The sunset-orange haired girl held a red sparkling gem in her right hand as she passed around her room on Soul's ship. This is really weird. This thing is makes zero sense. She shifted the stone no bigger than her palm from one hand to the other. How does this thing even work? I was told just to concentrate and let it take me the first time, but concentrate on what? She sat down on the edge of the bed and closed her eyes. The teen tried to relax as she focused on bringing forth her Ki. She noticed that it seemed easier each time to use her Ki; it was like any other muscle in her body.
She wasn't sure what she what she would find within the crystal. She was told that everyone sees something different and that it would be different each time. Val took a deep breath. Ready or not. She felt the hum of the crystal as she tried focus her Ki to her palm holding the crystal.
The darkness gave way to something brighter. The area looked familiar but it wasn't the same as it had been the last time she was here. Her garden almost looked the same but the colors were wrong, and the plants seemed to be in the wrong areas. It was an odd site to see, but it felt like her garden from back at the place she once called home. She thought she would never see it again, but here it was in front of her, almost.

It was just a normal day for the pink-haired woman, she had just finished her training and decided to go to her room to relax. With her father off doing who knows what, she thought it'd make him proud to know that she didn't slack off. With very little friends she also didn't know what she could possibly do in her downtime. She could pester that man again who informed her more about her father.
She let out a sigh as she realized she really didn't have anyone else in her life to hang out with. Was that pink-haired moron all she had? Before she even had the chance to get caught up in her own state of depression, her eyes looked over at the crystal that she had on her nightstand. What was that? She couldn't remember, was it her father's? As soon as she walked over to inspect it, it was like she was sucked into another world.
When she came too she immediately looked over at her surroundings and came to the conclusion that she was back in that place Mr. Yan told her about. She saw plants, but felt a home-like appear to her environment. Instead of questioning it, Kari walked over to one of the plants and started to touch one carefully.
"Well this is pretty," she commented.

She crouched down to examine the flowers in her garden. All the flowers looked healthy and were in bloom. It felt safe here even though it wasn't the same as her garden. She heard small steps that she disregarded as the animals that normally would visit her in the garden, until she heard a small female voice. "Well this is pretty." Val sprung from her crouched position next to purple, what would have been orange, primroses and span toward the voice. What she saw was a woman with bright red hair.
Is this what they meant? I didn't realize I had a visitor here. I didn't know that I could have visitors that weren't invited. Is she why my garden doesn't look the same as it used to? Maybe she invited me? But then why does it look like my garden? This is why I should have gotten a better explanation before trying this. Oh well. The orange haired girl cautiously walked toward the mystery woman, both for her safety and as not to frighten whoever had joined her in whatever this place was. She came about ten feet behind her before she quietly cleared her throat, "Um, Excuse me. My name is Val. Do you happen to know where we are? I used a crystal-thing to get here, but I don't know where here is exactly. It looks familiar, but it's not quite right, if that makes sense," she gave a small smile toward the woman. She felt silly asking these questions, but she wanted to understand this place.

Immediately the pink-haired girl's ears picked up the sound of someone moving. If there was anything her father taught her right, it was how to hunt. She turned her attention to wherever the source was to prepare for whatever it was. To her surprise it was an orange-haired girl who looked like she could be about her age. Her face changed from aggressive to kind, curious to see if she could have found the friend she'd been hoping for.
"Hi Val," she replied back, "My name's Kari--."
Without realizing it, she almost had mentioned a fancy title like her father would have done. She stopped herself because she realized she didn't really have one, or rather not one to be proud of just yet. She then took notice of the young woman's confusion about where they were. Truthfully, she didn't really know either. The pink-haired girl was told about it, but one of the things she shared in common with Walid was lack of memory.
"This is a place where you can meet people," she explained, "I was told usually with people you're linked to in some way. I'm not sure how we're linked, but I'd love to be your friend. I like meeting new people unless they're mean."

The sunset orange haired girl smiled, "Nice to meet you, Kari. I will gladly be your friend. I do vaguely know this place. I was honestly surprised to meet anyone here. I didn't think you could meet someone here unless it was planned or welcomed specifically. Guess you learn something new every day. Anyway, why did you choose to use the gem if you know as little as I do? I know I just wanted to get a little fresh air. I've been on a ship for a bit, and I needed to clear my head," she laughed at the idea of fresh air. Val took a closer examination of the girl; she looked to be around the same age. Her hair was actually pink, not red like the lighting had suggested. She took in a breath of air and could smell the mix of the flowers. It smelt like her safe space. It sort of looked like her garden; it even felt like her garden, but she knew it wasn't her garden. She guessed that Kari had somehow mixed with memories with the garden to get this outcome, but it seemed the pink haired girl in front of her knew as little, if not less than she did about this place. "So real question, I was told how to get in here, but kind of forgot to ask how to get out of here. I'm not leaving yet, but it might be useful later on," she laughed both at her comment and her own stupidity for forgetting such an important detail.

There wasn't really much to tell why she decided to enter the astral realm, she simply just wanted to make a new friend. She, however, wasn't expecting anything to happen when she touched the flashing orb. There was very little information she herself had on what it even was. It looked like something the Avatar of War had collected in his travels and her curiosity went crazy at the sight of it.
"I honestly didn't know what I was getting into," she replied back, "I saw a flashing orb on my father's nightstand, but I wanted to come to this realm again because I just wanted to make a new friend. All I've been around lately is my dad and... he only wants to fight."
Trutfully, Kari did like to find but she had her limits. It also wasn't very fun when Walid didn't like to hold back. Where was the enjoyment when she was just a punching bag? Anytime she complained about that, he'd simply say it was to toughen her up.
"You can leave anytime you want, I was told there was a connection between two people so once you sever that, you each go back to where you were," she explained, "So you said that you wanted to clear your head, any reasons why?"

She said to leave, they would need to cut the tie, but there was no tie that brought them here, at least not that she knew of. That would become tricky, but that was a problem for later. For now she wanted to focus on what was in front of her, the here and now.
"Oh um... why do I want to clear my head. It's just been a lot lately. Kind of a long story. Hmmm..." she thought for a moment. "Let me see if I can keep this short. I didn't know about any of this. I'm just a simple human who lived in a shitty house with a fucked up family. Now within the last month or so I have traveled halfway across the world, study to fight and how to use Ki with too many people to count, and currently I'm in my bedroom aboard a ship to a planet I had never heard of. I didn't know there was space travel outside of the larger science-y places on Earth. But I'm here on a ship with a man I barely know and have no idea how I should be acting," the exasperated sigh finished off her lungs' capacity. She took a deep breath in. " Sorry. I have no idea how much you understood, but saying that all outloud was nice," she smiled to the pink haired girl. She was genuinely appologetic. She had never met this girl before and yet she was there telling her life's story.

The moment the sunset-haired woman mentioned that she had a long story, Kari listened very carefully because she wanted to be supportive, whatever the reason may be. She nodded and nodded, understanding everything that Val had to say. She, however, didn’t quite understand what she meant when she said Human. Weren’t they all humans? As soon as she said that she studied how to fight, it struck a nerve for her. It didn’t make her angry or trigger her.
She too wanted to know how to fight, but she didn’t want to rely on the way that her father chose to combat. He was wild and like a beast, but she didn’t want to be like that. With his power and strength, or at least to her, it didn’t matter how strategic he was. The pink-haired woman wanted to be more calculative. She wanted her attacks to have a purpose and a reason. It’s why she admired Bulma and the way she saw how she did combat.
“Unfortunately, I don’t quite know exactly how you feel,” she responded back, “I wasn’t raised in a crappy home. My father does get on my nerves and pushes his own dreams onto me, but I know he loves me.”
It was true though, whenever his antics had gone too far and she cried him, he’d understand. He’d stop doing whatever it was that bothered his daughter. That was at least from her paternal side. There was no telling how her mother fit into the equation, but her sister did care and love her. But all that she knew was that she at least had a somewhat loving home.
“It’s okay,” she said and then reached out to hug the orange-haired woman, “You never have to apologize for talking about your problems. It’s better out in the open then harming you from inside. If anyone should apologize it’s me for not being able to relate. It also doesn’t help that I wasn’t born the same way as most people from what I was told. I was told that I was made in a lab.”
