Several months had passed since the rebellion of Shimo city's lord. Chilled left the caravan leader, Beckham, in charge while he proceeded with business elsewhere after the previous lord's expedient departure. While the Changing was on leave, Beckham had used the former lord's hidden treasures to turn the dilapidated city into a veritable fortress, unrecognizable of what it once was.
The city itself had expanded ten-fold in size with surrounding walls of glacial iron that towered over any nearby structures by 50 feet in height. Turrets and AA canons lined the walls both inside and out, while the surrounding area was littered with military-grade roadblocks and checkpoints, courtesy of Chilled's personal army. Even the former residents took part, having been forcefully conscripted for the new city's facelift, along with the further enhancement of their glacial iron forging facilities.
Beckham's previous trade occupation aided the city's growth tremendously through the many contacts he acquired over the years. Instead of running freight trucks from one city to the next like before, the entire operation was now carried out with spaceships on a planetary scale. Due in whole to Chilled's interference, Beckham had now become one of the wealthiest men on planet Frieza, in name at least.
With Shimo city in full swing, Chilled left Toobi behind to keep eyes on Beckham and ensure he would end up like his predecessor. Meanwhile, the Changeling received a personal order from lord Frost to requisition the planet known as Cactaylisma, a planet formerly occupied by the Fallen. Due to a recent turn of events, Cactaylisma was handed over to the Planet Trade Organization in response to their exemplary support in the campaign against the Kai forces, or more specifically, handed to Chilled.
Since the allocation at his new post, Chilled had become rather swamped with trivial matters. Cactaylisma was abundant with recourses and teeming with life, both of which required his full attention in the initial stages. Naturally, Chilled knew exactly how to increase the threat of the PTO as a whole and how imposing an invasion of theirs upon the galaxy would soon be.
With funding and warships from Shimo city, Chilled employed the pirates of Cactaylisma, using them to secure himself an abundant supply of 'volunteers' from the local populace. A simple conquest for the rag-tag bunch of misfits that littered the planet in droves and would do anything in the name of the mighty Zeni. Men, women, children, their age, or position in life mattered little in the eyes of the Changeling once they were shackled at his slave facilities. After which, they were implanted with a miniaturized warhead, then outfitted with weapons and armor before being shipped off to the instructional facilities.
Basic training was to strip away every emotion other than hatred and anger, so their only reason for existence was to claim life. This task was rather simple with the slave collars as they were forced to obey the Changeling's every word. By the time Chilled was finished with them, there wasn't a trace of their former selves. Every single one of them had been transformed into a machine designed to kill, even in death. They were the perfect soldiers for the PTO to use while spreading fear across the galaxy.
Months continued to pass as Chilled bolstered the ranks of his personal slave army on Cactaylisma. One day he heard the word of complications on planet Namek, being passed around among the pirates. Days later and he received another order to mobilize some troops to investigate the potential of rebellion, including a request for him to take care of it personally. Tales of the Changeling's accolades on Cactaylisma had no doubt reached the ears of Lord Frost, prompting the request. Chilled didn't mind the offer even a little and left immediately. He viewed this trifling task as something akin to a vacation in which he could stretch his legs.
Sage was breathing heavily when he had finally caught up to Kuriza. An urgent mission had just been delivered requesting Kuriza’s assistance in a mission to Namek. Not many details were left other than a moilized unit had already begun to prepare and he was to meet them there. “Namek you say? Very well then, Sage i will leave you in control of my affairs while i am absent. I'm confident that things will go smoothly as if my presence were not in question. Kuriza ended his conversation quickly with sage and started his walk to his quarters to pack and prepare for deployment. It was a decent trip to Namekt from planet Frieza, Kuriza would make use of this time to formulate his next steps of his plan.
The city of Shimo was now more developed than when Kuriza had first arrived. Farrow had done his part in spreading the influence of the Blood Brothers deep throughout Shimos thriving underworld. Sage had played his hand in politics making Kuriza a household name. His glory demanded respect and prestige among the city, making him a clear people's choice for an elected official. To the citizens of Shimo Kuriza was a young brute crawling his was up the ranks of the PTO as a man of the people but with the help of Sage and Farrow Kuriza found balance between the influences of the shady activities of the community as well as the glory of politics and public service.
Farrow once again was off on a mission for the Blood Brothers so he would not be available to accompany him on his trip. Kuriza would go alone in hopes the mission wouldn't require too much energy to take care of. “Alright time to head to the port and prepare for this briefing. Ugh, i hate these long winded briefings, just tell me who you want me to kill and tell me where to find him. That simple, damn!” Kuriza said, throwing his back over his shoulder. He was finally prepared to head out to the departure point. Leaving the dorms he looked up to the sky. “Everyday I get closer and closer. It's almost time.”
With the conflict between Damaskia and the Fallen concentrated around the northwestern quadrant of Planet Namek, Chilled's approach from the eastern hemisphere went unnoticed. The firefight looked like nothing more than a flashy spectacle as he gazed through the massive viewport on the bridge of his starship. As Chilled's ship entered Namek's atmosphere, a message was sent by Cabira to the PTO embassy, announcing the Changeling's arrival.
"Roger that, Sir," replied an unknown voice over the communication uplink, confirming that his correspondence was received. "Please proceed to spaceport #5B008 nearest to the embassy and await further instructions."
Chilled didn't take his eyes off the scenery through the viewport. Instead, he waved his hand slightly in acceptance to his minion before it dropped back down into place behind his back with the other. Much had changed on Namek's surface since its occupation by the Cosmic Empire.
Previously, there were only a few villages composed of small huts clustered together, but now it had become more industrialized. Whole cities had been established across the grassy plains, complete with tall buildings and paved roads where none had been before. Even the populace had changed from being almost entirely composed of the native Namekians to something more. Nobody could deny the progress here was impressive.
"Engaging docking procedures," said Cabira as he took over manual control of the ship. "We've arrived, my Lord."
"Excellent," responded the Changeling as he turned away from the viewport. "Come along, let's not keep our clients waiting."
The hanger doors of Chilled's ship opened a few moments later. A large group of slave soldiers ran out from the doors, equipped with the most recently developed arm blasters and body armor from Shimo city. They each stood guard a few feet apart from one another, lined up along but facing away from their master's expected route towards the entrance of the spaceport.
Chilled wasn't expecting trouble so close to the city, but any would-be aggressors would easily be spotted if need be, and it was a subtle show of authority for his clients to witness. When Chilled stepped out of the ship, followed by Cabira, while a small group of men proceeded in the same fashion from the spaceport hub. Both groups met halfway along the path between the ship and building.
One of the men from the spaceport stepped forward from the group. He was much older than the others and likely the one in charge. "Hello there. You must be, Lord Chilled, we've been expecting you. The name's, Reiga," said the man as he reached out for a handshake. Rather than receive the gesture in return, the man's hand was quickly brushed aside by Cabira. For whatever reason, he didn't cause a stink. Instead, the man brushed his hand through his hair and laughed it off. It was obvious he was feeling nervous.
"Greetings," said Chilled as he glanced over Reiga. "I take it you're the one in charge here?"
"Yes, Sir, that would be me," replied Reiga with a smile. "If you need anything, just ask me, and we'll get it for you right away."
The Changeling's eyes were still locked on Reiga, scanning him over. The man seemed too laid back for someone in power, and Chilled was having trouble wrapping his head around how this guy obtained such a position. "The first thing you'll do is take me to the embassy and then stay out of our way," replied the Changeling in a firm tone as he headed towards the main building where a car was waiting in the parking lot. "I'll have you explain the situation on the way."

It was a long flight to planet Namek. Kuriza had spent most of the type going over the details of his mission while training through meditation. He would think of countless situations and the best means to accomplish his mission in each scenario. The PTO had generously offered a ship to transport Kuriza, it would remain docked for three days before returning to planet Frieza. If Kuriza was aboard the mission was a success if not the crew was instructed to assume the mission was a failure and to report back to Frost. Kuriza knew not to return if he could not complete his mission so failure was not an option. He had no plans to retreat or regroup. The plan was simple, continue moving forward.
As the ship hit the gravitational pull of Planet Namek Kruizas eyes widened. The planet was marvious with magnificent hues of blue and green. Kuriza was in awe. “So this is Namek, I’ve heard stories of this world but have never had the chance to actually lay eyes upon it. I even here the locals worship these orbs known as dragon balls. No way there can be any truth behind these magical wish granting orbs but it surely would be Fascinating to mingle with the common folks who could create such a tale.”
As the ship prepared to dock, Kuriza could see fellow members of the PTO exiting their ships as well. “Well it would appear we’ve arrived just in time. You can sit her down over there and I can take it from there.” Kuriza had pointed to a space close to where the other soldiers were positioned. The ship landed and the docking ramp was deployed. Kuriza walked down the ramp with a smile from ear to ear. “Well hello everyone, I believe you have been expecting me. I am Kuriza here on orders from Lord Frost, whom may I ask, is in charge around here?
The Changeling had barely stepped foot past the group of executives he met outside the spaceport when someone else arrived on the scene. Chilled paused in his step and looked over his shoulder to find another of his kind headed towards them. The man proclaimed himself to be under the orders of Lord Frost.
Strangely enough, Chilled was never informed that he would be sharing this assignment. Admittedly, he had his doubts about this individual's credibility, but the man bore the markings of a PTO Brute, similar to his own, so he held back on his opinions. Kuriza, as he called himself, was comparable in size to Chilled but emitted much less spiritual energy, which struck him as odd. Changelings weren't the type to hold themselves back, although this one could be different. Still, it made him curious.
Before Chilled could question the newcomer, Reiga stepped out from the group. "Uh... I suppose that would be him," he said as he pointed at Chilled with his thumb as he turned to look back.
"Indeed, it is I. You may address me as Lord Chilled." The Changeling as smirked slightly and took a subtle bow before his face turned sour as he lifted his head. "Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, you can all get in the car. I have a schedule to keep." His tone was course, making it obvious he was annoyed by the interruption. "Cabira, have my soldiers secure the spaceport. Nobody comes or goes. And keep an eye out for any suspicious individual."
"Right away, my Lord," responded Cabira before he started barking orders to the slave legion.
Chilled then proceeded to enter the car with the rest of the group, where Reiga had begun to explain the situation. According to Reiga, he had only just received his post as head of the ministry of affairs less than a month ago. Previously, it was a woman by the name of Selka who was appointed to the position before him.
It seemed their superior had died due to a sudden illness, which was how she rose to power. Selka was a model employee, or so they say, which quickly led to her promotion. Then one day, Selka's attitude suddenly changed, and her performance plummeted. It was around about the same time that a few namekian settlements disappeared without a trace. The story was rather strange, and nothing really clicked with Chilled until Reiga mentioned that she kept requesting to have people search for any documents related to the Namekians heritage.
"Curious behavior indeed," muttered Chilled, as he pondered the woman's motive. The only heritage that came to mind was the dragonballs, but was she merely after power, or was there more to it? Given the current conflict between the Fallen and Damaskia, she might have been a spy or simply replaced. That might account for her sudden behavior change.
"Take me to her office. I'd like to see these documents you speak of," said Chilled as they arrived at their destination. Chilled stepped out of the car and proceeded towards the building, with Reiga leading the way. "What do you make of this?" asked the Changeling as he turned his head to Kuriza while entering the main doors to the embassy.

Reiga chimed in before Kuriza could muster a reply. "I don't believe Selka was a bad person if that's what you're thinking, Sir. Something dastardly must've happened to her," he said while holding the door to the embassy open for Chilled to enter. "Her office is this way."
The two of them continued through the front foyer and down a long hall where Selka's office was located. As they were walking, Chilled couldn't help but find it strange that they were still on the main floor. Considering her position within the company, she should've easily found residence on the top floor within the former head's workspace. At the very least, she should've been on the upper levels of the building.
"Why is this woman's office located on the ground floor? And in this back corner no less?" queried Chilled as they stopped in front of a set of large wooden doors.
Reiga pushed open the doors to the office and stepped inside before turning to the Changeling. "So you find it strange as well, huh? I thought I was the only one," he said before letting out a soft chuckle as he reached up with one hand and ruffled his hair a bit. "Actually, this was by Miss Selka's request that she stay in her original office space."
"By her request you say?" muttered Chilled as he took a few steps inside the room and surveyed the area.
It was obvious at a glance that Miss Selka had not used this office to entertain any guests in quite some time. The furniture in the seating area bore a thin but noticeable layer of dust along with the bookshelves that ran along the western wall. A vase that once sat on the table in the middle of the room had somehow found its way to the floor along with its wilted contents, which had been crushed to dust into the carpet.
Then there was Miss Selka's desk. Which was littered with all types of documents. Many of which had already fallen to the floor. There were signs they had clearly been touched recently but didn't appear to be stacked in any particular order. Most of the information in the files pertained to the Namekians native to the planet. Somewhere in this mess must have been what she was looking for but Chilled didn't have the time or patients to sort through it all. Their contents hardly mattered to him though he already had a good idea of what Selka was after without even looking.
"Is this how this Miss Selka usually conducts herself," queried Chilled as he waved his hand around the room, referring to the unsightly mess it was.
Reiga took an audible gulp before he responded. "Um... I'm not actually sure, to be honest. She always seemed pretty tidy whenever I saw her," he replied while scratching his head as he glanced around the room. "This is actually my first time in her office, to tell you the truth," he continued before letting out a soft chuckle in an attempt to hide his embarrassment.
"I see, you're not very helpful now are you," responded Chilled as he gazed at Reiga, clearly irritated by the very sight of the man. "Very well, I believe I'm done with your services here. You best be on your way now before my mood becomes foul."
Without another word, Reiga left the room in a hurry. He was generally a laid back, easy-going kind of guy, but Changeling's always made him feel uneasy. In particular, he didn't like the fact that one could never tell when someone was going to end up as a stain on the ground when dealing with them. From what he heard through the grapevine, Chilled less tolerant than most of his kind, and he felt lucky to have left with his head still on his shoulders.
Now that Reiga was gone, the room was silent. Chilled could hear a faint howl of the wind as he scanned the room with his scouter. He knew many cunning individuals such as himself would have taken a similar occupancy in this building as Selka did, and there was only one reason for it. Somewhere in the room was a hidden passage with which the woman could come and go undetected by her coworkers.
"Oh my, how traditional," muttered Chilled to himself under his breath when his scouter located a hollowed-out space behind one of the bookshelves.
His hand raised and pointed at the western wall before he snapped his fingers. Everything in the room suddenly began to fly over to its center in a neatly stacked pile, until all the contents were cleared and he could see a large metal door. Chilled left things as they were and proceeded through the door, following a long staircase deep underground. When he finally reached the bottom and stood before another door, he scanned the room on the other side in search of Selka's spiritual presence.
Unfortunately, it seemed she wasn't home at the moment. Lights flickered to life as Chilled entered what appeared to be an underground laboratory of sorts with plenty of Namekian specimens littered about on various types of torture devices. Needless to say, none of them were still living. As Chilled strolled around the area, he noticed a long tunnel that led off into the darkness. He surmised it to be another exit that led outside.
Opposite the tunnel was a large desk with an equally exorbitant chair behind it. Chilled approached the chair to investigate, allowing his fingers to glide across the top of the desk. His pace halted stopped suddenly before he rubbed his digits together and let out a smile at the sight. Unlike Selka's previous workspace, she actually kept this place somewhat tidy. Chilled continued to round the table as he made his way to the chair when he noticed something odd about the wall behind it. A brick was slightly out of place.
"Hello," he whispered as his scouter let out a few beeps before he continued to take a seat upon the makeshift throne.
There was no need for him to continue his investigation. His scouter already alerted him to everything he needed to know. His assumption was correct. The Namekian heritage Selka was in search of, was indeed the dragonballs. As it turned out, several of which were present at this moment, in this very room. As for the others, they would be arriving shortly. Chilled decided to make himself at home and placed his feet up on the table as waited for the woman to appear. Selka came walking down the tunnel a short time later, stopping briefly along the way as though she noticed someone's presence inside her lab but still decided to enter anyway.
"Greetings," said Chilled with a smug expression as he glanced over Selka from head to toe.
The woman didn't seem like much. Her spiritual power was dismal, but she could have been hiding it though her stride didn't strike him as the type of person who was efficient in combat. At first, Chilled couldn't understand how she got the drop on so many Namekian's. They should have been inherently stronger than she was. Then he caught a whiff of the gas that had been released in the room and found his answer. Unfortunately for Selka, it did not affect him.
"What the hell!? Why aren't you sleeping yet," asked Selka, clearly annoyed as she stepped out from the darkness of the tunnel to grace Chilled with her presence.
Chilled couldn't help but let out a chuckle at her words. Such parlor tricks only worked on the feeble. She clearly had no idea who he was. "I'll be the one asking questions," replied the Changeling before he raised his hand and put an orb of ki through the woman's knee cap, sending her crashing down to the floor. "Now then, let's see what kind of use we can get out of your toys, shall we."

Selka let out a fierce howl as she hit the floor, breaking her glasses in the process. She struggled, albeit feebly, to clutch what was left of her stump with one hand in a weak attempt to stave off the flow of blood while at the same time she reached out for the mangled shin that was just liberated from her thigh with the other.
"How!?" yelled Selka in a frenzy. "How is the drug I created not affecting you?"
Chilled let out a soft chuckle as he approached the woman, stopping beside her briefly to grab a fist full of her long blonde locks of hair. "Naturally, such parlor tricks would be useless against one such as I," he responded before flaunting a fiendish smile as he started to drag her along the floor.
"W-wait, wait a minute," gasped the woman as she struggled against his grip.
Selka was quick to start flailing her limbs and pawing at the ground, trying whatever she could to free herself from the Changeling's grasp but to no avail. Chilled was far superior to any of the other warriors she had encountered before. The woman was terrible weak on her own, so without the drugs to weaken her prey beforehand, she would have had little chance to gain a controlling position over even the weakest of Namekians.
"Now-now, you should save whatever meager strength you have," said Chilled as he lifted the woman to his face so he could look her in the eyes. "I have the feeling you're going to need all the energy you can muster," he continued before entering a fit of laughter as he threw her frail body onto one of the many dissection tables that littered the room.
"Stop! Please Stop! We can talk about this, right?" pleaded Miss Selka as her limbs were being shackled to the tabletop, one by one. "I-I have information! I know things! Things about the Dragonballs! I-I can give them to you!"
"Oh yes, I'm sure you do. I'm quite aware of what you've been up to," said Chilled as he paid her ramblings little heed while he continued to fasten the woman's shackles nonchalantly. Once he was finished tightening the restraint around Selka's left arm, Chilled returned to the head of the table, where he peered over the top, looking down on the woman from above. "I'm more interested in the why. Such as, why were you gathering them? And then there's the who. As in, who are you working for?"
Selka's eyes were wandering as her consciousness had begun to fade. By now, she could barely muster the strength to keep her eyelids from closing as the blood continued to dribble out from her stump, let alone reply to the Changeling's questions. Chilled clicked his tongue in annoyance.
The clamp above her wound clearly wasn't tight enough to stop the bleeding itself, and she'd already lost quite a bit during her struggle on the way over to the table. Chilled was no master surgeon, but he knew a few little tricks to cease persistent blood loss. Ki flared around the Changeling's hand as he slowly made his way over to Selka's side while he hummed to himself a delightful tune. Selka's eyes opened wide, and she let out a howl as Chilled placed his fiery palm against her nub, cauterizing the wound.
"Still with us are you," queried Chilled in a playful tone as he extinguished the Ki that wrapped his hand. "Now then, where were we?"
