We had talked about changing or adding an item to boost RP gains on a planet. I stand by that RP buffs are not passive gains as they require you to write, and a few of these buffs already exist on canon worlds. Having more motivation to RP on your planet to build its lore and quests would be beneficial. I wouldn't even be against sports teams being changed as such. Houses or mansions is an option. RP gains on organization planets can be boosted by fifty percent in guided roleplays with that organisation's RP guide. I'm talking about a general boost. This would apply to doing your rank quests which you can't expect someone to guide you through, or just giving you more reason to be on a world that actually benefits you when posting PS's and such. I'm talking like 5% or something too, not the huge RP Guide boost. Plus my bigger point was towards custom planets not canon planets.

It should probably take an action and possibly require a prepared item slot. Item effects aren't supposed to be defended against though, when I created the lava cannon it was meant to just be taken (hence the low damage.) If it isn't changed on the main site (probably is) then I would actually change that all back. It was ruled with Phantom Hourglass that any item effect with a DR can be dodged or blocked and are generally treated as Specials unless otherwise stated. So you can still dodge the Lunar Defense or block it. I was also under the impression it did take one action to activate. (Since specials are immune to a lot of defensive techs that's why a lot of shit started stating treat it as an advanced or whatever.)

I do not recall when exactly this change happened, but what Emi said. Unless otherwise stated, 'items' that fire a DR of some sort do take an action and can only be dodged or blocked. So I may have unintentionally mislead the way I feel about Lunar Defense since it's not technically free damage - it does require an action used and iirc, not a prepared item slot. To clarify, my bigger issue with items like Lunar Defense are more in that in team battles places more emphasis on the action disparity without the drawbacks of traditional multi-target techniques. I should also note, the change for items like Lava Cannon to function as a fundamental were done to bring those types of items out of the special category and give them some more potential defenses, though this was something that was supposed to be observed due to potential issues, it was an experimental change and to be observed in battle. Not all items that fire DR's were effected, Lava Cannon may be the only one that survived. Just so the intention was known behind it.
