A smile crept across Vash's face as the first strike with his demonsbane hit it's mark, but quickly morphed into a scowl of confusion. Instead of cutting through Buu's flesh like a loaf of bread, the steel plunged into his arms and got stuck as if it were hard clay. "Well, that's different..." he said mostly to himself. The noise that resonated from the strikes made the Crimson Typhoon slightly uncomfortable. Again and again, his blades penetrated the creature, but wasn't getting the total effect that he wanted. "Damn, when was the last time I had these things sharpened?"
Irritation was giving way to frustration. With each progressive swing, the supernatural pink creature was able to twist and contort itself in unnatural ways, even detaching itself as his strikes whiffed through the air.
I can't tell if he's fucking with me, or if he's just that innocent... Vash thought as Buu's voice resonated in his mind, taunting him at every turn. A tap on his shoulder drew his line of sight to his side.
"Oh, I've got a great game for us, Buu," Vash hissed in his frustration, the demonsbane in his right hand rotated around his wrist. "And it's super easy to play. Hell, my ex girlfriend had this one mastered. It's called the statue game. All you gotta do is hold perfectly still and let Monkey Man go to town!"
Vash spun bringing his sword around with him, again trying to cleave the beast in half. His efforts so far had proved fruitless, and there was no telling how long either he or Buu could keep this violent game of tag up. With Kusu keeping Yamato occupied, Vash was able to focus solely on the nuisance before him. Vash had to find a way to make his attacks count. The strikes that had hit previously got stuck only an inch or two into Buu's flesh. More power. More momentum. Yes. That had to be the trick.
Vash continued his spin, picking up speed, like a whirling top of death he tried to slash at Buu again and again and again. In a swift motion he dismissed one of the banes, back to the ether, and grabbed hold of the remaining with both hands. He brought the blade above his head, and with maximum effort slashed from Buu's phallous head appendage to his feet, and then again from side to side.

The Angel cared nothing for this planet. Nothing.
It's people, families and ideals could vanish beneath the shadow of a meteor at any moment and she wouldn't bat an eye. It wouldn't be the first planet to fall beneath her crimson eyes, nor would it be the last. This area right here would be the staging point - the scorched sands and destroyed landscape would only be the harbinger of what would come.
With her vision impaired by the man made sandstorm that surround the pair, Kusu was forced to lock onto her opponents energy signature and track his presence in that manner. This had the unfortunate side effect of being unable to completely gauge an incoming non-physical attack coming her way and by the time her eyes caught the glinting of emerald green tearing through the sand particles it was too late. The thin blast collided with the Angel's right shoulder with enough impact to send the Bearer stumbling backward and to lose the grip on the ebony tipped stave; its long handle falling to the desert below with a soft thud.
Kusu felt the demon approach her and extend his open palm toward her midsection and the moment she detected a surge of dark energy radiate from his exposed palms, she worked to manipulate the destructive ki by drawing it into herself and warping the whistling and crackling attack into a shield of cold flame that surround her body.
In rapid retaliation the woman fixed her gaze upon Yamato and fired another quick, thin beam from the blood-red irises. Kusu twisted her right foot and dug it into the sand until the upper arch of her booted foot felt the girth of her stave and with a quick movement she pulled her foot upward and sent the glinting obsidian spear soaring into the air, twirling as it quickly descended down and gracefully fell into the powder blue hands of the Angel. The tainted halo around her neck flared intently as a gust of powerful, cold, energy pushed out from Kusu and into the direction of Yamato.
"Come, Demon. Show me what you fight for! Give me a reason to - " the Bearer paused her coaxing and smirked. Her right hand extended outward and fingers shifted upward like a ridge of daggers. As they were pulled to the center of her palm the air surrounding the Red one would become tight and increasingly hard to react through.

RAW DETERMINATION I'LL STAND BY MY BELIEFS TO THE BITTER END! Just as the jolt through his system disappeared, Yamato noticed the red eye of the Angel glisten before another beam shot straight towards him. The motion behind it felt cold and off, almost as if it wasn't something an Angel should feel like. But he couldn't put all the pieces into place, other than knowing that something felt off about this. Both of the demon's arms rose, feeling the beam break against the guard of his forearms as his boots skid back across the sands. Drops of crimson liquid began to leak from the small wounds forming along his arms, dripping down into the swirling dessert ground. With only a second to breathe, his sapphire gaze lifted towards Kusu, who began to twist her stave around once more, having it kick out from under her feet and rise into the air once more before it landed in her hand. The halo around the Angel's neck glowed, threatening energy to pulsate outward and cut into his body. It wouldn't have done much, but Yamato knew he couldn't take anymore risks than he already had. Concentrating his energy, he warped out of the dune of sand and appeared a little further to the right of the energy that had hit the rush of air. Just as he had gotten away, however, a grunt escaped from the demon as he closed a single eye closed. Everything felt heavy all of a sudden as it grew difficult to move. A snarl had formed over the demon's face, out of pure defiance as his fingers flexed in and out of the palms of his hands. He had been asked to show what he fought for and even though he had been stunned yet again, he felt his lips curling into a grin despite it all. "I'll show you that and then some. Even if you take this world from me, I'll keep coming back. You'll never be rid of me." And he was prepared to show it with his actions rather than lofty words.

Buu: PL - 178,524  481/3,384 The childlike demon watched as the red coated monkey slowly seemed to lose his composure over the course of their exchange, and in spite of the difficult situation he was now faced with Buu couldn't be happier. Playing with the dangerous primate had been a blast so far, and the fun and games showed no sign of slowing down anytime soon. However, as the Monkey Man proposed his new game the little hell spawn's brow creased heavily in disappointment. Monkey Man's game sounds boring. Buu no want to play hold still... Buu want play different game! Monkey Man pick something else or Buu no play!The monkey in red didn't respond with words, however, instead he had begun to spin his body into a deadly dance bringing his blades once again to bare against the bubblegum demon. As quickly as possible Buu crunched himself into a tight ball to limit his exposed surfaces and began a spinning motion of his own following the momentum of his attacker's strikes. There was a stinging pain along his back as the first bite of the blade cut into his putty-like flesh, yet the rotation of his body kept the wicked metal from slicing in too deeply. Buu forced himself to laugh through the pain as he began to rapidly move his now ball-like form up and down, along with keeping up his spiral motion, hoping that his actions would keep him from taking the worst of the Monkey Man's killer top assault. Buu pushed his body harder than he ever had before forcing as much speed out of himself as he could in order to create ghost images of his movements behind to throw of his attacker, however, try as he might he was not able to avoid all of the furious swipes leaving his defensive configuration to soak up all the damage it could. Suddenly the red coated warrior drastically changed up his attack pattern, and sent a powerful vertical strike coming at the pink child rather than a horizontal like all the others. That change alone was enough to catch the bubblegum being by surprise leaving him unable to avoid the wicked blade that cut deeply into his body to completely stop all his previous momentum. Buu cried out in agony as the follow up attack likewise sliced deeply into his still body, as the blade retracted from his skin the pink hell spawn unfolded revealing the savage cuts that the Monkey Man had left upon his unusual anatomy. With a heavy grunt the demon spawn known as Buu willed himself to heal and with a soft plop the cuts vanished leaving no visible trace there had ever been any damage. However, even as the child tried to retain his composure, as he waved the monkey in red to come at him once more, his heavy breathing betrayed his current condition. The Angel rushed toward Yamato, the air surrounding the crimson angel grew tight and the heat rapidly turned into a blistering cold front. Kusu neared the target and shot her foot upward in an attempt to catch the Demon off-guard and to sent his form soaring up into the sky.
"I'm very unimpressed thus far," the Bearer muttered as she ascended into the air and darted toward the man as the air shimmered around her and raced to embrace the soft, armor covered flesh. Kusu made a quick strike with her right hand, aimed square at Yamato's chin as they flew alongside one another. The braided ponytail of the small angel fluttered through the air as her entire body spun around and she struck at the Demon's chest with the back of her tightened blue knuckles with enough force to send him crashing into the sand dunes below. She pressed the attack by following her opponent and digging both of her feet into his chest area before pulling away from the displacement of sand that would have been created.
Kusu's staff flew from her hands and suspended itself in mid air above the Demon with the obsidian blade pointed downward. The ancient spear plunged downward multiple times with such speed that it appeared to duplicate itself as it fell to the earth below. Each time the blade attempted to penetrate the mans vitals and leave the sand he sat upon blood soaked.
The Bearer dashed forward and wrapped her slender fingers around the staff and left behind a lingering essence that rapidly formed into a pulsating sphere of energy. The tip of the blade was plunged into the sand and drug forward as Kusu rushed her target - she struck by twisting the blade to its side and heaving a clump of sand at Yamato's face, proceeded only by the blade aimed toward his face.
Kusu pulled the butt of her spear upward and struck at her opponents pearly pearls that sat in between his legs as she slid back and retreated to the swirling mass of energy and took it within her hand, cupping it neatly within the confines of her cold palms. A slight lifting of her right hand followed by pushing out her left hand allowed the energy to pour from her hands and form a pale white beam that crashed down into desert below.

”Jesus Christ, how long can he keep this up?” Vash muttered as he continued to swing. He was making a dent, at least he thought he was, but at what cost? Sooner or later, something had to give. At least, that was the hope.
”You chose this, you son of a bitch…” the demon’s eyes squinted as he answered Buu’s request to play a different game. Both he and Buu’s breaths heavy as fatigue began to set in, but for very different reasons. Vash was all out offense, hacking and slashing to the best of his ability, looking for that homerun strike that would create some distance between the two. Buu, on the other hand, seemed content with a defensive approach the likes of which Vash had never encountered, and one that had him figuratively scratching his head. How was this going to end?
Sooner or later, something had to give…
”Just-” A heavy swing of his sword across Buu’s chest.
”Hold-” Another slash to amputate Buu’s left leg.
”The-” A strike from south to north.
”Fuck-” A spinning slash looking to cleave Buu’s head clean off.
”Still!” From Buu’s left shoulder to his hip.
Vash raised his blade above his head with both hands. Keep it up, Kusu. We’ll end this our way, he shot at his partner telepathically as he gritted his teeth, readying the big blow.
”Congrats, Buu. My forearms haven't got this much work since the dry spell of ‘97. But, even that came to an end. Literally. And this will too.” Vash brought his blade downwards, again looking to divide Buu in half like 6th grade math.

RAW DETERMINATION I'LL STAND BY MY BELIEFS TO THE BITTER END! Yamato glared ahead from between his crossed arms, a few heavy breaths of air escaping him as he steadied himself. The defensive tactic was smart and clever and would help him in the long run. That's what Tarble and Akito always taught him, but even as he played sentinel, he wasn't doing much to his opponent and there wasn't much room to move when they weren't letting up. It was now or never. If he didn't do something now, this was all going to end with him holding his ground without even making a dent in this newfound enemy. "Never again," he whispered. Sapphire irises watched as the Angel dashed right towards him and through the fiery wall that had formed around them. She murmured about being unimpressed and a small chuckle formed in the base of his throat. "Yeah, same here." Not because this Angel didn't pack a punch or wasn't good at what she did. No, he'd never underestimate someone, even an enemy. But this battle was far too stagnant. Yamato had made his claim that he'd keep coming back, no matter what. With those words lingering in the air, the time to act was now. This next move would be risky, but he had to do it in order to get any sort of progress. Each blow started to slam into his body, his arms having fallen to his sides as he lowered his guard. Each strike dug into his skin, small dribbles of blood staining the sands of Juno. Yet he didn't move, no, he was focusing on something. His energy started to form in his abdomen, his hands clenched into tight fists as he gritted his teeth. He took it all. And with a roar rippling from his throat, it bellowed out just as those sparks of energy flew out every which way and hurdled straight towards Kusu. Explosions rang out as they arrived at her person and even though he felt pain from every blow she made landing on his body, he pressed forward. No, he ran straight towards her, like an animal attempting to lunch at its prey. This Angel was very skilled when it came to avoiding some of his moves, but he hoped to the Kais on his side that were watching him that he'd at least land this. That energy swirled inside of him, having charged up much like his prior move and he felt it as it started to rise within him. His feet dug into the ground as his head craned back, his screaming barely heard over the massive explosion that shot out from the palm of his hand that aimed directly for the crimson angel. The energy rippled out past his feet, shooting the sands all around them in a momentary makeshift twister.

Buu: PL - 178,524 348/3,723 The young pink demon sighed heavily as once again he saw the monkey in red raise his sword and readied himself to attack. Both warriors seemed to have grown weary of this little game of theirs, however, and Buu had not yet finished catching his breath when the first slice of the blade tore through his small form. The world seemed to slip away from the bubblegum child as cut after agonizing cut cleaved right through him leaving the hell spawn to be devoured by pain. The intense pain quickly faded into the cold numbing sensation of nothingness as Buu's mind retreated within itself in an attempt to run from the agony. However, while hiding there within his own mind the pink being had the sudden feeling that he wasn't alone. Sleep... Buu.... I play with him now... Fear gripped hold of the bubblegum being as he felt himself being dragged down into the darkness, the last thing he heard before everything faded away was his own twisted laughter. Having reformed into a solid mass once again Buu stood there before the red coated warrior his eyes aglow with an ominous crimson hue. Suddenly the pink beings head snapped violently from side to side before twisting completely upside down as he glared upon the man that had just cut him to bits. We no like you very much... We no want play with you no more...The child's head quickly snapped around back to its rightful positioning as his hands began to glow with a sinister crimson light. Without warning the hell beast leaped skyward as he crashed his hands together ushering forth a beam of energy that raced towards his attacker. Even before seeing the results of his first blast the unhinged demon let his energy swell to even greater heights within his palms, a manic laughter filling the air around him as he looked upon the monkey with coldness in his eyes. A flash of white slipped across the robed Angel as her opponent spoke. That same grin grew to even wider lengths as the Demon stood in defiance against everything that had been thrown at him. Like a strong pillar that stood against the storm, so too did he forbid Kusu the pleasure of seeing him fall to his knees and cry out. Though this was to be expected against any warrior worth their salt.
The stakes had been relatively low thus far so when Yamato's body surged with cackling energy that electrified the air surrounding his form, it had also released an aura of excitement through the air! Singular grains of sand seemed to rise into the air as they had been helplessly drawn from the expanse of desert they all stood upon. With little warning the Demon had successfully charged his attack and fired a series of explosive blasts that whisked through the air and exploded against the Angel's covered pale blue skin. She doubled down and drew both arms upward in an 'X' formation across her upper chest and face.
Kusu enjoyed the pain of the vibrant energy that assaulted her very being. It was a mark of a good opponent - but more than that, it was fuel for her own mark!
The Demon cut through the air and rushed toward the wayward Angel and once more his palms exploded with violent energy that threatened to engulf her complete and wholly with the leading head of the beam rapidly expanding in its desire to take the petite-statured being. Kusu would combat the energy by quickly thrusting her hand forward and drawing the bulging energy into the palm of her hand like a funnel that tapered off from the bulging midsection of the attack.
"I believe it's about time for you to leave this place," Kusu grinned to the demon as she gripped the handle of her stave and attempted to slam the butt of it square into Yamato's face in an attempt to create a deal more distance between the two.

If there was one trait Vash had cultivated over his lifetime, it was persistence. No matter the challenge that lay before him. No matter the defense. The rejection. The restraining orders. The pepper spray. Nothing would push the Crimson Typhoon to throw in the towel. And his persistence, here, finally paid off.
His relentless assault on Buu had finally paid off, his blade finally hitting his mark, and break through the bouncing, morphing ball of goo’s defenses. Vash couldn’t help but be slightly discouraged by the results, as that rubbery skin of his quickly patched itself up. But, aesthetics aside, had his attacks actually worked? That still remained to be seen.
The immediate payoff was the space that now stood between them. Vash, hunched over and breathing heavily after exerting himself in his onslaught, locked eyes with the creature. Something was different. Something was off. Gone was the childlike innocence in Buu’s eyes, replaced with a feral seriousness.
Oh, that can’t be good… Vash thought as Buu’s head contorted unnatural, spewing a line that made the Crimson Typhoon gulp nervously.
Buu leapt into the sky, power level spiking, and unleashed a devastating beam of energy. Vash had managed to piss this thing off, and it was looking to get some payback. The Crimson Typhoon grit his teeth as he held his demonsbane out in front of him. His legs jolted backward to brace himself as the attack slammed into the blade. The steel began to glow a blueish hue as it drew the energy within itself. The aura raced down the hilt, transferring the glow onto Vash’s arm.
”Shit!” he cried out as a second wave was hot on the tail of the first, this one with even more power to it. It slammed into Vash’s demonsbane like a battering ram, sending the blade spiraling out of his grasp, sticking into the earth far out of reach. It was all Vash could do to brace himself, his arms racing across his chest to block the rest of the strike.
Jet black hair began to rise from the dust cloud that had settled on the battlefield, an after effect of Buu’s destructive assault, giving way to the rest of the Crimson Typhoon as he rose into the air, his bare chest covered in blood and dirt. His arms were flexed at his sides, energy surging within.
”You don’t want to play no more, Buu?” Vash hissed between heavy breaths. ”I wouldn’t want to play with me right now, either…”
Vash continued to rise, channeling his power, readying a powerful attack.
”Yamato!” Vash yelled out, refusing to take his eyes off of the pink monster. No, he had already learned that partivular lesson. "I didn’t want to have to do this, Yamato. But, you’ve left me no choice. This is your last chance. Leave. Now." His voice void of its usual bounce. One arm aimed at the pink monster, the other extended out towards Vash's friend in Yamato.
Vash unleashed his pent up energy in a series of ki blasts, a half dozen for Buu, the rest meant for Yamato.
