Vlad has 24 from now to get a post up or their claim is forfeit. This must be declared by the opposing forces in OS Chat to be valid.
A reminder of the rules are below:
- They will be 2v2, max. (When you begin your claim, you must name your +1. Any challengers must also name their +1 in their sneak post) - They are No Kill/Steal (if you lose, your character will be overrun by enemy forces, and you'll have to escape the planet. This doesn't require anything special from you, its just an IC excuse to end the battle) - Win Conditions: When the average damage of a side in battle reaches 50%, that side loses. If the battle reaches the end of Round 3 (standard 3 posts each per round), then the Fallen Forces lose. - Everyone will receive 4 actions per post (there is no speed action/tactician/etc). Stuns/DZ/similar techs will still work. - There is no healing of any kind. (There may be exceptions, but we'll tell you when the time comes) - Each combatant may bring in 3 prepped items. - Finishers are unusable. - In the interest of keeping this phase moving along, the 24 and 48 hour rules WILL be in affect. - Anyone that loses a battle must heal for 7 days before they may participate further.
The synthetic known as Vlad was pacing the stretches of the academy debating the pragmatism of the scholars vs the benevolent ambitions hampered by government compliance of Avalon paladins and by extension vlad's own secular support branch. Avalon heads did leave the paladins divided on their loyalties this was an issue vlad observed for the longest time since the steel legion war the hose divided from devotes of magics vs technology, the reforming branch to the punishment branch, the military and the extended emergency relief forces like Vlad. The conversations were quite thought provoking and tho they would have to respectfully disagree Vlad and his debate partner left feeling no animosity and fair deal respect for each-other they hand shake and parted on good sported terms.
This happy side venture would be shattered by his good mood. His internal com-link connected him to Avalon while his mind was assailed by screams of torment from the psychic world as he exited the psy shielded study hall he was cleared to do as a guest for debate.
So many suffering on Kanassa he had to help them.
Then he heard his superiors give him the dumbest order he has heard in some time. Only conceivably beaten if they said they harvested the CPU the leader pf the steel legion, restored it, and intended to put the no doubt reformed mind in control of the Avalon super weapons division.
“This is General of the 68th division of the protectorate high military console, I am ordering head support synth Vlad to - **Go to Damaskia and attempt to secure it for the kais....** ”
Vlad heard that order repeat in his head with the speed of electronic processing 458 times in seconds an avalanche of reasons not to came to his mind so that his head had to vent steam with how stupid an order that was. Wait a tick.... that mfer voice was registered in his data banks as pro establishment of artificial intelligence entities. This general was... so petty so vindictive that he not only wanted to make androids a criminal race he was willing to risk war with them again! Just to kill him. Sacrifice untold numbers of people just to get one repulsive soulless imitation?!
Another voice came up “hello I am Eriel Bathwit head CEO of an avalon interest agency and a seated senator and I second this order, you are to take your ship and attempt to set up a lasting base on-”
Before she could finish Vlad appeared in the office “listen to this!” Vlad played the psionic screams and begging for help I am going to answer them.”
“You are defying a direct order from an actual paladin who outranks you, robot. Do as-”
“nothing short of a unanimous agreement from the higher ups of Avalon and the totality of the senate will get me to land on Damaskia as a military move. I want that scorched onto a tablet of steel, I want that clear as crystal to you”
“you are out of line soulless machine I will-”
“and I have just transmitted your orders and this conversation to the heads for examination. If it was up to me, your conduct and endangering the well being of countless with your petty hate of me and my kind. Rest assure I still think you should have sustainable living held to you as no sentient being should perish cold and hungry in my book, your life style would be accommodated for, but your self fulfillment in a job, you should not be trusted with greater power or privilege then a meter maid.”
with that Vlad vanished to Kanass he arrived in a clearing to find imps toying ith a bunch of children over the beaten tortured bodies of their parents the imps cackling as the children cried begging for help any who would care to hear,
one of the imps took a bite out of a father and tore flesh from it before Vlad hit it in the spine with a finger beam crippling the creature before bringing his boot down on it's chest collapsing the demonic approximation of lungs returning the fiend to his nether home
before the rest of the impish soldiers sent to run free in clearings like this with their captives could come up to combat readiness the blue plated android blasted them to in rapid succession of single finger beam blasts then flipped the landscape to wrap up the demons sending them back to their homes in the hells.
He contacted his ship and had a bunch of his units dispatched to the location to tend to the families that were tortured. He zero point energy mended dislocated limbs and seen to their well being
his troops took the fast lane through space and arrived a few hours into Vlad clearing a bunch of the demonic forces rank and file cannon fodder seemed the psychic planet as of yet was not high value in maintaining control of so his forces of 115,000 to his warship with 500 hardened survivors trailing as far back as steel legion who given up practically their entire bodies to serve the protectorate and its philanthropic mission statements secured a parameterize as Vlad fanned out alone to take out a load of the fallen. He could have stood to be significantly stronger but he hoped to at least save a load of the physics who aided him in refining his higher AI functions.
A new presence was detected and due to the modifications given by his maker to grant him control back to his frame he hiked up into general sub-system combat algorithms code name “next gen” as his systems optimized for higher speed processing and augmented reaction time to his base functionality.
His eyes went into an electronic blaze of green.

Subaru used to believe that he was destined for greatness. That he had a higher calling. Unfortunately life taught him some hard lessons, primarily that he was devoid of any talent for, well, anything. Martial Arts? No good. Swordsmanship? Not at all. Yet this begged the question....
Why was he being dragged to a different planet?!
Planet Frieza had been overrun by enemy forces. The hostile takeover was actually not quite hostile at all. There was some resistance, but for the most part, those who held the PTO Emblem became meshed within the "Fallen"'s forces. Who these beings were, and what their purpose entailed, Subaru did not know. He was quite behind on current events and unfortunately for him his ignorance would come back to bite him.
He was sized, weighed, and measured, before he was forced to wear the same armor that other Fallen forces had to. It appeared demonic in nature, something he read through the texts of his grandfather.
But it didn't take a genius to recognize a demon in front of one's face. Ghastly creatures that resembled goblins and ghouls more so than any other humanoid made them stand out like a sore thumb, especially on a planet such as--
"Listen up!" A commander of the Fallen forces bellowed to the platoon in front of him.
Subaru was broken from his stupor. Had he been day dreaming the entire time? Everything had happened so fast that he felt as if he had been encased inside of a whirlwind. Nothing made sense to him anymore.
Surrounded by demons, standing in formation preparing for war, he hand't signed up for any of this!
"Once we land on Kanassa we will hit them hard and hit them fast! There is no room for mercy! Understand?!" The Commander yelled to his forces.
In unison the platoon bellowed "Yes sir!" back to him. Pleased with the eagerness in their voice, a devilish smile crept upon his visage. Maybe the mission would be a success afterall.
Not good at all.
No, no, no.
Subaru's squad was tasked with clearing out a local village. He could tell that they were given the task because they lacked the ability to take on more complex missions. Regardless, killing wasn't something the untalented conscript was into. So instead of participating in mindless murder, he excused himself behind the tree under the guise of taking a piss.
Instead, he threw up his guts.
His squad had burned down the village and tortured the parents in front of their own children. The vile stench of blood caused Subaru to grow sick. Why did these things happen to him? All he wanted to do was--
Someone, or something, had arrived. The sound of one of his fellow soldiers screaming a blood curdling cry caused Subaru to peak from the bushes. To his shock and dismay, there was a man taking on his entire squad and effortlessly disintegrating them before they could flee for help.
Before Subaru himself could creep away, he was detected by the mysterious man.
“If you intend to hide, I must say that intent seems to eclipse your skill set. I am sorry to inform I detected your presence 22 minuets 45 seconds ago.”
What should he do?! No way could he fight someone that took out his squad mates! Should he surrender? Beg for mercy? No, who was he kidding. This was war for crying out loud. If he did beg for clemency then he would, at best, be imprisoned. And even though he never harmed a hair on anyone's head, he could be guilty by association.
Besides, this guy didn't seem to be in a merciful mood.
"Get it together Subaru...." He smacked himself in the face and shook off the sting that came with it. He could buy himself some time for reinforcements to arrive. Yes, that's what he would do. The combat gear that he was equipped with would be enough to hold off this man for a little while, but not forever.
His knees trembled when he took the first step and he nearly buckled under the weight of his anxiety. Yet he managed to compose himself when he was face to face with the man who killed his squadron.
There was something strange about his eyes. It didn't appear to be human. Only, it seemed to be. As if it was synthetic in nature. What was he?
"You detected me only because I allowed you to," Subaru said, speaking haughtily. His tone was flat and emotionless, trying his best to appear as in control as possible.
He stepped out of the shadows of the bushes, his presence was now illuminated by the fires that burned within the village. Subaru appeared to have been nothing more than a common humanoid whose appearance favored that of Earthlings. Even donned in Fallen battle armor and equipment, he seemed quite unremarkable.
"Why did you kill my comrades? I had the situation under control, no one was going to die," Subaru said. Truthfully, he knew that he couldn't excuse the torture that had occurred, but if he could frame himself as the commander of the squad, then perhaps the new interloper would be keen to speak with him.
"My name is Commander Natsuki Subaru, I had orders to maintain peaceful relations with the people here, and I shall see to it that this will be a clean and seamless transition. Now tell me, what is your name, and why are you here?"Actions: 1-4) Be scared-Hide-Pretend to be a Commander-Attempt to talk Vlad down
<this entity is.... not a bad actor in all fairness. Far worse make it to the big screen of earth cinema>
the android's face was a bit better at the cant be read department especially as he lacked an organics subconscious nervous reactions and things of that nature. He looked to the side fist looking to the exact degree of west he detected and then turning his notice south to a tree with what dna scans would say was that warrior's lunch. Dna matched.
He then returned his attention to him “bad day for the stomach virus isn;t it, Commander Natsuki Subaru? “ asked the android playing along while indicating he knew of the vomit.
He did not blink his voice flat and a light note of synthesizing. “I am 11th division frontier leader of the protectorate heavy tech support, An android. And I go by Vlad.”
Extra sensory went out and went to encircle them two a feeling of calm unnatural presence. The synthetic took information in and gave nothing out.
“Demons of the poorly disciplined sort or of poor quality leadership torture and draw power from pain they inflict. If you are as high on the chain as you claim then your competency had a hand in their deaths, the pain and abuse of one of my mentors on this planet is what drew me here. I am here to liberate the people of this world from the pain they are in. demonic entities tend to regenerate in the pits that spawned them when they are taken out of the mortal realm so I did such.” Vlad said matter of fact wise
“I intend to find your superior/ general maintaining the hold and portals on this world and eliminate them if they surrender I may have one of my allies disrupt their ki control and trap their ki in their body for the duration of this war, if not. You seen my alternative elimination method” 6ft of hyper alloy surged with power.
The android started to advance looking to walk past the person a machine's patience to simply go to the temple he detected the highest level demonic energies from and eliminate the portals and the planetary governing officer.
Three hundred and sixty degrees of awareness eliminated his need to see his opponents actions if hostilities would come
the machine would offer little that those attune to detecting biological life/ki but the machine carried himself fairly highly
what would this figure do?
1 communicate with the target
2 cast aura to serve as a means of measuring against demonic energies and natural phonics
3 power up to full in low hostile manner
4 attempt to walk to his target and close out the hostile forces reinforcements and eliminate the planetary commander.

The man that stood before Subaru took a moment to scan the area, looking to the side for albeit but a brief moment. It was in the same general area that Subaru had been hiding when he threw up his lunch behind the tree.
“Bad day for the stomach virus isn't it, Commander Natsuki Subaru?"
This guy....he knew?! How could he play this off?! Should he respond? What could he say?! He couldn't be a Commander that showed weakness, so confirming that he had been sick would make him look weak. Saying nothing would confirm it as well....was he in a no win situation?
The man continued to speak, “I am 11th division frontier leader of the protectorate heavy tech support, An android. And I go by Vlad.”
That explained everything. Those cold eyes, his brutal efficiency, he was a machine - literally. How could he reason with him?! Machines were logical, so he couldn't appeal to his emotions, that was, if he had any at all. There was nothing he could--
No wait, he was wrong. If this android had no feelings and only ran off of his programming, then that would mean that Vlad would have attacked him the moment that he said that he was a Commander of the Fallen forces. Instead, he chose to open a dialogue with him and reveal his name and rank as well.
So, he was merciful right? Although he had a mission to carry out, it wouldn't be impossible to say that he could be dissuaded...at least that's what Subaru had hoped.
This was a gamble. The invasion wouldn't last long, and every second that he spent conversing with the enemy was a second wasted actually doing something. But who was he kidding, he couldn't do anything at all! This was him doing something!
Demonic entities tend to regenerate in the pits that spawned them when they are taken out of the mortal realm so I did such.” Vlad said in a matter-of-fact manner.
Subaru listened intensely, doing his best to keep his expression neutral and maintain his thousand-yard stare. So, the android blamed him for his squad mates running amok. Just his luck.
“I intend to find your superior/general, maintaining the hold and portals on this world and eliminate them if they surrender I may have one of my allies disrupt their Ki control and trap their Ki in their body for the duration of this war, if not. You seen my alternative elimination method.”
The android's systems ignited to life, revving up and illuminating with emerald lights that glistened in the darkness. Subaru froze as the machine walked past him dismissively. What should he do?! Attack him?! No, bad move. He was ready for him. How he knew, he couldn't say, but he just did. Call it natural instinct.
Think. Think. What could he say?! What could he do?! Was he overthinking it?! He had to just go for it! He had to just do it!
"Let me correct one assumption that you have, 'Frontier Leader' Vlad," Subaru began to speak, his voice remained as neutral as possible. However, there was a hint of authority with his tone. He did his best to mimic his real Commander's charisma.
"I did not throw up because I was sick, I threw up because of my chronic illness. But make no mistake, it does not compromise my ability to lead as well as discipline my subordinates," Subaru said. If he could come off as reasonable, then maybe they could reach a compromise of some sort.
"I cannot allow you to take another step forward...." Subaru spoke as his hand shadowed his waist belt as if he was preparing for combat.
"...Not without reaching a compromise. You help rid me of those in my ranks who fail to maintain peace, including the one who harmed your mentor, and in exchange, you will call off your forces. Together, the people of this planet can live peacefully alongside the Fallen. There is no need for unnecessary bloodshed."
Subaru was getting more comfortable with his act, so much so that he entertained the idea of actually carrying through with his offer. This android was powerful, that much he could tell, so Subaru could rise in the ranks and eliminate subordinates who failed to maintain peace. Thus, no more fighting, and then no more war. And then maybe he could go back home!
Perhaps Vlad would take the offer and help Subaru bring peace to the world.Actions: 1-4) Talk to android-Keep talking-Talk some more-Ask Vlad to help him cleanse the Fallen in exchange for calling off the Kai forces
Vlad could not but figure a few unintended cracks were made in his own act tho he could explain them away easier in the act then this one.he could scan the vomit and diagnose no invasive germ, parasites, or other means that would biologically encourage vomiting. Vlad on the other hand could have been a keeper of the peace unit that identified demonic presence and as the subject before him was non demonic did not strike. Paladin order was known to be demon suppressors.
Vlad stopped “You likely are not on as high on the branch you portray beyond you my database suggest a powerful malevolence Azazel is willing to excuse and permit, one whos power far in a way outstrips mine. The android seemed unconvinced by Subaru's declaration. Not by his visage or any non-verbal cues, but by the fact that Subaru's gut told him as much.
“You likely are not on as high on the branch you portray. Beyond you, my database suggest a powerful malevolence, Azazel, is willing to excuse and permit, one whos power far in a way outstrips mine. Legions of demonic entities who are outside your command free to disobey you and torture the planets and others who have sworn loyalty to the conquerors, your offer is quite compelling to my core personality though I regret I do not see our moral objections being sufficient."
Azazel? Who was that?! And his power was far and away from this Android?! So, that must mean that he was the Supreme Leader of the Fallen Forces. That was information he had no inkling of. Dammit, if only he had known ahead of time he would have made a more enticing offer to Vlad so that he could maybe talk him down. Would they really have to fight?! He didn't want to, because the moment that they did, he knew that he would lose.
He wasn't a fighter, but there were times that he would be able to talk around certain tight spots. So, maybe this would be that time.
Time was of the essence anyways. If he continued to stall this conversation out then there was a chance that the Fallen forces would be pushed back, and Subaru would be imprisoned. He couldn't allow that to happen, but he didn't want to be mixed up in a war either. This was all above his above. Like, way, way above his head. For now, he had to do what was best for him.
Subaru's expression remained stoic in spite of his internal turmoil.
And it remained so, even in the wake of the android summoning an emerald aura that encased his body like a second skin. Or in this regard it would be called a chassis, wouldn't it?
“The world was conquered by the fallen protectorate had a history of warring with itself in the political arena and with generals combating for their tactics, they mucked up a good deal but they were not overtly malicious Darwinist survival of the fittest as many demons tended to. They did not break off captives fingers to munch on as literal finger food." Vlad paused then continued to speak once more.
“I cant go and leave the fallen to hold this place. I am sorry in the most sincere way my electronic vocals lack the capacity to convey.”
“My com blackout capabilities only extend so far and I have miles of forest to cross. Allowing you to go on the coms to alert your superiors to my targeting them is a needless complication. I am sorry but if you cant be reasoned out of your position with a malicious conquering force of malevolent pillagers and raiders... then I am going to need to subdue you.”
Vlad prepared himself for combat. Jagged rocks floated in the air, suspending themselves around him. Was he going to kill him?! Fear and panic set him, but again Subaru began to think.
No, this android was sincere, he knew that he was. He spoke of subduing him, but not killing him. There had to have been something that he could say, something that he could do, to get him on his side!
"I need to find a Master Paladin!" Subaru cried out, his voice was colored with emotion, far more than he wanted to convey. That's because he was being sincere for once.
"He's my grandfather, and he disappeared fifty years ago. He might be on this planet, but he won't show himself if the planet is overrun by your forces," Subaru began to say.
"You're a member of the Protectorate right? So you must understand that a Master Paladin will appear to quell demons. My grandfather was extremely powerful during his heyday. In fact, he was the most powerful man in the galaxy," Subaru spoke somberly, his eyes staring off into the distance. Of course, everything he said was according to his mother, but h knew that she had no reason to mislead him.
"Please, let the Fallen Forces onto the planet, even if it's only a few stragglers. I'm sure that will lure my grandfather out of hiding. If it doesn't work, then we will take them out. And if my story doesn't convince you...."
He reached into his pocket and revealed an ebony book that was so dark, it almost appeared as if he held nothing in his grasp.
Subaru tossed the book to Vlad, and if he picked it up and inspected it, he would recognize that it bore the seal of the Paladin Order, and it contained offensive and healing spells within as well as personal accounts of a Master Paladin named "Natsuki Kenchi."
"It doesn't have to be all or nothing. We can both get what we want here. The Fallen forces will be regulated to a small zone, and it will only be those who are willing to make peace with the locals. That will no doubt bring out my grandfather, and then I can finally meet him. Your troops can occupy the majority of the planet in return. Does that sound fair?"Actions: 1-4) Listen to the android -Keep Listening -Show Vlad that his grandfather was a Master Paladin -Ask Vlad to help him find his grandfather by allowing the Fallen Forces to occupy a small section of the planet
Vlad again looked on his holding a glacial face. Taking in everything giving nothing in expression.
The stones orbited the organic's flanks emulating a star system.
The android cast awareness over the planet his mind networking through the forest if one was so powerful to be called the most powerful paladin a presence would visit his awareness even if only searching for entities with... protectorate....paladin......demon slayer Vlad scanned minds for such nodes of memories to stimulate and register.
If one did show it would be the hay day far behind them or they would have went to fight Azazel and perished in the attempt reports filing out of a lack of conformation of the slaying of the entity. And as it stood the planet was blanketed in demonic energies if this river of demonic energy pumping like a slaughterhouse of chum on the sea would lure sharks then the paladin is in deep hiding perhaps even abandoned the order, or was dying.
Again the android had to shake his head. “i have the capacity to technological or bio locate any non native of this world my sensory array can peer into the deepest caverns cast scans on the catacombs in their entirety. I can find them if they remain on the planet galactic strongest may be a loved one in admiration overselling a champion tho master paladin does place them as high value to return to Avalon as well as speaks considerably as among the most well trained and capable on Avalon.” the android agreed with finding the paladin but as he said before the lost need not be set on to build power again and no doubt the reinforcements to be called in will be more a handful then the current forces.
“i do not desire for kanassa to be ruled by any, the terror the people suffered through this worlds existence I faced and gotten to know neither force will give the people the free existence they deserve, both would seek to abuse this planets power as a means to bread armies of telekinetic warriors and either provide lack luster protection outside demonic hordes or vile exploitation and making the race their play things. I am too low on the kai totem to prohibit kanassa for being another fether in a cap of the kai forces just as I suspect the fallen higher ups would laugh in your face if you were to instruct them to leave the planet alone. When I liberate the world and leave it one of my competitors for kai approval will likely try and seal its position and take the glory of my efforts, it is unfortunately like the way of things in war those that squander chances to gain resources will find themselves on the receiving end of them. And glory hogs do exist under the kais, you are a surprising find among the fallen, my data did not prepare me for such a social encounter with a supporter of the demonic forces. Awareness makes me doubtless of other supporters of the fallen are well meaning sorts that see military might to secure the future for the galaxy. War is seldom black and white and those who control factions and decide the future are rarely sorts that could put a purely good or evil pin in we call on our own evaluations, and we can not but hope we made as positive a decision as the situation permitted and that we can live with ourselves with what the fallout of those decisions turns out to be.. these Kanassins deserve to live free of either of our forces but.... telekinetic power to the whole army is not something either forces will want the other to have and.... will both covet. I do wish we could have met before this you seem to be far from one worthy of the horrors of war. ”
the android did not blink, did not move just spoke combat ready , if the figure had a scouter with a database of people likely some files on him under the name Vlad would exist. He was a vet of steel legion war and it was that conflict that earned him an honorary position in the organization he worked with.
Vlad closed his eyes “so I advise one final time, friend, take your ship and depart or take your transmitter and crush it then hide for me to finish my objective so we can find that paladin. Otherwise.”
Vlad tossed his posture into a crouch letting a goblin that mounted a stone behind him leap find only empty air to swing an obsidian dagger at and flung the imp over Subaru's cursing Vlad mouth dripping with kannasa born blood from an infant it ate vlad atomized the imps physical being a little over a foot up from his shoulder.
“I will need to administer percussive anesthetics.”
his finger glowing again with their previous concussive energies.

Subaru gulped. Would Vlad hang on his words? Or would the android turn him down? Fighting was a last resort for him, but unfortunately it would seem as if there would be very little choice in the matter after all.
He could hear it over one of his deceased squadmate's scouter. Their forces were being pushed back. Perhaps any minute now more reinforcements would arrive. What would he do then? What could he do? Would he turn on them in an attempt to prove to Vlad that his words were sincere? Or would he stand by and do nothing? Both options were desperate, but he had to do something - so doing nothing just would not cut it.
Vlad mentioned that he was more than capable of finding Subaru's grandfather himself if he remained on the planet, however, they had still reached an impasse.
The android professed that he felt that Subaru was a rare breed within the Fallen forces and wished that they had met under less trying circumstances, however, he was unable to turn a blind eye to what the Fallen were doing and planned to do in the future. His skepticism was fair, but --
Suddenly, a demonic imp leapt from behind Vlad. It was unable to latch onto him and instead, the Android subdued the imp. It didn't bleed the same color of blood that one would have expected since it....
Subaru turned away from the corpse and expelled more bile from his mouth.
There was an infant within its jaws!
Just what the hell did he get himself to? And when would the nightmare end?!
“I will need to administer percussive anesthetics.”
No, no, no, no.
Did they really have to fight?! Why couldn't they just talk it out?! There had to be some middle ground that they could find.
"That's enough..." Subaru shook his head. He was so...tired right now. He was exhausted. And he had soon enough.
"You're a Paladin right?! So isn't it your job to broker peace and not war?!" Subaru bellowed to him. Why was this android so determined to fight him? Did he not see that this was what they wanted from them?!
"My grandfather was a great Paladin, but in his personal journal he wrote that fighting should be a last resort. That's because...."
Subaru unbuckled his utility belt that housed state of the art Fallen weaponry and tossed it to the side, causing it to glide against the ground.
"A true Paladin doesn't need to fight!"
His eyes gleamed with determination and his hazel irises glinted with courage to face and stare down any threat, let alone the android before him.
"None of my squadmates will laugh at me for cleaning up the toxicity within the ranks. And even if they do, I will talk them down. Because...." He stole a glance at the demonic imp that devoured an Kanassian infant.
"...That's what heroes do."Actions: 1 - Listen 2 - Watch Vlad kill an Imp 3 - Throw up 4 - Tell him that he will get rid of the toxic troops in the Fallen
The synthetic entity vlad wanted to frown but did not allow it to break an impassive look.
“We cant look the other way when an active aggressive force is engaged in reprehensible acts. The paladins learned allot from the steel legion wars tho infighting does tend to happen with the secular branches and the more classical counterparts. But I watched personally what when indecision creeps in the consequences the sidelines. I wish only to see the hostile forces driven off so the planet and its people can recover.”
“it is an unfortunate reality that neither forces will leave this or any other world alone. Too much of their leaders pride and too many would be conquerors can validate their future pushes by holding planets under their belts”
he thought a moment on what all was said
“if the fallen wish to live among the people they can terminate their relationship with the command structure and look to simply integrate in with the planet, the military capacity of the fallen must be confirmed eliminated, their surrender will be accepted, weapons and gadgetry will be confiscated but they may seek to live with the people if they will have them. But I am having difficulties understanding something.”
he pointed to him “you claim family among the protectorate. Why do you not join the kais and fight with the Avalon forces? You can look to fallow your legacy and seek to become a guardian of light and the people or like myself simply an agent of the secular branch of the government to promote positive relationships threats to world well being and sustainability. Join me I will allow you contact with the leaders of the planetary demonic forces. Have them lay down their arms and surrender their military gear and they will be spared and permitted to continue the fallen on this planet will be eliminated as a force.”
they likely would come anew and the demonic forces anew would likely execute them but if they surrendered in official ways to relent the planet to the people and crush the portal to neathers it will be proof positive that they eliminate themselves as a conquering force
he offered his hand with industrial whirs “join me and show me the wise lessons you have picked up about being a hero”
honestly curious but in a practical strategy way buttering him up a bit. Vlad felt secure the years taught him the morality of a hero but some lack the objective measure of harm hostiles project. Harm can not be permitted at a point and the tortures and oppression of conquering forces where the strongest and most amoral typically call the shots on the conquered. He could not permit this to remain in the fallen hands as a conquered world.
1-4 attempting again to reason, pose the fallen surrender the planet as a militarily conquest and pursue living with the planet as equals, offer him to join him.

Vlad had a valid point.
Subaru's grandfather was a Master Paladin, a Cleric no less. Extremely powerful beyond comprehension, he wrote an entire spell book and his personal exploits were legendary. However, when he disappeared it was as if his existence left along with him.
Thus, Subaru felt as if he had no choice but to find him and maybe become half the warrior that he was.
Unfortunately, he failed.
His martial arts skills were minimal at best. He was in decent physical shape at the very least, however, he had no talent. His coordination was poor, and he was unable to keep up with even the most basic principles when it came to form.
When he approached the venerable Turtle Hermit to seek training and guidance just like he had heard countless other students had done, he was harshly rebuffed. It made no sense to him, and he didn't want to face the truth....
That he had no future as a warrior.
So as much as he wanted to take's Vlad hand and to join him on his side, he had to ask himself, what good would it do?
His facade began to bend and break as he recollected his past failures and transgressions. A true hero? What a joke. What did he know about that? Nothing. Not a damn thing.
"Sorry, Vlad. Maybe one day I will take you up on your once in a lifetime offer," Subaru said as he raised his hand up to kindly rebuff the android.
It was amazing how they managed to have an open dialogue in the middle of the village for so long, and do it amicably as well. Why couldn't everyone just be like them?
"But if I switch sides then I would be leaving a buddy of mine behind. I hope you can understand that," Subaru elaborated.
He then turned his back to Vlad and approached his waist belt. He didn't feel at all hesitant to turn his back on the Paladin because well....he was a Paladin.
Once Subaru picked up the utility belt and wrapped it around his waist, he drew a dagger from his pouch.
"Sorry that I was unable to change your mind. But..." He gripped his dagger tighter.
He was about to take a gamble.
There was a strange phenomenon that occurred once he was believed to have died. Maybe he could duplicate it.
"....Maybe next time."
He stabbed himself in the throat.
Blood gushed from his wound and it sent him sprawling onto the ground. Gargling sounds emanated from his wound, and blood pooled around him.
Finally, his vision went dark, and his body dissipated into embers of white orbs.
Subaru awoke back onto the Fallen ship within his bunk, just when the Commander ordered his troops to retreat.Actions: 1 - Listen 2 - Listen some more 3 - Apologize 4 - "Kill" himself/Flee
