Aboard his ship, sitting in the command chair of the mighty vehicle's bridge, Halcyon was calmly overseeing a project he had been hankering for ever since he had realized that the vessel he was inhabiting was not going to last all too long. Looking over at the numbers, it all did remind him of how that saiyan of before had behaved himself, showing a lust for power and strength he himself had never truly had, yet it did act as an inspiration, a reinvigoration of something he had thought long lost in the depths of time: his spirit. Bardock was right, the vessels were all too weak, so in stead of trying to counter his own corruption, perhaps seeking evolution would be a great thing to do while searching the cosmos. With a smile on his face, he removed all the floating, holographic tabs in front of him and closed his eyes while leaning backwards, still thinking about that saiyan and the proposition they had almost made last time.
As such, due to his mind being filled with the thoughts of that saiyan and saiyans in general, he opened his eyes in the Astral realm, gazing upon the harsh, rocky and windy badlands that had once been the planet Sadala, the original homeplanet of the Saiyans, which had turned into this state for some reason, forcing the saiyans to seek out a new home and finding it on Vegeta. "Heh, the sheer arrogance of that one fool," The Primeval mused as he raised his hand to calm down the wind and avoid having to shout whenever an opponent would stumble upon the place. "ah...the old days were fun..."

Bardock sat upon his command chair of the Saiyan Dreadnaught. His eyes peering deep through the front porthole over the planet of Toffit, the home of Celestials. A power had beckoned him, calling to him from an abyss he knew little about. Yet still he found himself wondering the void of space to answer the call. He began to press button the arm of his seat, each tap flaring its own light as he the ship prepared for landing.
"Wake me when we land, I'm taking a nap." He commanded as his unit saluted with acknowledgment of the order in unison. Walking to his quarters he wasted little time, resting back with his hands folded behind his head. "Lets see what our new pal is up to..." He said as his mind slowly drifted between a stage of sleep and alertness.
Bardock began to phase into a place that was familiar too him, all too familiar. "You have jokes," he said as he turned, facing Halcyon. "Whats the purpose of choosing my home? Does it interest you?" Bardock walked with the wind to his back, his red handband's strings billowing in the wind as he did. He let his fist rest themselves in the folds of his elbows as he crossed his arms over his chest. "How've you been, any news of that body of your's?"
Credius — 06/09/2021
Halcyon laughed when noticing that his companion in this astral version of Sadala was exactly the one he was hoping to meet. "It is funny how you saiyans recognize Sadala even when most of you, if not all of you have never been there personally," Letting out a sigh, the primeval gave the saiyan a rather aloof shrug. "I may have some new clues to go on, but funny enough that is not my most pressing concern. It seems I have to speed up my progress in finding a new vessel."
Opening the haki he was wearing, he slid aside the folds of cloth covering his chest, showing how his skin had started to discolour and crack, as if it were turning to brittle charcoal. "It's already impossible for me to rewind the decay, so it might very well be the last time you'll be seeing me with this face," Cheekily tapping the side of his visage with his index finger, Halcyon smiled. "Pity, I really liked how this one looked..."
Balial — 06/10/2021
Bardock looked over the endless wastelands of the old planet, he was just a boy when his father had told him stories of their home world, but he only recalled them in brief memories. "Well, my dad was there, he supported King Vegeta and the union of the other tribes before we invaded the current planet. It is why the capitol it called Sadala. It pays respect to the old planet we lost."
Halcyon continued with a chuckle, a sigh, and then his explanation. Bardock could feel the aggravation in his voice, the constant struggle of reaching for a goal that was seemingly unobtainable. The Savage Elite eyes fell on the cracked and withered skin of the demon. Corruption from his power was already seeping through the vessel and he could tell Halcyon was in need of a new host.
"That's rough," he said, bending over as he touched the rusted dust of his ancestors home. "You find a new host or is this more of a snatching whoever you want, kind of deal?" Bardock let the dirt slid through his fist, tumbling out the bottom of his balled hand as he remained squatted.
Credius — 06/10/2021
"Hmm," He didn't know about the capital of planet Vegeta being called Sadala, though to be fair, Halcyon had little interest in learning too much of the saiyans' heritage, since they had already proven to be rather difficult to assimilate into a vessel. Last time he had had a saiyan body was upon the very soil the astral plane had recreated and he remembered how he got killed by one with striking blond hair at that time. "Well...the more you know."
Hearing the question the Saiyan made, it actually made the Primeval wonder about the same thing. There were blanks in his memory, moments in which he had actually been born inside a host from the start, slithering like a parasite from one generation to the next, other times he had just died alongside the host and had to go through the slow process of reconstituting himself...the list went on, but one thing was certain: death was never finite.
“Well...technically anything goes, though my control of any vessel is limited so long as the original consciousness exists,” It was never easy to find a compatible host, but those who were ambitious and headstrong were usually quite annoying to deal with, his last host was one of those and it took the Primeval almost fifty years to just overcome that host’s mind. “It’s a hassle, but creating one from scratch seems to be the best option, which isn’t all too hard if one has the tools and knowledge for it.”
Balial — 06/10/2021
"Making a meat suit then, are you?" Bardock said as he stood up and began patting his hands on his thighs, dusting off the dirt that still rested on his palm. "I have to thank you for this Halcyon, this is quite the site, shit hole or not. My father always told me about it, didn't think it would look so similar to the wastelands back home though."
Bardock then turned to the elder demon, his eyes peering directly at the man as he thought of his words carefully. "So, what are you going to make then? What suits.... your fancy>" He couldn't help but chuckle at his own wise crack, but still the question was genuine. "What struggles are you running into, maybe I can help, been around the universe a lot you see."
Credius — 06/10/2021
“I reckon meatsuit is the correct term...even if it HAS a consciousness, they’re nothing more than that to me,” Chuckling at the thought of calling all his former hosts meatsuits right to their face...that would’ve been hilarious in retrospect. In all honesty, it was what they were, but still...some of those hosts were actually quite good companions, people that were interested in his own past, his goals and his knowledge. Even if his goal was always to fully control the body, Halcyon did have some hosts he could relate to, hosts who he could understand and who could understand him. Yet there were also those like the last one, who were more keen on controlling and using him...a futile idea and a pointless effort, but still worth the recognition. “Hmm, this place holds memories for many people, be they good or bad. I think it was some sort of dispute that eventually doomed this place...the futility of war...a thing I am all too familiar with.”
Things he’d need for his creation of a new body without having to go through the process of cleansing an already living and breathing vessel…”To be fair, I do have the intel on how they created the body which was my last vessel, the template on which I had built this one,” He paused and closed his eyes, letting out a sigh. “Two things...two things may help...a sample of a Primeval, a remnant of my kin and a sample of a strong and pure celestial. Either is good to start from, as they form the basis of a demon anyway...and a demon is the most compatible race.”
Tilting his head slightly to the left, Halcyon’s lips curled into a smile, hoping that the saiyan would realize what his next words truly meant. “Now...how do you think I’m so familiar with the power of the majin?”
Balial — 06/10/2021
"Not from what my pops told me." Bardock said looking into the breeze of wind that rolled over the land. "Sadala was on the verge of destruction from natural disaster. Year after year the tribes were drifting further apart and each of them fought for right to be the strongest. But when it came to the end, King Vegeta had managed to band the tribes together, show them how dire their situation was." He took as pause as he scanned the horizon. "It is hard to say exactly what happened, but the planet was wiped from the history books, the Saiyans invaded the Truffles as a means to survive, and ended up taking the planet for themselves. That is why the Saiyans, especially the elder ones, are so loyal to the crown. King Vegeta has literally saved them from destruction."
Bardock listened closely as Halcyon explained his needs, and he hummed to himself. His hand lifted out and a blade materialized from thin air, a spear that Halcyon had seen once before. "This is crafted from the blood of eldritch horrors, a gift from a demon I once knew named Hades. He was said to be the first of king of hell, hunting his own and feasting upon their flesh to gain power." Bardock held out his other hand, summon a horn that was twisted and stained with crimson. "This is a demon's horn, I ripped it from the skull of an ancient skeleton, I am not sure who it could be though."
Then Halcyon's voice caught Bardock off guard, mentioning Majin once more, peaking the Saiyans curiosity. "Enlighten me...." The Saiyan Rebel said with a cocked eyebrow.
Credius — 06/10/2021
Halcyon shrugged when hearing the history of Sadala from the point of view of a saiyan. “A planet ruined by war or natural disaster, in the end it doesn’t really matter now, does it?” The ancient demon grabbed a handful of dust from the ground and let go of it slowly, witnessing as the dust and rust danced upon the wind. “I wasn’t there when it happened, I had my hands full with the rebellion on Mortoseth around that time...I think, when one’s life spans the entirity of creation, time itself becomes blurred and difficult to navigate through.”
Hearing someone mention some demon as being the first king of Hell, the primeval tilted his head a bit in curiosity. “So...a demon taking on the title king of hell...must’ve been a second or third generation runt not knowing their heritage and place.”
Upon the reveal of the spear, Halcyon obliged by materializing his own Scythe, which had been crafted from the bones of one of his own kin, but despite that, it no longer held enough of the power he needed for his own creation. The demon horn though was a less shocking reveal, as Halcyon himself had possession of such a horn as well. “I believe they’re just really old horns, still vibrant with the power of the first generation of their kin. The old demons were so much more powerful and loyal to their masters than the ones we see these days.”
Smirking slightly as he leaned upon his scythe, the Primeval motioned Bardock to really think about it. “If I need to bend a conscience to my will to properly control a host, is not the manipulation and corruption of said mind through the power of a demon, the perfect tool for someone like me?”
Balial — Yesterday at 10:01 AM
"So, you do this often?" Bardock let the items vanish like dust in the wind as his arms folded over his armored chest. "Majin others under the guise of power only to control them as a puppet?" Slowly putting the pieces together the Saiyan chuckled to himself.
"You see, I knew there was a catch." Bardock shook his head slowly as it feel down toward the surface of the ruined planet. "You know, I almost want the power, to be honest it is calling to me. The bloodthirsty nature of us Saiyans is just like that, but I don't know if I can handle being someone's puppet." He looked up at Halcyon, curious to see the demons reaction, what was his man thinking?
Did he want to majin Bardock, did he want to grant him power in order to one day snatch his own body as a vessel. Or was this simply a conversation, a means to explain the questions Bardock had once asked him previously.
Credius — Yesterday at 1:07 PM
The primeval laughed loudly, bending a bit forward as he had to take a deep breath. "I won't deny the fact that I have used it in such a way, but I merely wish to explain to you that you may lose who you are when relying on Majin powers," Still somewhat snickering, Halcyon waved with his hand in the air. "But no, over the entire time I've been doing this, I've learned pure saiyans are...difficult to have as a host."
Walking up closer to Bardock, Halcyon pointed at the saiyan's chest and raised his head, tilting it slightly backwards with a sinister grin plastered upon his face. "Ofcourse, nothing is free and simply handing over power to someone who may very well come back to bite me is not something I look forward too..."
With a sleight of hand, the primeval conjured up a large bone-like needle, pricked himself in his finger and as he removed the needle, the black liquid trickling out of his finger turning into a smoke-like substance, swirling above his hand. "Swallow this...no matter if this is the astral realm or not, it'll grant you what you desire...a part of me will always be with you, guide you, strengthen you...but beware, the first time you use it...you might not like what will happen, I know it to be rather...painful."
Balial — Yesterday at 2:05 PM
Bardock was tempted, the power was more than enticing, yet still he struggled to fully grasp the situation. Was obtaining Majin the power he sought so direly? Was the payoff worth it at all, or was this all part of the demons tricks. The Savage Elite could tell the demon was being honest, straight forward, and had little to hide even with the silver tongue he possessed.
Still the pieces of the puzzle didn't sit right in the head of the Saiyan. The black ooze continued to seep through the pinhole made from the onyx needle. Each drop caused a frog to catch itself inside his throat and he looked up at the sinister grin of Halcyon.
"We need to establish a pack first, I refuse to go into this blind." Bardock said with determination and pride. "First, I will answer your calls for aid." He held up one finger. "Second, if you need something I can try and get it for you, but my Empire's demands come first." He paused for dramatic effect before continuing. "Third and final, if I so desire, I will have the right to fight you if you take my freedom from me. Now listen close, I will kill you if it comes to that. Do you still want to grant me this power?"
Credius — Yesterday at 2:17 PM
The Primeval was slightly taken aback by Bardock desiring to lay down some ground rules, if anything...this was a first. On the other hand though, it was also the first time Halcyon had brought someone willingly under the Majin power, usually using it to corrupt a target or to break their will, now here he was offering it freely to a willing person...as expected, this saiyan was just interesting and amusing, not at all the usual dimwitted type his kin were quite often.
"Well, I firstly see no issue with the saiyan empire, they can do as they please...as long as it does not impede my own goals," That should've been a fair retort, loyalty to his home was one thing, but The primeval wouldn't have the empire standing in the way of his own aspirations either, it was after all a quid pro quo situation they were in. "The latter...really amusing, but I'll abide by it."
Raising his hand and offering the swirling cloud of Ki and demonic energy, the ancient being smiled. "If you're ready to have a real trip...go and gulp down on this." If Bardock would do so, there would be an instant shift in his perception, the entirety of the astral realm around him flashing brightly before going dark, a pulsating energy seemingly coming from within. "Just relax, let it wash over you like a rainstorm and it'll be fine, it's just your mind trying to cope with the outside influence. Just relax...relax..."
Balial — Yesterday at 2:53 PM
The agreement was more like a contract, the two of them knew what they were getting involved in now, yet Bardock knew less in comparison. No longer did the Savage Elite hesitate, he had the contract that allowed him the comfort to accept the terms, mainly because he felt that they were now on his own terms.
"Fine, you got yourself a deal." Bardock held out his right hand, cupping it against his left as he let the smoky ki and the black blood drip into a small pool in his palm. It took nothing more than a moment for there to be enough to drink and as he took one last look at the demon he couldn't help but narrow his eyes.
"Down the hatch," he said before slamming back the blood as if it were a shot of alcohol. No, it was worse than the strongest whiskey, it was thick like syrup and tasted like old pennies. He shook his head and struggled to force the blood down, but suddenly there was a blinding flash of white light.
Screams... Millions of them filled his head. Each scream was distinct in their own way, yet they were all uniformed. Each voice was distinguishable from the other and at the same time they spoke in unison. Bardock fell to his knees holding his head on both sides in pain. Shaking back and forth he began to scream in pain, eventually his voice resonated with the others. He could hear the voice of Halcyon break through the others, commanding him to relax, over and over again.
Then it happened, just as commanded, he began to calm. Frightening in reality, he knew there would be a catch, but for his emotions to be under total control was jaw-dropping. Like an ocean after a storm his body just simply melted into the floor, his shoulders dropped low and his neck hung down. His heartbeat no longer pounded into his chest, but he felt soothed.
Suddenly, just as he snapped into conciousness once more, his aura flared around him. No longer colorless as it had normal been. It was bright and dark at the same time, whirls of silver mixed with sparks of black
and crimson, he had gained a power unlike anything he felt. Finally there was a burning, carving across his forehead as if he was getting a tattoo. He could feel the letter burn itself into his skull, the symbol of the majin, an "M".
Credius — Yesterday at 4:17 PM
Seeing how the saiyan finally got his composure after the few moments that seemed to last for an eternity, displaying the use of the majin power in the form his changed aura and the obvious calligraphic 'M' on his forehead, Halcyon spread his arms erasing the entirety of the surroundings, hundreds of pairs of eyes now looked down from the darkness upon Bardock, silver swirls of Ki connecting them all to the Primeval. "We will witness you greatness and if it is the will of the Truth, you will see the End alongside me or face me when that time comes. For now, you and I are bonded and as you offer blood and rage, I will offer wisdom and council."
With that said, the eyes vanished and only an endless plain of grass, flowers and fresh air could be seen. For a moment the Primeval chuckled, a hearty smile on his face. "One has to love theatrics, no?" He reached with his hand to his head, saluting the saiyan. "There will come a time when I will call upon your aid, but for now...rest assured that I will uphold my end of the deal and will aid you if you wish for my council."
Then, he simply vanished, leaving the saiyan to his own devices, only to show that where Halcyon stood, the gras had turned to rot and the ground had withered.
Balial — Yesterday at 5:48 PM
Bardock felt his body surge with power as the demon vanished from the astral realm. He looked down at each of his hands, one at a time, with his hands changing from being spread to being closed.
“Unbelievable,” he said quietly. “This power is going to decide it all!” He roared as his aura flared to its full potential for the first time in his life.
