Discarded ideas littered across the scattered pages on the floor of the spaceship. En route to the mangled corpse of the planet Konec, there was little to do except ponder. Well, perhaps that was not quite accurate. There was plenty to do, Juch just didn't want to do it. Like picking up the papers for example.
Leaning against the wall, he pinched his nose bridge and sighed. He knew it. He was losing con-control. Control. Con-Con-Con-Con....
...
He looked up. Hm, an unfamiliar, yet a familiar sight. The astral realm beckons him once more; either that, or he has an unhealthy obsession with the place. Still, a change of place, a change of pace. Hm, hm. Abstract. Geometrical anomalies. Straight and narrow, wide and obtuse. Twisting and turning as they flew by in the background, but not violently, not belligerently. They were just...there. And he was just there. Observing.
Juch heaved a sigh and, with the support of his cane, sat down on the pixelated ground. He needed to clear his mind a bit.
Shell Mira Towa — 09/14/2022
Mira had spent very little time trying to meet others in this timeline. He didn't care that much about it. The social part of things belonged to Towa, but he also knew he was responsible for growing in his own experience while he was here. It would be maybe the only way he could full recover all of the damage to his core that Lord Beerus had done.
While Towa had lied about about transformation, he still knew he was much weaker than he should have been.
He decided to shift his mind to the Astral Realm. He knew people used it to meet up with others and figured it would be a good way for him to do so as well. Moments later he arrived in a strange place. Maybe this was a place of study?
That was when he saw a man with a cane sitting down on what looked like pixelated ground.
"Any idea what this place is?" Mira asked as he calmly walked towards the man, not sure if he would lash out in violence or simply talk. He was old looking so he figured he was a talker.
Juch — 09/14/2022
Art was not one of his forte; was that post modernism? Or cubism? Maybe something else altogether; regardless, appraisal and explanation of the objects zipping past in the distance was something that was out of his comfort zone. And perhaps one may say that it was good--nay, a necessary burden to be carried for those that wanted to 'improve', 'be learned', or to acquire 'an open mind'. That it was good to be uncomfortable. Take comfort, take solace in it.
Someone spoke to him. Another presence has graced this plane of existence for an indeterminate timeframe. Was it...%$^&? No, most certainly not. Juch had half a mind to just say nothing, but that half of mind was always rather irregular, irrational, and should never be listened to. Without changing his posture or glancing over to the new arrival, he answered, "Plenty of ideas; but ideas are cheap. I can offer you twelve nonsensical ideas over a span of a cup of tea-tea."
His voice crackled, like a voice tape on rewind for a brief moment. Glitch. Hiccup. Disregard. Continue. "Many would simply ask for a quick brawl by now. You don't seem to be one of those people. If I may be so candid, I don't know which I would prefer right now."
Shell Mira Towa — 09/14/2022
He was clearly a smarter man, or at least seemed to be a smart man. That was when Mira tried to sense into the man's power and realized it wasn't sensible. The double scouter picked up his power right after as a backup, but it showed this was an Android he was talking to.
"I'm not much of a tea drinker." Mira's voice was rather straight forward, "I will listen though if you have a theory."
Then the man asked about a brawl. Mira smirked, "I don't ask to brawl if I already know the outcome. If you wish to realize that, I am more than happy to show you."
Mira was always confident bordering cocky about his power, but while this android was strong, he wasn't strong enough.
Then Mira said the obvious, "I assume you already know I'm an android like you. If I'm guessing with your power you are related to the Scholars?"
Juch — 09/14/2022
A short, harsh laugh. It was quite funny, was it not? Already this was much more amusing than just being stuck in his own head for Kai knows how long. Juch waved his hand in dismissal at the stranger's counteroffer for a fight, "Look at me; I've long been past the age for pissing contests. Past my prime! And some of it by my own hand too."
His arm fell limp back to his side as he paused for a brief moment. With a sigh, he heaved himself back up from the ground, this time turning to face the other person, "Perhaps if I have a better theory, I will tell you," Juch smiled, "Though you don't have to guess about my affiliation with the Scholars."
A quick gesture to the pauldrons that covered the coat that draped over his shoulders was all he offered for explanation, but it should be enough: it was indicative of those who have risen up to High Magnate, "I suppose an introduction is in order then. Juch," he extended his hand for a handshake, "How may I address you, fellow android, hm?"
Shell Mira Towa — 09/14/2022
Mira listened at first to what the man had to say, but truly he was more interested in why he seemed so calm. He seemed rather intelligent, but still he questioned a great deal.
As this other android stood up he thought he saw something to indicate he was a higher ranked member of the scholars. It was hard to know for sure, but it did feel that way. Then he offered his name and a handshake. Mira's eyes narrowed for a moment.
"I am Mira; grand creation of an up and coming scholar named Towa and member of the Damaskian Robotics Division." Mira didn't need to mention the rest of his status. He had taken the seat of the God of Destruction in the Shadowguard, but that wasn't necessarily important.
He shook Juch's hand. A member of the Scholars was an ally for now no matter if he would end up being one or not.
Then he asked an obvious question, "Clearly you are smart and likely can detect my power and yet still you remain very calm and even suggested a fight for a moment. I need to know why?"
Juch — 09/14/2022
"Hoh?" Juch tilted his head towards the larger being. Damaskian Robotics Division was a name that had been highlighted in his notes that had been shoved into his lap before he even started to make the journey. The fact that Mira's creator was apparently within the same academic circles was also rather fascinating; however, such a name did not exist within his current database. A newly enrolled one, perhaps?
"It appears that the two of us had been more closely connected than I had originally surmised. It is said that everyone in the universe is separated by at most seven degrees; although now specifically with this handshake, I suppose it is simply one degree," it was with a small laugh that closed out the official ceremonial greeting, "Although I must also confess that I have yet to be updated on current affairs. Otherwise we may have already met sooner."
"While I do appreciate the compliment, but you think it odd that I may be so bold--or so foolish, given the discrepancy between us, yes?" Juch spoke with good humor, his smile widening even more, "To wit, I must say that I find a linear analysis based on a singular variable regrettably oversimplified. Good fellow, curious fellow, what do you normally expect from those who lack your overwhelming strength here in the astral realm, hm?"
Shell Mira Towa — 09/15/2022
Mira laughed a little at the last question, "I expect them to be dumb and die. Most mortals tend go be stupid from my experience."
Still something felt interesting about this man. It was possible the comfort of the Astral Realm would make him find no concern in being around Mira or maybe he understood a connection did exist and was confident in that.
Mira had a simple question, "You don't know of current affairs? Where have you been?"
