Kari or Cauli have 24 from now to get a post up or their claim is forfeit. This must be declared by the opposing forces in OS Chat to be valid.
A reminder of the rules are below:
- They will be 2v2, max. (When you begin your claim, you must name your +1. Any challengers must also name their +1 in their sneak post) - They are No Kill/Steal (if you lose, your character will be overrun by enemy forces, and you'll have to escape the planet. This doesn't require anything special from you, its just an IC excuse to end the battle) - Win Conditions: When the average damage of a side in battle reaches 50%, that side loses. If the battle reaches the end of Round 3 (standard 3 posts each per round), then the Fallen Forces lose. - Everyone will receive 4 actions per post (there is no speed action/tactician/etc). Stuns/DZ/similar techs will still work. - There is no healing of any kind. (There may be exceptions, but we'll tell you when the time comes) - Each combatant may bring in 3 prepped items. - Finishers are unusable. - In the interest of keeping this phase moving along, the 24 and 48 hour rules WILL be in affect. - Anyone that loses a battle must heal for 7 days before they may participate further.

In addition to having had the longest life imaginable considering she had only been in the mortal realm for approximately sixteen years, Cauli had be left thoroughly unimpressed by the mortals on planet Earth. While there had been a couple of standouts, by and large earthlings had possessed none of the characteristics that she sought in allies and friends. There was also the matter of the Saiyan Empire in this galaxy. Cauli didn’t understand why but there was something that was keeping her from seeking them out – it was a sense of foreboding that she didn’t fully understand. As soon as she had able, she hopped on a space bus to Kelioux, where she encountered the galactic war for the first time. The path ahead was obvious – thought she was far from righteous, she hated the thought of demons running things after all of her time spent with them in Hell.
Thus it was that she was now here on Ippen, attempting to convince the locals to lend support to what she was assured by her superiors were literal gods. As a commander within this ragtag group of god-fearing individuals, Cauli had her own quarters. It was here that she stood, looking at her reflection in the mirror. There could be no doubt about it – something that she had been exposed to on Kelioux had started a metamorphosis in her. What was formerly raven black hair was now definitely red. Her skin was paler and her tail was shrinking. Back in the sleeping area, her communicator beeped. Several words displayed at the top of the mirror and Cauli sighed to herself.
Having received the message from command that fallen forces had been sighted in the area, Cauli had hastened to the training ground outside the city and raised her power level as high as she could without having warmed up. It was her hope – no, that wasn’t right. It was command’s policy that civilian casualties should be avoided at all costs. For her part, there weren’t many things that Cauli cared less about. Already she had started a black market selling fake artefacts from the planet’s core and was making a tidy profit on the side.
This training ground was designed for use by martial artists. It consisted of numerous raised platforms but was for all intents and purposes, an arena. The platform was held aloft by anti-gravity engines beneath it. Though they were prone to sabotage, Cauli could fly now so wasn’t concerned. Beside her stood Kari. Cauli was yet to have much to do with her fellow commander but hoped she could count on the woman to have her back in this fight.
In front of her stood two opponents. One was a behemoth of a man and towered over the other, but the two had their similarities as well. Their orange hair almost seemed like a uniform – perhaps the fallen only took these people because they didn’t have a soul of their own. It was at this point that Cauli’s memory flashed to one of her reflection since the start of her metamorphosis.
“Fucking Kelioux,” she muttered under her breath, assuming that this transformation was caused by something she had been exposed to in the Empire.
She hopped nimbly from platform to platform, leaving her partner in her wake and drawing closer to the men identified as commanders in the fallen faction. Once she drew close enough, a bolt of inspiration hit her. If the hormonal responses from the teenage Saiyan or the creepy old master back on Earth were anything to go by, the female form had a soporific effect on the men in this universe. She stopped roughly twenty metres from her opponents and grasped the loose collar of her gi. Beneath it was a simple sports bra and a pair of tights.
“So, I had a thought, Commanders,” she said, putting unnecessary emphasis on their titles, “how about we skip this whole war thing and go straight to the after party. There’s no need for you to invade this backwater shit-hole.”
As a punctuation point to her suggestion, Cauli the collar down, exposing her sports bra. Then, for just a moment, she pulled the sports bra down as well. Perhaps these commanders would be shocked by her conduct, but perhaps not.
“Or am I not your type? Perhaps you much prefer each other.”
As quickly as she could, Cauli sprung into action. She jumped to try and deliver a snap-kick to the taller man’s chin before landing and swinging a heavy punch at his stomach. Interested in demonstrating to these lads that she could indeed handle both of them at once, Cauli switched fire to the smaller of the two. She charged in his direction, aiming to tackle him to the ground so that she could bring her clinch game into play.
The war that was going on in the world… was a complete mystery to the pink-haired woman. Since she was taken in by the Paladins after her father quickly abandoned her, it was only fitting that she sided with the ones who were allied with them. She had heard that the Kai forces had stationed their base on what was known to her as her home planet.
Conflicts didn’t really interest her much, but she was still asked to head over to Ippen to try and stand guard for it. Unfortunately for her, there were a lot of complications with that. Her superiors didn’t seem to understand that she didn’t possess the ability to fly. Thankfully there were kind locals that carried her around. It honestly made her feel weak and more of a nuisance than a defender like she should have.
“Thanks,” she said as someone lifted her over to a platform that would be staged for their battle.
She looked over at her ally and wondered if they had any hope to come out on top. Sometimes the pink-haired woman wished that her father was around more. It was his job to teach him things, like how to fight, what war was like. Why did she even agree to fight for a cause she didn’t completely understand?
Kari’s face then grew flushed as she watched what her “teammate” did. She didn’t know what to do, should she do the same? Was that their strategy? There was a lot about the world that she didn’t know, but sadly her parents weren’t around to help her out. She decided to remove her shirt to show a bra and then she struck a seducing pose.
“Yeah…” she added and blew them a kiss, “You don’t really want to fight us, do you?”
It, however, was all going to be an act meant to lower their guards. It wasn’t Kari’s style exactly, but she wasn’t experienced enough to come up with anything herself. She lunged towards their opponents and swung her fist at one of them in an attempt to land a hook across their face. The pink-haired woman used her momentum to keep going forward into a spin and grabbed a knife from her undergarment. She kept spinning, getting lower as she went.
When the time was right, she went for a slice at the man’s leg with her dagger and then brought her fist up to try and land an uppercut towards his chin. Hopefully if that was enough to cause him to head backwards, she’d take that time to land another cut with her blade at his torso next. Again, she tried to pummel with her left fist and chased afterwards with her weapon using the left.
By that point she felt as her chest kept bouncing and wondered if her ally was really onto something. Men were easy targets from what she learned herself on her own. Kari repeated that maneuver once more, hoping that it’d be enough. It wasn’t exactly a viable strategy she thought, but it was better than nothing. Once again, she was still learning how to fight. Where exactly was her father in a time like that? Ippen, the gas giant so deep in the Kelioux Empire’s territory that it was considered almost beyond possibility of invasion.
The Fallen had moved quickly, establishing a forward command post in orbit of the planet and deploying troops before Kelioux had even had the chance to wake up and smell the coffee. And what a bitter coffee it would be - half a million Fallen troops, battle-hardened and ready for war, versus an unsuspecting gaggle of miners and business men. It would be over before it had truly started, but the Fallen had decided to take a step further to ensure that it would be done before Kelioux could retaliate.
Recoome floated above one of the larger islands, eyes keenly trained on the troops below that were establishing control over the city. They moved with military efficiency, destroying any opposition and capturing key checkpoints that they would easily be able to defend. Recoome had established himself above, with a birds eye view of proceedings as well as scope to spot any kind of trouble arriving over the horizon.
A small beeping pulled his attention, and he raised a hand to his ear. A full scouter materialised over his eyes, displaying a small message on it - the Kai’s commanders had appeared at last, and were apparently ready to do battle. A smile grew on Recoome’s face as he pressed a different button on the side of his scouter, relaying the message to another compatriot of the Fallen forces - the mysterious ninja, Pain.
He took off towards where the commanders had been spotted, flying with a mixture of enthusiasm and joy. For weeks now he had been leading the charge of the Fallen, but he hadn’t yet managed to find himself in a true fight. Sure he had led skirmishes, but his opponents had fallen like leaves in the wind. He was after somebody more akin to a cliff face meeting the sea - at least he would be able to throw a few attacks before they collapsed.
The platform bearing the two commanders came in to sight after mere moments, and Recoome landed softly on the other side of the platform to them. His ally landed a second later, and Recoome spared him a glance and a nod before turning back to their opponents. They looked young, but Recoome had learned long ago to not be deceived by appearances.
”Recoome has never seen a collection of such vibrant hair,” he said to Pain, a grin forming on his wide face. Before he could speak to the two girls, however, one of them stepped forwards and began to engage them. Seconds later she was topless, and Recoome found his eyebrow rising up towards his crop of orange hair.
Her partner followed suit, but apparently more reluctantly - her face had turned almost as red as the first Commander’s hair, betraying this as no more than a ruse. A bark of laughter erupted from Recoome’s mouth as the first Commander rushed forwards, delivering a huge kick to Recoome’s unprotected chin.
Or at least, she had in Recoome’s mind. Her actual movement came a second later, and Recoome stepped nimbly aside to avoid the foot, wide grin still plastered on his face. The next attack that came hit him directly in the stomach, crashing against the heavy plate of his battle armour and sending a dull thud through to his stomach. He avoided wincing, managing to maintain his jovial facial expression.
”Recoome can only apologise,” he said to the girl who was up close to him. ”But Recoome prefers women, not little girls.”
Before he could return assault in kind, the commanders switched places and started their assaults again. This one had a sharp blade, and seemed to know how to use it. It came at his chest, but Recoome wasn’t about to allow himself to be filleted. His hand shot up and knocked the attack aside before his other arm rose, fist clenched. It burst forwards like a piston, aiming two successive strikes at the girl’s exposed stomach. Ancient runes glistened along the knuckles of his gloves as they moved, betraying the enchantments upon them.
To give credit where it was due, the girl did not stop her assault. She came at Recoome again with the dagger, but this time he simply raised a hand. Ice crystals burst forth from his palm, grasping at the oncoming arm and stopping it in place. The ring on his finger glinted knowingly, although this time it was not from the sun.
”Recoome does not know about you,” he said loudly over the head of the girl in front of him, speaking to Pain. ”But Recoome certainly has no issues in hitting a girl. But Recoome’s manners do go so far as to ask of your names.”
He paused for a second to allow them to give a response, but wouldn’t extend his courtesy any longer than that. With a grunt of exertion his fists exploded with ki energy, sending shockwaves through the air around them. They moved like wrecking balls, sending a pair of heavy strikes, one with each hand, at the pink-haired girl. Without wasting a moment he leapt over to the red-haired girl, aiming a strong punch towards the centre of her face.
”Recoome hopes that your parents taught you to share,” he said to the pair, the ki on his fists fading away into nothingness and leaving behind only the pain that was hopefully coursing through his opponent’s bodies.

In just a matter of weeks, Pain and his new partner, the brash and rugged Recoome, had not only secured Lord Frost's aid in the Fallen war effort, but had also marched onward to force the famed treasuring hunting king on planet Maverick to bend the knee. They had met little resistance, save a chance run-in with an Avalanian supply barge and its thin security escort.
Now on their third assignment from the Cosmic Emperor, the duo was meeting their first opposition. Unlike on Maverick, where the king threw open the gates and forced his men to gravel at their knees, it seemed that two young girls had come to oppose their claim over planet Ippen.
"One of them has artificial modifications," the android said softly to his partner as he landed next to the behemoth on the platform. An overly cautious warning.
Glancing at their surroundings, he pieced together that these girls had made sure to meet them in an area where a fight probably wouldn't cost any innocent lives. From this he gleaned that these brave Kai sympathizer fully intended on defending their position on the planet. He also learned that they had concern for more than just maintaining a strategic position between Frieza and Kelioux, they were also looking after the people here.
"We should keep the damage localized," he said to the brute at his side before the girls began their approach. They led with a friendly tone, and then flashed their barely-pubescent bosoms. It was a ploy that likely would have worked had the girls had read their audience better.
Moving on the misconceived hope that their distraction had gained them any advantage, the girls attacked. To their credit, they moved like a train team, attacking separately and then switching targets mid-assault. Against a more evenly matched pair of opponents, they would have been effective. Unfortunately, they were woefully unprepared to face two Cosmic Lords in open-combat.
Recoome was the first to strike back, launching himself against the pink-haired fighter while Pain blocked her partner's tackle attempt with a simple stiff-arm and side-step, leaving her lying on the ground at his feet.
"Don't force us to hurt you," the android commented as he and his partner switched focus. Pain now found himself facing off with the girl with the partially mechanical body. "Where did you receive your modifications?" he asked, the soft-glow from his lavender eyes brightening slightly.
At the girl's feet, the metal platform molded itself up and around her feet, attempting to hold her fast in place. There was another pulse of pale light from the android's eyes as he set a powerful gust of wind to force her to fall to the ground.

“My name is Cauli,” she responded with a smile, apparently unperturbed by his rejection of her wanton advance, “I assume you are Recoome? Who is your compatriot?”
As the larger man, Recoome's fist began to glow with energy, Cauli aimed to gently deflect the blow to the side so that she could dodge it and counterattack. Unfortunately she didn't count on the breath-taking speed with which he moved. He was much faster and stronger than Goku and Joseph combined, even if the latter was in his Super Saiyan state. At that moment, she knew that she had made the right decision to leave Earth, even if it meant leaving her friends behind for the moment. Rather than being effortlessly turned to the side, the blow slammed into her arm and pushed it back into her collarbone. These was eeven enough force behind the blow to necessitate a backward step.
He was much taller than she was, and doubtlessly had much longer reach therefore she had to get inside his guard. With two quick strikes she aimed to seize him by the back of the neck and the shoulder the give herself extra leverage to deliver her third strike - a strong knee to his sternum. From here she attempted to secure the handholds with more stability. It took substantial effort, but in doing so she would be able to attack two more times in rapid succession with the same knee strike.
As she went in for her attack, it was knocked back aside easily and caused her eyes to widen as her opponent’s fist shot at her stomach in two swift blows. It caused her to hunch over in pain for a moment, but she refused to give up. Unfortunately for her, she was stopped as a shield of ice wrapped itself around her. Kari was able to emerge from it, shivering from the cold, but was shocked as she saw the man’s massive arms come at her.
One after another, it was like he was aiming to squash her like a cockroach. Quickly she raised her arms to shield herself from the assault, but the second one was able to smash through her defenses, pushing her aside.
“My name is Kari,” she said, grunting in pain, “And don’t worry what my parents taught me.”
After that, she then found her feet slammed into place by the metal flooring and in that moment, she didn’t feel fear. It actually surprised her, but she didn’t for some reason. The big guy’s partner seemed to ask her questions, questions that she didn’t want to answer. The questions made her furious instead of afraid. That bravado, however, was no help to her as a powerful stream of wind slammed into her.
She let out a yell as she felt her body be pushed by a tremendous amount of power. It was almost enough to cause her to go unconscious, but she snapped back with a furious look on her face. Blood and fresh cut scattered around her bruised up body, and she wanted to nurse her wounds, but not just yet.
“You want to know who's responsible for what makes me, me?” she asked as she pulled her footing back and then rushed towards the man, “Go find her yourself and get them from her yourself.”
The girls reacted better than Recoome had expected - after all, they had managed to survive his first few punches. The one who introduced herself as Cauli went on the assault, throwing attack after attack at the behemoth of a man. As the girl’s knee came upwards Recoome pivoted and sent a pair of quick jabs at her inner thigh. Her knee didn’t stop however, and Recoome narrowed his eyes as he twisted his body out of the way of the strikes.
His fists glowed menacingly once more, and he started his own attack. The girl was close, so he had to be smart about his he attacked - but if there was one thing Recoome was good at, it was punching people smaller than him. He brought his fist downwards towards the girl’s shoulder, hoping to disable the arm and stop her assault before it could truly begin. His other fist came up in an uppercut towards her face, which was down level to his stomach. His first fist came in for a side attack at the side of her head before he pivoted and delivered a huge arcing uppercut at her chin, aiming to knock her clean off her feet and clear himself a bit of space.
Recoome released the breath he had been holding, eyes darting over to the other girl for a second as she spoke. ”You would be right that this one is Recoome - but Recoome would not wish to deprive his compatriot of introducing himself,” he said with a grin, eyes flickering to Pain for a second. ”It would appear that we have a fight on our hands,” he said at large, but it was accented with a hint of laughter behind his words. ”Recoome is hopeful that we won’t be too delayed here.”

A New Target
For reason's he didn't take the time to guess at, Pain noticed that his question bothered the girl. It was wasted emotion - whomever gave her the mechanical upgrades she now possessed should have done the same to her tragically mortal brain. "There are few things that my eyes are incapable of seeing," he said plainly, raising his hands into his typical fighting stance. "Your victory is one of them."
The girl took his challenge without a second thought, rushing headlong towards him. It was a mistake that a more experienced opponent likely would not have made - but one that Pain would take swift advantage of. When she reached him he dropped onto his upper back, thrusting his legs out to catch her in the chest at the same time. The momentum of the kick carried the android back to his feet. There was a small click within his head as a new comlink was established.
"Valhalla has entered into negotiations with the Kai forces. Vegeta insists that his General, Luther, is going rogue on this. Your new target is Luther," a feminine voice rang out over the com. Before he could reply, Pain heard a second click. The enemy couldn't track their communications if they didn't have time to tap into them.
With a stoic face, Pain turned towards his opponent. "There is no time to play games with you anymore," he said dryly, raising his arm with his palm held upward and his fingers splayed out. "Universal Pull." As the android squeezed his hand shut, the ground at his opponent's feet became a singularity as the gravity acting upon her grew a thousand times in strength. This was no love tap - he was bringing this battle to a swift end, and he knew his partner would be doing the same thing after receiving the same message.
"We won't hurt these people," he assured the girl as his other hand raised, each finger aimed at her. There was a momentary soft glow at his fingertips, but it was quickly replaced by a bright yellow light as an orb of pure energy formed in his palm. It floated slowly towards her, stopping somewhere between them. Without warning it sped forward, firing off smaller energy blasts as it tracked the girl if she tried to flee.

Cauli's fingers struggled to find purchase on the behemoth of a man, his size more than enough to overpower her preferred grappling style of fighting. There was an inward shake of the head as he first knee strike was disabled brutally and effectively by a blow whose finesse surprised her. Such was the nature of the blow that her subsequent strikes had considerably less venom and as a result the large man was able to slither free of her grasp in order to mount his own offensive.
The first strike came overhand, which was incredibly intimidating from such a large creature. She brought her off hand across to assist the target side in stopping the blow, which she noticed far too late was further empowered with energy. Such was the strength of this man that Cauli thought he was going to tear her arm free from its socket. A small wisp of smoke even rose briefly from the impact point. She shook it off, holding her arms in a cross guard that granted visibility up to the much taller opponent. This guard made it easier to block the subsequent uppercut, though she wasn't sure if the fist ever got low enough to be called an upper anything and she wasn't sure she prevented any of the damage from getting through.
In blocking the side swipe, Cauli was knocked slightly off kilter and as she righted herself, the final ki-enhanced punch smashed straight through her guard and into her face. She was knocked immediately onto her back, gasping for air for a few moments before she managed to right herself and continue the fight in her customary cross guard.
She was beginning to think that all of those lessons she’d learned from people like Yua and Bulma had been for nothing. Her attitude towards the fight reminded her of someone, it reminded her of how her father would have approached a battle. It bothered her to know that she was becoming more like him, but she didn’t have the time to think about that. Rather quickly, her opponent dug their legs into her, causing her to slide backwards.
The pink-haired girl winced in pain and then heard from the man that the time for games were over. Her fear suddenly started to surface at the mention of that, she didn’t know what those two were capable of. She wanted her parents again as she felt a crippling pressure around her ankles. Rather than give up, she struggled to move backwards, but only to begin falling face first towards the platform.
That’s when she suddenly had an idea to try and get free of the gravitational pull. It was a long shot she thought, but she used the gravity that was pulling down on her side to bring her fists down onto the flooring in one spot. It caused it to crumble through and allowed her a means to escape as she fell through it. Kari’s arm then got tangled up with what looked to be a heafy wiring as she looked down and saw what would be her death without that rope.
She didn’t know what else to do and thought she might call her father for assistance as if that would help. As soon as she pressed the button on her scouter.
"Dad..." she mumbled out as the connection went through.
But before she could say anything else, pellets bombarded her body. One by one, they collided with her, causing her to swing back and forth. The wiring that was fastened around her wrist tightened as screams of agony let out and into the speaker of her device.
Finally she came to a stop, bruised and beaten with parts of her clothing in tatters. The moment to give up was something Kari considered, but she wanted to be useful at least. If she couldn’t hurt her opponents then the least she could do was support her comrade. The pink-haired woman concentrated her energy to release a cloud of smoke that would escape through the crack she caused.
It would then try to plague the Fallen forces, aiming to blind and confuse them onto what was happening. She couldn’t free herself, but there was still one more thing she had up her sleeve as she aimed her free arm towards up through the hole. It then fired upward in an attempt to sucker punch her foe. Actions
To give credit to the pair of girls, they hadn’t run away or given up yet. That alone granted them respect from Recoome - not a lot of respect, but some. But as much as he respected them for fighting, he also disapproved of them for not choosing their fights wiser. His compatriot alone would have easily dealt with the young couple, but to go up against Recoome as well? It was tantamount to madness.
As one of the girls fell through the floor of the platform, a beeping echoed in his ear. He raised his hand to it, a holographic scouter appearing over both of his eyes. "Valhalla has entered into negotiations with the Kai forces. Vegeta insists that his General, Luther, is going rogue on this. Your new target is Luther.” He half turned his head to Pain, but he didn’t need to - he knew the android would have received the same message.
Before he could make his exit however, a flare of ki emitted from the hole that Kari had fallen through. Smoke began to billow, but Recoome’s powerful legs had already extended, pushing him high into the air above the clouded attack. His face fell into a grimace as he looked down - if they had to leave, he would have to make this quick.
Exerting his own ki, he raised his hands to either side of his head, fingers splayed. As he reached the zenith of his jump he lined up perfectly with the bright sun behind him, and a huge beam of light hurtled straight at Cauli. Grimace turned to grin as ki exploded around the man, launching himself towards the girl with his head bent and pointing directly at her chest. He reached her with an almighty crash, rolling away from the area with a practiced finesse.
He rose to one knee, eyes locked on the girl who was now almost of a height with him. His hands rose, palms facing upwards, and he funneled ki through his wrists and created a pair of identical discs of destructive purple ki energy. With a grunt he whipped both hands forwards, the devilish pizzas crackling as they cut through the air on their way to hopefully cut through their target.

Though the girl proved elusive enough to escape his trap, she could not save herself from the hailstorm of energy he unleashed upon her. As she dangled like a corpse over oblivion, she managed to use some sort of smokescreen technique. It didn't bother him - his gaze pierced straight through the smoke - but it would perhaps be an annoyance to his ally. Holding out one hand, Pain absorbed the smoke through a small red gem embedded in his palm. "Tricks will not save you," he called as he tracked a small projectile headed straight for him.
Rather than dodge out of the way, the android allowed the detached fist to slam into his chest. A less artificial being might have cried out, but this android had long since grown past the need for physical pain. "This has gone on long enough," he said. A bright light from his ally's side of the battlefield gave him an idea. He used his own energy to reflect the light back towards the girl's eyes, even as she continued dangling helplessly.
Then, with two deft swipes of his arms, Pain sent two discs hurtling towards his foe. They did not seek to mutilate, merely to incapacitate. With his telekinetic powers, he maneuvered a small platform under her - though not close enough that she was likely to remain conscious after the fall - before commanding gravity to once again act heavily upon her body. "Universal Pull."
