Hurried steps of fright were pedaled by an unknown beneath the sky of twilight. A young man whos identity lay hidden beneath a hood and cloak seemed to be in quite the peril. He was being pursued by something hidden within the shadows. He was unable to see them clearly. But he knew should he be caught, the consequences would be dire. So he fled on beneath the veil of violent swaying trees in hopes hed go far enough to escape them. But they would not be deterred and continued the chase.
Fatigue was nipping at his heels, the danger of slowing down becoming more apparent. He would surely fall into capture at this rate! In the process of this chase, his pursuers grew intelligent. So he would soon find himself in dangers vice grip when one of his pursuers came at him from the direction in which he fled. He felt the sharp claw of his assailant swipe him to the side where he slide against the dirt, his flee effectively halted. But he tried to stand once again and continue on. Thats when they did appear in numbers via a seemingly airtight perimeter. He could hear their menacing hissing all around him. He was as a good as had.
The man let out a slight whimper, clearly taken by his fear. He knew not would become of him from here. As they pressed in for the finish the man shut his eyes, awaiting the end. Then a miracle descended upon him. And one did appear to his defense with the elegant tails of a garb fluttering in the wind as the person sailed by him. With the pressing forward of hand, effectively halted was the first of the creatures dipped in shadows. The man once again was unable to identify who had descended upon him to his aid. But as the person wailed out with the thrust of a palm in the other direction, the sound of the voice identified the gender as female.
Her palm thrust created a resounding force that sent the second of the creatures flying back through one of the trees. Three more to contend with for the moment unscathed. Surely shed change that. Her eyes shifted, her head whipped about. Her hair fluttered and with might shed give shout! Words incoherent to the ears of another. Something, something or other. But to her they made perfect sense. Her voice rained intense. As she chanted out the appropriate words, sounding them intending to be heard.
Ko sir nen aer wird node! In ten ken ho!
Releasing from herself was the wind, looking to do the assailants in. As the particles did trail, they fell victim to the spell. Of the magic words she did conjure. These silly fools became the honor, of the maidens witch-like wrath. Unfortunate events for them came into their path. Suddenly their goal of capture no longer mattered. Because the ones caught in the spell, their particles scattered. Now she sent them off into the sky, then smiled looking to the others she knew would try; to run, to flee, to escape. But unfortunately it was not their fate, their efforts far too late. For she pursued, she ran, she chased. Quickly catching up to them with haste. Then she did weave the magic words, caring not if her targets heard. She released upon them the same fate as their fellow kind, leaving nothing but their dust particles behind. Then she did send them away, allowing their original target the gift of being saved.
But now she wanted to learn his identity and just what went on. Sadly however, this person had already gone. Vanished clearly without a trace. Despite frustration however it was far from a waste. For she felt they would surely meet again. Face to face as fate would intend. For now she was indeed alone. With nothing left her she would make way for home. But who was this mystic maiden enacting a deed of right? As the moon shone upon her it appeared it was Kasume, mystic maiden came to aid beneath the sky of twilight.
