Mona’s feet sloshed through the puddle filled plains of Toffit. This place must have been some sort of battleground in the past because there were chunks of metal strewn about and craters with a very ominous vibe about them. The magician had finally tracked down someone she had been searching for for a couple weeks now. He supposedly went by the name of Chaos and he was a bad guy, per Joseph’s description. So, Mona was here to administer the penalty for being bad. “Halt evil doer!” Mona shouted from about 25 meters away. “You are accused of being evil! The fine for that is very heft! Now pay up or fight me!” She assumed he wouldn’t be paying because if he was willing to do that he would’ve done that already. Mona then ran at Chaos and tried to bust out some of her moves that she learned in the time chamber. She tried shoulder checking his torso and then would fall forwards onto her hands. From that position she would start windmilling, hoping to hit Chaos with her legs once, twice. She would have liked to keep the windmill going but she really didn’t like the mud getting all over her hands so she stopped, crouched low, and went for a double fisted uppercut. Mona would then try to clutch Chaos’s shirt/armor/whatever and pull him in close so he couldn’t escape her endless physical barrage! Deep in the marshes of Toffit, one of the few places on the divine world not bustling with vibrance and energy. Only the faint sound of eldritch birds cawing broke the otherwise absolute silence. Nothing dared move in this place, nothing dared make a sound. Such silence was reserved for the most menacing of presences in nature. Here in the dark and damp landscape surrounded by craters loomed just such a figure staring motionlessly at the ruined land.
A lifeless wolf's head and pelt covered the man's shoulders and hid his face behind pools of shadow. It was nice here, peaceful. He liked the silence, the loneliness. Despite being quite literally in the middle of enemy territory he had managed to keep his presence hidden. His enemies were too arrogant to check their own back yard making it an ideal place to lay low and just....think.
Weeks of silence and respite were shattered by a female voice and the wolf skin pelt shuddered.
He hadn't heard anything beyond the steady beat of his heart and the sudden intrusion was surprisngly jarring. The wolf's head tilted towards the voice. How had this person managed to track him down? Were they actually aware of who he was or were they mistaking him for somebody else?
A cursory inspection of the intruder's Ki told him that the individual was quiet powerful. This too came as a surprise considering the lack of tactical prowess she had already demonstrated. He had been so lost in thought, so convinced nobody would find him, she easily could have got the drop on him and possibly detained him without a fight.
Instead, she opted to give the hero speech before throwing a single punch. Chaos turned to face her but kept the shroud covering his face, annoyed that he was found by somebody like that.
Glowing red eyes quietly smoldered within the dark shadows of his cowl as a premonition flashed through his mind. Before she had taken her first step towards him Chaos had shifted his weight to his left in preperation letting him effortlessly side-step her attempt at a take down.
To his surprise, she caught herself in a handstand and executed a couple of whirling kicks that connected with his theighs.
She flowed from one attack to the next with impressive grace, springing up with a double fisted upper cut that connected square with his chin and snapped his head back. The wolf head flipped back from the sudden jerk, finally revealing the twisted visage of the fallen emperor.
The only thing that kept him from being knocked onto his back from the force was his opponent grabbing his cloak and pulling him close.
He fumbled to get his feet back underneath him, right hand darted under his cloak and with a metallic hiss he brought his dark blade across her extended arm with a lightening fast draw-slash.
Assuming the hit or the threat of it would get her to release her grip he wrenched his sword back across in an upward diagonal strike from hip to shoulder.
The black blade blurred through the strike as the momentum from one attack took him into the next as he spun around building enough momentum to cleave his opponent in half. His feet danced over the muddy ground, keeping his balance as he continued to press the attack.
His sword whistled through the air as he swiped it at her knees in an attempt to disable her so he could end this quickly and return to the peace of nothingness.
There was no reprieve from his assault, the pressure of each strike building upon the last; she wanted to be up close and she was going to get it. He rushed her, chopping at her torso from the left and right before flipping the blade over in his hand, sliding his right foot up against the midline of her body, and punctuating his attack with a backhanded thrust.

Mona was a little confused as to why this guy wasn’t fighting back. “Is he just toying with me? Is he just showing me how much he can take and none of it matters because I’m so inferior? Or maybe I just took him by that much surprise?” She supposed only time would tell. For the time being though, she couldn’t show any mercy. Having pulled Chaos close to her she expected to be able to unleash a flurry of blows. Things quickly stopped going her way as soon as Chaos snapped into action. Sword slash after sword slash ruined her momentum. While the slashes were incredibly painful they didn’t cause her to bleed very much. The cuts were shallow which told Mona that they were probably around the same ballpark when it came to physical prowess. At the end Mona staggered and stepped back a few times. She narrowed her brow and looked up into Chaos’s eyes and roared while drawing her own sword. Mona was notably less proficient with her own sword strikes. She attacked like a madman by raising the sword behind her shoulder and then swinging it like it was a bladed baseball bat. She did this same motion while aiming at her enemy’s torso. She then tried shoving her sword forwards in a thrust aimed for his stomach. She would then step to the side and do a 360 degree spin with her sword held out in an attempt to cut the man one more time across his torso. To finish things off she stepped forwards to try grappling the evil man once more. Chaos was impressed with his assailant's toughness, if nothing else. She weathered the onslaught of strikes but remained steadfast, even managing to come out the otherside of the storm and unleash her own unorthodox barrage of sword strikes.
The cloak torn at each successful strike but hidden from her view beneath his armor absorbed the brunt of her blows. He grimaced, feet sliding back in slight retreat but a wild spinning slash cleaved the lower half of his cowel and slammed painfully into his armored ribcage.
As she stepped in to close the distance yet again Chaos' expression changed from pain to excitement. From beneath the tattered cloak his left hand ripped out another sword in a attempted surprise slash across her midsection.
He whirled around with both blades, slashing high and low in a seemingly random alternating fashion, spinning twice and springing into a double thrust aimed for each of her breasts.

Unlike Chaos, Mona didn’t have the luxury of having armor to absorb the endless barrage of slashes. She started to notice that she wasn’t even making it to his skin, as far as she could tell which meant she needed to increase her power if she was going to cause any real damage. What was more, Chaos was able to counter attack with some surprisingly vicious stabs and slashes. Her abdomen actually tore open a little this time and her small breasts were slightly punctured by the man’s weapon. She couldn’t help but grit her teeth and hiss. “I’ll get through that armor!” she shouted at him without losing her spirit. She lunged to Chaos’s side while bringing her sword over her shoulder again. She slashed at him as she passed then jumped back to perform an identical slash to his other side. She wasn’t done with her dizzying assault just yet. She kept speeding around Chaos and slashing at him faster than even she could keep track of. She just focused on Chaos’s ki signature and went wild trying to hit his form as hard as she could. When she tired of that she blasted up into the sky and came down like a mortar with her elbow aimed right at Chaos’ torso. She intended to smash it right into the ground all for the sake of trying to weaken his defenses. Despite several successful strikes his opponent appeared undeterred, returning fire with a wild overhand chop. He brought his left forearm up and narrowly intercepted the strike, multicolored sparks erupted from the immense force.
Another air-splitting slash came, too fast to avoid, so Chaos replaced his armored forearm with his black blade, redirecting enough of the blow that it carved into metal instead flesh.
Her pace quickened and her blade blurred through a furious combination of seemingly random stabs and slashes. Ironically, being the superior swordsman was causing him to overthink her attacks, so while he worked both his swords in a defensive curtain he caught himself defending 'ghosts'-- non existent attacks he would normally expect from a skilled sword user.
Instead he found himself retreating beneath the chaotic assault. Though he managed to mitigate much of the damage he was out of practice and it began to show in his quickened breathing.
Luckily, his opponent would make another critical mistake by altering her assault and giving Chaos a microsecond of reprieve. His glowing red eyes followed her figure into the dark sky, legs already tensed to spring away. She came crashing to the world with all the force of a warhead, he leapt up and away from her straight trajectory.
He avoided the direct hit but a booming shockwave rocked the air and flung the airborne Emperor into a thicket of trees. He slammed his blades into a tree to arrest his momentum before flipping to the ground without disturbing even a mote of dust.
Veiled by the shadows of the tree line he had been tossed into Chaos took a few steps out of the darkness, blade tips dragging twin trenches in the dirt at his sides. The ragged cloak was now stained with fresh splotches of blood, both his and his enemy's, the frayed edges were singed, stray strands still glowing with embers here and there.
Wooden sandals squelched in the mud as he slid his feet into a balanced position and brought his swords up in an X in front of him. His chest expanded against the dented armor as he inhaled deep before a yellow-white wall flames burst forth and split against his extended swords to form a pair of firey napalm-esque bubbles hurtling at her from different angles.

“Damn,” Mona thought as her attempt to smash right through her foe’s armor had been thwarted. It wasn’t for nothing though. As she stood there panting and leaning against her sword which she’d dug into the ground, Mona noticed that Chaos’s armor had been dented considerably. That had to mean that she’d caused at least some measurable amount of damage. It’d taken her a few moments to actually spot him though and by that point she hardly had a chance to properly react to the flaming bubbles headed her way. “Ugh!” she shouted as she withdrew her sword and started to run but there was nowhere to run to! It was all fire. Not just any ol’ fire either, the bubbles exploded into flames which spread and persisted which sucked ass because Mona had to run her ass right at Chaos and out of the area of effect which burned her legs like hell. The pain built up which caused the transplanted saiyan DNA within her to flicker to life and cause her to transform into her final form. As Mona closed in on Chaos she held her fingers in front of her face and charged ki into them. She released the ki and shut her eyes for a moment when she was only a few meters away to hopefully blind him for a while. Without missing a beat she pulled out a small shard of sunstone that glistened in the sunlight. As she closed in even closer she held the shard between her palms and instantly fired a massive ball of blue ki at the evil doer at a dangerously close range. Free) Take Tactical. The stench of burning flesh and hair filled his nostrils telling him his last attack had been at least somewhat successful. The tenacious woman remained unfazed, rather than turning away she rushed Chaos with a blinding eruption of distinctly Saiyan power.
Chaos growled, unable to see through the blinding curtain of golden light, but he could easily feel the immense power now radiating from the woman in thick sheets. Warrior instincts alone allowed him to fumble for the device tucked behind his cloak and flick it on. The device sprung open in an instant at the surge of foreign energy and created an unstable quantum field in its path, funneling every ounce of the world ending power harmlessly into its resevoir.
He let out a sigh, realizing he had been holding his breath. Too many times he had been on the receiving end of a blinding attack and every time came with the potential of a quick death. Yet again his opponent's inexperience played a pivital roll.
He stashed the energy absorbing device back beneath his cloak and was immediately gifted the stolen energy. Gold and indigo flames flowed along his body like water more than fire as her own energy joined his reserves.
His vision was rendered little more than a field of white with black and blue stars popping in and out of view like fireworks. He shook his head to clear his vision but found it did little. Even his enhanced healing never offered much when it came to the delicate optical organs and few things reminded him more of his own mortality.
Understanding the situation and the still very-real threat to his life he wasted no time conjuring a portal above the woman's energy signature. From the red reality ripple a debilitating blast of concussive force pounded down at her like the first horn of the apocalypse, entirely concentrated on her lithe form.
With the expectation that the surprising sensory assault would stun her momentarily, Chaos found himself still too blinded to take advantage. Despite his desire to take the fight to his opponent he had suffered this exact situation too many times to make a fatal mistake by being headstrong. Instead, he needed to prepare and erect defenses until his eyes cleared.
Chaos muttered a nearly silent incantation to the winds that blew between the two warriors. Although it would be impossible to see with the naked eye, eldritch energy disturbances began to coalesce behind him and took on the shape of six hyper-dimensional spheres rotating silently like a pack of sharks behind his back. She wouldn't be able to see them and if she made the mistake of not assessing the situation and rushed him thinking he's defenseless she would become painfully aware of the orbs' existence.

Mona couldn’t believe her eyes as the energy ball she’d used somehow had gotten absorbed which was an incredulous thought to say the least. She’d put so much energy into that thing and used her most powerful relic! Imagine her surprise when a massive force appeared out of seemingly nowhere and forced her into the ground. Her body skid across the dirt until it ultimately came to a sudden stop against the face of a broken space ship. She didn’t see Chaos preparing his spheres nor would she even be aware of their presence. All she knew was that she needed to turn her effort up to eleven! “At last, a worthy challenge!” Mona shouted confidently as she stood and pointed at Madara. At least she now knew that he was capable of some freaky extradimensional shit. So was she, in some ways. Mona sprang forwards and fired off a half dozen ki blasts at Chaos in a quick flurry. She fired them in a volley that she hoped would be hard to dodge as she focused more ki into her hands. When she got within a few meters again she began leaping, somersaulting, and cartwheeling around Chaos. With every new acrobatic move she fired off much more powerful blasts at him hoping that she would be able to cut off any escape route and finally pin a big attack on him. With his vision rapidly recovering he was able to follow her movements, though it was far from a perfect clear picture yet. Still, it was enough to work his blades through a tight defensive pattern that split and deflected the weak Ki bolts she unleashed.
Even with less-than-perfect vision it was near effortless for a seasoned warrior like Chaos to bat aside such an uninspired straight-on assault. More signs of inexperience from his headstrong opponent.
But when her movements played to her nature, becoming seemingly random and sporadic, he found it hard to track or make reasonable predictions. She flipped into his peripheral and he sensed a swell of power emanating from her, alarms blaring in his mind, screaming for him to move!
Her sudden erradic movements coupled with the immense speed she now possessed made dodging all but impossible. In that split second he decided his best course of actions was to fortify his position take the assault head-on. He chanted a simple defensive incantation while simultaneously slapping aside the blasts he could catch, hoping whatever made it past his blades would be dampened by the spell.
A few blasts slammed into him despite his best efforts and he felt the air forcefully eject from his lungs. He was pinballed by the varying angles and narrowly kept his feet under him.
Without wasting a moment to catch his breath Chaos focused on the blinding attack he had fallen victim to earlier, copying the exact technique. Although he wasn't proficient with it, after 'seeing' it done dozens of times he knew how to make it work. His ki amplified the photons that passed through it a thousand fold until a blinding ultraviolet flash washed over the battlefield.
As the eerie light subsided shadows returned to the landscape but the darkness at Chaos' feet flowed like smoke from the ground to his swords and covered the blades. With his vision improving with each passing second his keen eyes could once again follow her movements.
His eyes narrowed on her, picking a few tantalizing targets before he legs propelled him into a earth splitting dash. He was on her already, swords working in perfect harmony, one darting in to attack and the other responding to cut off any attempts at defense. Darkness flung from the edge of his blades with each violent strike either colliding with her armorless body or exploding in the distance and lighting up the horizon.
He flipped the crimson blade into an underhanded grip and stabbed it into the ground, took aim with his free hand and fired off a series of precise blasts at her face. Though those blasts would do damage on their own, they were intended to distract and further impede her vision, making it difficult for her to see that another fire bubble was coming on their heels.

“Haha yeah! Take that! Whoohoo!” Mona shouted as she’d danced around and hit Chaos squarely with her strongest blast attacks. However nothing ever quite worked out for this mage. Just as she was about to pull out her biggest guns yet she was blinded by her very own technique! Well, everyone seemed to know solar flare so maybe she couldn’t call it hers but it still hurt! Her retinas screamed in pain but she couldn’t relax because she felt Chaos’ ki signature closing in on her. “You copying my sword attack too? You bastard!” she shouted, because she wouldn’t be able to see that Chaos’s version was darkness based. She bitterly held out her sword in a defensive pose and did her best to intercept the slashes as they came. It wasn’t as easy as she might have hoped because there were simply so many of them. Some of them were so fast that she had to speed teleport just to get her sword in position! Even with enhanced speed it was basically impossible to block everything. Some slashes got through on her legs and arms which wore Mona down considerably. At long last the slashes stopped and Chaos let loose his follow up attacks. It was kind of a moot point to try hiding attacks because she couldn’t see to begin with. She relied on her ears to tell her something else was inbound and utilized her blade’s ability to automatically shield her from basic attacks. A golden sphere of shielding light engulfed Mona as Chaos’s attacks got closer. “I don’t suppose you’ve ever met my pet jellyfish have you?” Mona asked Chaos when the debris cleared. She clapped her hands and made a slashing motion through the air which literally tore the fabric of space and time. From the void emerged a massive jellyfish that would try whacking Chaos with its toxic tentacles before receding back through the shimmering portal. While the jellyfish was doing its work Mona took the classic Kamehameha pose so that by the time her pet left she would have her palms pointed outwards right at Chaos. “Ten Times Kamehameha!” she’d shout as a massive beam of dark red energy tore through the air and earth right towards her foe. Mona’s vision blurred again right after she fired her beam so she wouldn’t be aware of whether it actually connected or not. It had been a pretty girthy beam and it threw up so much dirt into the air that it was basically impossible to see anything really. All she could do was keep a note of where his ki signature was and just keep firing off attacks because she had to wrap up this battle sooner or later. The problem was that her eyes just didn’t want to work so she just stood there like an idiot charging up her power for a good minute like some kind of dumbass. She was surprised that nobody sliced her in half with a keinzan or something during the process. “Hey are you still alive over there?” Mona called out through the debris. She pointed a finger out and fired off some beams over at where she sensed Chaos was and hoped that they would prod him awake or something. The beams were fired off one after another in a rapid burst fire manner but they would probably be pretty easy to deflect or dodge seeing as though the two combatants were pretty far away from each other at this point. Roleplay Report: Mona: I want to start off by mentioning the fact that your RPs have improved since you were Hinata. However, there are some clear issues still that may create an atmosphere that makes it difficult to read at times. For instance;
Breaking this down from the beginning. It started off fine, albeit a little lacking in imagery and vocabulary, but the structure was there. However, once you started the second sentence it continued on for far too long. In my personal opinion it should have ended with "persisted" and omitted most of what followed. I think there is a lot you can do to improve this small piece above, but the biggest thing for me is the structure from that second line. It withdrew me from the actual RP itself. As a reader I want to be involved in the writing, I want to cling to what is happening. Now, none of us are pros by any means, but I feel the words you use is pulling me out as a reader.
I've notice that this is the biggest flaw so far while reading your writing in this battle. You will drag on sentences a bit too much and use what I like to call "plain speech" in place of adjectives or adverbs that may further your RPs to the next level. While most of the examples I can point to of "plain speech" take away from your writing, in my opinion, there is one that I actually enjoyed.
This is taken from your second post, and actually I really enjoyed the how you displayed Mona's character. The reason "some freaky extradimensional shit" isn't harmful to the RP is, I feel, that for the first time it was a extension of your character in one of her reactions. I think things like this are still better placed in inner thoughts, but that is again, just me. However, the reason I picked this sentence out is also because of one thing. Who is Madara? As of your first post, you know Chaos' name, his description, and other details from Joe. So why do you refer to him as Madara, obvious this is a typo cause of his face claim, but still. Big no no. Chaos: After typing everything I can for Mona to help improve his RPs I wanted to spend some time with yours as well. Firstly, the effort, syntax, and imagery is there. You maintain very clear and easy to read posts that forces me to want to read more. While your grammar isn't perfect, there aren't enough flaws to mention or that would break me from my emergence. One thing I would like to see from you a bit more is the setting itself. You bring it up when it is relevant for actions, but I feel like you can include it more into the story itself. This leads me to one thing that I want to talk about with the both of you. While there are aspects here, I really would love for there to be more story included. Things that drive your character, reasoning behind their attacks or movements, things that make the characters feel more relatable and alive. I know this is pretty nitpicky, but it is my favorite thing to have in battles. In all my life conflict has always created some form of growth or development in my life. In future conflicts I know I will pull from previous conflicts, so I feel like this can be that hint of realism that is missing from the writing. I know the focus is on the battle itself, but just a hint or tiny bit here or there would make a world's difference in the overall story and writing itself. Winner: Chaos

Chaos never saw the thick wave of Ki until it was too late, washed over his defenseless form like a shadow vanishing against a spotlight. He heard it tear apart the world around and behind him, going for countless miles carving out a lopsided halfpipe through the planet.
After an eternity-- or was was it just a few seconds? Chaos was never great with time-- his senses returned enough that he could pull himself from the humanoid crater he found himself in. He stumbled to his feet and located his beloved swords a few inches away.
He wiped a warm trickle of blood from his chin as he bent down to retrieve his weapons. His eyes widened, a thin Ki beam poked a hole through the curtain of smoke, he gripped the hilt of the closest sword and batted the attack aside.
Another beam came but was easily dispatched with the enlarged hand covering on his sword acting as a simple shield. The Ki slammed against it with a high pitched ping before being flung aside harmlessly.
He sensed another coming and took aim with his empty hand. Just as the last beam came into his view Chaos fired back, but his Ki took on a strange configuration like a glowing fishnet, overtook her attack and carried down the length of the beam to ensnare her.
Finally he was able to kneel down and retrieve the other blade. Rising to his full height he didn't move for a moment, taking measure of his opponent and the lay of the battlefield. A gentle breeze cleansed the air of smoke revealing her a hundred yards away. The wind tugged on his long hair and ruined cloak, but beyond that he was statue-still, eyes burning with a new anger for the woman.
With a sudden burst he hurled himself at his opponent. Quick as thought Chaos was upon her, swinging a back-handed pommel strike at the side of her head. His other blade came across in a similar angle but much lower to slash from shoulder to opposite hip. He followed the momentum of the downstroke into a spin, other blade extended to slice her un-armored back if he got behind her.
The swords slid across each-other eliciting a metallic hiss as he took up a unique stance, perfectly balanced while picking out his targets. He licked his bloodied lips, and struck. The red and black blades darted at her seemingly from all directions at once. The swords were intent for vital tendons and organs, one following the other as a means to cut off escape; if one went to stab her thigh and she dodged she would have to contend with the other sword attacking the other leg, or lung, or artery.
