The screams of those around him echoed in the depths of his mind. His eyelids pulled tightly shut as his eyes darted in random directions. His deep dream state was an intense memory at the moment, bringing back memories of the demon that he bonded with. Ozi had killed millions in his thousand year rain on earth before being killing by a random Demon Hunter. His soul escaping into the body of a young boy who was destined for greatness with a pure heart. His head soaked in his sweat as the memories became more intense, eventually jolting him awake with his arm cocked back ready to strike out of reflex. "Its...nothing..." he said silently as his panting began to calm itself. He looked to the nightstand at his side and noticed that the telepathic gem was pulsating, calling for a challenger. "I can't sleep now..." he thought to himself, the memories shaking him awake like they had for the last several nights. The connection he shared with Ozi was now merged into his own power, but the memories and thoughts of the demon still found ways to haunt his memories. He reached over and gripped the gem tightly, wanting to be anywhere and thinking of anything other than the deaths that woke him. Moments later he found himself in an abandoned city, tarnished and left in ruins. A great battle had ripped it apart, leaving nothing but the sound of silence and ghosts of the past that may still wonder. "Hello?" He said outloud, waiting for a response from a fellow warrior. "Hello~," a voice replied, almost immediately. Should the man turn, he'd find that a young woman stood behind him, eyes shadowed out as she smiled at him. The smile was a little wide, but it could have been any numbers of things. However, he would notice a few details, should Gray look at her carefully. Hayami was dressed differently than normal, and she looked very human. This was for a later date, but she figured that she would use this little spar arena to test out her strong illusion. "It seems that you have some issues to deal with," Hayami continued as she jabbed her thumb at a building behind her, indicating one of multiple buildings stuck in ruin. "If you don't mind, you can call me Alice." "Alice" would fold her atms under her chest, but not in any angry way, especially as she cocked her head to the side and decided that he would respond easily to a little prodding of her psychic abilities. She only guessed that he might be troubled from the general area, not from any air he had about him. Unlike most psychics, her powers did not need a hand to guide them. A building, near enough to ruin and close enough to the man, would start to topple, as if weight had finally made the weak foundation give way. It would head for the man. "Lets see how you deal with that. That should tell me how rough I can be with you," Alice thought, even as she started to head for his way. It would appear that she had noted the building and was closing to assist the man. She hardly trusted whatever ki signature he gave off, since many warriors that could access this space were able to hide their true power- just as she did. He would sense, if he tried, that she was around fifty thousands- less than ten percent of her true power, but enough to show that she was not a pushover. |

"Hello 'Alice" he responded in a shallow and unemotional response. Something about her was off and he could not put his finger on it. She was very attractive for her appearance, almost to attractive. He felt like he had seen this face before, possibly in a dirty magazine Roshi once kept in the bathroom. He shook the memory from his head and remained emotionless and composed as he stared into her eyes. A strange pressure pushed against his energy, could this be her own energy pushing his down? Was she that much more powerful than he? He could feel the ground begin to tremble, something behind him must have caused it. He stood still as the building behind him fell to the ground, crumbling beneath it's foundation and creating a veil of dirt and debris that charged forward and crashed into his back. He remained still, hoping that this cloud of debris that the building created could mask his movements. As the dust passed him he leaned forward slightly and propelling himself forward using it as concealment. Just before the dust could reach Alice he appeared before her, his right arm cocked back as he threw his it forward in a powerful haymaker. He knew that Alice was hiding power, but he was curious how much more power she was concealing. His face remained emotionless and cold as the two connected eyes, he missed a good fight and wanted her to give him one. 244 Words 507 Twords |

The haymaker was thrown, and while she could have easily speed blitzed the poor fellow, she decided against the action. Psychic energy pushed her into a forward roll just under his arm, just as her sense of the attack had shown her he would do. Consealment meant nothing if she could see him. And the dust cloud now rolled over Hayami as she placed her finger against her chin a moment. Her smile only widened before Gray would truly feel pressure. he'd feel like she had turned on gravity, and would slow him down, made him less strong, and maybe he'd notice that his natural toughness was a bit off balance. "Have you ever heard of spiritual pressure?" Alice asked the question innocently enough, before he would see the lights from within the dust, moments before the lightning fast bolts of ki would whiz for his chest. Alice would then appear right behind the bolts, and however he chose to defend, he'd see her throw a punch at his face- and he would likely believe that this was Alice, but it was just an illusion. Unlike the after image, he would "feel" an impact from the front if he was hit by wind, but the true attack, once the illusion was stripped away, was a hard punch towards his side, his right side, just at his kidney. Or at least, where she assumed his kidney was. The blow would feel like she had a boulder for a hand, not some weak young woman's hand, before in that same motion, her leg would wing for his chest, knee pointed at the other side of his body. She was swift, and even as that attack hit or missed, Alice would strike the ground for more dust to come around them as she would say, "You've been rather rude to me, Gray. At least give me a name to call you by. It doesn't have to be your real name, y'know?" If he had any sense for the realm of the Spiritualist- a priestess- then he would feel that kind of ancient, musty power from her. She had, after all, inherited such powers from her mother. |

The bolts of energy caught his attention, but he reacted quickly to her appearance before him. Her fist coming in quickly to strike his face, but the pressure he felt on his face was nothing compared to the pain he felt at his side. His eyes opened wide for a moment, he felt pressure on his face but was left with a staggering pain in his side. "What...What.." he thought as he pain in his kidney was unreal. He dropped to his knee and coughed for a moment, the taste of iron filling his saliva as he gasped for air. It was almost unreal how powerful such a small attack was. He was to distracted by the the circumstances unfolding before him, her power was nothing he had ever experienced before and left him in a swirling pot of confusion and pain. Distracted by the realization of the staggered difference in skill and power he never saw he knee coming. The knee connected with his chest with enough power and momentum that it threw him off of his feet and into the side of a building. His body slamming with such power that the impact spread from the base of the building to the second floor. His hand now grasping his chest he looked up to meet the eyes of the wild beauty before him. "She...knows my name?" he thought to himself as he tried to think of the last few moments before her attack. "I...never..." it finally clicked as he looked up, her innocent and playful smile arousing yet terrifying. He could barely breath let alone compose himself to make a proper apology. "I am sorry for jumping in without introducing myself..." he felt ashamed of the fact he was so distracted by his nightmare that he forgot his manners. 808 Twords |

Alice's smile softened as she nodded her head slightly, before she spoke loud enough for him to hear, "Well, I could tell somethin' was up. I've conjured realms like this before, but it was only after stress. Or when I felt like ruinin' something myself." The girl would nod, before her arms would spread, not too wide, but enough that her psychic powers were not under the direct control of her hands. Power, as it was in her hands, was merely destructive. She had yet to actually wield it for another and not cause damage to others. It was one of her greatest regrets. The young girl allowed her psychic power to snag onto the side of the building she sensed Gray was in. Alice said, "Don't keep your playmate waiting, Gray." Alice didn't really know his name- but he was just so...plain? Or maybe it was better to describe him as boring? White- for such plainness wouldn't really suit this guy, but since he was a warrior, there must be at least a darker side to him. So she had named him Gray in her mind, and just kind of blurted it out. However, instead of trying to look foolish, she just went with it. The psychic priestess slapped her hands together as if she were about to pray to kami sama- whichever Shinto god was her chosen one- and the building would bend and break to her command, the walls attempting to smash Gray within. Someone of his caliber wouldn't really get hurt by this- but it was very likely he'd be very inconvenienced as she held her hands together to reinforce the walls so they wouldn't shatter so easily. Even if he had escaped, he would see her bend her hands down, and either see or feel the weight of the now smashed building come down for him. "Power ain't all it's cracked up to be. Even with all that, with the two blows you received, this power of mine has done no good. The power I have is not the power to save people. It's destruction. Violence for the sake of violence. Fire to burn away the world as it is, to leave for others to create somethin' new. And I wanna change that." This would likely come as a shock to him, or it would if he knew the real Alice. She was a sweetheart, truly, but there was the violent side that needed an outlet. Daji, her lover, refused to indulge this. "S'long as you indulge me for a little longer, though, I can help you. I can help you to obtain power like mine, if you so wish, Gray. Power to push aside your demons." |

OOC: Transformed into Awakening He was unsure if Alice was aware that the walls were fairly thick and the words came through as mumbling in the distance. "I wonder if she is saying anything important..." he thought to himself as he felt the pressure of the walls around him starting to close. Could this be the way that the young man goes? Could he actually die in this telepathic world? It sounded more like the plot of a horribly confusing movie than of factual reality. He could feel the pressure around his body crushing it slowly, if he didn't react soon he would discover the answer to his question. This was not the way he wanted to go out in this battle, he wanted to fight. He wanted to win. His body began to grow in mass as he reached down for his energy, pulling out the remains of Ozi's demonic energy. His body pushed out enough energy for the moment to relieve some of the pressure that was bearing down on him, but more than enough to send a wave of energy out from his body that caused for the building to collapse around him. Before the current events he had only used this transformation a handful of times, but after merging energies with what was left of Ozi's subconscious he was unsure of what this new form would become. As the dust cleared out from around him, he stood tall with black eyes and a childish grin across his face. He lifted his hands up and stared into his palms, unfortunately he knew this was not enough power to match Alice. However he did not want to be crushed to death by the celestials psychic powers before he had a chance to fight back. The path between himself and Alice was clear, she stood before him and stared back with a smile. "I'm sorry" he started off as he wiped some sweat from his brow. "I couldn't hear a word you just said from inside that building...." he looked down to the ruble around him. "Plus the fact that you were somehow managing to crush me made it hard to focus on your words." He smiled back at her, putting his arms to his side and bowing before her. "Clearly...I stand no chance here...." he said, his voice trailing off into a tone of disappointment. 393 Words 1201 Twords |

The smile on Alice's face faded. Her smile, in short time, became that of a scowl. Anger spread, and he would feel the heat of that anger. Not in his body, not from a ball of flames, but like a crawl of fire in his skull. Her mouth then opened as she seemed to take a step and be there, her small hand gripped his shirt, and if she could manage with her five foot, six inch high body, lift him from the ground, she would. "You would give up like a dog?" Her voice trembled with rage. "Are you a man or a dog, you punk?" Regardless of how she had him, hands holding him in the air or just holding onto his shirt- or holding holding him, she would release the cloth and then he'd feel that psychic pressure again, but it would feel so much more focused. As if it were an actual fist that attempted to slapped him. Enough to make him stagger, but not strong enough to make his neck snap. Again, she repeated, "Are you a man or a dog?" Her eyes bore like daggers as she added, "Only dogs give up...no. Even some dogs are brave enough, bonded enough, to not give up. I never gave up, even when I was weak. When I was a fragile little thing, small enough to be crushed. Are you gonna throw another punch? I'll take that hit." His demonic power did not scare Alice. In fact, if he looked, the anger was all she showed. Demons were not beings that scared Alice because she had once been near enough a demon. A dark angel of death, one could have said. Evil, and cruel. |

Her words were not falling on deaf ears, he was playing a game to try and draw her in. He needed to be close to her to touch her, her power was towering over his own but he didn't want to just give up. The pressure he felt was different this time around, but it was not as intimidating this time around. Was she willing to drop her power to try and create a more equal playing field? At this point Gray didn't care, he just wanted to have some fun. His smile only grew as she looked at him, asking him about the difference between being a dog and a man. He didn't think the plan would have played off as well as it did, but it was now about execution. "I never said I was giving up" his smile grew more as he pulled his arm back and unleashed a full power uppercut as they now stood closer than they had before. His other hand swung around to deliver a series of energy blasts to her face in hopes that it would create a sign of things to come, he wanted to have some fun even if the outcome left him broken. 204 Words 1405 Twords OOC: Uppercut + Energy dan |

Alice's eyes narrowed as his uppercut connected, and threw her up. She smiled lightly, but then it would have gotten creepy. "Ah, I see..." The energy flared at her, before she placed one hand down at the energy. Those bolts were quickly slapped away before she allowed a bit more power to spread out. Her hair, which had been brown, now turned white. Her purple eyes turned silver, as she allowed one of her transformations to show. "Here goes," she said quickly before she flared down and struck for her face. Good thing he wasn't a failure. She would have been far too disappointing. The woman would land and then spin to throw her opponent to the ground with a spin kicked, both hands planted on the floor. With her trip attempt, Alice would raise a hand and release a large, blue orb, as she said, "Lets ramp it up!" While if she had used her true power, this whole down would have been blown to dust, she was weaker on purpose. Not that it didn't have the chance to kill him, but it would be much less likely to do so out right. The young woman would then jump back and wait, her eyes now narrowed. He knew he stood no chance if she actually used her full power- so she purposefully weakened herself. She spoke up, now that he wasn't being crushed. "How about I repeat myself again. Do you want to get stronger? I can help you. If you accept, that is. I'll be on Earth in a few short days. Then I can show you the real stuff. But I'mma still need your name, Blondie." Alice would smile that creepy smile as she waited for "Gray". He had upgraded to now being called by his hair color. |

Her attacks were proficiently fluent and connecting at appropriate moments, her level of skill and experience was revealing itself. He threw his feet up to return to his feet as the large blue orb started to make its way down toward him. The massive size and power behind it could easily have demolished what was left of the city if it had connected. His smile seemed to grow, he couldn't help but enjoy how the fight was heating up. He placed his palms together extended outward from his body and brought his arms to his side with the palms still together. "Ka...." he started off as a ball of blue energy formed in between his hands. "Meh..." the ball of energy grew. "Ha...Meh..." the ball of energy grew even more, pushing his hands apart and making them shake. This was going to be everything he had. She dropped her energy to make this a match, but to counter this attack he knew he had to put everything into this attack. His memories of Roshi filled his mind as he thought of this attack. He threw his arms forward unleashing a massive Super Kamehameha at the large orb, connecting with it and forcing the two energies to collide and exploding in the sky. The shock of the impact rocked the city and forced several buildings that were already unstable to crumble. The energy sprinkling down from above like snow from the sky, it was beautiful and he couldn't help but smile. Now drained, he could only hope that he had enough energy to at least block one or two more attacks. To his surprise she just hovered above, smiling down upon him and the battered city. Her offer of power enticed his desire to become stronger. Gray's fist gripping tightly as he held it out from his body, looking back to Alice while maintaining a charismatic smile. "I desire to train with you, I feel that you can help me reach levels that I could only dream of. My only stipulation...dont ask me to take anyone's life who hasn't committed great evil...." 351 Words 1756 Twords |

Alice clapped her hands once, and then immense psychic powers flashed all around the two. Power snapped and popped, then everything went white, and blank. What was normally a "room" within the gem world wasn't even this expansive. The area looked like it could stretched on for miles and miles. Alice landed softly, and placed hand under under her chin, the under arm under that elbow, below her bust. "A condition? Well, that one condition is fine. I will never force you to do anything, Blondie. Part of what I will make you do is make up your own mind. It will be for you to decide what you accept, and what you reject. If I tell you to take a life and you refuse, that is fine. If I tell you to drink something and you don't wanna, that is your choice." What she essential told him was part of the secret. She had not attained her power by letting others show her what she should do. Rather, she had chosen what to follow, who's lessons she followed, and what specific lessons she did. This allowed Alice to build herself to what she was. But not even Alice was satisfied with what abilities she had. There was a particular ability she'd have to head to Namek to obtain. It would be a decent idea to take this guy along. "I'll get into contact with you when I've landed. Within my senses, I will know your power. After all, this isn't the gem world anymore. We are currently in a psychic world, not yet molded so that I can have your attention." She waggled her finger a moment, before the forest of Kanassa appeared before them. She waved her hand towards the forest and said calmly, "On one particular planet that I take you, you'll be able to obtain psychic powers. As they are a part of my tool kit, I believe it would be wise to obtain these powers for yourself." Alice would hold her hand out and say, "So long as you understand that we are not just on a journey for you, but also one for me, i think we will get along just fine." She smiled, and it was no longer creepy. Just...happy. |

His arms fell down to his side as he looked on in amazement at the illusion that was created by Alice. It was quite impressive and breath taking. He listened to her speak for a few moments, respecting that she had no desire to make him do things that he did not desire. He had only ever resided on earth his entire life. Even though he has had a ship, he has never used it. The thought of traveling to new worlds was exciting and terrifying at the same time. "I have no problem traveling with you, I believe this relationship will be mutually beneficial." he nodded and bowed before her. "My name is Gray..." he said, he had been avoiding the question for some time but felt that it was finally time to put that to rest. 138 Words 1894 Twords |
