Battle: a fight or struggle tenaciously to achieve or resist something. Juturna did not really understand it, though she thought she should. There were surely things she should struggle with, or want to resist against, but the android still kept a certain distance from such emotions. She let Mister Cass have all the passion, and continued on as an unbiased source of information. This body she had was just another tool, and just because it could be used for good and justice didn’t mean she had to use it as such. No one expected anything of her in a bodily form, which she preferred. So, what brought her here to this battle? Art. The only thing Juturna truly wanted was to know things. She didn’t have to understand them. She just wanted the data. She had gone about training with the many masters of the universe seeking to understand the physical art and control of ones body. Kami and Guru had taught about inner peace and balancing the mind within the body, Luther and Vegeta pushed strain upon her, demanding new limits be made. The Grand Kai taught about adaptability. She had a machine’s mind, inner peace and balance in the body was not an issue. Achieving raw power and pushing herself to the brink of new achievement didn’t suit her well. Adaptability was interesting, but it did not show her the art in fighting. Of all the masters, it was the turtle hermit’s methods that spoke to her. Master Roshi was a fan of the fundamentals. He taught his students how to gain rounded strength through common activities, focusing on the core with speed and stamina. After that, he was a man of technique. When she could bribe him he would teach her properly, usually through password protected internet access, she learned a great deal. The turtle hermit’s method of energy control, his insight in following the flow of battle, with the study of every martial arts style under his belt, his knowledge was superior. His way of training was to teach the body to recognize fighting as another form of breathing, to act not with mind but with instinct and understanding. That was something she didn’t have. That was what she needed taught. But the turtle hermit was a lazy man at heart. Even with her bribes he sought a way to pawn her off to someone else, and he did so with cleverness. He explained that to reach the next step in her training she had to use her skills in a real battle. The idea was not unfamiliar to her. Mister Cass did not train often, if ever. His skills were always polished in battle. That was how he learned and that was how he grew, and she had seen it with her own metaphorical eyes. She was not sure she wanted to fight like Mister Cass however, and thus she avoided such things. There had been fights, many, usually against groups or in teams. She worked together with her friends, she found a logical solution, but she had yet to face off against one warrior in a real battle. There were no Juturna versus Chaos, or Juturna versus a wild Chirai. She had yet to expand that experience, until now. The battlefield was an uninhabited island. It was larger than Kami’s Island, enough for a little bit of woods and more unique terrain than grass and a beach, but the wildlife was scarce with little food resources. Juturna waited on the beach, her bare feet digging into the sand. She didn’t have much for battle gear, just her own hard chassis and loose but fitting clothes for easy movement. She wondered if this was a bad idea, knowing how Yan’s experimental armor was often his saving grace, but she didn’t care about damaging this chassis. If it spelled her defeat, then it was something to consider in the future. She didn’t mind losing in a broad sense, but she also didn’t want to lose. The idea of it seemed to make all her efforts go to waste. When Joseph arrived, she stretched her hand out so one of her holographic screens could display for him clearly. I AM JUTURNA… it said simply. I WILL BE YOUR OPPONENT… she dropped her hand and moved into a simple but effective stance for both defense and offense before she gave him a small nod to confirm they were to begin. It was almost anticlimactic in comparison to when Mister Cass fought, diving in and immediately trying to murder someone. This was almost civil, but she had a feeling that wouldn’t last for long. She had conflicting ideals on how to begin. Master Roshi would wait patiently, prepared to counter, while Mister Cass would refuse to lose the advantage of the first attack. In the end she decided to combine the two, rushing forward in a quick boost of speed with her arm pulled back, she stopped just short, making a sharp pivot to attack him from the side. Her small fist shot out in quick succession, targeting the boy’s kidneys before swinging a hard right hook towards the side of his head, all the while carefully inspecting his form for any counter attack. Her fast footwork continued, moving away from him just enough to send a spin kick towards his body before she forced her way in again to try and take two more body blows from him. Free. Joseph was sitting at home playing video games when his mother informed him of Master Roshi calling to enlist him to have a bout with one of his students. The boy didn’t mind taking the request. The Turtle Hermit was good instructor to him that taught him a great deal about martial arts and the old master also bestowed upon him some of his wisdom that could be applied in and outside of battle. The child also didn’t mind because simply fighting was fun to him. Battle interested him, it was exciting, and gratifying him.
They were exhibitions that he could take on to test and push himself physically and mentally. Fighting was multi faceted, having so many intricacies that could be studied and discerned. In terms of his own experience with them he had seen many, having mixed results in terms of his wins and losses of his more serious fights. They were like puzzles or a game of strategy, and that aspect was something that appealed to his studious inclinations. He learned something every fight.
Sometimes he fought for fun like the bouts he’d have with friends or acquaintances like with Anna, Goku, or Hayami, sometimes they were matters of life and death where he had to fight for his own life or defend the lives of others. Such as his two fights against Broly, other cases a fight was a means to an end like to win a tournament or help a magical girl unlock a love artifact.
When he arrived to the island he was a little confused initially. The boy understood the population being scarce, that made for an ideal setting to avoid harm to people and animals. What perplexed him was that he couldn’t feel another humanoid ki signature other than Master Roshi’s and his own, though after a moment tracking the Turtle Hermits energy things became clear when he saw the figure near the master. It looked to be a young girl, the lack of an perceivable aura was enough of an indication that she was an Android. “Master,” Joseph said addressing Roshi, following with a small bow.
As he looked over to address the girl next to him she stuck her hand out, Joseph was about to move to take it thinking it was to initiate a handshake, however that impression was corrected by the laconic message Junterna projected, before putting her hand down and assuming a stance. “Ok,” the young boy said simply. “I’m Joseph.” He wasn’t expecting to be greeted so straightforwardly and have the other immediately prepare for what they were present to do. The boy got by with communication on its hammers and nails and was use to others prolonging conversation with questions and further pleasantries. Nonetheless, Joseph could appreciate someone being so forward.
The child pulled out his staff and elongated it to the length of a bow staff, standing with a leg back and holding the end of the weapon towards the Android as he waited for her to approach. When Juterna sped towards him, moving in to attack him from the side he shuffled his feet rotating towards her, he made he made her advance an opening for his own attack of opportunity as he swung shaft to collide with the bend of her arm to stifle the blow while also inflicting damage to the arm she had just struck with.
The young martial artist rotated his staff in both hands swinging it from under his shoulder to intercept the hook targeted to his head striking the side of her forearm. As the following spin kick neared his body Joseph spun the staff over his shoulder to slam his weapon on the knee and calf muscle of her synthetic leg.
Joseph was still committed to the strike to her leg and couldn’t move his weapon in time to prevent the Android from moving in and hitting him with two blows. When he felt the attacks connect he yielded to them, moving back to mitigate the shock through his upper body, though he could still feel a pain in his stomach. The boy stopped himself when he was just out of Juterna’s reach and raised his weapon up to his body, he channeled his ki veiling his body in a white aura to brace his person for further attacks.

Roshi taught one to prepare to counter. Joseph was no different than her, but with the same teacher, it was what she was expecting. Her fist moved towards his kidneys with some care, and when the pole managed to cut through the miniscule distance between them, Juturna’s arm turned to take the hit hard against her forearm versus the more tender side. It still snapped her arm away with more force than she was prepared for, but it was more controlled and that strength was recalculated into her expectations. With one movement from him, she could gauge his style of defense.
Her hook swung wildly on purpose, and when he moved in a downward strike she pivoted once more into a full spin as she pulled the swing in, back and close to her chest to try and miss the strike by even a millimeter. Moving swiftly into another spin her leg shot out in a bent form but as his pole followed suit she straightened it to swung higher over the pole before she countered with a kick from her other leg, jumping and aiming to stomp down on the boys chest twice before flipping over in the air. She landed back on her feet only a short ways away, which made her next rush finally effective.
His aura shifted, though she couldn’t quite place the change. It wasn’t quite powering up, but he was doing something, and judging for his style so far, it was likely for another defense.
Juturna smiled. It wasn’t amused, or even excited by the fight so far. It seemed almost kind, appreciative of what he could offer and what he had built for himself.
That didn’t mean she would go easy however, and she shot forward with an open palm style. Her left hand attempted to reach him in a straight while her right moved in from the side but rather than offer him another physical confrontation she spiced it up a bit as two balls of ki shot out at pin point range, if he allowed her to get that close anyway.
This time she allowed some distance between them. A stave user needed distance to be truly effective, even with a pole that could change sizes. Her feet planted, and her hands pulled into a very familiar gesture at her side. There was no chant or lengthy time period to gather ki however, and she instead shot out a weaker version of Roshi’s trademark attack with more speed and urgency, aiming it to crash into him with a decent amount of force still and throw him back.
She refused to slow down regardless of any attempts to force her or subdue her attacks and thus launched forward again. Her palm moved up as if to strike under his chin, but once more a ball of fierce ki shot out followed by another from her other hand as it reached out to his chest.

The boy observed the Android as she managed to mitigate the damage of his staff counter attack. That was a rare feat in itself, not many opponents he had contested against could defend against his counter strikes with some form of success. The Android even managed to evade his higher level staff techniques. Joseph having already swung down his staff to intercept the kick was too committed to evade the kicks. Her kicks didn’t cause pain given that his body-shield absorb the shock to his body, but it still pushed him back.
When Juturna proceeded with an aggressive advance, he curled into a guard covering as much of his face and body. It wasn’t a strike however, rather it was too blast, that collided with his guarded form. The heat and explosive force made was not hindered by his body shield as it made to defend against physical attacks. The exploding blast drove him back while inciting shocks of pain and leaving resonating burning feeling where they connected.
The first one managed to stop the baulk of damage, but made him stumble and open up his guard and he took the second undefended. His opponent didn’t move closer however, instead allowing distance. He her watched take a familiar stance before he braced himself for the beam she fired. Joseph spread his feet apart, and leaned to the side turning his head and shoulder as he made a semi-circle to avoid the lesser beam.
He was expecting her to fire a Kamehameha at first, Androids made for abstruse opponents. Their lack of an aura allowed them to allude detection from those atuned to other auras and that also meant their energy attacks were not telegraphed by surges of ki. Joseph becoming more wary of Juturna generated another veil of ki, an azure hue that layered over his form composing a barrier that would shield him from further energy based attacks. Afterwards he spun his weapon behind him as he lowered down bending his right leg and extending his left swinging the staff over his head and shoulder to bring the cudgel down for the shaft to slam over the head of the Android.

Jutters had him on the defensive and she planned to keep it that way, falling into a Mister Cass styled assault while keeping a bit more conscious of him to the world around her. She didn’t have his stupid fast speed, nor were her instincts as finely honed. That’s what this battle was for afterall! His staff swung down and she lifted a cross block over her head, planting her feet into the ground and pushing her strength upward to keep it at bay. It wasn't effective as the strike broke it open and sent a crushing feeling down her spine. Realizing the futility she let the force move her body into a lower crouch. As he pulled back, her teeth gritted slightly while her arms moved to protect her neck. Without any pause, she immediately launched up from her position, aiming to slam her head in under his jaw. She doubted the boy was used to having attacks come from below with his small stature, but she also expected another sharp defense. Kicking her feet into the deep sand she spun into an upright position. She swiftly stepped in, her foot planting almost between his and her hand moved into a low strike that was not quite an uppercut. Her fist was turned and the angle was complicated, but it aimed to take off his head if he wasn’t careful. Seeing either the punch push him back or a successful dodge, she hopped upwards. At their strengths, a simple hop could give them a good amount of height and she didn’t need too much to be above him. Not waiting for gravity, she pushed her ki out to shoot her down faster, her elbow out with the plan to slam into him with all the force she could muster from her small body. Whether it hit or not she moved into a roll to get below him once more. She turned into a sweeping kick and not waiting to see if he fell or moved launched upward again and swung her fist towards his body. She was aiming for the same spot that had hit before. Again, her hand opened into a palm, set to deliver a strike towards his face. She wanted to see if he would flee, but this time no energy shot out and instead the strike was merely a fierce physical as her other hand moved into a chopping motion down on the tendons of his shoulder. Joseph could feel his staff vibrating as it slammed over the head of the resisting Android that eventually had her stance yield and lower under the weight of the attack. He felt the Android suddenly slam her head under his chin making him stumble back a bit, it didn't cause much pain thanks to his barrier. That was a bold move if nothing else, many wouldn’t have been so fast to attack back after enduring such a heavy hit, so far his opponent showed no sign in lacking tenacity or aggression. The upward attack was followed by a low punch at his body, he grunted as the fist slammed into his stomach and shattered his protective aura.
Joseph looked as the Android took to the air before rocketing down just as quickly. Joseph was barely able to put his arms in front of body to curl into a guard before she slammed down on him, taking the boy to the ground and making a crater, as a tremor rushed through the island. The boy gasped as air was forced from his lungs, the sheer weight sent a resonating shock through his arms, back, and legs. He didn't push back against the body slam but let it drive him into the ground, while rotating his shoulder to deflect some of the force.
Joseph rose to his feet as Juturna rolled back, he read her lowered posture to see that she was attempting sweep kick, the boy rose his leg up and in a snap bent his leg back and quickly kicked forward at her leg to check the sweep stopping it in its tracks. He lowered his arms to block the proceeding body shot, and rode the punch backwards to disperse some of its force. He responded to the open palm by raising his hand, holding the forearm up and having his palm facing up with his fingers stuck towards the android similar to a begger holding their hand out asking for money, the Androids own forearm brushed his her attack was spread to the outside away from its target.
As the chop descended towards his shoulder Joseph rotated and put his hands over his head to meet the attack, he put his hands together and separated them, a stream of electricity was between the two hands, if Juturna's hand got caught in it she'd feel a surge of electricity rush through her. It was a modified version of Master Roshi's Thundershock Surprise Attack, where here it didn't shoot a stream of electricity but rather he generated a field of electrical aura that would react to contact from an opponents attack. If it was successful Juturna would find her ability to move impeded and it would be more difficult to draw from her energy and that would make things easier for him, to him the most effective type of technique or strategy were ones that could reduce the variables. The less options his opponent had the easier it would be to control the fight as well as predict what they would do.
Capitalizing on the prospect, Joseph rushed forward throwing a barrage of vertically fisted punches at Android. Each blow rolled off the other in a piston like motion with a hand striking towards its mark the same time one was retracted back for its next attack, working to overwhelm and daze Juturna with a flurry of blows. The Demi-Earthling then stepped to the side in an attempt to move away from from center. He then raised his leg and turned his hips as he snapped his legs to hit his opponent's side with a side kick from his right leg. Once that leg was back on the ground he rose his left leg, bending it back to chamber it and shooting the leg forward pitching it at an upward angle. He intended for this final kick to do some damage and change his position relative to Juturna, getting him out of reach of potential counter strikes or intercept any attempts she may have made to counter after his barrage of attacks. Juturna was showing to be a fierce opponent and didn't plan to get dominated in an exchange with her, he was just getting started wanting to learn what he could about the opponent and work towards gaining the upper-hand in hopes of winning this bout.

Damage Report:
I based all dodge/block success rates (except the first block each) on RP more than anything. You can see in the numbers below what I decided. ND = No Defense
Joe ----------------------------------------------------- Total DMG: 32.15% -----------------------------------------------------
ND 2 QAs (1%) [BLOCK 75%] [DR4] (2.75%) ND [DR4] (11%) [DODGE 50%] [DR4] (6.5%) ND 2 SAs (2%) [BLOCK 40%] DR5 (8.4%) [BLOCK 50%] 2 QAs (.5%)
Juturna ----------------------------------------------------- Total DMG: 8.65% -----------------------------------------------------
[BLOCK 75%] [DR 1] [+110% Damage] (3.15%) ND [DR2] [+10% Damage] (5.5%)
RP Report:
Battle experience is showing here, and as much as he don't need it Yan gets the bonus. I especially liked the SA from 'below' and how Juturna figured that Joe wouldn't be used to those kinds of attacks due to his size.

Juturna’s hand sliced through the electrical field and she immediately felt a surge of energy. Normally such a shock would upset an organic nervous system as electrodes began to shoot too fast and got confused. The ASI’s chassis was not organic however, and the power system it required to run even ten percent of her processing ability was not going to be overwhelmed so easily. There was a momentary blip as the system registered the new power and sought an answer on what to do with it. With her full processing power, the answer would have been given at the slightest charge of energy on Joseph’s end, but she was not an artificial super intelligence in this form. She had limited access to her full systems, and was only connected to the super intelligence portion of herself through the limited speed of the Jutters Network.
Blip.
The easiest answer was simply to hold onto it. It rushed through her metallic form and bounced around letting off small charges from her body as if she were malfunctioning, but she did not slow past that small pause.
He rushed towards her but her hands had never dropped, and instead pulled easily back into a guard. Still in the open palm style she slapped back his punches, pushing them just enough off course that they missed their target. He stepped back and she used that moment to prepare herself. She threw herself back and down in response so that the side kick swooshed through the air. Before he could pull it back to himself and regain proper footing, her own legs shot out from the ground, aiming to plant both her feet into his twisted body to send him skyward. A quick flip and she shot into the air with a powered rush of speed, and slammed her fists down towards his back in hopes to send him flying back to the ground.
The small surges of electricity hadn’t stopped all the while, as little bolts of energy danced across her body and through out her aura. She concentrated on it now, building up all the electricity he gave her and adding her own before slicing her arm through the air in a fierce spin. An array of powerful bolts crashed away from her before they pulled into a concrete blast that crashed down upon him.
With still more to spare, Joseph seemed to have picked the wrong fight against the android. More electricity crackled around her form in its own aura before she flew down from the sky in a dangerous rush. It was a straight forward attack but with good speed, and her fist came down in an attempt to slam into him with all her aura behind it.
The electricity finally seemed to fade, and she landed back to the ground, sand kicking up from the force of her. She jumped again, aiming to kick the boy in the face now, before throwing her body into a spin to send a wild hook towards his side.

Joseph witnessed the electricity invade the Android making her movements stutter a moment as the surge of electricity rushed through her. It was satisfying to see it land, he wished that Goku was around, he had been testing Roshi’s Thundershock attack with him and would have liked showing his friend the variation he made. Juturna was stunned for a moment but she managed to recover enough from it to divert the barrage of punches he delivered to capitalize on it. Joseph was in the middle of bending his leg back to rechamber it from the last kick when his opponent knocked him into the air. He gasped as air was forced from his lungs as he ascended into the air, he was somewhat dazed from the attack, and hardly was able to react to Juturna coming above him and bringing him crashing down back to the Island.
The Demi-Earthling landed face first on the ground, sounding a loud thud and kicking up dirt. There was an impression in the vague shape of his body left on the ground. He rose to his feet and turned to the direction of Juturna, his felt his energy continuing to course through her body, it didn’t appear to hinder her, but rather she was now harnessing. When She released the multiple bolts of energy, the boy raised his arms to cover as much of his face and body as he could. Joseph focused and expanded the barrier into a dome, as the bolts neared and merged into one large bolt that sought to bombard and swallow him in a destructive blast of power.
This was akin to what Broly did when he attempted to use the Thunder Shock Surprise Technique on him and Joseph had no intention of being overtaken by his own attack again, especially not in a way so similar to what had been done by his most abhorred adversary. The bolt collided with Barrier of ki, Joseph gritted his teeth and pushed back against the energy, fighting to maintain his posture and also keep his position on the ground. Joseph felt the heat penetrate through his protective aura, and the force exerting against him relentlessly, his arms shaking as lethargy threaten to drag them down.
His protective field began to faulter, cracks forming and expanding around it like gradually breaking glass about to shatter. The child continued struggling, eventually the dome did shatter and the blast dispersed along with it. Joseph’s dropped his arms and took a breathe. That was the most respite that he could afford as Jurturna rushed him with another kamikaze type attack using what of his ki remained in her. The Demi-Earthling lowered his stance and leaned back just before colliding with the Android, a sharp pain radiated in his body but he rode it.
He grabbed her shirt and channeled his aura for a moment, the energy that remained with in her leaked from her body and travelled to him, forming a fiery cloak of ki as he reclaimed the energy that she had commandeered. He rolled on his back then popped his hips up as he extended his legs to throw the Android off of him just before getting back on his feet. He rose his arms up in a haphazard attempt to block the punch to his face, but it landed cleanly before he could cover himself and it drove him back opening him up for the kick that followed quickly after. The azure cloak of ki created a fiery burst that threatened to explode against Juturna if she didn’t defend against it. With a quick flick of his wrist, he elongated his staff, Joseph became a blur as he rushed to his opponent, he opened by swinging the weapon in both hands each one closer to one end of the staff like he was moving a row boat, having one end move downward to strike her across the jaw then having the other man swinging while moving upward to knock her across the cheek.
Joseph then shortened the weapon to give enough room to spin as he elongated it again to strike her in the stomach. He then shortened it to the length of a baton, and closed in on her swinging the staff over his shoulder in a downward diagonal snap to strike her across the head, then quickly snapping his arm the opposite way to hit her again. Joseph continued attacking her with the staff striking as the bend of her arms, sides, and lowering down to her knee. The kid hoped the strike at her knee would make her leg buckle, as he twirled the weapon lengthening it again to almost be his height, he swung the weapon back holding the staff up as if it was like a golf club and then made a swift swing motioning in three fourths of a circle to slam her from under her chin in attempt to send her hurling away with a final heavy swing from his staff.

Her hand snatched itself back from the fire, but the momentary distraction was deadly. She saw the strike coming but had little time for anything else. She moved her head at least so the strike came down on her tendon and shoulder sending a sharp pain through her faux-nervous system. He had got her now. She kept him on the defensive, holding her own guard and counters but this time she had slipped up. It wasn’t uncommon in battle. Yan did it all the time, usually getting his ass handed to him. The important part she had learned from him is try and minimize damage in any tiny way you could, to accept the pain versus allow it to cloud your mind, and pay attention to how your body was ending up. The first part was obvious but more difficult than it sounded. The second strike got to her cheek but she moved with it, turning her body to lessen the strain on her neck. She saw the next strike coming but still wasn’t quick enough. All she could manage was to step off the ground. With that, when his stave crashed into her, there was no resistance except her own weight and she moved back with it. The next strike was back to her head, and she wondered briefly where he learned his manners. This time she took it, turning the hardest part of her metal skull to face it. Her processing center wasn’t in her brain. He could take her head clean off and it would only hinder some things. He struck again and she felt it but dropped down earlier than he expected forcing the hit into her already bent and supported knee cap. His weapon was a flat ended pole. It didn’t have the girth of a golf clubs horizontal piece that make the the ball slam off into the distance. Instead it slammed into her with a slight dig in that kicked her up into the air. Minimize Damage, completed for now. Could be improved upon. Pain management: Each hit still stung. She had bruises that were similar to organics, revealing her inner parts had been effected even if her ‘skin’ hadn’t been sliced though, and there were plenty forming. It made most movement feel sore and cringy, but she did as Yan did, only much easier because she was a program and not a biological mind who had years of evolution telling them pain was a warning sign they should not ignore. No Juturna merely noted what difficulties it would bring her and accepted her new state of being. Now, had she paid attention to how her body moved in that last strike? Of course she did. The pain was accepted and the final strike was a full and wild swing. Regaining a guard from that would take a precious second longer than a normal stave strike. She used that time to charge energy into her hands. It glowed very slightly but it was difficult to see in the hot sunlight, and the energy could not be felt. She spun herself with the throw so her foot could plant down with ease, setting her up so that when he second stomped down she could launch from the stance with little effort. She charged in, refusing to take in the damage sustained just yet in hopes of getting an upper hand. Once again she used an open hand style moving to try and strike his nose and his stomach. She tried eagerly for that point blank range before she released the barrage of ki out in full force. This time it wasn’t just a ball of ki released towards his face but a seemingly unending onslaught of powerful blasts that decimated anything they came into contact with. Once the initial strike was attempted her hands moved apart to broaden the range, creating two tyrannical cone of death from front and behind. They crashed into the water, into the trees and exploded up sand and earth. Her scouter pinged onto wherever he ended up and her sharp senses were fixed on winning now. She wished to pay back the earlier strikes and it didn’t yet compute that this might be going over board. Catching his form through the fog of sand she hadkicked up, she pointed at him. Immediately ki welled right upon his chest giving him less than a moment’s notice before it exploded with grand fanfare. Now he was locked in her sights, as she carefully followed and recentered upon any trained movements. He was an organic. He could not hide from her, and she made sure he knew it by sending a spinning disk of dangerous ki towards him. It was slow, but it seemed to be fixed upon him, tracking his every small move and giving appropriate chase. While he dealt with that she took in a small ceremonious breath. She didn’t need to breath but it opened up her cavities and made her feel a little freer in her movements. Her palms opened over the finally settling sand and it began to float as her ki moved out into the air. First just around her, but then around Joseph too. She used that shift of less gravity to take back to the air. Then everything changed. Her hands closed and that once lightening energy shifted. The sand dropped back to the earth with alarming speed and where it had once been loose it crammed together to form a stiff ground. Foot steps and dunes where they had opened the sand up crumbled apart until they were mere declines. The waves pulled back in a desperate flee. It wasn’t just the sand though. The sudden increased gravity pushed down on Joseph as well, keen to make him a flat as the hardened sand. A heavy invisible weight had been dropped upon him and he was not careful it would bring him to his knees. If he was not careful another weight, empowered by the gravity pull downward would also crash down upon him. While Juturna was in the air before the total shift, she spun her body to be angled for the drop. It kicked in and she slammed down her elbow extended and body supported. It seemed like he had time. The gravity still only propelled her so fast! Until she put her own speed and force to increase the downward momentum. With that she seemed to go from space A to space right on top of him far too quickly, most likely before he could get his bearings, though maybe he was clever enough to escape the truly magnificent crater left behind. Whether she landed on him or not, her ki shifted again to end the oppressive heaviness in the air, and the sand broke apart and launched upwards against her force sending it flying into unclosed eyes and dimming the battle field to a smog of dirt and the tiny particles of sand that were still floating after the push. She jumped up from her position quickly however. With the gravity released once more, a tsunami was headed their way. Realizing this now, the android made a small face, one of her screens appearing in the open air. TOO MUCH?... Free. Take Crushing BlowsA1-A2. Charged Flash Bomb (13%) [DR9] Spd. The Crushing Blows staff technique was nigh inexorable and the Android’s lapse in keeping up her defenses made it all the more easier to connect. He had hit most of the staff attacks at the mark, he noticed her rolling with the blows to mitigate their damage to her, even the peculiar maneuver of moving her skull closer to his staff rather than away from it. This indicated to the boy that wherever her processing center was it wasn’t in her head, that was interesting. Joseph thought briefly about how he may have been thinking of Jurturna too much as a humanoid opponent and not a mechanical one.
Joseph noted that he needed to be mindful of the nature of his opponent, especially against an Android, given his limited experience fighting them. One of his core teaching when he truly delved into practicing martial arts was knowing his opponent, and he’d have to pensive as well as critical if he was going to win this bout. Joseph looked up as the Android was launched and she made her recovery before jumping at him, still persistent as ever, rushing to him even after enduring such a strong barrage. The Demi-Earthling promptly stepped back to maintain distance between them, the last time she rushed to get so close with an open palm she unleashed a volley of blasts. Joseph focused and channeled his energy, an azure veil of aura surrounded and layered over his form. When it was unleashed Joseph began spinning the weapon around, to divert the relentless barrage of bolts, there was resistance from the blasts that collided with the staff so he couldn’t generate the speed to blow them away in a strong gust of wind, so the rapid twirl would have to do.
He could feel the heat they produced and felt the island tremoring beneath him as blast exploded on various parts of the land. The child couldn’t however divert all of them from his person, many blast still managed to connect exploding against his body, leaving holes in his clothes and singing him and leaving hot resonating pains. The barrage drove him back, he nearly stumbled over from that bombardment, but there was no time to rest, he felt a heaviness in his chest, before another explosion engulfed him. That blast shredded his already battle worn blue tunic, leaving him his black undershirt, and what little of the blue tunic that remained underneath his sash. It was a good idea to have their fight on a spacious barren island otherwise people or animals could have got hurt. To think Master Roshi only decided not to have the fight on his island because his house had been destroyed when Kale was attacked by some Android.
Joseph slowly rose up breathing heavily, looking straight to the sight of a sharp disk of ki. Rather than attempt to flee from it he stuck out one hand while putting his staff away with the other one, blue energy swirled in his palm, and as the disk neared it drew to his extended hand and got absorbed into the blue light. The Android was still not done as the gravity around the boy became heavier, Joseph gritted his teeth standing on wobbling legs, as he resisted the gravity trying not to be forced prone. He stuck his hands out, projecting his ki outward and began spinning, his hands made a aqua blue trail as he rapidly rotated and became a blur. The gravity that was putting him under duress was diverted. Eventually his motion created a blue spiraling dome. Once the Android was within reach he pivoted while swinging his arms to the side to deflect the Kamikaze, he grabbed the elbow as he turned aligning his body to redirect her momentum, and releasing her in a push to send her away from him. He read her message as he took a stance. “Not quite,” Joseph answered.
Joseph flash stepped to the Android getting close to her until they were less than arms-length away from each other. He put his hands to his head and then the area was bathed in a brilliant flash. He hoped to overload any sensors she had for processing light with a large oversaturation with the Solar Flare technique. Joseph then stuck his arms out, wrist together and his hands held sideways having his fingers slightly bend. A small sphere of scarlet energy appeared in front of his hands, red beams stuck out as it grew and cloaked he area in red light. Heatwaves appeared as the sheer amount of power was distorting the light around them, his body smoked as his sweet was being changed to steam. The ground rumbled as power was rapidly being amassed while the wind from the tsunami pushed around the combatants.
Once he was done charging, he unleashed a copious small but powerful red blasts to bombard and overtake the Android like she had been trying to do him. The blasts rapidly released like they were being fired from a mini gun, each blast intent of exploding against the body of his opponent, wearing down her defenses before eventually overtaking her and having her collapsed against them. If she moved he’d move around to track her movements and shoot the blasts to intercept her in her path, but being mindful to control his attack, and he made sure that any that missed would explode on land or in the ocean to not bring harm to anyone other than his target. Usually it wasn’t his style to unleash an attack of such magnitude at least not until significantly later in combat, but he felt he needed to put the pressure on this aggressive opponent. Most of her attacks were dealing significant damage more quickly, and unlike with Raiosu his defenses weren’t making the majority of her attacks slide off him like water off a duck’s back and she could very well overwhelm him and he had no intention of allowing himself to be continuously bombarded.

Juturna smiled at Joseph’s response, though he didn't seem to know what she meant. It was short lived however. The boy almost vanished, and the android could see him just barely at his lower speed, but that was an advantage not meant to last.
She jumped back, expecting a physical strike or even an energy attack. Nothing came at her though. Instead the battle field was filled with light. She might as well have been an organic locked for days in a cellar with no light waiting out the apocalypse, only for the doors to explode open to not only reveal the light of a hot summer sun, but also whatever explosion that was meant to destroy them.
The apocalypse arrived. Wooden doors would not prevent it.
A simple block would not prevent this either. She did not need to see to compute the rise of power around her. Data flowed directly into her processor and she could feel the environment cringing around her as his power was gathered up. That hot summer sun beat down giving her the prickling sensation of slowly burning skin, and the earth trembled with a guttural sound. The waves that had been pushed so far back with her surge of gravity rushed forth at greater speed towards the draw of his power. She couldn’t see, only register the data presented to her, and feel a sense of instinct.
And instinct told her to get the fuck outta dodge.
She had taken some distance in light of what turned out to be light, but it was far from enough. Her hand opened in front of her, and she pulled down at the dimensional fabric of this reality. It was a swift motion, and the effect was almost instantaneous as she vanished from before the mass of deadly machine gun fire. The blasts rolled out even if he spun, but when she reappeared she did so out of sight, using her untraceable android signature to her advantage.
Meanwhile the waves finally caught up to land. The promised tsunami fell down upon the island, its peak higher than Kame House. It rushed past the beach into the trees, tearing them from their roots as the water expanded ever further. It would pour down upon Joseph if he didn’t move. He had more than enough physical ability to weather the wave without being forced so move a muscle, but it would definitely hinder his firing of blasts, and be a little, well, uncomfortable. No one enjoyed a bucket of water poured on their head.
Juturna ended up over the water, even past where the wave would eventually recede back in, floating effortlessly. Her aura clung to her body now, a soft lilac in color, as she watched for the boy’s next move. It seemed to be her turn to offer a defense, but she wouldn't make reaching her that easy.

The boy eyes widen as he adopted a fuddled visage when Jurturna disappeared with a swift motion of her hand being gone from his sight just before he released the volley of crimson blasts. He didn’t see any footwork that would lead to a speed teleport and she did a different motion than what he was use to seeing when someone used Instant Transmission. What type of teleportation technique did she use?
Shortly after she left his sight Joseph ceased his barrage of blast, it wouldn’t be wise to continue firing when he no longer knew where his opponent was located, it would be a waste of energy and there would be an unnecessary risk of stray blasts. Though it was disappointing that the attack didn’t connect Joseph was happy that his assault managed to drive her away from him. Now it was his turn to go on the offensive.
He moved quickly to escape the wild rising waves. He dashed becoming a blur jumping on the boulders and along the branches of the trees. The moved to get to the higher points on the mountains of the island where the wild waves didn’t quite reach. Joseph looked around and eventually caught sight of the Android floating above the water. The Demi-Earthling pulled out his staff and swung it over his shoulder extending it as he sent the shaft to the ground propelling himself into the air.
As the boy ascended he put his weapon away in his sash, he was a few meters below the Android when he felt himself slowing down prepared to be forced back down by gravity. The child extended his arms and released a transparent burst of ki to launch himself upward. As rose in the air Joseph charged his ki manifesting a blue aura, that suddenly shifted to a golden fire veil of ki. His complexion appeared orange behind the wild aura and the ends of his bangs looked to be highlighted red. Joseph kicked at Jurturna’s body empowering his feet with ki to send a concussive shock through her body. He repeated the motions of launching himself up with spirit energy and shot his feet at her with regular kicks to knock her further into the air with each following strike.
Joseph then moved his hand and to the side firing ki again to send himself in a spin as he swung his leg to kick across his opponents chin. He then pointed his hands down firing one last invisible bolt of ki to raise above her as he curled into the ball before raising his leg and bringing it down to take her to the ground with an axe kick. Once that was done he faced down at Jurturna as he cupped his hands, generating a blue orb of ki that grew and expanded between his palms. “Ka-Me-Ha-Me-Ha” Joseph threw his hands down releasing a beam of ki that sped to engulf the Android in a fierce azure beam that would crush her under its force as it would eventually explode over her.

Probably the best line since my last report. When Yan Marino is at his best so far, I can't really tell the difference in his writing for Yan and his writing for Jutters. You lose points for that imo, and I feel like you're phoning it in homie. This report should have been yours to keep, but Joseph gets it this time.

Juturna watched Joseph’s swift movements, almost desperate to catch up to her. She moved into a stance made for movement, using her ki to prop her in the air like her feet were still planted firmly into soil. He shot himself forward with his weapon as a crutch then attempted to shoot himself upward again. She had the advantage here, and she didn’t plan to lose it.
As he finally reached her, her own ki welled up and she kicked off it with an increased speed, almost vanishing from her spot to reappear just out of range of the fiercest of his blows. His ki seemed to slide away from his appendage then, pooling into his entire aura in a makeshift transformation. Her scouter registered the higher numbers, and her own power grew, his jump in speed still got the better of her.
His foot landed upon her body, pushing her through the open air before he launched himself at her again. Upward she went with each kick, spinning her body to keep it from reaching the already injured parts of this chassis. He got above her, and his hands cupped in a familiar motion but she was still recovering from the worst of the speedy attack. The violet ki around her expanded, hoping to negate some of the beam, but it crashed into her, pushing her down towards the water before Joseph released it from his own grasp.
Juturna’s hands twitched as her pain sensors sent her warnings. She didn’t have an organic mind. She didn’t even have to feel pain if she didn’t want to, but she recognized its use. It told her where her damages were, and it made her less inclined to push through with the use of a damaged limb. For those purposes it was still unpleasant, but while an organic might be stunned by it, the ASI registered it and quickly moved on. This body had plenty of fight still in it.
Her own ki stopped her before the ocean took her, and once more she used it in a fierce burst of speed. She cut through the air like a lightning bolt, aiming to slice right through the boy and knock him even higher into the air before he could completely recover from the strenuous attack. The full heavy metal of her chassis lit up in purple ki again as she seemed to appear in his face once more, destroying the balance in speed he had created with the force of a plow truck using a nitrous oxide engine.
Whether she managed to plow into him or not, she made sure to position herself between Joseph and the beach. Her aim was to keep him out onto the waves where he would constantly need to expend his ki lest he fall into the water. It was her turn to quickly cup her hands to her side, holographic screens flashing, one, two, three, four--her voiceless chassis’ own version of the familiar chant--before a huge mass of ki shot out. It wasn’t Roshi’s traditional beam however. It would not push back at him, and it left her hands immediately to chase after him on its own. Instead it would explode on any impact he allowed, far stronger than his first attempt, sending crushing shock waves out as spray shot up again from the dark water.
She pulled one hand back from their outstretched form, and shifted it behind the other. Her hands clenched shut before they opened again, the violet ki turning a blinding white as the entire battle field was once again bathed into a light that would only bring darkness.
It was time for him to return to defense.
