Emi blinked at Hayami's suddenly movements, looking to her with obvious confusion until she explained. This made the girl glance upwards as if she had heard such logic before but still didn't completely understand it. She shrugged though, sitting back up again.
"So what do you specialize in?" she asked, tilting her head as she realized she still didn't know that much about this commander. Everyone had a specialty, right?
ReiToday at 11:41 AM
"My specialty?" She smiled at that question before she answered, "Medic and artillery. I'm also okay with shorter range fights, but sniping and healing are what I do the most."
Different from Emi's, but ironically both useful during a siege.

“Medics are important,” she said matter of factly with a certain air of experience, though whether she had needed one or the people around her did was another story.

The kitsune smiled, as she was sure it was both sides. Probably when Emi experimented with new explosives and when she used them in testing. "I don't oboe how many of our people are medics and combat specialists combined, but it also helps keep patients out of danger."

“Most medics can fight or shoot,” Emi replied easily. “Basic training is rough on everyone.”
ReiToday at 12:46 PM
"Rough is an understatement," the kitsune laughed. It was also deadly to those that couldn't do it, in some cases. She would rather find those kind a job at a desk, rather than waste their life in basic training. Hell, janitorial work could be better. "Who did you do basic training with?"

“I help run them,” she said, seeming to miss the actual question. “Captain says you got to be rough! But not too rough. ‘Don’t kill them 3m63r,’ he says.”

Alice blinked, before she nodded. "If you're too lenient, they won't learn to respect authority or see that our orders have to be followed for a reason. They also have to learn to deal with situations that might traumatize them." Not that those truly maddened world be able to tell.
