What had Barkley been doing? Nothing to be honest. She hardly survived that demon attack. She should not have ever gone with Zyren and Elijah. Zyren was powerful, and she vowed to get powerful just like him or even more. No. She aimed for a higher ceiling in her mind; her father. She would get to his level and that was when she felt she was stronger than god himself.

That may have been a little exaggerated, but she marveled at her dad’s strength 100% of the time. She was now in transition to go to the next master, but decided to meditate in the comfort of her room. While she did that, her mother stood outside the door a bit worried. Lately, Barkley had been pushing herself, and avoiding assistance from Anna or Yan. That was a personal decision that Anna would not interfere with, but she would not allow her child to fall.

Anna went to the living room of their Earth home and she sat down on the couch. What had she been doing? Work. She was trying to get Barkley enrolled into the Academy to at-least keep tabs on her and also get her in on this nice education, but Barkley claimed she wasn’t ready yet. As Anna sat there for the moment, she closed her eyes and entered her daughter’s mind. It was time for them to train.

As Anna entered Barkley’s mind, both of them stood in an arena and Barkley looked about. Her red hair bounced as she analyzed her surroundings. She saw that it was empty and rose an eye brow at her mom. “No spectators?”

Anna shook her head. “Hey, today I am going to conjure up a RBC unit for you to spar against…. Matter of fact.” Anna bit her lip a bit as she thought about it. “This one is someone I never got to know well, but he is my brother…”

“Mom, you have a bro—well yea you have a lot of brothers and sisters, but you have special ones is what I’m askin’ “ Barkley chuckled a little bit. It was silly for her mom to talk about a single brother when she had so many of them. This one must have been special.

Anna nodded. “His name is Jeremy and he is my mom’s favorite. I don’t know where he might be, or…if he is even alive…”

Barkley frowned as she felt the sadness in her mom’s voice. “Well, go ahead and conjure him up so I can beat on him!” Really, she wanted to get a feel of who this was… Barkley was thinking it would be cool to track him down. Not just for her mom, but simply because Barkley wanted to meet the uncle. She got into a stance and Anna nodded while beginning the conjuring.

“Okay, don’t take him lightly… like at all…”

He didn't need his hands.

He didn't need his feet.

All he needed was his mind. Directly connected to his ship through wiring and machinery, everything about the vessel could be controlled directly through his internal hub and processors. There was no need to manipulate the physical ship itself, not unless it was required, and he certainly had no need of something as useless as life support--he could see in the dark just fine through viewing the various spectral vision scopes he possessed, he required no oxygen to breathe, and he certainly did not require something as aesthetic as gravity--locked into his seat and connected through ports, he was one with the ship. But even the ship had limitations--after all, there was still a lot of downtime before he reached Omega to finally confront Unit Orion--currently the leader of the Legion's splinter group.

Rubic, Chishan, and Pan had made it their duty to remove the threat of the RBCs--the Steel Legion--from this galaxy, at least as long as they posed a credible threat to other planets and especially Earth. Destroying the central network had, for all intents and purposes, a mistake--they had hoped that sending a signal through the central network before destroying it would make sure that all RBC units would self-destruct... but that had not been the case. So many had some how managed to filter out the signal, or they had never received it entirely. Those that Queen Aria found were quickly forced to conform to her faction, and Rubic merely destroyed those that he ran into--unfortunately, most were beyond salvaging or forcing to conform. Many had lost sight of themselves and their functions, boiled down to partial segments of operational code. What once was a innumerable legion had been boiled down to a scant few remaining.

But those that remained were still being found and hunted to this day. Aria seemed almost... negative, that was not for this unit to decide or hypothesize. He was merely operating under his own directives now. He could not set foot on Earth, or risk being destroyed, so he had to protect it--as well as all sentient life--from the threat of a rising Steel Legion threat from afar. That was why the threat of Unit Orion was so severe--he controlled three dozen RBC units, solidified his own internal network, and established his base on a satellite known as Omega. He was beyond Unit Aria's control now--they had to be deleted.

His wireless node flickered with an incoming signal--his body did not move a single iota. Everything was controlled through his central processor, so there was no need to do something inefficient as recoil in surprise and alarm. Reading the header of the signal proved beneficial--the command signal that Aria possessed had been passed down to her progeny, Princess Unit Anna, though whether she was conscious of it or not... once again, that was not for this unit to speculate.

Through the darkness of one side of the arena, metal feet stepped upon the ground as mechanical hydraulics moved a particular unit forward. He was not like most RBC units--not anymore. He had a brush with the future--he had Pan to thank for that. She had made sure to repair him with technology and hardware from the far future, and while his physical appearance was more-or-less similar to a regular RBC unit's, it was clear that he underwent several modifications. Namely a humanoid face, though it seemed devoid of emotion, his grey eyes all but dead--but his body's movements seemed to betray the alacrity of his central processing unit. He was very much alive.

"RBC-411 Reports. Please identify." he spoke, in a voice that sounded almost human, though there was a metallic tinge to it that would betray his origins all the same. Some things just could not be replicated by technology--nor was it technology's purpose to replicate them. For whatever reason, certain portions of his programming tried to do just that, so whether or not he succeeded was up to interpretation. His eyes looked between Anna and another person--one he did not have personality profiles for, before he looked back towards Princess Unit Anna.

“RBC Unit 5k1, Anna Rondown and this…well Jeremy, this is your niece. Barkley say hello.”

Barkley wasn’t too shy of a girl at all. She warmly smiled while taking a few steps forward on the arena floor to get closer to Rubic. “Hello, I am Barkley Cass. I guess you are one of my many uncles in this world, huh? Wow, a robot…that is pretty humanoid. This is pretty awesome. I have a robot uncle.”

She knew that she had more uncles in the world, but this uncle was a special one. It was the favorite child, or the first one that her grandmother knew and loved. This made him that special uncle. “Even so, I think we should state our purpose. I am training to be a better figher. So, I’m fighting you.”

Barkley gets into a pretty basic fighting stance and turned her head to her mom. “You can back up now.” With that being said, Anna took a few steps back and she looked to Rubic. “Get to know her a little. She likes to fight.”

Barkley grinned and turned to Rubic, and she waited on his response most respectfully.

The robotic combatant looked towards Princess Unit Anna, noting her introduction as a child unit of Unit 5000--he showed no visible recoil at being reminded of that fact, for that was all the introduction was: a statement of fact. Even in her youth, she seemed to be aware of her origins--that mattered neither here nor there, however, as the young woman beside Anna stepped forward, introducing herself as Barkley Cass, stating that she was a niece...

The android paused for a moment, referencing the nomenclature. The use of that signifier meant that Barkley was a child unit to Princess Unit Anna--which meant some of the rumors and data extracted from now-destroyed RBC units was at least partially accurate: Princess Unut Anna was just as capable of offspring as Queen Unit Aria. Aria could interface directly with the network, but was that a capability of Anna and Barkley? Unknown at this time.

Regardless, Barkley expressed that her intention was to train and grow stronger, which revealed the true purpose of the wireless call. The purpose did not matter, as the command signal was to be obeyed above all else--the purpose just did not matter. The android looked towards Barkley for a moment, various scanners taking in her strength and biological development before looking towards Princess Unit Anna.

"Subject exhibits anomolous biological readings. While the subject is suitable for combat training, she appears to be from a segment of space-and-time inconsistent within our own," the robotic warrior stated aftet his scan was complete. "If parameters are acceptable all the same, this unit will activate training protocols and restrict lethal armaments."

There was a simmering heat rising around the arena and pooling towards the young red fireball known as Barkley Cass. Her hair almost seemed to glow as she charged her own power to a certain height. Her eyes focused on Rubic and she nodded at his declaration of non-lethal weaponry. He was analyzing her, and he was doing it pretty correct. Her body was made through snaps through dimensions rather than time itself. She was at a certain age that was not possible through normal time restraints. Her mother grew differently, and it was seen in her blue irises that were stained with red circles.

Both Anna and Barkley were different than they had ever been, and this was especially so for Anna. But enough about Anna, this was Barkley’s story. She took a thrust forward and a simple punch was thrown in the direction of Rubic to start off their encounter and it took aim at his chest.

The subject's power spike was relatively short of what most might call impressive--she seemed to possess a level of raw talent that was consistent with those of her relative bloodline--though he could not identify where certain chromesomes and traits had come from, namely her hair--but when she powered up, the droid did not visibly or physically react. Her powers were well within tolerable parameters for a training session, and though that might have been seen as an insult, it was the truth nevertheless: she had a long way to go before reaching the same level as her predecessors. If anything, Barkley's complete biological state would likely make her ill-suited to commanding the remnants of the legion that were still loyal--but with both Aria and Anna still alive, there was no reason to waste cycles on that.

But the data was true nevertheless--if Anna was capable of bearing children, then it was possible that her form of reproduction could... he silenced the thought process, as Barkley charged forward, initiating the training scenario. He could dwell on that at a later time--for now, it was clear the objective was to assist in Barkley's training and development. Her punch thrusted out towards his torso, and like a flash, the android merely raised an arm to intercept the attack--and nothing else, almost as if her movement required nothing more than just putting an obstacle in her way. He was purely developed and created for combat--if she was going to make a dent in his systems, she would need to do far better than her current output.

Then again, this was the astral realm--everything in this realm was for data purposes only.

The android made no movement to attack her, pushing out with his guarding arm in order to push Barkley back a little bit as his eyes analyzed her body's functions once again. "Insufficient. Unit Barkley will be unable to penetrate this unit's outer shell with that level of output. Unit Barkley's muscles have not developed enough for such an attack to be successful," he critiqued, and if Anna had been worried about Rubic's typical coldness, it was there in full display. He stood there, still as stone again, expecting her next attack.
