Soul glanced at Roshi, not liking the fact that the Turtle Hermit was grumpy and currently taking it out on him, but wasn't surprised at the outburst. They weren't on good terms, and Soul's presence made the old man uneasy--not that the Hybrid could blame him.

If a person you didn't know or never met showed up at your house someday, claiming to know you and a technique that you've never spoke of to anyone, or have written documents of it around...and then ask you to perform the forbidden technique?

So, Soul took it in stride, choosing not to answer the old man until the young girl--Ginny was her name, finished introducing herself. He smiled and said; "I'm from a place that's very similar to here, but so different at the same time, and it's hard to explain. Roshi, I didn't walk here, I crawled, and decided to take the scenic route on top of it."

For better of for worse, Roshi ignored him and immediately told him the reason why he was here; his quest being to deliver supplies to an old friend of Master Roshi's located in the desert asap.

Wait...why...why does this sound familiar? I feel like I've heard of this scenario before...

It was puzzling, but with all the clamor caused by Ginny and Roshi arguing, he didn't have the luxury to quietly think about it. Instead of dwelling on it, Soul stayed quiet and listened to what was being said, not saying anything because it wasn't his place to.

After all, butting in a conversation someone has no part of is rude, and even more so when it comes between a master-student, parent-guardian relationship if he was reading it right. That makes it a triple no-go.

"Uh...Yeah? I can protect her if need be, but--"

Soul frowned, not liking that he was put on the spot, and then cut off right after giving his answer.

Now it was getting irritating.

However, Ginny won in the end, and much to the grievance of Roshi, Soul was now in charge of keeping her safe on top of the mission. The Hybrid didn't have a problem with that either because the mission sounded simple, and given his power...what could go wrong?

Ginny headed for the door with Soul in tow, but as she stepped outside, the Blonde was struck with an earth-shattering realization. He remembered! He remembered why this situation sounded familiar!

He stopped, turned to face Roshi and looked him in the eye and spoke loud enough for the Turtle hermit to hear him, but not loud enough for Ginny to overhear unless she was attempting to eavesdrop.

"Roshi, is your friend nicknamed Danni?

His face said it all.

Soul walked out the door a minute later with a slight furrow in his brow, but coughed once and resumed a somewhat smiling expression after seeing Ginny. With a grin, he spoke; "Sorry for the wait, I had to talk to Roshi for a bit about something important."

With that said, he paused and started to rise several feet in the air before resuming; "Can you fly, and do you know how to fight if it comes down to it?"

Ginny was already a couple of meters ahead of the young blond guy and ready to take off, when she stopped again and turned around to look at Soul as he asked her some questions.

“Of course I can fly, silly! My grandfather is a Keliouxian,” she grinned wide, “Mom always sad we could fly before we could walk! Though I’m not sure if she meant that literally…”

With the second part of his question however she started to frown slightly, since the young alien didn’t really understood what he was getting at, “Why would we need to fight? We are just getting this lady some supplies right.” She thought about it for a second but then shrugged and the same happy, carefree grin from before reappeared on her face.

“Sure I can fight! My dad has a martial arts dojo on Avalon! You know he used to train with Master Roshi too when he was my age! And hos father, my grandfather - not the Kelioux one, the one from Earth - was Roshi’s trainings partner when they were young! Well, first they were rivals form different dojo’s but after that they became friends… I know a good bunch of weapon techniques too, but I prefer to use a sword. I got my own personalised katana even, I can show you later if you want, when we get back. Do you use any weapons?” The blue haired alien babbled on and on.

“Come on now! We can talk along the way! We need to get these supplies! Last one in West City is a rotten egg!!”

And without waiting any longer Ginny took off to the sky and set course to the city.

Soul wasn't one to ask about someone's background unless it was a threat to him or people he cared about, and from what he gathered on Ginny's from both her and Roshi's conversation, it didn't fall under that.

Ginny's response to his question enlightened him a bit more on her situation and what she could do, and also explained why she was "strong" compared to most. She had family on Kelioux, she could fly, and was versed in several different weapons--with a katana being the best she was with.

Outwardly, he smiled, mentally, he gave a sigh of relief and thought;

Good, if it comes down to it, she knows how to defend herself...but I hope it doesn't come to what I remember. Different timelines and situations are cropping up randomly, and if this one is like the one I think it is...

An eruption of Ki and a flash of movement knocked him out of his trance to see Ginny hurtling toward West city; her enthusiasm and challenge bringing a smile to his face before he too followed suit. An aura of silver appeared around his body quickly followed by a muffled thump--and he vanished.

Soul reappeared a second later next to Ginny and adjusted his speed to match hers, then asked; "So...mind if I ask a few questions? We could always trade questions, you ask one, then I get one, or something."

Soul's aim was dual-purposed, the first for them to get a bit more familiar to each other and learn a few things; while the second was to pass the time a little easier. To hopefully start it off, he grinned, raised his hand and continued; "You asked if I use weapons...does this answer your question?"

Before he finished his question, he concentrated some energy into his hand and focused; a moment barely passing before a flash of light and the crash of a hammer striking an anvil rang across the stretch of sea they were crossing. The light faded just as quickly as it had appeared, and it revealed a hand and a half sword gleaming a dull-red in his palm.
