Roleplay Guide
Dark chunks of jagged and destroyed rock hovered in the air for as long as the eye could see. It was a cold, dense place that gravity seemed to give off an air of despair. The largest chunks were bound by heavy chains that some unknown people had installed in order to keep them from wandering in the vastness of space. Who had that much concern over this place? Nearly all were familiar with it’s tale yet fewer had ever dared to venture to the dead planet of Cauldron.

Prior to having its light extinguished many miners could be found on the planet to harvest the abundant deposits of Obsidian ore. Researchers that dares to brave the sulfuric environment would be found studying the unique creatures that were native to the planet, and even occasionally were accompanied by treasure hunters who sought to uncover some forgotten history.

Now nothing lived in this forsaken place, there was scarce minerals to be found and all of the potential treasures were either obliterated or sent hurling out into the depths of space. This place was the equivalent of a rotting corpse left bare and exposed to the universe, perhaps to serve as a reminder of where all would eventually end up.

On an ordinary chunk of the former planet - where the shadows engulfed the dry rocky material that it was composed of - just continued its trek of wherever gravity would string it along to. Ever since it’s departure from the main bulk of what was the planet there had been absolute zero that would have set this floating husk any different from the other ones. That is, until now.

Near the center of the mass, a golden energy began to appear in the formation of a human-sized swirling slice in the air. The utter darkness now shone with a heavy light that came from the tear in the world, illuminating the features of the long dormant rock. Heavy scarred divides in the ground were filled with light that continued to intensify until an almost blinding pale light touched the dead planet.

The tear widened for a moment as something stepped through with a sudden burst of energy that assaulted the ground, leaving series of long cracks around the portal.

Thud

The intruding figure stood tall with shoulder length blonde hair and a white garb that clung to the lithe figure even as the light from the tear reflected off the silver armor her form had worn. Deep azure eyes took in the scenery… the destruction. This.. this was not right! Had the spell faltered and placed the figure somewhere other than the intended target?

“No. This is the right place,” the figure spoke in a soft, feminine voice. “This is.. Cauldron,” her voice trailed off as she stood in a solemn silence. Behind her the light rapidly dimmed until it was nothing more than a pale light against the darkness. Clothing rustled slightly as the blonde haired woman turned to face the fading portal, a bittersweet look on her face.

“Farewell,” the blonde raised her hand to draw forth an ivory blade that seemed to produce its own light source from the red gem inlaid in the guard of the blade. With a simple swiping motion from the blade, the energy from the portal shuddered and wavered for a moment, before it solidified once again. The look on the blondes face indicated that was not supposed to happen. Another figure emerged from the portal with haste, except this figure was much more masculine and dressed in dark, heavy armor that clanged as his boots crashed into the ground.

“Escaping, Lilly? You, of all people have disappointed our Queen more than any other. I will gladly bring you back,” the figure said through a heavy plate visor that obstructed his face. His voice was deep and heavy and as it stopped, the flick of his wrist produced a dark energy-linked whip that showered the area in sparks of grey.

A heavy gauntleted hand rose into the sky and lurched forward to send the buzzing lash of energy at the blonde’s shoulder blade. Another shower of sparks fell over the area as the whip crashed into the pale side of the woman’s blade - a reaction most expected due to the surprisingly agile way the armored man dashed toward the lithe figure and sent the entirety of his weight against her.

Lilly was sent crashing backwards in an uncontrolled blur of white and blonde until she was able to catch herself before being impaled on the jagged crust of the former planet.

“I don’t know how you caught on, Arathe. It’s almost impressive, but you’ll have to return the news to your queen that I am free,” the Celestial spoke from a crouching defensive position. Her armored right arm rose to slightly and burst with a bluish white energy that rapidly snaked around her opponents limbs and held him tightly. The grip was not without strain, as Lilly knew she would be forced to place immense amounts of energy into completely containing the man.

“Go back and never step foot in this place again,” her hand tightened to place more pressure on the knight to cause his own life essence to bleed out.

Arathe laughed through the telekinetic restraints that prevented him from fully moving. “She’ll come for you. Nobody escapes pu-” the deep voice was silenced immediately as more of the beings life force escaped from the form. The heavily armored man was then thrown backward into the barely visible portal, as his form vanished the rift completely vanished from sight.

Lilly slouched to the ground as she touched down in the same place she had been slain all those years ago but was unable to familiarize herself with even the slightest bit of what remained. If she hadn’t the utmost faith in the spell that allowed her to cross realms, she would not have believed her eyes. Yet this was the truth of her circumstances, this was the result of her actions. Once upon a time she would feel sorrow for the planet and all of its inhabitants that had been extinguished. She would have felt sorry due to her inability to save them or to alter the circumstances.

That time had long passed. And now she was winded from exerting so much energy.

Purgatory was an unforgiving place, one of despair and hopelessness. A bleak world between the shadow and light that held little structure besides the hierarchy of strength and brutality; an untamed arena in which every sort of creature that had been slain found their way to. Lilly sighed in relief as she was out, she had escaped.

Crossing into this realm was taxing on her form as it was since her kind was not designed to leave the realm of despair after entering. She needed a place to recoup her strength and devise the next steps of where she would go, not to mention discerning what events had occurred since her departure. She knew of one place that would provide the safety desired, and with that thought, the blonde Celestial vanished.

The cold husk of Cauldron was once more left barren and devoid of all life.
