Bardock began his drift through the astral sea. His mind sturdy while his body floated in the rejuvenation tank. Soon enough he began to latch onto another lingering mind, one unfamiliar to him. Manifesting into a realm that looked rather familiar, Bardock stood in the gentle breeze of rolling green fields of grass.
“Hm, what we got here?” He said with snark as he looked over the man.
Credius — Yesterday at 2:25 PM
With his mind drifting into the astral realm during his meticulously planned meditation training aboard his ship, Halcyon could only feel a sort of elated feeling when the first person to be spotted by his eyes in this new location, was what appeared to be a saiyan at first sight, not that Damaskian named Lucas who had thoroughly humiliated him. Taking in this new opponent's form, the Primeval made a gentle bow when what he pressumed to be a saiyan gave him a rather snarky greeting. "Allow me to introduce myself as Halcyon, child of the saiyan race," A chuckle escaped his lips, as he made a gesture for the saiyan to show some proper conduct as well. After all, as they were strangers, a meeting should not be without some cordial beginnings. "Now then, shall we?"
Balial — Yesterday at 2:31 PM
Bardock’s tail flicked leisurely as the man referred to him as a Saiyan. “Bardock, the one and only,” he said before rolling his right shoulder around slightly, limbering his limbs. At the invention of Halcyon the Savage Elite pounced like a lion on a sheep.
His movements were clean, simple, and direct- a considerable improvement from the previous battle he had faced. Even in this astral sparring realm Bardock could feel his muscles tense with pain, but he pushed it deep within, his rage acting as the focal point for his recent failure.
His right hand engulfed itself in ki, a fundamental move that would gauge his opponents defenses. As he twisted his forearm to generate torque, he simultaneously snapped his elbow like a whip, if the blow would land or be blocked there would be an unfathomable amount of ki discharged into a violent explosion.
Credius — Yesterday at 2:39 PM
Hearing the man give him the requested introduction in a rather aloof and nonchalant way, the Primeval simply smirked, amused by this somewhat lax nature of this meeting. However, this smirk quickly vanished to form a more neutral looking expression when Halcyon could feel the air shift after he had invited the saiyan to engage in this little bout. Due to his own calculative nature, the ancient demon hardly reacted to the first move, being thrown back over a considerable distance, while some blood seemed to trickle out of the side of his mouth.
Wiping this off, he simply chuckled, raised his hand and fired off a few successive, extremely fast thin beams of energy towards Bardock, just to continue sizing up his opponent.
Balial — Yesterday at 6:25 PM
Bardock could have dodged them, each of them, but there was a bit of him that screamed from the inside. A piece that desired pain, pain for his loss, pain for his failure, pain for his shame. So he took them, he took them all. Each one impacting his body with a vicious explosion that sent him skidding back until he came to a halt.
He held his arms in an “x”, sizzling from the energy that impacted him. Slowly he lifted his gaze to the demon, his eyes bloodshot and angered.
“Give me your best shot.”
Credius — Yesterday at 8:55 PM
"Hmm?" The Primeval tilted his head slightly to the side, his eyes showing a somewhat manic sense in them as his lips curled into a vicious grin. "Well, if you insist."
Materializing his Xodus blade, he threw it into the saiyan's direction, but above him. Following this up, the Primeval materialized his massive Death's scythe, rushing straight into Bardock's direction, twirling the scythe around with the aim of slicing the saiyan through the gut, followed by Halcyon vanishing from sight, grabbing hold of his Xodus blade and firing a large blast of energy down upon the saiyan.
Balial — Yesterday at 9:53 PM
From above, much like the attack from Changa that had sealed his fate in that failure of a mission. “Not this time,” he grumbled as if facing Changa again through Halcyon. He took a step to the side, easily avoiding the deadly slash and creating a wide opening for more defensive movements.
Halcyon was experienced though, covering all openings with excellent movements of a materialized death scythe. “Not bad,” barked the savage elite, his face plastered from ear to ear.
“Let’s see how you manage this!” As the scythe carved itself a path to Bardock’s midsection, the Saiyan materialized his own spear and reposed the attack.
Just as he did a gigantic gathered orb of ki rained down upon him as if hell itself decided to open the gates and flood the planes with demons. His arms had little time to react and he found himself buckled under the forced. Panting with exhaustion from the quick spar he smiled.
“Still up for more?” He asked with another toothy grin.
Credius — Yesterday at 10:16 PM
It was surprising to actually see a spear that could stop his scythe, HIS scythe, which had been crafted with the bones of his own kin. The peculiarity of this was quickly overshadowed by the fact that the saiyan just seemed to be indomitable, overwhelmingly so. "Hmm, you're holding back...aren't you?"
By now Halcyon had long figured out that he was far from the strongest in this particular universe, certainly in this flawed, decrepit vessel of his. Having felt the spear cutting through his flesh, as his own attack had faded, he finally dropped to one knee, holding himself up with the grip of his scythe, black liquid running down his side. Even in the astral realm, pain was still pain and he could feel it.
Dematerializing his scythe, the Primeval rose to his feet and coughed, removing his hand from his wound and raising both arms to create two rapidly spinning discs of black energy. "It's not like anyone's died in here," Halcyon jokingly exclaimed, throwing both discs towards the saiyan.
Balial — Today at 4:03 AM
To the Saiyan it seemed that the demon was enjoying the fight as well. The tone at which he used almost sounded light hearted, it was good. Exactly the thing that Bardock needed, a fight that would allow him freely enjoy himself while not fully committing time and energy to something.
Much more fun that facing that damn child and pig.
His eyes watched at two discs formed like buzzsaws inches from the demons hand. Bardock’s feet slid in place, preparing to dispatch the attacks with relative ease.
As they came toward him he let out a might roar, lacing his voice with overwhelming amounts of ki, enough to negate that attack entirely.
“Nah, not holding back..” The elite said as he stood for his wide stance. “Just training on my defense, seems like something I need to work on.” There was truth in the words he spoke, after all defense cost him more than just the battle.
Credius — Today at 4:20 PM
"Working on your defense, hmm?" The primeval's lips curled up slightly in a grin, it was almost too obvious that his opponent was holding back, but if it was a simple test of endurance and all for the sake of testing and improving one's defense, it was not a bad thought to up the ante a bit. After all, Halcyon was keen on just further honing his own skills as well. Thus he chose to envelop himself in his own black ki, until he seemed to be swallowed up by it completely.
As the mass of Ki seemed to harden in a spherical shape, it cracked and shattered, revealing the ancient demon's new form, still humanoid, but seemingly covered by a slick, almost skinsuit like white cover, which enveloped the entire body, only flaring out in four seperate robes around the midsection.
As soon as he appeared, Halcyon instantly materialized both his scythe and his massive Xodus blade, increasing his speed dramatically by leaping towards the saiyan and making a simultaneous diagonal slash with both weapons, making it looks like a cross.
Balial — Today at 4:38 PM
Donning the white robes the new found sparring partner of the Savage Elite developed a heightened skill in both speed and strength. Clad in ivory he rushed the Saiyan, mind throwing caution to the wind at his opponent's lackadaisical defense. Bardock paid zero heed to the grin or the new form, he simply watched the limbs move. Their silent dance through the air as Halcyon's fingers curled around the hilt and shafts of his two bladed weapons.
Bardock had his spear, he was sure he could stop the physical assault, which was on of the much needed points he needed to train for. His eyes closed creating a sensory deprivation and allowing his mind's eye to open wide. Blue streaks appeared before him, as if they were the strings of time and fate themselves, allowing Bardock to see moments before they happened. Instead of using this gift to dodge the attack, Bardock traced the lines until they crossed and where they would meet his center mass. Without hesitation he slammed the point of his spearhead forward, clashing the three weapons with sparks and steel as the attack was quickly redirected.
Even though he had avoided the attack's main source of damage the force behind the attack sent him reeling back. Vibrations that traveled down his arms shook him to his bones and a sting struck his palms. "Hey! Not bad, that one hurt a bit," he said with a growl as he twirled his spear around his body and motioned for another assault.
Credius — Today at 4:56 PM
Seeing that same spear again, beneath the cover over his face, the Primeval let out a chuckle. That weapon was impressive and quite intriguing, being capable of withstanding not just the Xodus blade, but his Death's scythe not once, but twice already. Letting the Xodus dematerialize again, Halcyon gently clapped his hands while holding the scythe tucked with its shaft in between his right elbow. "That was a very splendid use of foresight if I might say so myself, perhaps it may be good to further hone my mental capacity in that regard as well."
Cracking his neck, by tilting his head from ione side to the other, the primeval grabbed his scythe firmly with both hands for once, bending through one leg, while sliding the other slightly behind him. "Now," With his entire form suddenly vibrating, the top half of the covers started to dissintegrate, revealing Halcyon's face once again, but this time with longer smoother hair and his eyes bearing that demonic sheen of purple and silver. "One more go at it."
With his form now shining in a blue hue, the ancient demon seemed to shimmer for a moment, until he suddenly appeared without any blue light of shimmer in front of the saiyan, shifting the weight of his scythe, bringing it down to the side in an attempt to slice through the saiyan with boundless vigor. Yet this time, he did not stop with just one slice, as he made a quarter turn, sliding accross the ground, lowered the scythe and flipped it with the blade pointing upwards, rapidly lifting up the scythe in a vertical slash with all his strength behind the swing. "Curious weapon you got there, seems pretty tough."
Balial — Today at 5:23 PM
"You had my curiosity, but now you have my attention." Bardock smirked as the lowered into a polearm stance, matching Halcyon's movements with his own. The silver and purple eyed demon began to shake and his form shimmered. Blue light radiated from his mass moments before he suddenly vanished. Even for the veteran eyes of the Saiyan, the demon was hard to see. His movements wild and yet so precise. The wind struck first, blowing back the Saiyan's guard and pose as he felt the vicious bite of the scythe on his shoulder.
Blood oozed from the carved flesh and crimson liquid quickly pooled down at the base of his ivory staff. Bardock released a growl of grit and pain as he clenched down on his jaw tightly. The scythe had made its clean cut, but yet the man wasn't done, he turned slightly and slithered low to the ground like a viper before suddenly striking out. The razor sharp blade rocketed vertically just as the Savage Elite leaned back, barely missing the strike by an inch. For the first time in the battle Bardock lashed out, mostly due to the pain. The butt of his spear snapped out toward the bridge of the man's nose's and threatened to cave in the cartridge. His counter was quickly recoiled back into a guarded stance as he huffed and puffed from the screaming wound.
"Interestin' strike there bub." Bardock growled, his hand lifting to hold his arm.
Credius — Today at 5:35 PM
It was rather nice to see his own actions work as predicted...at least until his rising claw technique ended up with himself being knocked backwards, black liquid pouring out of at least on of his nostrils as he grabbed onto the bridge of his nose. Feeling the sharp pain on his face, reverberating throughout his upper and lower jaw and giving him a splitting headache, Halcyon sucked in the air through his teeth. "God...damn...crap, I'm probably going to feel this when I get back from here," A sour chuckle escaped the man's mouth as he leaned his head backwards to try and minimize the bleeding. "Here I am throwing everything I have at you and you're hardly even sweating, you're one tough bastard."
Laughing out loud, Halcyon gave himself a few seconds to regain his bearings, allowing his opponent to do the same, given that nasty gash of earlier probably didn't do wonders to the saiyan's own fortitude either.
"Allright, one last go," The ancient demon snickered, removing his hand from his nose as he wiped away the still trickling black blood from his lips, grasping his scythe with both hands again, as it suddenly started to crackle with black lightning surrounding it. "Get ready..."
Instantly, he launched himself towards Bardock, letting out a loud howl, the demon vanished from sight, reappearing on the saiyan's right hand side, spinning the scythe around his wrist before making a diagonal slash from the front to the back, even if it were to be blocked, Halcyon simply vanished again to reappear on the other side to attempt the same move, but now with a diagonal cleave from back to front before taking a backwards jump and sending the scythe spinning through the air straight towards the saiyan.
Balial — Today at 5:53 PM
The moment to recompose himself was much needed and much appreciated as he cracked his neck in similar fashion as Halcyon had done previous. Two loud and single pops from his left lean and then the right sounded in quick succession as he exhaled. Ki flowed to his palm and his mind focused on singeing the wound shut. "Yeah, I will be too." He grunted as the flesh sizzled under the heat of his own ki.
What followed happened in slow motion, his mind focusing not on the movements of his foe, but instead on the movements of his own body. As Halcyon appeared Bardock lifted two fingers. It was a race against time, a ticking clock on who would be able to land a blow first- Bardock's fingers against his head or the demon's attack. Luckily Bardock had managed his technique first, instantly vanishing from causing the attacks to whiff past him.
"Not bad at all!" Bardock said as he clapped his hands. "You got some skill, that's for sure. I am looking forward to doing this again. Hacylon was it? I'll remember that." Bardock said with a hearty chuckle before vanishing from the sparring realm.
Credius — Today at 6:05 PM
Noticing the use of the Instant Transmission technique way to late, the primeval wondered just how hilarious of a sight it must've been for the saiyan to see the primeval swing a few times in the air. Leaning forward to catch his breath, Halcyon could only raise his scythe to see Bardock off, before closing his eyes and follow suite in leaving the astral realm.
