“Congratulations recruit, you are now a grunt!” A loud voice bellowed as Kuriza stood proud. It was the day after his graduation and he was being presented with his first mission as a grunt.
“The rebellion on planet Frieza is beginning to get out of hand. More of the working class had started to join in on organized attacks against the capitol.” The man continued. Kuriza thought back to his graduation ceremony, during the attack the rioters were chanting out, “Defund the PTO!” Kuriza looked into the Commander's eyes as he continued to brief him on his mission.
“The inhabitants of planet Frieza had stopped believing that their elected officials had their best interest at heart and now have begun to rally together, attempting to take matters into their own hands! The nobles have attempted several times to solve the situation diplomatically with Lord Frost but was denied council with him, where to now, it has become a threat to the capitol and safety of our troops. Lord Frost has expressed his desire for the rebellion to be crushed, publicly! In a show of might as a warning to all, domestic and foreign, that he has no interest in negotiations with anyone who opposes him.”
In the attack at the PTO graduation ceremony, Kuriza's demonstration of talent and ability impressed a few of the higher ranking officials in the PTO. From his graduating class only about thirty percent made it through basic training and he was the top recruit. Because of his well developing resume he was granted the position of recruiter, a cushion job with reputable benefits. “Your job is to put together a more capable class, we need to improve our numbers! You will also be supervising a team to lead in the fight against the rebels, further progressing the agenda of the PTO. This is to be done quickly, you have one week. Report to me when you have your team. Is that understood?” The commander awaited Kuriza’s response, even though refusal was not an option. “Sir yes Sir.” Kuriza responded, and the commander turned and left the room.
He knew first, he was going to add his loyal henchman Sage. Sage showed promise in training and excelled in interpersonal relations. Kuriza would use him for more delicate issues, mostly involving search and rescue missions, collecting intel, and politics. If Sage could work his way up the ranks he would prove to be an important asset in ending the rebellion. “Now to add a little muscle.” Kuriza thought to himself. Even though sage was a more than capable fighter he still lacked the natural ability on the battlefield.
“Guess it's time to go home.” Kuriza said to himself as he walked out of the outpost and into the fresh air. It had been weeks since Kuriza last visited his Dojo and after putting Farrow in charge of day to day operations, Kuriza thought now would be a perfect time to check on his investment. Kuriza wanted to have Farrow on the front lines. With his ruthless aggression he had proven to be an exceptional warrior with a bloodlust to rival his own. Farrow had sent word of his activity with the Blood Brothers, a cult that was currently wreaking havoc in the northern regions. Kuriza had tasked Farrow to recruit new talent for his dojo. Farrow would train them and send the most prolific fighters he could to continue training with the PTO. Most fighters were relatively decent but none made much progress until Farrow started filling the seats with members of The Blood Brothers. With his new orders as a recruiter, Kuriza planned to relocate the dojo to the capitol and affiliated members of the Blood Brothers would become the next class of recruits. Recruits that would no matter how high in rank they would accel, would always be loyal to him.
As he approached the large doors to his Dojo Kuriza could here fighting from the outside. He smiled as he opened the door, knowing he had left the right person in charge. Farrow was a calm mannered soldier of alien heritage that similarly resembled the humans of Earth and was his strongest pupil with a power level not far from Kuriza’s. Of all his pupis Farrow was the gem in the rough.
“Ahhh!” A man in a dark roe screamed as Farrow landed a well placed kick to the man’s stomach sending him flying across the room. As the man was sent flying backwards a group of three darted forward toward Farrow, attempting to charge at him from different angles. Farrow jumped into the air. “Beam Ball!” he screamed, letting off four balls of Ki, one for every attacker plus an extra toward the man who finally hit the wall. As the orb hit the man that hit the wall, he fell to the floor unconscious. The three that charged him all flew in opposing directions. Each one crashing into a different wall and also falling to the floor. The fight was over to what Kuriza could see, but Farrow still wanted to fight.
“Again!” He said, but no one moved. They were all incapacitated. No one had the strength to continue. “Again I said!” Farrow said again more firmly. One of the robbed individuals tried to move. His arms trembled vigorously as he struggled to lift his own body weight. Farrow rushed over to him and kicked him hard in the ribs. The man screamed; “AHHHH!” As the man crashed back into the wall Farrow did not stop his assault. Repeatedly he continued to kick and stomp the man in his abdomen. Kuriza smiled, there was no room for mercy. If they can not hold their own against Farrow then they served no purpose for Kuriza’s exploits.
Kuriza watched on with anticipating eyes like a proud parent watching their child take their first steps. The other three started to get to their feet, one started to charge at Farrow who was still kicking and stomping on their comrade. He shot a ball of Ki into Farrow's back, dropping him to one knee. Farrow did not stop attacking still, now punching the man in the face repeatedly. Blood was dripping from Farrow's fist, the man’s face he was punching was caved in. only a hollow shell of the skull remained. The man who charged finally reached Farrow and jumped in the air. The other two had gotten to their feet and sent Ki blast hurling towards Farrow one from each side. The man who jumped now with leg extended attempted to deal the finishing blow. Farrow pushed off of one knee and backflipped over the blast. The man who tried to strike landed hard onto the floor crashing into the wall. The two ki blasts collided and exploded on impact. They both began to charge towards Farrow. “Too slow.” Kuriza said to himself watching with a smile. Farrow had extended his leg to the side and launched a punch to the other kicking one man in his stomach and his fist connecting to the other man's face sending him to the floor. Farrow spinned on one leg, Bringing the foot he kicked the first man with around crashing hard on the man that dropped to the ground. His heel landing directly on the man's neck. Farrow twisted his boot to the side, breaking the man's neck, and pushed off one knee hard again. The man originally kicked, still hunched over grabbing his stomach, received two knees to the jaw popping him into the air. Farrow jumped, keeping his knee attached to the bottom of the man's jaw to keep him up in the air and switched knees ramming his other knee into the man's jaw. Farrow landed softly on the ground and the last man fell from the air in a thud. Kuriza clapped his hand. “Very good! Farrow, your training has really come along I can see. I hope the next batch they send you brings more of a challenge.” Kuriza smiled as he walked towards his star pupil. “I have a new task for you. Get everyone to the base and wait for my further instruction, is that clear?” Kuriza watched as Farrow kneeled to him. “Yes, my Lord. At one.” Farrow got off of his knee and headed towards the dorms. Kuriza turned to walk back to the door confident in all the pieces he had gathered so far.
He had room for one more member. It was a no brainer he wanted Fasha, a capable Saiyan warrior with a chip on her shoulder. After the graduation she was rewarded as well for her part in defending the graduation. “Surely it has to be something she wants.” He thought to himself as he walked out his dojo. Kuriza had to move carefully to recruit Fasha and was going to have to take more persuasive efforts then what he originally intended. “With those three in place a clear path for victory would surely be upon the horizon.” he thought to himself as he took off in flight from the dirt road.
As Kuriza approached the base with Farrow and the Blood Brothers trailing behind. They landed in the courtyard of the barracks. “This will be home from now on! Training starts in the morning at Oh six hundred hours. You will report to your trainer Sage and he will get you all suited. Tonight drink, be merry. Tomorrow you will all be official recruits to the PTO. Sleep well for tomorrow will be hell, Dismissed. As the recruits eagerly began to enter the dormitory Kuriza walked to address Farrow. “I need you to keep a low profile around here for a while. Try to keep your dealings with that lot, private.” Kuriza whispered into Farrow's ear as he walked from the Barracks to track down Fasha. Farrow nodded his head as he followed the remainder of the new recruits into the dorms.
“Where is she?” Kuriza thought to himself as he knocked on her dorm for the third time. The commander said he had a week to get his team together. Even though his team would be efficient enough as is, Fasha was the missing piece to the puzzle. It was something about her that showed during their battle at the graduation. Something others were beginning to notice as well. If Kuriza wanted to have her in the fold he would have to get to her before another higher ranking member could. Luckily that was a job he knew Sage could handle. As Kuriza opened the doors of barracks that would host as his new dojo Kuriza smiled. “It's only a matter of time before i add that little monkey to my circus.” With the recruits settled in Kuriza headed to quarters. “One Week!” He said to himself as he turned off the lights and slipped into bed .
