It was always a phenomenon when the saiyan's curiosity reaches it's boiling point. It had been weeks since the first round of Magma III had concluded during which he'd stumbled upon an intriguing piece of information..or rather an interesting person. A woman named Bulla whom had provided her number, but then never picked up when he attempted to reach out. Normally, this is where any man would give up and move on and Ticho was no different, but she'd left him a small clue that left the scholar intrigued. She'd made mention of belonging to an organization that specializes in hunting formally known as GRIME. For the past few days, the saiyan had spent what little free time he had searching for information on this supposed group of hunters. At this moment, he found himself empty handed but still had a few people he could try asking. Reluctant to take this to the grandmaster, the saiyan decided to start with a professor with whom he'd become good friends. It was a longshot, but this particular instructor had proven to be quite the well of knowlegde. Having reached the android's office, Ticho gave a light knock. "Professor Juch. Are you in?" WC: 200 |

The tournament was an interesting distraction; while it had some merit, to Juch it was still a distraction no less. He had other things to take care of in the meantime, and the other various battles that were broadcasted on the various monitor screens that were scattered all over campus were promptly ignored by the old doctor. Grading papers, for example, needed more of his attention. The red ink danced over the questions and the answers, overlapping the black and blue of the written word with thoughts of his own when there was a sudden knock on the door. Juch looked up, checking the various hands on the clock above. Hm, it wasn’t time for office hours yet, was it? He couldn’t have lost track that badly could he—it was then that a familiar voice squeezed through the cracks and fluttered over to him. Ticho? Juch turned his gaze over his shoulder, “Yes, come in,” he spoke back as he turned back to the last comment that he wanted to write down. It’d take a few more moments, so when the Saiyan Scholar opened the door, he would find the android still scribbling away. Juch Word Count: 195 Total Word Count: 195 |

An invitation to enter was promptly provided and the young saiyan gently opened the door. He'd learned from past experience that most professors were pretty busy during office hours and sure enough Juch was scribbling rapidly. Ticho allowed the android to finish writing on his current paper before making his inquiry. "I've recently learned of the existence of an organization that might be able to help me locate a person of particular interest. The details I've come up with so far have been lacking despite the wealth of knowlegde maintained by this academy." The scholar cleared his throat as a slight tension washed over him. He felt as though he might be onto something big, though logic led him to the conclusion that it was probably more likely his desire to learn overwhelming him. It certainly wasn't the first time after all that he went on a scholarly rampage. "I know it's a longshot to ask, but you are definitely one of the more knowledgeable professor's at this academy. I wouldn't be surprised if you get out a lot more too. Have you ever heard of an association by the name of GRIME? " |

Juch’s pen slowed to a stop as he finished one of the remaining comments that he wanted to ease off from his mind. There were still many others within that noggin of his, but with the sound of the door opening signaled the end of his grading for now. As he set the pen down and swiveled around in his chair—the movement ruffled the bangs that covered his forehead, but the android folded his hands in his lap as he leveled his gaze at the Saiyan that entered the room, “Hello, Ticho,” he greeted the younger man, “How may I help you?” The resulting inquiry shifted Juch’s posture as he thought about what the Saiyan started off with. A person of interest? Was Ticho trying to find someone…? However, the next few sentences that he pointed towards Juch made the android pause. GRIME, was it? Just where did Ticho hear of that? The professor smiled, “GRIME, you say?” he murmured, “That’s not a name that you hear often.” “It’s a type of underground music group somewhere on Earth, from what I’ve heard, but I don’t think they would be able to help you with that person of interest,” Juch tilted his head, “Why would you need to ask this group to help you? Would you mind telling me who this person is, exactly?” Juch Word Count: 224 Total Word Count: 224 + 195 = 419 |

Showing himself knowledge as always, the android pointed out that there exists a music genre on Earth by that name. Ticho had indeed uncovered this bit of information in his research which he doubted most of the inhabitants on this planet would be able to present. Still, the saiyan had chosen his words carefully. While it was still quite possible Juch knew nothing about the group in question, he'd made a noticeable error. Knowingly or not, he had partially sidestepped the question. "Indeed, I've uncovered that genre of music in my findings. I even listened to a few songs, not really my cup of tea. That said, the organization in question is one formally known as GRIME according to one Bulla Briefs." The scholar gave Juch a moment to respond or react to this new information. He wanted to analyze the professor's mannerisms carefully to discern whether he was hiding something or if he was simply overworked and had simply glazed over the fact that Ticho had specified that he was asking about an organization. "We met during one of the Magma 3 bouts. She seemed pretty cool and suggested that she might come visit. She even gave me her phone number, but has yet to respond to any of my attempts to contact her. She introduced herself as a representative from the aforementioned hunter's association." 226 + 193 + 200 = 619 |

Juch’s gloved hand served as a basin for his cheek to rest in as Ticho appeared to have knowledge of that particular music group as well. Well, good—he did do his homework before coming to see him about something like this. He hadn’t listened to the actual music himself—it had little to do with his interests. The android’s smile widened a little at the mention of Bulla Briefs. Oh, it was her now, wasn’t it? Loose lips are always so bothersome. Why was it so difficult to keep something under wraps these days? “Bulla Briefs, you say?” the professor repeated with a raised brow, “You think she is at all related to the Capsule Corps family? Although I do hear these days that there have been a few disappearances here and there; alas.” His voice remained as soft as ever, never rising above its usual octaves and cadence as he continued to listen to how the Saiyan met Bulla. It was during the tournament now? Well, that was a reasonable claim to make. Bulla did enter the tournament as well, “And yet she hasn’t returned any of your calls? Mm, that’s strange. You would think that she would, after giving you her contact information. Perhaps she is distracted by all the fighting.” There could be a million reasons to speculate why Bulla would be so hard to reach these days, but that wouldn’t be very constructive to Ticho’s inquiry, “If finding this…GRIME organization is rather important to you, I can take a look during my free time. If I come up with anything, I’ll let you know—how does that sound?” Juch Word Count: 273 Total Word Count: 273 + 419 = 692 |
