”Hotttt…” It was a hot day on Grace. The winter season was approaching but it seemed the hottest days set in before the drastic dip. With the weather running naturally these days it still had a lot of rebalancing to do after Grace’s many whims. It was technically fall. The leaves were starting to change color from green to red and then quickly to brown but today it was hot. Shin had just finished the newest training regime Daji had set out for her. She had managed to gain some sense of balance but her basic movements were still lacking. Every so often she would have that moment of instinct where her body would move without her mind in an almost perfect form, but it still felt like flukes or maybe just lucky tries to what she was already trying to master. Whatever it was, it didn’t happen often enough to mark as improvement. Actual improvement was somewhat slow, but not unnaturally so. She was not gifted or overly exceptional in her learning pace, but she had resilience, sometimes too much so. ”Shishou,” she said, looking up to him as her hands held onto her thighs in a slightly hunched form as she regained her breath. ”How about training in AC, or underwater, or in the arctic?” 217 |

Warmth was something that Daji never had a problem with--if anything, he really disliked the cold, so the heat of the day, despite the changing of the seasons, was something the Kitsune had relatively enjoyed, especially during a day of training. The heat was just as much of an element for training as anything else, and it reminded him of the trials one had to put their body through in order to improve. That and the amount of water one would need to drink to stave off the threat of dehydration. Without even thinking, he had tapped another one of his blue-colored runes and made a single hand gesture before the bucket he had brought filled back up with water again. He retrieved the ladle from the side of the bucket again to drink from the bucket before passing it towards his student, Shin, who seemed a little out of breath from the heat and training. "The weather is a vital part of training, too, you know--but it is a little warm today, huh?" he said, looking up towards the sky now that the sun was in the middle of the heavens, as if he just now noticed it. He shook his head before giving his student a warm smile--he knew she preferred the cold over the heat, but training was all about pushing one's limits. "If you train in a comfortable environment, your body will be too eager to just relax instead of pushing its limits--besides, you need to drink more water," he said, gesturing towards the bucket and ladle for her to drink from it. She really shouldn't be drinking so much soda... "Underwater, though... maybe a little bit of swimming training would do well. The tide is coming in, so the ocean will be particularly choppy--that would make for some good training, I'll admit," he compromised, that smile spreading a little further when he thought about catching fish for Hayami to cook for dinner. He had yet to invite Shin over to their home for dinner yet, not to mention introducing the two of them, but maybe this would be a good way to do so. "But just because you're in the cooler water doesn't mean you get to skimp out on hydration--drink your fill, you won't be able to tell how much you're sweating while swimming, so better safe than sorry!" He wasn't going to let this particular thing go until she drank at least a bit more. Then they could go for a dip. 423 |

Shin took the drink absently, taking a slow sip as to not choke upon her somewhat labored breaths. She didn’t hand it back to him though continuing with more sips even as her gaze lifted back to her master. She did like soda, but she liked tea more, wasn’t that just water seeped in goodness? It might ruin her life a bit to find out too much black tea was bad on the kidneys, but then again, the amount of alcohol she consumed showed she gave little care for her liver. On that note, she was actually very good at knowing how to stay hydrated, even if it didn’t always seem as such. Despite its appearance, her body wasn’t an earthling’s, or even a Gracelander’s. It functioned a bit more complicated than all that. Even her aversion to heat was less about the heat and more about the comfort training in a cool room provided. She did like her comforts in just about everything. ”If it’s eager to relax, shouldn’t fighting against that be more challenging?” she asks with a raised eyebrow, obviously just trying to be argumentative before she took another happy gulp and offered it back to him. It was then he found something to agree upon, talking about swimming in the ocean. Her face immediately lit up with happiness and excitement, though her eyes told of a similar thought process to Daji’s: The ocean meant fish. He pushed the bucket back to her however which made her pout. She took it, and once more in a fit of childishness, lifted it up to gulp down the whole bucket as quickly as she could. The end result had her cheeks puffed out like a chipmonk’s, and after managing two more gulps she spit out a large chunk of it out. Don’t look to her in times of drought. She had at least drank three fourths of it. ”All gone! Let’s go!” she manages though once more her breath was caught from all that drinking. Either way, she was already off and running towards the beach. 347/564 |

Daji shook his head a little at her protestation--she was being argumentative on purpose, even if wasn't readily apparent. It was true, that fighting against the body's willingness to relax could be good for training in certain ways, but the ways she wanted to improve were not them--in times of strife and survival, having the strength to survive the harshness of the galaxy meant she would have to endure a lot of uncomfortable things... still, when she started to gulp down the water, he nodded to her in approval--at least she knew to take him seriously when it came to-- When her cheeks swelled up like a chipmonk's, gulping down what water she could before spitting out the rest, he felt one of his own cheeks puff up from irritation in an almost comical look--she knew what he had meant by it, but she wanted to rush through his conditions just to get what she wanted from the beginning, even if that meant fibbing about the water being gone (it was not, but Daji decided to drain the rest of it himself anyway, just so it wouldn't go to waste)--but he found himself sighing in defeat when she dashed off towards the beach. Well, he did agree with her about training in the water, so he might as well be thankful she went along with that plan as eagerly as she had. Once he drained the last of the water into his own mouth, he took off after her towards the ocean's edge, peeling off his own sweaty training shirt and his training shoes, so they wouldn't get ruined by the salty water. As resilent as his training gear was, it was probably for the best they didn't get salt water soaked into everything--not to mention, it would just make more work for Hayami when she insisted on cleaning them herself--so he removed the rest of his training outfit as well, leaving him dressed in nothing but his own skin, his fox tail waggling in the wind as the tide came in, larger waves of water crashing onto the shore with their usual roar. The air was hearty and sharp from the salt, and the sea spray already felt far different than the pervasive heat of the Ki-created sun above them, so maybe he needed this bit of a break as much as Shin did--with the state of the water, however, it was pretty clear things might get dangerous. "Here--before you jump in," he said, tapping onto one of his blue runes, the etched symbol for water glowing with power for a moment before he touched Shin's collarbone with his hand--and while her chest may feel a little odd at first, there was a reason for this precaution. "There--this will allow us to breathe under water for a little while--abot an hour. That way, we won't drown if the waters get rougher--this is about fighting against the strength of the ocean itself and keeping your bearings while we hunt for some fish! I'd rather not risk an accident," he said, smiling and nodding to her, satisfied with the precaution he was taking to ensure their safety. WC: 528 / 951 |

Shin stopped at the waters edge, already removing her boots so she could dig her toes into the hot sand. It was actually too hot so she quickly hopped over to the wetter parts, letting the tide catch at her ankles. Despite her eagerness, she was still waiting for her master, not wanting to upset him any further, and when she turned to find him butt ass naked, well, he did get a singular eyebrow raise. That was it though. There was no sudden discomfort or awkwardness, though Daji might feel some because unabashedly her gaze went straight down to his should be private parts before she gave an approving and likely appreciative nod. Nudity did not have to equal sexuality, but that didn't mean certain views wouldn't be taken. She grinned either way, airing out her own shirt before absently pulling it off. The brassiere had to come second, as it wrapped tight and firm around her chest, not quite binding but making her movements easier. She had a pretty large bosom, enough to make her back ache on certain days, so she had to admit it was more beneficial to her this way. It was, but it still felt like such a relief to remove it. "Freedom~" she says happily before bending down to remove the rest. As she stood straight again Daji was reaching for her which first caused a blink, then raised brows before she grinned again in a laugh as her cheeks tinted ever so slightly. He really was such an innocent guy. Not that she minded. It was quite endearing. It did seem like she was always dancing the spectrums with people she met however. They always seemed to be completely disinterested in that type of thing or overly interested. The reminder of the latter almost made her roll he eyes. She didn't really mind those types either in all honesty. Daji explained his action, which made her instantly catch air in her cheeks, puffing them out once more as if testing whether she needed to breathe at all now. It wasn't easy to tell since her lungs wouldn't give protest for quite a while, a while she didn't have the patience to wait for. Plus he confirmed they'd be fishing which released all air through her teeth as she grinned again. "Panther Clan stuff?" she asks with a small curiosity. The runes he used were interesting even if she brushed them off most times as unnecessary and Daji being overly cautious. She probably didn't need to ability to breathe underwater considering the ability of her lungs to hold a lot of air, but the idea of magical gills was still pretty cool. She waited for an answer before waggling her brows, and running once more for the water. She dove into the first big enough wave only to still be in shallowish water to stand again. It was rough. The next wave came quick and was broken early, but she was content to dive on through until she found fishes. 507/1071 |

Daji had been rather preoccupied with his own clothing and preparations, only catching a glimpse of where she was looking, but he did not think much of it--after all, he did not feel all that awkward about being naked around people--in fact, when he first met Hayami, he had been naked back then too. Of course, his mind suddenly remembered some of the talks he had had with Uncle Chishan, Hayami, and eventually, Yan about the subject of nudity--everyone seemed to have a different take on the subject, with some thinking that showing one's nudity was a sign of eagerness to mate. Really, Daji did not really feel that drive when it came to Shin-- --But when she was finally undressed as well, the Kitsune could not really help but look her over as well, finding her fitness and health rather charming as well. Something about her curves was visually appealing, and while nothing changed about his exterior, he did find himself admiring her body a little--thankfully, Hayami was away on a trip, and he was only loosely connected to her emotions and feelings. Only the most harsh or powerful of emotions would seep through to one another--but then, why would either of them be offended or worried about this sort of thing? Daji felt his own cheeks burn a little brighter now--he wasn't really sure what to feel about... nevermind. When she inquired about the runes and the techniques involved--particularly if it originated from the Panther Clan--he gave her an enthusiastic nod. "Yes--it was one of the few techniques I could learn from them from the old scrolls I managed to find. The rest I had to fill in myself," he said, fairly neutral--he was both pleased at himself for finding a way to make the runes work the way he wanted them to, but at the same time, it always felt like there was some secret or trick to them that he was probably missing--something that could have been clarified had they still been around... He shook his head before catching her waggling eyebrows, his own knitting together for a moment in confusion before his cheeks blushed a little--Yan had done the same thing when implying Hayami and Daji were mating, and it coming from Shin... well, he wasn't completely sure what to think of it, and once again, he found himself admiring her backside as he watched her dive into the water. Well... she was rather attractive, he had to admit, but he did not feel anything strongly sexual either. Still, this sort of activity would be good in forming a stronger bond between them, even if they didn't mate, at least, that's what a few of his Masters had said in the past. This should be all normal, he thought to himself. He then dived in after her, breaking through the shallow portions of the ocean to push towards the regions where the more plentiful marine life lived. Grace tended to have creatures both big and small, so the bigger the fish, the bigger the reward for catching it, so he set his sights on whatever would be big enough for a good meal. Once again, as he swam underwater, he looked towards Shin and... well, he had to admit, she did seem really attractive, pleasing in many places, but he forced his gaze back forward to the subject at hand. When he approached a deeper part of the ocean shoal, he felt his lungs take in air as he swam, despite the fact that he would normally be breathing in water--less like gills, and more like the rune's energy translating the water into regular air for him to breathe. It would be just as easy to breathe as it was in open air, no moisture in the lungs or anything like that, which would immediately assist in making sure strong strokes could be used when needed. But once they were in a more populated area, he slowed down in order to keep himself from disturbing their prey--indeed, there were fish of various sizes and weights, so all it would take was the patient--and swift--hand to catch what they desired. As much as this was for the joy of eating their favorite food, this was just as much training as anything else--catching fish in such rolling, chaotic waters would be a task on its own, and that was what the Kitsune was planning--he wanted to make sure Shin got as much as she could from these training sessions... He nodded to her when they neared their target, signalling that the hunt was on. WC: 768 / 1719 |

Here and now, naked on a beach with an attractive woman who Daji had also gotten to strip...Yan would probably be proud. For the most part, the monkey gave the fox these words of advice on nudity because on some planets it was a crime to run around bare and the last thing they needed was for Daji to get arrested (again). Yan had likely the least modesty of all those who have conversed with the fox on this subject but here Daji was and it was still perhaps good luck the woman in front of him didn’t knock him out for indecency. (Just imagine if he did it in front of Jantellovene.) Shin on the other hand was quite smug. Her grin had turned crooked and somewhat devious but it she was still obviously quite pleased. Daji wasn’t exactly gawking, nor looking at her in a way that felt invasive or demanding, not that she would have minded that either. His gaze was soft but lingering, and his cheeks flushed in almost confusion. Yep, his innocence was quite endearing. It reminded her of an earlier conversation, which might have made her grin get a little wider. Still, when she waggled her eyebrows it was only meant to be playful, a dare, or a show of recklessness before she ran off into the waters he was already being paranoid over. His gaze kept on lingering. The water was almost a shock in comparison to the heat. Since the weather hadn’t been consistently hot, the water felt freezing on her bare skin but even that was a relief. When she rose up once more, the sun beat down on her dark hair and tried to dry up the salt quite quickly. Once she got out into deeper waters she forgot for a moment about her quest for fish and floated on top of the tumbling waves so she could feel both the heat and chill. That only lasted so long however, because the sea was filled with fish, and one eventually swam by. Like a kitten flailing at a toy she immediately rolled over with a heavy splash. She was still more the wild cat though, and once she got the creature in her midst her teeth dug in unceremoniously. It was then she realized she’d lost Daji, at least for the moment. She tossed the fish with a good amount of strength back to the shore, also a bit unceremonious, before she slid back underwater. This time she was graceful. She caught onto the tide and let it pull her deeper under, rolling gently out of it with the smallest of movements. Unlike Yan she needed no teaching on how to be quiet or limited in her movements. She took this a bit more seriously as she cared a bit more about food. Well, it should have been that way, but her attention was only so stable. She found her shishou and caught up to him from behind. Her gold eyes could see quite clearly even through the salt and dirt. He had a strong back, tensed just enough so that he could spring at the right moment. She watched it as she stilled herself in the water until he turned and brought her gaze back up. Her nose scrunched into another grin that threatened to get water in her mouth before her attention swayed back onto the fish. It was only then that her face got serious. She ignored the schools, and the obvious prey, keeping quite still herself as she seemed to be waiting for something. She still had a bone to pick with the super gravity fish. 611/1682 |

In a stream or lake, her rapid movements towards one of her prey probably would have upset the school--but thankfully, their movements were masked by the already tumultuous waters they were daring to swim in. Normally, he would have been concerned about this, since rough waters could trap a swimmer underwater without a way of getting more air--but as it was, they were in relative safety with the ability to breathe within the water. He caught her smile, as a little odd as it looked and he mimiced it a little. He had to admit, he was excited about getting some fish to eat today as well, turning his gaze back towards the lingering school as it shifted and moved with an apparent coordination that spoke of an almost hive mentality--this was false, however, as anyone with a keen eye would know that the fish in the middle and the back were merely following the ones in front of them, while the lead ones were paying relatively close attention in order to guide the school away from threat. Naked as the both of them were, they would more easily hide within the dirt and salt, unable to be smelled until it was too late-- And the school approached closer and closer until they were within grabbing distance, the kitsune pushing himself quickly forward almost like a bolt of lightning as both of his hands clasped around on larger fish and his mouth grabbed onto another. He carried that speed upward, letting the rolling tide push him around a few times while he wrestled with the slippery things until he broke the surface, tossing his catch towards the beach before diving back down a bit more calmly and fluidly--like the fish, one had to learn had to move with the waves. When he descended back down towards the water, his keen eyes picked up on a pair of larger shadows--the kind of fish that Shin had dubbed the 'super gravity fish' or something like that. Now those were very large--it might even take the both of them to pull just one of them out of the water, but if they could... he gestured towards her again when he looked at her--with a quick glance towards the rest of her body for a moment before he was able to refocus on the task at hand--gesturing towards one of the larger fish with a smile. Maybe today was a good day to really go all out. WC: 413 / 2k+ |

And so they hunted. Shin was much better at this than her basics, a bit of instinct kicking in as she moved much more fluidly through the water. It should have slowed her, but she moved with the tides with exceptional ease, almost more comfortable in the water than on land. The super gravity fish was easily twice their combined sizes, coming to the more shallow waters at specific tides to chow down on the schools that played here. Between the two of them they could definitely take one down, and if there was any question about eating such a large beast, Shin already had a firm answer. She was going to eat it. (She helped catch smaller more recognizable fish as well in case the big one tasted like crap.) And so passed a productive afternoon. If it weren't for the fish Daji probably wouldn't have gotten the snake out of the ocean as she went back to floating against the harsh waves in almost a game. Her stomach rumbled however. Nothing killed carbs so unknowingly like swimming. She practically raced to shore with this in mind, but ended up laughing again as she reached the shallow water and the tide fought her tooth and nail to keep her in the water. Once more her form was fully visable and she pushed her hair back before being smacked once again by a wave. It was hardly a majestic scene. She looked like a goof, a beautifully naked goof. It was perhaps part of her charm. When she looked back to him her face was once more lit up in nothing short of pure happiness. As she reached the dry sand her face switched to a catlike mischief once more."You'll cook it right?" she asks with a wide and hopeful grin. This, of course, was a much bigger priority to her then nudity or some kindling attraction. 318/2000 |
