The Unfinished Finals! (Emi (W) vs Towa (L)) [Ref: Ami]

She had so many things to do.

Towa was still working with the scholars to advance her own standing within that organization, but the work she had been doing was slow. The organization seemed slow since they wanted teamwork to be a main thing and to work with others. It took away one of the greatest assets that the demon goddess had at her disposal; her charisma. She felt she could manipulate most to do as she wanted, but not if she had to work with others. It would ultimately slow down her ascension even if it was probably for the better in her overall mission. The more allies she had the better.

As she traveled through the academy, she saw the gear she had worn during the exhibition tournament being worked on by scientists for advancements. It was such a nice set of battle equipment to wear, but it wasn’t yet available to her. She was going to have to wait for the final version to come out. It was as she was about to head to the library though that she received a message.



The letter made the time traveler smile. One of the primary reasons she had gone to the Crater City event was to meet up with other warriors. One in particular was the demon cyborg Emi.

Emi was one of the few people during Mira’s first mission with the Shadowguard that garnered his attention. The bodyguard for the demon goddess said she was an individual to watch and learn more about. Towa wanted to see this power that impressed Mira so much in person. The tournament would have been the right place for that, but ultimately the finals between the two of them had been canceled due to a shattering of her hourglass.

With that problem handled they were all sent away and the finals never really happened. It appeared the demon cyborg wanted to correct that incident. That or she just wanted a fight.

Towa wasn’t much of a fighter herself, but a warrior that caught the attention of Mira and her own during the tournament was one that she had to see firsthand. Was it risky to go there without Mira; probably, but she had to see this Emi in action without restraints for herself. The best way to do that was to battle her one on one.

The travel to Arlia didn’t take long. She made her way to the Arena and Emi was standing happy in the middle of the arena waving to someone in the crowd. No one seemed to want to stand against the mighty Cyborg and honestly who could have blamed them. She had an enormous power; especially compared to the weakling bug people of Arlia.

Towa walked into the center of the arena with Emi and as she did the mood in the arena changed. People had come for a simple day of entertainment, but seeing Towa stand up to such a massively powerful being such as Emi changed everything.

The dark clouds in the red Arlian sky shifted slightly as well. Maybe the planet was even concerned as to what could happen if these two truly went full out, but it seemed interested in what was about to happen as well.

Emi greeted her first as Time Lady and then changed it up to a much more respectful Miss Towa. She then asked a simple question, was Towa ready?

Towa went to reply, ”I actually believe if I am to give you a proper fight I will…”

Well she didn’t have time to finish as Emi immediately followed with as statement that she would start and as she did the gong sounded and the match started.

Well at the start it wasn’t much of a match at all. Towa had wanted to transform to properly match Emi in power, but the cyborg was impulsive as Mira had said before and before she knew it, she was being nailed with a powerful kick to her head and then stomp at her neck as the lightning-fast girl struck faster than Towa could even see.

Mira had said she was fast, but he claimed at the time he was able to be close to matching her. Towa knew the speed she had just seen, Mira wasn’t capable of matching at the time of Kanassa. Towa was rocked right away, but her scouter began to beep the girl was behind her. Without hesitation she spun as fast as she could, the scouter guiding her path as she threw a strong uppercut towards the body of the girl to avoid the first series of strikes.

It was a one off though. Before she even knew what was happening the girl and what appeared to be her 8 arms smashed her with an amazing combination of strong punches, sending the demon goddess reeling. Towa naturally took flight as the merciless onslaught came at her, but this time she took a deep breath. The pain would be great, but she would handle it her own way.

Suddenly a burst of flames erupted around her. It appeared to be a shield, but it provided no protection. All it did was lash out at the demonic cyborg as her next flurry of blows sent Towa away once more.

By the pain and locations radiating around her body she estimated she had been hit around 24 times in what felt like 6 seconds. She quickly had to shake it off though.

Mira said two things. She was impulsive, but also had an explosive personality. Towa had seen it during the Crater City event and she felt that power once more growing.

Gripping her hands tightly she pulled them to the side and the scientist garb vanished. A dark bolt of lightning flared up around the demon goddess as she unleashed her full power for the moment. Her hair grew tremendously, growing spikes on the ends as if she was a Super Saiyan herself, but as the red markings came across her face, the true power of Towa was revealed. She felt more capable of standing up to Emi, but knew danger was pending.

Just as her own transformation stopped the entire arena erupted in a blast of raw power. Towa didn’t have many options against such and attack and went with the traditional guard. Raising both arms up before herself, crossing them to guard against the massive power that had been unleashed.

Even in her form, she was not going to be able to take many blows like that. Her body felt it down to her very core. This was the type of attack that could end many battles, but for now Towa only felt alive. The pain of a battle like this wasn’t really for her, but she understood the rush of combat. Her work as a master in this version of her plan had started to form that within the time traveling demon. This was exactly the type of fight she would watch Mira in so many times before, but this time it was her chance to see what she was truly capable of doing.

”I wanted to properly challenge you.” A strange energy began to swirl around Towa as she said this. The flow of her power forming an incomplete infinity sign almost, ”Sorry for the wait.”

The power she had gathered suddenly causes her fist to grow massively and she smashed it downwards, the dark time energy flowing around it as she looked to retaliate against the girl with a powerful attack just as she had to deal with before and crush her under the weight of time and her fueled fist.

Connection or not, the release of power from the strike would light up the entire arena for a brief moment. She needed a chance to deal with the girl’s explosive ways and she only knew one way to change the course of the battle right way. She took the light from the release of the time energy she had created as a source on a gloomy world such as Arlia.

”SOLAR FLARE!” She would yell, pulling her hands up towards her eyes as she tried to keep the vision of the girl hindered for at least a little while.

Moving slightly to change her location, she moved into a fighting stance. She would need to be aggressive to keep this girl on the defense for as long as possible if she wanted to win or at least provide a proper test for Emi and a show for the audience.

Maybe it wasn’t a surprise that the little girl took the first chance she had to use her speed to avoid the first big attack Towa had used. The demon goddess still was slightly annoyed by it, even though she also knew the girl had even put some effort into it to avoid the massive time infused fist.

The demonic cyborg had avoided the fist though only to run directly into the bright lights of the solar flare. She hoped that that would keep her delayed for a moment. Still as the light blinded her she called for help and suddenly an attack droid popped out.

Towa took that moment to her advantage. Flicking the earring she wore the dark hourglass that loamed during the Crater City event was back. Emi likely had seen it before and knew what was coming, but it was still a toy that the time traveler enjoyed using. Considering no realm altering things were going on here, it would be much safer than it was during that tournament.

As Towa was admiring her own handiwork with the hourglass, she seemed to just that quickly forget about the attack droid that fired off two rather basic blasts that crashed right into her.

Bouncing back slightly from the blasts; the demon goddess quickly felt the surge of power once again from her opponent. Not wanting to be caught again like she was before she charged her own power. It was as her eyes saw what was happening that she realized this was a familiar technique, the dragon dive. Copying the motions of the girl, even if much slower; Towa darted right at Emi looking to crash her own version of the technique into the one that her opponent was using.

The shockwave of power from two forces like this colliding left a rip even through the Arlian arena and the ground itself. A place designed for such things was even struggling against their combined might. Still the problem was the Emi was too fast and as Towa felt the effort from her attempted stopping of Emi’s attack, she was met with another ki infused punch to the face. It stumbled the scholar back a few steps, but Emi was still not done. She was behind her now, trying to grab onto her for some reason.

”I’m ok without a hug.”

Towa did not have time for that and twisted quickly, throwing a direct punch into the body of the little girl that looked to be almost coming in for a hug. Maybe it was mean, but close quarters speed matchup with this opponent seemed like a foolish decision to make.

As the counter was launched, Towa was already thinking about what to do next. Spinning around quickly she brought the left hand down masterfully aiming at the side of the girls neck to keep her away and hopefully keep some distance for at least a little while.

She flew up again, trying to keep some distance to keep the girls movements visible, but as she did Towa dropped two balls of energy. They were weak energy attacks, but they had designs of the first one hitting Emi and the second blowing up the droid before its little prickly attacks became more of a problem. It was still a matter of needing to keep the girl from using her full speed. In this form, Emi could at least stand up to the Damaskian Demonic Cyborg, but she knew that also put her on the clock if all she was doing was keeping up with her. If Emi eventually would go full out, then she knew she would be in great danger.

The girl had found a way to deal with the counter strike that Towa had launched. Shocks of electricity flowed over her without any chance at all of being defended against.

The loaming hourglass of time continued its flow of dark energy. It likely appeared to onlookers as if it was simply the black clouds of Arlia forming in a strange way, but Emi had seen it before during the Crater City event and would have now felt the sting of time push on her for a second time.

Even with that loaming dark cloud over the battlefield, Towa was not given any reprieve at all from the relentless assault that the demonic cyborg had to offer. She wasn’t going to be able to deal with the Robotics Division warrior’s tremendous speed, but she had watched something like this before. The prince had used it in an alternate timeline against the assassin Hit and Gohan had used it against the feint fighter from Universe 10.

Guarding herself she moved her arms down to block the first energy infused punch from the girl, but as the strike pushed her back, it gave Towa a slight opening from retaliation. She launched herself back towards Emi looking to connect with a ki infused punch of her own as she looked almost like a superhero flying through the air and trying to strike the chin of the girl with the blow.

Emi though wasn’t the type to be rattled by such an attack. It might have hurt her if it connected, but it seemed as if the demonic cyborg little girl was programmed solely to destroy against all odds. She would strike once again with the same style of punch, but this time she went high. Towa pulled her guard up this time, protecting her head with her arms to keep the girl from punching her head off with the amount of force she seemed to be trying to put behind her blows. The block was the first part, but Towa extended her right hand, flicking the forehead of the girl with a skill that only the gods would truly be trying to use.

Maybe she was trying to get in the girls head? It was hard to tell, but such a strike would have been insulting to most. It was hard to tell how Emi would take it right away.

The cyborg flew around, freely and naturally in the air and then rushed towards Towa once again. This time she opened her mouth. Without hesitation and not wanting to see what was coming next Towa pressed a button on her wrist causing a barrier of energy to form around her to deal with the first attack. Then another electrical jolt came towards the arms of the demon goddess. She had confidence in the barrier to protect her from such a technique, but still it was unique. Probably something she would have to store for learning herself later.

It was lucky that she had pressed the scouter to record the technique though as the girl had formed one of her bombs. Towa went to guard, but as she was paying attention to her scouter it let her know what was going on. She was actually safe from this one. The sunglasses mixed with a scouter device suddenly generated a strong gust of wind that dissipated the smoke before it became an issue.

Towa did like where the girls head was at though. Pushing her hand out she seemed to almost reform the ball that Emi had used and throw her own version of the bomb down at the girls feet, hoping to let her experience whatever it was that she was trying to get the scholar to suffer from.

Without much more hesitation, Towa opened her mouth, but instead of words, a burst of scorching flames came forth, looking to keep the cyborg off balance for a little longer. Towa was always planning for something. Whether the blast of fire completely consumed the girl or whatever she did against it, Towa flicked her hands causing more flames to swarm around her target. She just hoped she would get a chance to actually use it.

She had survived.

It was something that would normally make an opponent angry, but Towa had a much different reaction; she smiled. It had nothing to do with the thrill of battle though. Emi had not only proven her durability, but she had also finally showed what Towa had believed to be her true power. It was impressive indeed. Likely on the level of raw power of what Mira was in his regular form, but still with the amazing speed that even her greatest creation couldn’t hope to match. This was a being that was certainly worthy of her time and attention.

The problem with all this was that Emi’s power seemed to be almost out of control and yet somehow also completely controlled. This demonic cyborg was certainly worth her time and effort. She vanished and it was only a brief notice from her senses that she was in danger that she had after the Shadowguard unit had appeared and was ready to put Towa out of her misery with a single strike.

The demon goddess had little option at this point, but to quickly move her hands to her head and teleport herself next to the Arlian King who at this point had passed out from the excitement that the battle had created in the arena. As Towa went to get back into the fight though she noticed everyone had stopped. Something had filled the air that had kept Towa from moving and had seemingly taken out the entire crowd as well. Just what kind of power was this that she had used? It almost felt like something from the Shadowguard, but it was something that Towa had no answer for.

As she felt her senses coming back, she knew the end was likely near and she still had one thing that was important to her. She tapped her scouter, saving the technique she had seen earlier into the devices databanks to put her opponent’s unique technique into her own arsenal.

She then looked at Emi as she flew in the dark Arlian sky, ”I am glad I have seen what you are capable of doing. I am truly impressed. How about we have ourselves a little fireworks show before we end this?”

As she spoke her right hand moved to her hair, flicking her hair around, but also tapping part of the time band she wore and allowing a surge or power to overtake her as well. Cupping her hands to side she muttered the words of the annoying Saiyan hero and turtle hermit; but with a yellow glow overcoming her, the attack seemed to be fueled more than normal. Thrusting her hands forward she released her most powerful KAMEHAMEHA. She figured the girl would have a more than capable answer to this, but she still wanted to see just what the explosive cyborg would do next!
