Jax:
There was a poster fluttering that was clutched in the hands of a teenage woman. The poster was of a bounty and the creature was of a Rabbit. She was on Earth looking for any clues which she didn't expect the whole process to be difficult. Based off the photo, the creature looked like a humanoid rabbit. Surely someone like that would have stuck out like a sore thumb.
The pink-haired warrior decided to stop her search for a moment to sit against a wall. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a shadow of what looked to be of a creature with animal-like qualities. She decided to follow whatever it was, thinking that they, along with Monster Carrot, was part of an animal mafia.
Being as silent as she could, the Halfling stepped with absolute quietness. When she arrived around the corner, she noticed that the person was no longer there until she heard footsteps. Unsure, she followed the sound hoping that she'd met whoever they belonged to.
[8:34 PM] Erian: When she followed the sounds, a cat sprung out from the shadows and landed on top of a closed trash can. She was a blue shade and had golden eyes. It would seem that the cat knew she was being followed and led the pink haired youth here. Why?
Well to get answers of course. With a drawn out voice, that seemed bored more than anything, the female cat spoke with a very feminine voice.
"And is there a reason you are following me," she asked before stretching her back with a yawn to boot.
[8:40 PM] Jax: It was… a cat?! The pink-haired woman watched as a cat landed onto a trash can. It made her sad because she really thought that she was onto something. Maybe she was just caught up in the moment.
She was just about to sink down towards the ground until it spoke. Her eyes began to widen. She never saw a domesticated animal speak before. The universe they lived in was weird so it wasn’t impossible.
“Uh…” she could only say at first, “Who are you working for, where is Monster Carrot!”
[9:04 PM] Erian: Monster Carrot? The cat sunk into thought as she tried to make sense of that. Then she remembered the bounty pictures. "Oh. That fool," she stated with a sigh. "I do not know where he would be. He looks like an idiot to me. Is that who you are looking for, hm?"
[9:16 PM] Jax: Oh, so they weren't working together. She honestly wasn't that surprised, but she was sorta hoping that she under covered something huge. Tracking down a bounty, that was a solid task. Getting a whole gang taken down, that would have helped made a name for herself.
"Yeah," she answered back, "I'm a Paladin whose trying to show the organization I have something to offer. I've already let them down once in combat."
[9:18 PM] Erian: "In combat," the cat stated with interest. Her ears twitched. "Are you saying you lack the discipline of battle?" Now she had the cat's attention. When it came to fighting, Puar was always interested.
[9:23 PM] Jax: "A little bit," she responded, "You see I've had two people train me. My father and one of his friends. My father isn't trained and just goes around swinging because he has the power to swing it, but his friend taught me to make every action count."
She started to feel weird about talking about her issues with an animal. A talking cat most likely had bigger issues than to deal with hers.
"Both haven't been around me lately so it's like I'm forgetting what to do, or how to do it, or what should I do because both are different."
[9:26 PM] Erian: "I see," she stated and then curled up some with her eyes simmering to a close. "Do you wish for a master to guide you then?"
[9:32 PM] Jax: "Yes," she said eagerly, standing up with a determined look on her face, "I'm out of practice and the only people I have are people my dad knows. I want to be my own person instead!"
[9:35 PM] Erian: "Then I suppose I could grant your wish then," she stated once again and she stretched out of her curl up and there was a massive poof of white smoke with a comical spring like noise echoing in the backdrop. Once the white smoke cleared there stood a 5'8 blur furred humanoid cat woman with the same golden eyes. "I am Puar, and I have mastered 3 forms of combat. I do not mind sharing my knowledge."
[9:40 PM] Jax: The cat started to stretch and then smoke followed it. Once that cleared out of the way a person emerged from it. Kari's eyes began to widen at the reveal, to think that the cat was actually indeed a person or had human-like qualities.
"You, what?" she said, baffled, "What are you, who are you? Duh you just answered that. Does that mean I can also become a cat if I learn your combat?"
[9:51 PM] Erian: Puar chuckled. "I could attempt to teach you that too if you like. I used to be a teacher at the Shapeshifting Academy--" She closed her eyes when she thought about that Academy. It brought a sigh to her but she swallowed that painful memory. "But that is not what I would teach you. I can teach you three styles of combat. Tai Chi, Baji Quan, and Baguazhang."
[10:34 PM] Jax: “Baji Quan? Baguazhang?” she asked tilting her head.
These words were unfamiliar to her, but not because the Paladins made poor teachers. It was unfamiliar to her because she was selective of the people she listened to.
“I’d be happy to learn,” she said, “I’m Kari, the Paladin with no merits.”
[11:27 PM] Erian: Puar nodded. "Well then Kari, I shall take you to my....Well I do not have a Dojo, but I do have a place to practice." Puar sighed thinking about how she lacked a dojo for now. "It is better than this alley anyway. I would say, after you are done with your mission, the Carrot Monster or whatever, you should come to Kelioux. That is where I live."
[11:31 PM] Jax: “Ooooh,” she expressed great interest in what Puar was selling, “Wait Kelioux, I know where that is. My friend goes there a lot. We fought there but it was clear that she was better than me.”
