After staking the Fallen's claim on Mortoseth, Commander Legion & Overlord Verglas of the PTO have set up camp there. Two little birdies have named Aria and Android R have come knocking.
Legion has 24 from now to get a post up his defense is forfeit. This must be declared by the opposing forces in OS Chat to be valid.
A reminder of the rules are below:

“Damaskian troops have been spotted on the plains, sir - it seems their neutrality was short-lived.” “So be it. Send work to Commander Legion that we have work to do.” ** At the head of the defending host, Verglas walked slowly. Legion was by his side, a trusted ally that had already proven himself in battle. But now their threat was even greater than the dregs of the Kais that had come against them mere days before - Damaskia was no idle threat to be trifled with. Verglas rolled his shoulders as he walked, trying to ease out the pain that throbbed through his upper body. His last encounter had been a painful one, that was for sure - and in truth he wasn’t fully recovered from the bout. With a grimace he looked down at one of the pads on his upper thigh. He hadn’t wanted to resort to such measure, but… He slammed his fist into his thigh, forcing a small needle to pierce his soft flesh from the other side. A feeling of euphoria spread through his body as his aches and pains faded away, a soft sigh escaping from his lips. He raised his hand in the air, halting his troops - this is where they would make their stand. The Damaskian soldiers were almost in sight, and it was as good a place as any. His sword came free easily from its sheath and he held it high above his head. “Mortoseth is ours,” he said simply. “Let’s keep it that way.” Without another with he launched himself into the air, hurtling towards where the Damaskians had landed. This was no time for small talk, nor was it time for grand speeches. This was time to get down to business - and business was good. He landed next to the strangest pair of commanders he had ever set his eyes on - a woman like any other, paired with what appeared to be some kind of squirrel. His face was stone as his sword came forwards, and the changeling warrior spun on the spot with it extended, aiming to draw first blood against both of his foes. Even as he spun, he was making further plans. His ki bubbled down the length of the blade after his first pass, soaking it a deep black. He made a second spinning pass, the now black metal glinting as it hopefully made a second laceration on each of the odd couple. But now wasn’t the time to sit on his laurels - he had to end this before they truly had a chance to high back. Verglas tensed his legs before leaping into the air, his sword held high above him. For a second he blotted out the sun, and then he was falling towards the woman. His sword came down in a huge overhanded slam towards the top of her head, but still he wasn’t finished - not yet. As soon as his feet touched the floor, a strange darkness seemed to gather at his feet. It appeared to be shadow, but anybody who had ventured there would know - this was the essence of the dark side of Mortoseth, and Verglas channeled its powers into his blade now. Already he could feel fatigue gripping his limbs but he ignored it, instead bringing his sword forwards in slash after slash at the woman. A small grunt escaped his lips as the darkness faded away, and Verglas saw the dark influence of his blade slowly fading from its surface. But he had to take the lead here, no matter the cost. He held up his open hand, forcing his ki to well in his palm. He bared his teeth before thrusting it forwards, a ball of ki energy hurtling at her. Ki attacks such as this were not his forte, that much was for sure - but he had learned enough at the hand of Lord Frost to make himself a danger to an unprepared foe. His attacks concluded, he fell easily into a ready stance, sword held at his side to bat away anything that the pair might throw at them. He had been unprepared when invaders first came to Mortoseth, that much was for certain - and he wouldn’t let it happen again. --------------- 1. PTO Accelerant 2. Whirlwind @ Both (DR4) 3. “Word from Overlord Verglas, sir.” The voice of a panicked warrior broke through the silence that had swept over Legion’s room. The Fallen Commander sighed, he already knew what was coming. “Sir, it is urgent.”
Legion stood without another word, his hands grazing over the laces on his gauntlets and pulling them tight. “Gather the Fallen,” He said in a monotone voice, he was not afraid of death, but failure was an option he did not wish to experience again.
The Tempest of Souls walked side by side with his new ally, Verglas, no more than a half a step behind him to show his respects to his title. They had battled together, drank together, and faced Lord Frost together, a bond that strengthened through fear -of Lord Frost- and blood. This time they had the first advantage, they could see the Kai Forces just over the rolling hills on the lit side of the planet. The Exiled King could see his Changeling Ally make his own preparations for battle, his hands forcing a needle into his own flesh. He too did the same, however a bit different in comparison. Handfuls of dirt were pushed to the side as he gently placed four seeds into the ground and when he stood he unleashed his hellish aura into the field of battle.
Verglas raised his hands and the uniformed click of boots sent a single echo into the battlefield as the army halted. There was no time for speeches and the Changeling Weapon Master knew that, his words were short and to the point. By the end of his commands four saibamen were already sprouting from the ground, their lime green skin and red eyes glowing against the flash of the star above. Verglas took the lead, but Legion was right on his heels. The two moved and worked together like a well oiled machine.
A quick slash from the ki infused blade would give Legion just enough time to focus his energy on the rat. His eyes traced through the battlefield, weaving in and out as he viewed the stream of ki around him like a river. His hands picked and grabbed at it, as if it were tangible, and he manipulated it into a lasso of sorts. Round and round he went, his aim to entangle the Racoon like a rodent. Without a single word, under the cover of the changeling, he dipped into the guard of his opponent. His right hand shot out quickly, ki already forming around his target. The darkened crimson sphere was lighter than he expected, maybe because of the size of the thing he was aiming at. Easily he was able to slam it into the ground creating the smallest dent in the crust of Mortoseth.
Wasting no time and allowing not a moment to recover Legion lashed out like a crazed swordsman. His arms swung left and then to the right, two fingers extended on each of them as invisible blades flew through the air. His signature move, if they connected with the racoon it could spell disaster, they were as sharp as the finest blade. His eyes continued to scan for any signs of retaliation as he lowered himself into a defensive position. He knew that the enemy would push back, but how hard?

“It was an order straight from Pendragon himself. This is of the highest priority. Eliminate Commander Legion and anyone standing with him.”
“Understood. We are sending the Damaskian Robotics Unit out.”
“Wait. Those two? Shit. John. That is crazy! What are we up against if we need those two!?”
“We have a Commander and an Overlord, Franklin.”
“Fuck. I should have stayed in the DoD. I just had to ask for more action, didn’t I?”
“Yea and look what it got you. More action.”
It was a conversation had between two soldiers out of a countless number of them. They all blended in with the dark side of Mortoseth. They wore pitch black armor, and each had their heads covered in a durable helmet. Each helmet held a state-of-the-art visor that served as a scouter to give them all sorts of information as well as a communications channel between themselves. Every man and woman gripped an energy weapon and they all marched toward the Fallen army.
This barely had anything to do with what the Kai’s wanted, but maybe their own god blessed them with this confrontation. They could hide in the shadows now and let the big boys handle things from here. Once the two armies had reached a proper distance, and before true confrontation could begin a massive ordinance drop pod crashed down into the ground right in-front of the Damaskian Army. Steam shot out from the cracks before the door was kicked open by a slender foot.
“Oh my, they need to work on their landing gear. That was a bit rough, Raph.”
Fingers gripped the sides of the drop pod one after another before a woman, 5’3, pulled herself out and was followed by an even shorter creature, a raccoon.
Aria and Android R drop in!
As Aria was feeling out the area, the first thing she noticed was the Overlord charging mid air toward them and with his sword spinning. She smiled cutely at him with her eyes simmering to a simple close. It was almost mocking, and maybe it was. Aria didn’t know the extent of her taunting. She only did so in this instance because of her special ability passed down by the Spectral Guard of Eastern Namek; the ability to phase her body’s molecules.
His first slice cut right through her, but there was no resistance. In-fact, it would feel as if he had sliced through thin air. With her hand touching Android R’s shoulder, she had also fed him the same spectral ability, but only briefly. Her eyes opened as the two had stopped being temporary apparitions.
“Darlin’, you gone have to try harder than that.”
But then, her eyes lowered down. He was coming back too fast and she would not be able to perform that type of technique for quite some time. The dark energy ran down his blade and she saw its obsidian dangers. Her hand reached to grab onto the blade during his spin, the crimson jewels munching up his energy and dissolving it within her body with a quickness. His blade still swung through, knocking her hand back and cutting against her metal frame to create sparks and even a cut where a person’s ribcage would be. She could not protect R from the blade itself, but the dark energy was dealt with. Once she was done he jumped up into the air. Aria looked up and spotted the nearly blinding silhouette of the Overlord and then she looked down to see the approaching Legion and his throng of saibamen.
The processing power of an android was something fierce. Verglas’ blade dropped like a meteor banging against her metallic dome and scraping shreds of skin from her and creating an incision on her forehead, and in response an explosion of fire erupted and looked to engulf him in a blaze. The energy that had cloaked his blade prior wanted to rejoin its master, but in a violent inferno.
Her eyes were back on Verglas but only briefly and as the dim distillation of Mortoseth filled his body her own facial expression lowered to something vicious and severe.
“Already tired? Bless ya heart Baby boy, this just won’t do. High time I get to my mission.” Her voice had increased depths.
Slash. Slash. Slash. It was slash after slash that hit nothing but an apparition, and she just stood there. There was not a trace of remorse nor a sign of guilt. Machines could be cold, but Aria felt like she could be winter. Her eyes easily looked over to the lasso whizzing past her ear and she snatched it out of mid-air, and she’d yank at it to attempt to halt Legion in his tracks, and also let it go.
Aria then looked back to Verglas for a split second to burn the image of his attack measures in her mind before she returned her eyes back to Legion once more. With a subtle step forward, she’d attempt to place her hand against his chest, with her other hand reaching out toward Verglas in anticipation. Legion wanted to time his movements.
Timing was beautiful up until a wrench jammed itself into the gearbox.
Energy exploded off his armor with dangerous intent of swallowing him like a meal. As Verglas’ poor attempt of energy was formed, Aria interrupted it immediately with a pulse from two fingers. The pulse generated a crackling sensation around the overlord’s body before a similar explosion erupted around him.
Afterwards, as Legion attempted to wrap R in a crimson bubble, Aria would let out a single and powerful “HA!!!” and slap at the energy to instead incase him in it. If he were to get incased, she would carry the slap motion toward the ground in a similar fashion to attempt the creation of a basin, or maybe it could double as his grave.
It didn’t matter to Aria. A mission was a mission, and one given by Pendragon himself.
She hunched over and peeked at her clenched fist which began to glow a soft blue color. A hum, almost kin to a bee buzz or a generator warming up, filled the battlefield. As it did, the backdrop could see Damaskian soldiers engaged with Fallen ones in a chaotic and reckless battle. One of the soldiers, who was freed from his struggle with a Fallen immediately looked over toward Aria and he yelled,
“Her power is rising!!!! Shit. Watch out, I don’t like the look of this!"
Even her own soldiers feared it, but Aria was in control. She had targets and she intended to hit them. Her body was cloaked in a murky dark aura and her eyes faded into a black color before she vanished. Aria appeared as close to Legion as she could and shot her hands out, one facing the man before her and the other to the Overlord. Six blasts of obsidian energy raced out to meet both at nearly supersonic speeds, making it a bit more difficult for her primary target to outrun them.
Still the Overlord would be confronting a dire challenge trying to escape.

Not only were they all linked together via a series of communications networks, but each and every soldier carried a weapon powered by an energy cell. They lit up the electromagnetic spectrum like a national holiday every time they began to operate. From his position in the drop ship, several conversations could be heard via intra-squad communications. While most of the squads could only communicate with each other, the two androids leading the charge were capable of processing much more data than a human brain and thus were wired into everything. Every so often R heard a conversation that made him smile. They used his promotion course material as an example in my recruit school. The guy mocked a fat lady for being caught in a thicket and blew up a monastery.R laughed quietly to himself. He hadn’t been sure what was going on at first, but advice from others had been to be as chaotic as he could. Thus the mocking of the fatty and the explosive end of the crane school. His own squad of troops was characteristically silent and was hanging around the edge of the column. All equipped with jetpacks, it wouldn’t do for them to blast off from the middle of the host once the shooting started. As soon as the targets were identified, the commanders were launched. Commander was perhaps a misnomer for these two. Both products of Damaskian Robotics, the two barely held a rank within the Shadowguard. Aria and R were generally dispatched to handle situations where collateral damage was less something to be avoided and more something to be encouraged. As a robot, R didn’t get motion sickness, but he spared a thought for those who did as the gravitational forces pushed and pulled against his tiny body during their descent. The impact was… problematic. Aria kicked the door open before remarked about the landing. As usual, her southern drawl left the problem considerably understated. “There was a landing gear?” he grumbled as he looked around at the black armor of the Damaskian host behind him. R too was clad in black, his exoskeleton appearing to draw in light as he moved. It was difficult to determine the outline of his body in such an outfit. A changeling charged towards them, murderous intent evident in his … well in his everything. Aria moved ahead, placing her hand gently on his shoulder as the whirlwind slashes of the overlord’s blade passed harmlessly through both of them. R couldn’t help but gape as he found himself unharmed by the slashing of the blade. The motion continued unabated as though the overlord wasn’t fighting against two ghosts from the Empire. Calculations began to ping in R’s head, predicting velocity and momentum and moving his body without requiring confirmation from him. Rafael had been sealed more tightly and R's processor upgraded to grant the Nephilim’s abilities without allowing him to see the light of day. R’s body shifted and weaved as he avoided the striking of the blade. As Aria engaged the overlord, the Legion approached. In this instance, the legion was their quarry and also a squad of saibamen that appeared to be interested in doing his bidding. As they approached, R’s chaotic little mind began working overtime. “Sir,” he said, looking at Legion, “sir, do you have a moment to talk about our Lord and…”That was all he got out before the saiba were upon him, their clawed little fingers poking and prodding like the worst kind of kindergarteners. In the midst of it all, a slicing blade of energy cut through the gloom. As it came into contact with R’s exoskeleton he erupted into flames. The saiba paid no mind to the flames and continued to pound on him like he was a delicious breast of chicken that needed to be deep fried. More and more cutting blades appeared, though once again algorithms in the mechanical part of R’s brain kicked into gear. He couldn’t make himself intangible without Aria’s help but what he could do use these obnoxious green children to shield himself from the worst of it. And you know what? They didn’t even care! These were some resilient little offspring. “Okay, you know what?” he said, tiring of the input from the brat pack, “can you read yet, you obnoxious little fucks? This is called an ion bomb. The timer says two. I’ll let you find out what that means.”Considerably less than two seconds later, an explosion erupted beneath them. Like a surfer riding a wave, R coasted up into that air on the shockwave and was irritated to see that the resilient little assholes were continuing to touch him like he was a priest at Sunday mass. Rather than throw another bomb, R elected to bring out a very special grenade. This grenade would erupt into a miniature sun and vaporise these assholes. They may have been immune to ion bombs but they wouldn’t be immune to an actual sun. As though they knew what was about to happen, however, each and every one of the little green children erupted into an explosion that sent R pinging back to the ground with a weighty thud. He picked himself up, dusted himself off and glared daggers at Legion. Realising that his thumb was still on the Deadman switch of the grenade, he flung it with all of his might at the saiba breeder. Three quarters of the way to its target, the grenade erupted into a sun whose corona was about to burst with two large solar flares. Having been able to resupply on Damaskia, this grenade had more bang packed into it than normal. Both flares lashed at the space where Legion stood, though R couldn’t see from this vantage point how much damage had been done, if any. “I said,” he continued insistently, “have you got a moment to talk about our Lord and saviour, Clark Pendragon? Because he’s veeeeery unhappy with y’all right now.”PL: 655,086 / 873,448

The kai forces, the military that were claiming to be on the side of justice and peace. How false the statement was. If they were truly for peace why try and attack the planet in the first place. Why creep among the shadows of the dark side with weapons of war? Truth be told, no one wanted peace. When there was peace- warriors grew weak, governments crumbled from the lack of economic growth, and tensions sky rocketed for the ever looming fear of just when the next war was. The Kai’s didn’t want peace, they wanted this war, rather they wanted to admit it or not.
Damaskia, although claiming independence, clearly sided with the Kai’s. Be it the fault of Legion for bringing the Fallen to conquer Damaskia in the first place, it mattered not. He could see their tempered steel, the hardened expressions, and their energy weapons brandished for battle. Their dark suits of armor cloaked their bodies but not their intentions, they were here for blood. Legion knew that he had made enemies, this must have been their way to get their revenge. “They should have sent Yan.” Legion said as the slender frame of Aria appeared for him.
His body moved on its own, the gauntlets acting like divine intervention and their sturdy frame took the blunt of the attack. His arms lifted together side by side to intercept the palm, what energy would have crumbled a normal man was spread throughout his armor, converting the kinetic energy into potential energy as it rippled throughout his entire gear. Luckily he had still managed to weasel his way between Aria and the Racoon, his crimson orb ready to trap the android like the rat he was. Legion had some back up arriving just in time as well, the goons, four saibamen ready to die for a cause.
Aria once more reacted, her defenses proved themselves impressive and aggravating all at once. A scream, ‘HA’, echoed as the crimson sphere changed directions. Legion grunted in pain, he felt his body seize up as the orb began to increase in gravity and reduce in size. What energy he had gathered before in his armor now released itself, causing a minor explosion to ripple out from inside the sphere. Harden ki rocketed through the skies like shrapnel, and his arms swung wildly at the rat while he recovered from his own move.
The Goons were on the attack, his body was recovered, just in time! His eyes scanned the field of battle, he could see it, the gathering aura and ki of the woman. He needed to act! His body moved on it’s own, a single knuckle slightly protruding from a clenched fist position. Rapidly he unleashed a series of blows, each aimed surgically at points where his eyes could pick up on traces of ki. The attack was dealt with for now, but he knew the battle was not over. He could hear the scratching and biting of his monsters, their ghastly grumbles muffled by insane cackling as they attacked in pairs.
His eyes managed to track the movements of the Racoon just in time to see the Ion Blast incoming. With a huff he threw his hands out in front of his frame. His jaw clenched as his heels dug into the ground. The blast collided with Legion’s palms, although armored with the Gauntlets of Obscurity, he could still feel the incredible heat from them. “ENOUGH!” The Tempest of Souls screamed as he threw his hands into the air, the blast following his diversion, keeping him from harm’s way. As the blast lifted he tried to look back at R, yet there was something small obscuring his vision. He tried to interrupt what it was and then he realized, a flash bomb! Shielding his eyes and turning his back on the explosion wasn’t enough, he could still see the bright white light of the grenade. A light so bright tha, momentarily, he couldn’t see. He needed to act quickly, ensure that he was protected from whatever was coming. Darkness swirled around him and solidified into a barrier, it was enough for now.

The sword cut through the woman, but the flames that licked at his skin were not part of the plan. Nor was the fact that the power that had coated his blade had disappeared, leaving the metal untainted by the power that had flooded it. But he was not to be dissuaded, even by the way she moved as he had fired his ki blast. He could feel the ki rising around his body, but he had experienced more powerful attacks before. With a grimace he tensed, his tail whipping several times in the air. The ki expanded, and then seemed to fade away - his tail held a soft glow as the absorption process came to an end, and power invigorated the Overlord. Luckily for the Overlord, the small squirrel with the woman was nowhere near as adept. He told them of his plan before he carried it out, leaving Verglas with more than enough time to pull a small spherical device from his belt. He clicked it once before tossing it forwards in an underarm bowl. When it hit the ground a bright red light filled the air and a strange figure materialised - one of the native Vagril, obviously contained within the strange ball. And his positioning was perfect. The explosion rushed towards the Overlord, but his minion was directly in the way. Unfortunately for him the attack was far more powerful than anything that the mushroom man had experienced before, and he fell backwards with a blank look on his face. The red light from before appeared, and the sphere leapt back to Verglas’ hand with the Vagril still inside - he would need to find a Nurse to bring him back to consciousness. The squirrel’s concentration moved to Commander Legion, and Verglas saw his opportunity. With a grunt he concentrated his powers for a second time, allowing the darkness within him to flow down his blade and coat it in his sticky presence. A moment later he was rushing forwards towards the pair, eyes keened and alert. As he approached he spun in a huge arc, encompassing both of the fighters in his deadly swipe. As his spin came to an end he planted his feet wide and delivered a twisting stab towards the gun upon her person. With any luck it would be sent spiralling to the ground, and the woman scrambling after it. He let out a deep breath, his concentration set upon the woman. His sword still glinted with darkness, but he could feel that it wouldn’t last for much longer. Ki erupted along it, the raging inferno absorbing the remainder of the dark power coursing through the metallic weapon. He brought it up in a wide slash towards her person before the ki extinguished. He allowed the momentum of the weapon to spin him in a circle, bringing his weapon up over his head as he did so. He brought it down in a huge slash aimed to rend her from shoulder to hip before ki ignited his blade once more, this time not tainted by the darkness. He twisted the blade into a wide upwards slash in the same direction before his grip tightened and he poured all of his strength into another downwards blow. As the blow ended he took a few steps backwards, his blade held ready as he kept his eyes on the woman. One hand came free from it and he clenched his fist, ki bubbling forth from his fingers and blasting into the sky. Once it reached a significant height it exploded, sending a wave as red as blood across the entirety of their vision. Everything about the area was now bathed in a deep crimson, and power started to flood through Verglas. A wicked grin spread on his face, and he offered a nod towards his opponent - he was ready for this battle to truly begin. --------------- 1. Aura Tail vs Aria A4 (+9%) 2. SYSTEM FREEZE. Aria only blinked dumbfoundedly as the moment she had appeared in-front of Legion he tapped her in a series of focal points and her attack came up empty. Steam exuded from her metallic skin, the energy itself still needing an escape route and she grinned almost too happily for the situation.
“You stopped me. Well, aren’t you interestin’.”
As Android R’s Ion bomb went off, it simply phased through Aria, opting to dive her body into a spectral state again, but this did not save soldiers. There was a reason that the Damaskian soldiers before hand were afraid of these two. Collateral damage was almost encouraged. It was known. Aria sighed some as the explosion died off and she looked over to the changeling who had his eyes set on her and she saw the very ends of a red beam sucking back into his hand and her eyes widened.
Juturna showed her something like this before in her ship and she could not help but immediately fan girl over it. It did not matter that she had just witness obvious abuse of a person, it was how it happened.
“Are you tellin’ me that those creatures are real!? I just thought it was silly anime!”
As oddly fourth wall breaking as that was, her excitement was all too genuine for that moment, and just about as equally deceiving. One would think her guard had dropped. As he rushed toward her, twisting his blade once again, she twirled into the air to avoid the blade with a somersault. While in midair her body sparked, and she tapped his blade with her finger to dive into another meal of energy. His obsidian energy he continued to cloak his attacks in was delicious.
He wasn’t done, however, and jammed into her with a stab creating sparks that jumped off her body as he was able to puncture a small hole in her. “Oh!”
Her pistol slung away from her and she frowned some. A toy was lost, and she would not bother trying to pick it up. Aria had landed with her back to him for the moment and as she was turning around a wide slash went through her body, which she again was able to phase out of this dimension for a few moments. Another slash, and it went through her again.
“Not this again.” It was different and weaker, but all the same sword slashes were just sword slashes to the metal maiden. Her sensor module pin pointed a weak point in his swing trajectory and she moved her body into that weakened swing radius, taking the one of the hits and her face had burst into an excitement grin and a playful hum came from her voice as the movement closed in gaps they had with each other, or at-least she thought it would.
She wanted her lips near where his ear could be as she spoke with one-part tease and two parts condescending. “You gooooot meeee~”
Aria was not without damage up to this point as he could see where his cuts have landed. It was her presentation of those injuries that would serve to be disheartening, but for all she knew he was used to robotic creatures who showed no pain. It all didn’t matter to her though. Everything about her was genuine, despite her being a false creature. She was having fun with him.
He didn’t break easy like the other organic toys. She respected that. Even when the final slash went completely through her body with no resistance she almost faked as if it were a painful ordeal, twisting her face in mock pain.
“Oh, Overlord you are quite the warrior. I haven’t had to use the Spectral Guard ability so much in my life!”
And with a flash of her palms, and a raise of her shoulders as if she were shrugging, two concentrated balls of blue energy popped into existence and then she vanished. Her form appeared around arm’s length in distance to Verglas swinging the first ball toward his chest and then with another disappearing act she would resurface above his head with the last one driving down toward the tip of his skull.

Advanced Energy System DZ2. Flash Bomb @ Legion (DR8 | Speed | 226,800 | Very Hard to Dodge | -16% ki) Attacks Taken From (Small Saiba Assholes: DR3 x 3, DR4 x 1) Perhaps the target hadn’t heard him. R failed to see how this was possible, but not everyone was capable of the sort of activities that the Damaskian Robotics team were famous for. Nevertheless, the bounty hunter in R required that the target recognised what he had done, what he was responsible for. The Kai army had and wanted no part in this. The entire operation was planned on the orders of the Emperor as a show of force. Legion had chosen the field of battle simply by being here. Damaskia cared not for the locals. The changeling approached, his awesome power on display for all to see. It wasn’t that long ago that R was fighting with the Fallen and would perhaps have counted these two among his allies. There were certainly plenty to be had on that side. Like his friend, Walid. The Avatar of War had sought to protect the Elder Council before joining his friends on Azazel’s team. Now that Damaskia had switched sides, R supposed that he was the enemy now. In danger of becoming predictable, the changeling once again brought his sword to bear in a sweeping motion whose aim was to attack both R and Aria. This was now the third time that the enemy had swept his blade in a wide arc whose aim was to target Aria and R together. As soon as the blade unsuccessfully passed by his somersaulting compatriot, R was already on the move. His form shimmering with the energy expended, he dived in the opposite direction as the blade passed harmlessly between them. It sang through the air with the promise of death if such a strike would ever impact successfully. The thought of Walid gave R an idea. This was Damaskia’s fight and what better way to let the universe know that the Empire wasn’t to be trifled with than by using the very flames of hell itself. From his backpack, R retrieved a communication device. The small, spherical ovoid was a broadcast device and was capable of hovering, recording audio and recording video. “Yo, lightweight,” he said into the camera, the call going through to Walid on another planet, “I was just thinking about how much you like burning things down and thought you might get a kick out of this.”The camera shot up into the atmosphere to get a better view of what was happening. R raised his hand straight up into the air, a movement that was incredibly not intimidating from such a small creature. What would perhaps have been more so was the immediate rumbling of the earth beneath their feet. The crust of Mortoseth roiled in protest against the unholy powers that R was bringing to bear. After several long moments of shaking Earth, fire was simply everywhere. Deep indigo flames exploded outwards and shot directly towards the target of this entire invasion. Where Legion now stood would quickly be engulfed in an equal mixture of indigo flames and explosive ki energy. Above them, a new red sun beat down upon the battlefield, casting an eerie glow and causing everything to look even more like a hellscape than it had before. He hoped Walid liked the show. Perhaps it would convince him to return to Damaskia’s warm embrace. Flitting this way and that, his armored exoskeleton blending in with the abundance of shadows that were cast by the presence of such a unique source of energy. During one run past the tempest of souls, he dropped a present in the vicinity of his quarry. Having been content with simply flitting this way that that like some sort of hairy woodland faerie, R now turned up the head. He moved in a parabolic arc around Legion, appearing and disappearing, speeding up and slowing down, and generally moving in such an unpredictable fashion that he appeared to have split into several copies. Each of the copies was forming a ki orb whose nature appeared to be some sort of swirling liquid metal. At its core was the explosive potential to level a city, just waiting to erupt on a lucky individual. That lucky individual was Legion and R continued to move in and out until he released the blast at point blank range once again. The shockwave beat against his back like a cresting wave as he retreated once more. In the next pass, he drew his quad blaster. For the next several moments R held the trigger, building up the charge in the chamber of the weapon before dashing straight at his foe. With the weapon held at point blank range, R released the trigger. The shotgun blast of energy was aimed directly at Legion’s centre mass and would likely be incredibly hard to get out of the way of, even for the more powerful walking soul trap that was Legion. The battle persisted around the commanders, both the Robotic Division of Damaskia and the Fallen and Planetary Trade Organization’s troops were at a deadlock. Bodies crumbled from the wide set of explosions. Screams echoed off into the skies that were turned red from Overlord Verglas once more. Legion did not ignore what was happening to his ally and against his foe, yet he did not fully focus on them. He knew that Verglas was determined to prove himself to Lord Frost, to make up for the failure of the last battle. Legion was more than ready for the battle to start to swing back into his favor.
R seemed to be speaking to a camera, admittedly it threw off the Demonic Tempest as he cocked his head to the side. The single moment of confusion was enough to distract the Fallen Commander as indigo flames spewed out into his direction. Once more his arms lifted, Legion confident in his own barrier, but just in case. The flames were incredibly hot, seering away at the strands of hair that were beneath his helmet. He could see from behind his guard the fire started to lick at his armor, it’s ever stinging bite heating his plate to the point where he desired to remove his gear. Yet the warrior inside told him to hold, his feet remained still and his will unharmed. Grunts escaped his lips as he felt the burning plate shindge the flesh beneath his gear, what little padding he had for comfort provided enough protection to prevent serious high degree burns though.
“You little rat,” Legion said as his aura began to darken and rise. Faces could be seen in the aura, like skewed and twisted faces screaming out in agony. Each face was a soul that he had either assimilated or harvested over his time in both the mortal realm and hell. His face was contorted by pain and rage, his eyes narrowed under the dark helm, obscured by shadow.
Through the flames that had blocked his vision R had managed to set up a variety of orbs of ki, each one surrounding Legion from all fronts. His eyes bounced from each copy as he traced the path and aimed to predict the movements of his enemy. His hardened expression was tempered by battle and experience, he grew accustomed to the movements of his foes, they were always the same. Suddenly a single copy leapt from the rest, charging straight at the Tempest of Souls. His face twisted into a wide sinister grin, and his body vanished in an instant. The very air surrounding where Legion once stood sparked with electricity from the transfer of power from his ki to his legs. To the racoon Legion would look like a television's channel that became staticy. After the beam passed he came to a skidding halt, his right hand resting three fingers in the ground in a 'three point stance'.
Luckily Legion had set up defenses for an attack fueled by ki, and the racoon hadn’t seemed to notice. “Bring it on,” his voice broke through the roar of the battle as the shotgun-like effect of R’s attack propelled toward him. The souls, twisted and screaming in his aura, each devoured the attacks, rippling the barrier that he had conjured moments ago and dissipating the majority of the attack’s force. The Demonic Prison was not going to let R slip away, his hand already flicked out the pin to his grenade and lobbed it as his foe charged head on. An explosion rang out immediately as R’s attack was absorbed into the barrier, hopefully long enough to get a single shot in. While the Racoon still remained in point black range, Legion lifted his right hand, orbs of ki gathered at two of his fingertip. The crimson spheres hummed manically as he looked down upon his enemy. A blast rang out, rather it hit or not was hard to tell from the smoke and debris that filled the surrounding area.

A small scowl grew on Verglas’ face as the woman spoke. Her words seemed to grate on him worse than any warrior had before - and coupling that with the fact that she seemed to be meeting him blow for blow with apparent ease, it was a recipe for disaster. But some of his attacks had hit, and he could see that eventually she would have to slow down and succumb to them - the only question was, how long could this machine last? Ki flashed up around her again, and again she moved on the attack. She disappeared before re-appearing right in front of Verglas, thrusting a ki ball right into his chest. It hit him with a grunt, sending him sliding backwards across the ground as pain throbbed through his core. But he was a warrior, and he had felt worse before - and he was ready for the second attack. His blade flew upwards and met the blast in mid-air, colliding with a flash and a bang. But the energy of the attack was not wasted. Its power seemed to throb through his blade once more, the familiar deep black colour returning to the metal. His scowl turned to a smirk as he rushed towards the woman this time, throwing his blade into the air above her. His tail whipped over his shoulder to send a pair of sharp strikes towards her face. Not waiting for a moment after his tail retreated he leapt into the air, grabbing his blade in one hand as he did so. Power coursed through his body, latent energy that he had imbued within the blade before throwing it. With a grunt he twisted his body and pointed his palm down at his opponent, releasing a pair of ki blasts right at the top of her head. He landed with a soft thud, rolling backwards to stabilise himself and also clear some distance between the pair of fighters. As he bounded to his feet, his ki was already bubbling in his hand - and his smirk had turned all the way to a grin. His aura whipped around him as he pumped power into his attack, releasing a roar as he thrust the magnificent red ball of ki at his opponent. A second before it left his skin, however, he vanished. He reappeared an instant later behind the android, leaving little more than a fading image of ki in his wake - and then he attack launched. It crackled with a devilish intensity as it hurtled through the air, seeming to suck the very life from the air as it flew at the machine. Hopefully she wouldn’t be able to dodge this one. --------------- Free. Take Aria A4 1. Flat-Side vs Aria AC 2. Dark Blade (-2%) 3. Thunder Crush (DR6 + DR4.5, -1.5%) 4. As the iron maiden placed her feet upon the ground a few feet away, she gasped. He swatted away her attack and used it almost like a flint stone to ignite his dark energy once again. As he rushed at gynoid, the immediate earth around her sunk in. Her body molded and buffed out, gaining more armor and covering more of her, including her face which took the strike and barely leaving a scratch. The blade which was thrown her way, and imbued with his dark energy, saw that obsidian danger shatter against her armor and the blade creating a tough lesion against her newly formed body armor.
The ki blasts that rained on top of her popped, one after another, creating charred markings upon her toughened exterior and her lips curved to a wicked grin, unseen because of her face being covered. He rolled backwards upon landing, clearing space between him and the robotic creatures and as he had done so, Aria pulled her own hands upward to face him during his charge of energy.
The metal upon her arms molded and changed, creating ticking and creaking sounds. Both arms had become cannons, and her flipping from her ankles were stabilization plates, that were heavy enough to dig into the ground upon the flip. Energy hummed and gathered within the barrels of the cannons, the outer walls of them glowing an intense golden color and just at the moment he fired his attack, she faced the cannons his way and at first one massive blast of energy popped out.
Her body rocked backwards at the force, creating trenches in the ground. Once the blast met up with his crimson ball of death a catastrophic explosion of energy erupted the battlefield cancelling both out, but only in their destructive forces. The after math of their collision sent a wave of pressure throughout the battlefield like a shockwave and it sounded as if two clashes of thunder met each other at one spot.
The crimson-dyed battlefield shook, and debris filled the air, but Aria used that as cover to fire her second blast of power, pushing her body back even further and creating a longer line in the dirt. The blast instantly scattered into smaller orbs of energy which surrounded Verglas in the masked cover of the smoke and debris, and once it cleared, he would see just how trapped he was.
Aria’s arms returned to normal, with one hand lazily rose just to her breast with its fingers slightly stretched out. Each orb sparked with paralyzing energies that attempted to attack the overlord’s nervous system and lock him in place to make the endeavor even tougher to overcome. Each orb was like a naughty teenager in a gang, brandishing weapons. They were intent on beating down the overlord like a victim, but they all knew he was far to powerful of a victim to handle this alone.
And so… with the clutch of her fingers, almost nonchalantly at that, each orb crashed down toward him ready to piece him apart piece by piece. It was Aria’s goal, but all the same she expected better from an Overlord, she did not think twice that this would be enough to end him…

Private Android R - Soldier of the Fallen 680 Free. Recovery Node Mark II vs Stun Effect (0/4 Posts Until Reset) 1. Opal Electricity vs Dirty Fireworks (-8% ki | +9% ki) 2. Power Up 3. Energiser 4. Night Terror Projection @ Both (DR3 | Unblockable | 25% chance 1 Action Stun) Attacks Taken From (Small Saiba Assholes: DR3 x 3, DR4 x 1) As the walking soul stone’s aura flared with the faces of those who had been absorbed, R momentarily forgot the racist slight against his species. Ordinarily he would have responded with a biting retort, but with the hell fire still burning in places around them and the red sun casting its eerie glow across the hellscape, the aura of souls was just too badass for the diminutive bio android to even consider insulting his foe back. Flickering afterimages promised bad things to R’s foe, but unfortunately his gambit was not the kind that would fool an ancient being such as Legion. As soon as the dangerous ball of ki was released, Legion began to fritz out like a television in a thunderstorm and as the explosion erupted, he simply wasn’t there. R wondered briefly if Walid was still watching … if his friend got a kick out of it, the explosion wouldn’t be a total waste. If his shotgun had missed, R might have sought out Juturna to get his ballistic analysis software checked. It turnout out to not be necessary, but R had miscalculated the ability of his projectile to penetrate the badass skin of souls that Legion was wearing like a glove. Timed to explode simultaneously with the impact of the shotgun was a grenade that was very similar to that which R had used many times before. He froze in his tracks, static electricity freezing his joints and preventing him from moving. Inside his head, a special gland kicked into gear. In a universe where poison, ice and crushing gravity were used to inhibit fighters long after the delivery of successful attacks, Damaskian Robotics had invented a new organ to fight such an occurrence. As R’s system was overwhelmed by the static, stronger electricity was fed through his system, neutralising the stupefying effects of the grenade. The electricity continued to arc as an explosion blossomed at the behest of the tempest of souls. Lightning arced between the orb of ki energy and absorbed its power, adding it to R’s reserves. In a desperate attempt to kick the bio android’s body back into gear, R’s defensive systems removed the governors restraining his energy. The resultant outpouring of pure white celestial energy raised his ki to maximum and energised him for further confrontations. R blinked, his conscious mind once again in control of his body as he fought to figure out what the hell had just happened. When he realised, he decided that it was time to play merry havoc with Legion’s internal systems and for that matter, the changeling’s as well. He first directed his attention to Aria’s plaything for his single mind was much more able to be affected than Legion’s complicated mess of personalities and histories. The changeling would see Lord Frost descend to the battlefield, but the arrival would be anything but reinforcing. Frost would point an accusatory finger at the commander and denounce him for his previous failures and his inability to achieve a task as simple as breaking two robots. From there, energy would lance out from the outstretched finger to pummel the Overlord mercilessly. From Legion, R found it difficult to detect a psychological weakness. There were just too many variables from too many personalities. Just as he had against the Supreme Kai of Time, R picked an option that he thought would appeal to the fears and insecurities of the largest majority of the population. The theme of this intrusion would be betrayal. In his time, the tempest of souls must have experienced issues with trust, with people betraying him for personal gain. The technology in his head would scan for these specific themes in the mind of his foe and attempt to bring out someone specific. If it failed to do so, or such a thing did not exist in the ancient one’s past, the Lords of Universal Terror would arrive once again. They would be betraying the Fallen, just as the Fallen had betrayed Damaskia. Perhaps then the one known as Legion would understand the folly of his actions. A woman appeared before him, white toga as smooth silk and as pure as snow. Beautiful long brown hair cascaded down from her head and brushed against her shoulders on the left side. Her skin was flawless, not even a single scratch disturbed the perfectly sculpted face. Legion paused for a moment, his eyebrow lifting as he questioned the familiar feeling of seeing the woman. Who was she? The thought raced through his mind as he froze in the midst of the battle. He watched as she stared at him, eyes peering deep into the Tempest of Souls that resided in him. Did she know him? How did she get her? The battle became nothing more than a fleeting thought before he felt the crushing impact against his barrier. The impact rattled his brain and he tumbled over, he was able to quickly recover to his feet, but the woman was no longer in his sight.
“What the fuck?” Legion said to himself under his breath as he looked over toward Android R. His body slid down into his stance, luckily for him the android didn’t throw much toward him so he had a brief moment to prepare for the upcoming moments to come. Aura flared up around his form once more. Through the shimmer of the inferno that was his ki faces began to skew and stretch. Their twisted looks of agony mixed with the roar of his ki began to become more and more apparent as he reached the peak of his power up. “Flames of hell….” He said in a low mumble, barely audible compared to the thunderous roar of the battlefield.
Legion leapt into action, his form flickering from the left to the right. His speed was incredible, no longer was his flames dispersed and uncontrolled. Now they were fine tuned, narrow flames that burned bright white like jet propulsions. Each time he stopped or changed directions the ground beneath him shattered. Soil and grass burned from the inferno that surrounded him, dirt and debris lifted from his power and eventually turned to ash. Still he moved, each time launched himself into another direction, he became faster. Until eventually he reached the peak of his speed. His left and right hands were glowing with two orbs of ki. The orbs eventually tripled in size, eventually being the equivalent of a large basketball. His first thought was to unleash the attack in one giant blast, but his thoughts quickly changed as he viewed the struggles that Aria was having against Verglas.
Still he moved, each time throwing out three orbs toward each of his foe. Wave after wave the blast were sent into the skies. They whistled like side winders through the air as they twisted and homed in on the two commanders. Legion continued to stalk his prey, his hands lobbing another three ki orbs toward each of them when he saw his opportunity. Soon the large orbs of ki were nothing more than the size of a baseball as he tossed out his final barrage. A total of nine attacks sent from all directions, it would prove troublesome to deal with, but not impossible. Legion came skidding to a halt after his barrage as he lowered once more into his fighting stance. His left arm lifted itself slightly over his waist and his right was tightly tucked in at waist level. Sweat began to form on his brow, he huffed and puffed, but he was finally getting warmed up.
