The last time he had gone into that damn astral realm, Halcyon had finally managed to get to know someone who wasn’t just capable of giving him a run for his money, but actually managed to make him understand just how strong and capable the warriors of this era had become. This particular one though, was at the very least much more efficient than so many others he had seen so far, utilizing wit in combination with power.
With this particular humiliating defeat in mind, the primeval sat within his ship’s training room, gently settling himself down on the padded floor, closing his eyes and allowing his mind to go blank, to force his spirit to traverse into the astral plane, where he’d find himself standing on a wasteland blanketed with nothing but ice, twin suns looming over the slippery arctic land, yet only granting it a somewhat soft teal-colored light, but no heat. “Oh fine, did I think about Rath again?”
As he did not see anyone yet, the ancient being materialized his Death’s Scythe and plunged it’s hilt into the ice, using the weapon as a means to support him as he waited.

Lucas was not in a bad mood, but Namek was not exactly his favorite place. Boring and rather quiet, he found that while he waited around, it was best that he not allow his skills to vanish. His eyes closed as he allowed the tranquility around him to burn the surface away to white. Wait, was this white? He blinked then, as he wore a long trench coat and long sleeves. He was bundled for cold weather, and he chuckled. A frozen planet, was it? The gunman turned as he felt Halcyon's familiar power signature.
"Well, looks like we meet again," the Damaskian said as he waved with one hand. The cold didn't really bother him at the moment, as he tilted his head, "Did you conjure up this place? It's not Freiza, I've done work there. Nor is this Pefu, you'd smell the forge..." After all his mercenary work, he'd be able to identify several planets.
He smiled a bit as he looked at the scythe. "Ah, you like to use weapons? If I remember correctly, you used a claymore last time." The mid-range long weapons were fine, but Lucas preferred his hands and firearms. Being able to switch between melee and ranged was usually a great surprise.

“Oh for the love of...you again, hmm?” The primeval didn’t know whether to grit his teeth and scowl or smile in the sheer amusement of this being the second time in a row he’d meet the person who managed to humiliate him completely. Listening to the Damaskian wondering out loud which planet the battlefield was supposed to emulate. “This is Rath, a planet I’ve used as my base for at least twice in my life...or should I say unlife, by this time I’m no longer sure what to call it.”
It was true though that it had some similarities with the planet Frieza, one of the reasons the two hosts which seemed to love this place were the two changelings, but still in the end, Rath was his. Cracking the ice with his right foot, he grabbed the long shaft of his scythe and made a soft nod towards the Damaskian. “One uses the tools at their disposal, I suppose,” This was the truth in many ways, depending of course on what one designated as their tools. Halcyon...had named and used many things as his tools, ranging from himself, his weapons or even other living beings. “Now then, allow me to begin.”
With no word spoken, the ancient demon materialized his massive xodus blade in his free hand and threw it into the damaskian’s direction, though several yards above him, vanishing from sight, to reappear at Lucas’ left, swinging down his Scythe expertly in a diagonal slash aimed from shoulder to groin before leaping up, grabbing the hilt of the Xodus and firing down a large blast of energy towards the Damaskian.

Halcyon spoke up, that this was Rath. He wasn't familiar with the planet, he hadn't heard of it in his travels. That didn't really mean that this was something that he could ignore. Now he'd need to find out if the place still existed or was destroyed long ago. His grey eyes focused on Halcyon, however, before the demon stood up and got ready to attack. The first was not the real attack, as his psychic powers kicked in. Left. The man turned and jumped back from the scythe swing as he whistled. "Close."
This gave him the distance and time to assess his position. The blade swung at him, so he moved from that. The third attack was something that he didn't have any real time to dodge. Lucas thrust his hand out and halted the energy blast. He held it for a moment before he crushed it away. Smoke billowed from his hand as he looked over at Halcyon. "Well, there's power in there. I like it." He wasn't unharmed, but his body was naturally tough. And now it was his turn to attack.
"Don't blink." That was the only warning as he engaged his strength and speed together. The first attack was an axe kick aimed at Halcyon's scythe arm from behind, as he quickly spun to kick at the head right away. The he followed up with his own blast, this time from his hand. He aimed this at the primevil's back, something that exspanded quickly before it exploded. He jumped back and then into the air as he leveled twin fingers at him as he flared off another attack. Ki sped to Halcyon before he exploded that one too, it would have looked like the Fourth of July to those from Earth.
He waved his hand a bit before he grunted, "We coulda just talked this time, but since you wanna fight..." The hand still smoked from the demon's attack.

Of course his opponent was tough as nails, that was to be expected after the last little tussle they had, but unlike so many thought Halcyon was not a mere tactical fighter, but a cunningly calculating one. He did not create mere tactics to be used in fights, he tailored his own style to best suit the opponent he was facing and as he had seen this Damaskian’s speed and strength before, he now had an advantage compared to their last bout: he knew what to expect.
Alas, knowing what to expect and actually being able to combat it were still far apart when it was a fight with someone who in essence was leagues beyond him. It was...difficult, but luckily also not impossible.
With his own combo actually ending up being relatively successful, bar the missed slash with his scythe, the primeval almost expected some sort of swift retaliation, which he instantly got when the Damaskian managed to get close and land a hard, powerful axe kick upon the arm carrying his scythe, which did end up having a beneficial result, as dropping the scythe had the result of unbalancing Halcyon, who staggered slightly to the right, narrowly missing being punted in the head by Lucas’ next move, only to actually make the following energy blast more effective, thus launching the ancient being forward. However, the next attack that came in was...arguably the most annoying, a point blank high caliber attack he had seen just once before and it had nearly ripped him to shreds.
Not allowing the ki itself to even approach him nor touch him, his own aura flared up considerably to repel any and all ki that would try to affect him, holding up his now free hand to launch a black spinning disc of energy into his opponent’s direction. “Talking is always nice, but this is the astral realm boy, if we don’t at least break a sweat here, where else would we be able to do this at our leisure?”

Ebony ki flared to life from Halcyon, an attack that he believed resembled the kienzan that the perverted human Master from Earth taught. Lucas brought his hand out as he allowed ki to flow like water as he caught the disk. It howled against his more dense ki for a few moments before he crushed the energy into sparkles of black dust. "You misunderstand, demon. Talking can be almost as beneficial as fighting." But that was not the reason that he decided to do this. Lucas pushed himself from his position, and changed up the flow of combat. He attacked much in the same way that Halcyon had seen him in their last encounter, but he changed everything at the crucial moment.
Instead of the afterimage that he had struck at him with first, the Damaskian launched the punch at his gut, with his other fist risen. The fist that had pulled up then flew forward with a quick snap, followed quickly with the elbow aimed to strike Halcyon towards the ground. As the Damaskian followed the face-paced combination, his azure aura surrounded him before he smiled. "But I suppose this ain't too bad either. I was getting tired of cultists and their little pets."
Lucas aimed to grab Halcyon's collar and slam him into the ground, should the snag reach the demon. He pulled a rifle out in one hand on the opposite side and aimed that at Halcyon before he pulled the trigger. He was sur Halcyon would understand that bullets made of pure energy hurt less than those made out of his ki. All he needed was one empty chamber.

Witnessing how the young man managed to simply grab a hold of the black disk of rapidly spinning energy he had thrown at him, Halcyon’s eyes momentarily widened before narrowing ever so slightly, showing he did find this a rather interesting thing to watch. However, when the kienzan had been shattered to naught but black dust particles dissipating in the air, the Primeval knew almost instinctively that there would be another rapid retaliation coming from this young, but unapologetically strong opponent.
Already bracing himself, he noticed the afterimage again and realized that it was indeed going to be another swift beatdown he had to contend with. Perhaps through sheer luck, ixed with the fact that he did doubt his opponent would even dare to try the exact same move again, the primeval managed to hear the displacement of the air near him, a faint, but telltale sign of his opponent readying himself for an attack. Barely able to move the blade he had been holding in a short enough time, the primeval made a quarter turn, lifting his Xodus’ blade while ducking behind it, feeling himself and the massive blade slightly backwards just from the impact of the initial punch. Shifting his weight a bit, Halcyon swung his blade to the side to feel the weapon reverberate on the impact of the second strike upon it, only to feel a sudden elbow strike hit him in the neck and force him to lose his balance and be launched ever so slightly forward.
Though this time, he didn’t seem to fall just so easily, as he got caught by the collar of his attire and slammed down onto his back, with a rifle now nearly sticking up his nose. Even so, Halcyon simply smiled, letting go of the Xodus blade, allowing it to dematerialize. “Now now...going this far just to have a talk is a bit excessive, won’t you say?”

"I didn't think that we had broken a sweat yet," the Damaskian quipped in retort as he held he hand out to lift the Primevil, should he choose to accept the gesture. Even if Halcyon acted like he had no interest in the Shadowguard, they were both members of it, at the very least. However, there was a moment that if Halcyon tried anything, he'd be well to note that the Damaskian's normally grey eyes thrummed with power behind them. Not the crazy at the end of their last encounter, but a blue glow that showed he had more potential.
He smiled a bit then, a little twisted in that regard, as he added, "Besides, you were still holding that giant sword." Was that supposed to just be read as? Defensive? To Lucas, a former mercenary, that was aggression. As a military operative, he had to read that as aggression all the same. "Now then, I think it's about time I hear about your goal." After all, this was something he'd need to know. Why? The question should be obvious: why was Halcyon with Damaskia? And that if his goals were lied about, even in this frozen space, it'd be hard to keep that truth from a fellow telepath.
"Oh, and do be careful with the rest of the Shadowguard. I might have just recently returned, but there are people far above me that hold even greater powers," he said this as he place a hand to his lips, normally held in reserve for a secrets. But this was hardly a hidden one, so was there more meaning? Halcyon would have to drag that out of him by talking. A bluff, that Lucas had friends in higher places? A hint that he had relatives in even higher places? The truth and the lie, or was it all truth and no lies? The opposite? It would be hard to guess the answers against the Master of Shadows.
