the more she felt it, prodded it from its edges, she was beginning to wonder... She halted when he began to speak his questions, bouncing between his ears in a mental image she found amusing. This one... well, this one certainly knew how the game was played, if nothing else--to find someone strong and naive was truly a rarity, after all. Strength and wisdom often travelled the lands, hand in hand... she nodded her head to him in return, keeping her eyes upon his, though her gaze tended to waver and travel on occasion. He was, after all, quite the specimen and example of masculine... dare she say it? Perfection? No mortal was perfect... But he was getting close. "Dominion," she said simply, a giggle escaping her throat that soon echoed up and down the adjacent halls like a spectre, as if every inch of this place was beholden to her whims and desires. If he were observant, even the shadows would move and morph, as if there was more within those darkest of places than just imaginations. "Excitement. Passion. Adventure. Experience..." she continued, holding the last syllabel like a viper's hiss, finishing it out with a 'hah' sound that soon followed the sound of her fading giggle. "All these and more, mine eyes oft desire. If thou seeketh the heights of physical sensation, I boldly grant them. If thou seeketh the furious fires of ferocious fighting, I boldly grant them. But to rule--to conquer, to dominate--these are the things that weigh upon mine mind the most," she said, her eyes traveling around the room during her speech, as if imagining the sheer planets and stars that could be within her grasp--and as if on command, they stood upon an invisible platform, overlooking the entirety of the Milky Way Galaxy--her ultimate ambitions. "No demon could ever hopeth to conquer Hell n' Lucifer from within--such actions doth require power from without. Hither, upon this collection of stellar stars, I shalt forge mine Kingdom, mine Empire, mine Dominion. To showeth all mortals, the radiant beauty of mine rulership--not to enslave, but to uplift!" she said before looking back towards her guest, looking past her nose towards him. "What other amibitions, mine mind wonders, could be more worthy of mine pursuit than thus? Of course, there art distractions--of the flesh, of the coin, of the mind, of the arm. Mine heart lives for the experience in all things--but ultimately, in finality, I seeketh to rule." Mayhaps that would answer his questions--and present to him the reason why he would be here, of all places. WC: 600 / 1587 |

He now understood what she wanted, it was rather honest coming from a Demon, especially one of her caliber. He could sense no dishonesty but he was also not entirely surprised. Most if not all the demonic craved power and dominion, a place they could rule and influence without the interference of Lucifer. That name resounded with him, the celestials knew all too well the destruction the Dark one had unleashed upon the heavens and how he found his place as the Lord of Hell. This one was intelligent indeed to realize it would be folly to try and usurp his power and dominion directly. The mortal universe had so much to offer in terms of untapped potential. Black surveyed the galaxy as it was brought into focus around them, the worlds and stars circling in their orbits. She wanted this as her dominion a vast goal and she would need the power of others to help accomplish this task. Waving his right hand and rolling over his palm the section of the Milky Way hovered above his hand, the swirling planets and the carved-up quadrant of the galactic powers flickering to life. There were many organizations and entities in this realm that would defy, but they would pose an interesting challenging. As he grew more accustomed to his Saiyan body he grew to listen to its yearnings for power and battle this scenario intrigued him. He was not unaware of the situation he was in, she didn’t care about his opinions or him. She was a Demon after all. What she was after would be a commitment to her cause. He chuckled as he waved the image away and did so with the rest of the room, bringing them back to the foyer that had been in place before. He was after all not unaccustomed to messing with the in-between dimension of light and shadow. He was sure without a doubt she could sense the oddity in his aura, anybody as in tune with the forces of light and dark as she would have been able to pick up on it. Closing his eyes, he projected his twisted past, pulling Lilim into the scene of his body swap, where a future alternate reality of himself had used the mysterious dragon balls to swap his soul with this Saiyans. It just so happened this memory was also the one where that same version of himself was erased by a trio of Celestial Enforcers the likes of which this universe could only dream about. And he could only hope for his sake and the sake of this universe they would not or could not follow him. He cut the vision as he showed himself using his now destroyed time ring. His method of travel to this time and place. He could tell Lilim had gleaned all she needed from that transaction, the zero mortals plan his alternate version dreamed was not something he cared for…. but power, oh yes power he craved. “As you can see….” His voice was no longer polite but business like, the vision of his past having now faded into the shadows. “I am now here, stuck in this universe not my own, in a body that had touched the very powers of the gods themselves…a power which I will continue to unlock in my quest to learn about this universe.” He took another step closer to the Queen and whispered in her ear. “What you propose to do intrigues me greatly….” WC:585 TWC:1,489 |

So that was why he seemed so different than most others--his situation was rather unique in its example, watching as the memories played out before her in this realm of dreams and memories. Just as she could manipulate the environment, what he saw on a whim, so too could he, which was a fortunate turn of events; she liked it when a man could set the pace for himself, even if she was the one ultimately guiding the flow of the conversation. She was offering him a position as part of her own, in her horde, that would sweep through the rival factions, the warring triads, the nations that sought to hold on to their own. She could not fault his desire to showcase his particular brand of tragedy. She took it all in, as much as she was allowed, but just as he might have suspected, she was keener than most. What reason did she have to lie to him--even if he was but a lapdog of the Kai's or the angels, she had no real reason to hide her intentions, as the nations of the universe would have already known of them had they but stopped to think upon what she might detail as an ambition. But what did he yearn in its stead? With these enforces seeking to slay him, his own ambitions removed from the table, what did he desire now? The devil, as they say, was in the details. Did he still desire his previous ambitions--was this a mere stepping stone for his own plans? She ultimate did not care--all she wanted was her own domain, her own kingdom, so that she may yet overthrow the tyrant of the Pit and the Abyss. She tilted her head ever so slightly towards him, the better to hear him with, as he explained himself with his own words--assuredly, they were not needed, but the words had a weight behind them now. Now... it was down to business. The very powers of the gods, the mortal form had touched, and the soul that lived therein wished to grow more, to tap into that kind of power. For what reason, he did not say--he wanted to learn more of this universe, to learn more of this place he was now stranded in. Could she rebuke him? Of course not--if anything, they were quite similar in that regard. But was the purpose of his growth towards some nefarious end, or for its own sake? She hoped it was for the latter--it would prove to be so much more interesting. "If intrigue be thine interest in this affair," she said, her gaze rising to meet with his as her hand rose up to cup his cheek. A singular touch that could drive a man towards embracing lust and passion, but he was something far different than mere mortals or heroes--her charms likely had no effect upon his will. But give a girl a chance--and she'd just be likely to worm her way into your heart anyway. She could not be expected to rely on her powers and aura alone, after all--this one would require far more grace and tact than normal if she were to get him to... to... Well, she pushed that thought aside for now. After all--it was down to business. "Then we hath much to discuss." WC: 554 / 2k+ |

As the Demon queen placed her hand to cup Black’s cheek a foreboding feeling ran through his mind. She wanted minions to do her bidding, she wanted her own piece of the pie that was untouched by either the light or the darkness. A place to make her own and a place to grow her power into the magnitude it would take to remain free of either side. Or crush the Lord of Hell. Black let the thought run through his mind. They did indeed have much to discuss, but that would be in due time he was sure. The being in front of him had no need to rush, he doubted very many mortals in this universe could rival her power let alone defeat her. Subtlety seemed to be a great trait they both shared, she would enact her plan with him or without him. Could lending a hand allow him the trial and tribulation to unlock the hidden potential this body once could muster? The thought was tantalizing, his power had grown this much in such a short amount of time through his trials on Vegeta, joining the empire and running their errands. This he had to admit would basically be the same thing. He bent no knee and swore fealty to nobody, not entirely. It was all a means to an end, to sow his stake in this dimension and to reach the heights of power he once held…no greater power as he was sure the untapped potential of the Saiyan race was more glorious than anything he touched previously. He could without a doubt raze worlds or break the will of a populace to achieve his ends…. why kill them all if you could rule them? A solitary existence was not what he desired. Clearly his time spent here in this place was having more of an effect on him then it would have if he was still a celestial. After all, his race was designed to tap into their primitive nature and act on impulse. He raised his right hand and placed it over the Queens and held it for a brief second. Lucky, it was for him that his mind acted on a higher plane or he would no doubt be curled up with this entity doing as she pleased. He grinned as he removed her hand and lowered it, his hand moving back to his pockets. “I think, we can come to some sort of arrangement in the near future Lilim.” He bowed his head as he turned on his heel, his feet echoing as he walked back toward the hallway where they had entered the room. He took a hand out of his pocket and raised it up in the air in a good-bye gesture. The reality in front of him warping and fading back into the eternal abyss of the astral realm. He could feel her presence linger as he left, she would be following him he was sure…not physically but they would be connected for now. Black opened his eyes, his breath exhaling as he placed the telepathic gem back in the box on his desk. He stood, sweat trickling down the nap of his neck. He could still feel it, the hand on his cheek the Demon Queen had placed….and a brief echo of her voice. “Dominion…” WC:558 TWC:2k+ |
