Pagoma watched Syric closely from afar and tried to remain inconspicuous. But despite the bar being quite full, it was as though the air had changed as soon as Syric had walked in. Pagoma removed a small photo from his inner pocket of Syric to confirm it was him. There was no denying it... Pagoma was staring at the man who had infiltrated a PTO Facility and stolen top secret records. The organization, which Pagoma was a part of, simply could not allow for someone like that to walk around freely. Pagoma sipped on his drink, looking up every few minutes at Syric. It seemed like the guests in the bar were picking up on the tension, because the tables between Pagoma and Syric had mostly cleared out, and the bar that was busy just minutes before, was suddenly at less than half capacity. Pagoma figured there was no use hiding his intentions anymore. There wasn't much of a good reason for a Changeling to be in that bar on a night like that and in certain circles, it was common knowledge that Syric had a bounty out on him. Pagoma stood up from the table in which he sat at alone and slowly made his way outside. He would wait there to prepare for Syric, attacking him as soon as he set foot outside onto the sandy streets of Juno. Once Pagoma was a dozen steps away from the bar he had just exited, he began to channel his horrific and cruel power through his body, with no shame as to who else might have been nearby or watching. Immediately, dust began to swirl around Pagoma, as the visibility became poor and the air thick. The few civilians who had been walking around began to run away, wanting to avoid being caught in the sand storm. Pagoma's body began to grow brightly and grow larger. The Juno sky grew darker and static electricity pounded the ground with small bolts all around Pagoma's feet. The Changeling squeezed his fists tightly as the pure power of his Third Form began to take shape. Pagoma felt the familiarity of a successful transformation into his third form, as he settled into a fighting position with one fist facing forward. If Syric had stepped out of the bar, then Pagoma would charge right after him. If he was still inside of the bar, then Pagoma would have swung the door open at this point and charged for him all the same, swinging tables and chairs out of his way as if they were twigs to a rolling boulder. Pagoma led with his Dragon Axe, mounted to his tail, swinging it around horizontally and chest high towards Syric, hoping to take a chunk of flesh from his chest. After breaking the ice, Pagoma reached behind his back and pulled a large, black sword out of its sheath. It had a crimson tint in its reflection, as though the blood of Pagoma's enemies had been trapped inside of it. This was a special sword. One that Pagoma wouldn't be surprised if Syric recognized, considering its nickname was "the bane of Celestials". Pagoma ran his fingers over the length of the sword, watching as it sprang to life with dark blue flames. Though the flames had the presence of heat around them, being struck by the sword caused more of an intense freezing sensation than a burn, in addition to the unpleasant effect of its sharp blade. Patiently waiting for the right moment to strike, Pagoma quickly found his way in front of Syric and slashed away with the burning Apollyon from Syric's right, towards the side of his chest. Pagoma then followed it up with a mirror-like slash, mimicking his last slash of the blade in the opposite direction towards Syric's left side, chest high. Pagoma then used the pointy end of his sword and plunged it straight towards Syric's chest, not afraid or hesitant to quickly go for the kill.

The tension was thick. Whoever this Changeling was that happened to be at Syric’s favorite bar was looking at him constantly. Maybe he had a crush or maybe he was a hunter. Considering that he hadn’t made a move after a few awkward moments, Syric decided it was probably just a changeling crushing on him. He did find himself pretty irresistible even if not all the women he hit on agreed. If nothing else he was normally at least entertaining and that allowed him to feel the confidence swell within him.
After a few drinks were downed by the Changeling, he walked out of the tavern. Lacking balls to make a move Syric felt almost disappointed that he had even thought something might have happened here, but it seemed like this was just going to be another dull night at the bar.
That was when his senses erupted. The energy he had felt from the changeling grew quickly and that was when he remembered the last time someone strange met him at a bar. It was that stupid bounty again. He jumped up from his chair, ”Yo people, time to watch me be amazing again!” He gloated, his own power erupting as he gained a whitish blue aura that had flares of golden electricity radiating around it.
Moments later the door shot back open and the changeling that was here before was back in a much more powerful form and ready to hurt anything in his way. Luckily for most in the tavern they had gotten the hint and scattered from near Syric or the door Pagoma had left out of just before. As the door was flung open again it only caused a deep sigh from the bartender.
The changeling darted right for Syric, but as he swung the tail, the celestial already knew what was coming and shifted to the side, ”Dude that is totally not natural right?” he said looking at the axe on the Changelings tail. If it was, then clearly they had evolved since he last visited planet Frieza.
Being so amazed by the tail, he didn’t even manage to put up a guard, instead relying on his armor to take most of the damage the triple slash of attacks did. As he looked down at the sword piercing into his armor, blood dripped out over the celestial bane weapon, ”Ok the last dude that came to kill me had that too. Are they being manufactured somewhere?”
He pulled back, the blood dripping around from the first flurry of attacks. The one thing he had going for him though was that his opponent had seemingly thought a single piercing blow would be enough for a kill right at the start of a battle. It allowed him to pull out both daggers, twirling them quickly, a large smirk on his face, ”This is my favorite part!”
He was arrogant, but he had dealt with hunters before. They all ended up falling the same way. It would also let him slash his opponent up right away and get that form of entertainment out of the way. He slashed with the blade in his right hand, the blue freezing aura on it hoping to slow down the raging Changeling, but right behind it he stabbed with the purple glowing blade, hoping to steal his energy too. After the first stab he stabbed again, not nearly as powerful as the triple strike moments ago had been, but enough to pester his opponent before another stab came in from the side. He would bring the left hand over, hoping to slice into the changelings arm first before the right would stab into his forearm.
This hunter didn’t have things he could peel back outside of skin, but he could still have fun watching the blood flow just as his own was now doing. He turned slashing both weapons up quickly towards the face of his enemy now, he would leave scars on him that he would never forget.
Syric knew it was a long fight he was built for and a long fight he would have fun doing. Slashing stabbing and doing whatever he could to break his opponent until all that was left was a body to torture till he would wish for his own death. Syric wouldn’t allow for that to come, he would simply relish in another victim.
He moved into a stance waiting for the hunter to attack, ”So clearly you wanna hurt me, but I don’t even know your name. That isn’t cool dude!”

Pagoma waited briefly outside until the dust began to settle, leaving behind empty streets free of any pedestrians. Deciding he had given Syric enough time and he still wasn't outside, Pagoma decided to back into the bar. " Maybe he's scared," Pagoma reflected to himself as he pulled the door open and charged in, making a mess of the tavern in a matter of seconds. Pagoma noticed that Syric's appearance had changed and a faint blue and golden shimmer seemed to be present around him. Pagoma had never fought a Celestial before and was ignorant if they were able to transform, but Pagoma was certain that Syric's power was significantly more than when he had stepped out of the bar. " This is going to be fun," Pagoma said as his enemy dodged his first attack, making a comment about his Dragon Tail Axe. He could sense that their power level's were quite close to one another and expected it to be a good fight. A good fight, that he planned on winning. After Pagoma's sword hit its mark, just as the Changeling had hoped, a trail of blood leaked out of Syric's chest and down his chest plate. Pagoma had hoped the Apollyon sword was as strong and mighty as he had been told, but it seemed like it was just a very sharp sword without anything too remarkable about it. The Changeling was also blissfully unaware of just how powerful his Dragon Tail Axe was compared to most weapons, which caught even Syric's attention. Perhaps this was why he felt surprised by the Apollyon not ending the fight with just a couple of blows. Pagoma had noticed Syric's two blades he bore, two knives with different shades to each of them. Changing to offense, Syric came after Pagoma with them slashing away at the Changeling with one in each hand. Pagoma's arms were subjected to the sharp blades of each of the daggers, the blue one slashing his left shoulder while the purple one slashed the outside his right bicep. The pain of the blades cut deep, but to a certain extent Pagoma enjoyed the pains that came with battle. It reminded him of all the enemies he had killed or horribly maimed. But when Pagoma looked down at his left shoulder, he noticed that the blue blade had frozen part of his shoulder so stiff that he could hardly move it. When Syric struck a second time, Pagoma only just had time to move the blades of his Dragon Tail Axe in front of him, pushing away each of Syric's blades by combating them with his own. Syric came slashing for Pagoma's arms again, perhaps his strategy being to disable Pagoma's arm movements so that he couldn't fight. But Pagoma pushed off the ground hard while he flung his body backwards, only just avoiding the reach of Syric's daggers as he floated in the air. Syric jumped up after Pagoma though, and turned the blades of his daggers towards the Changeling's face next. Pagoma held out a palm towards the Celestial and let loose of an icy blast of energy, intended to freeze his target as well as stopping his attack. Looking out at his opponent who was hopefully struggling to break loose from his Ice Blast, Pagoma landed on the ground near Syric and let loose of two blasts of Energy at a close range. They weren't the kind of blasts intended to kill an opponent but would none the less serve their purpose if they met Syric while he was trapped in ice. Whether Pagoma hit his target or not, the bar that Syric and he were inside was subject to the destructive power of his attack. "...I don't even know your name!" Syric blurted out towards Pagoma. " That isn't cool dude!""Don't worry about my name..." Pagoma replied with a smirk. "...You won't be alive long enough to use it."Turning back to the Apollyon, Pagoma charged towards Syric and slashed downwards with a swift and mighty strike, this time trying to make contact with his shoulder and cut down into the Celestial's chest at a slight angle. Using the momentum to his advantage, Pagoma spun around one full rotation and held his sword outward, trying to slice towards Syric's belly, to disembowel him. Pagoma then kicked off the ground once more, hovering for just a short moment while he looked down at his opponent. Pagoma held his sword away with his left hand while curling his right hand into a fist. Using a sort of superman pose, Pagoma flung himself in a downward flurry that made him appear so fast he was little more than a black and silver blur, leading the charge with his right fist. If the Changeling made contact with his target, Syric would be subjected to an incredibly powerful punch right in the center of his chest, where Pagoma had already made one nice hole with his blade. If Syric managed to avoid Pagoma's attack, one of the exterior walls of the bar they were fighting in would have a nice Changeling-sized hole in it as Pagoma would find himself outside of it.

He was rude too.
Syric thought that most of these hunter types came here looking for the glory of the hunt and kill and to get themselves fame and fortune, but this guy wouldn’t even introduce himself. It made the Celestial upset that he had to deal without knowing the name to cut into the foolish changeling.
His strikes had found little success as this hunter was clearly fighting defensive so far. The Ice Blast that crashed into him allowed the double wave of energy to do the same. He gripped his hands on his daggers and a flare of energy broke him free from the icy prison.
”I get it. Cold attack from a frost Changeling.” The swing from the sword came at him, but the dual wielding master was able to act quickly pushing the blade away with one of his daggers while countering with a stab into the armored body of the hunter.
”Means your name probably has something to do with cold…” He was saying, but while he talked the force of his brain pushed the previously attacking dagger up into the celestial bane weapon and gave him another opening to counter with his other hand as he stabbed towards the leg of the hunter this time.
That was when the Changeling darted at him. The force he was coming at, only matched by the energy flowing around him. He took a moment to accelerate to nearly his max as he blinked out of the way and turned to see the changeling sized hole in the wall.
Syric turned and looked at the barkeep, giving a quick shrug, before blasting off to chase him this time. As he got close he brought both daggers in slashing motions to cross to the front of the Changelings face, ”Icy? Is it Icy?” He annoyingly asked as he attacked.
He brought one dagger down towards the chest of the Changeling and the other up from the other side. He shook his head thinking as he struck at the hunter, ”Maybe Snow… Like that princess Snow White?”
Syric was confident in his strategy so far. The simple wear down method, to start with and hopefully eventually see what this guy could actually do. So far, it was rather basic combat, so he had time to talk and hopefully get this guy off of his game just a bit. He still had plenty of plans forming in his brain how he could permanently maim him from this fight. That would be the fun part when he got to it.

Pagoma's refusal to give his name seemed to at the very least annoy Syric. This was Pagoma's intention. Anything he could do to take his opponent's focus off of the battle. The Celestial started guessing (badly) at Pagoma's name. Pagoma's attacks with his swords were evaded by Syric rather impressively. He used one dagger to block Pagoma's attacks while attacking Pagoma with the other. Pagoma felt blood dripping down his leg and chest as Syric's blades hit their intended marks. Pagoma flew through the exterior of the bar as his Dragon Dive hit nothing but air and wood, which flew all over outside the bar. Pagoma quickly stood up and as Syric flew after him with his daggers slashing towards his face, Pagoma quickly dodged out of the way with a quick show of speed. "That was close" Pagoma said. "Can't have you messing up this pretty face now, can I?" Pagoma pointed towards himself as he said it. "Icy?" Syric guessed at Pagoma's name again, practically ignoring him. Syric charged forward with two more slashes at Pagoma, this time making contact once more with Pagoma's chest and side. The daggers lightly pierced his heavy armor, letting a trickle of Pagoma's purple blood shoot out from it briefly as though it were a high pressure pipe that just got a pinhole pierced in it. "Maybe Snow?" Syric was playing with Pagoma now and the Changeling didn't like it. "Enough!" Pagoma shouted, tired of the dumb games the Celestial was playing. He was toying with Pagoma and not taking the fight seriously. At least it seemed that way to Pagoma. Pagoma charged a beam of energy between his hands for a moment before launching it forward towards Syric. This was no ordinary energy blast, but a display of Pagoma's rage and fury mixed together. Pagoma would shoot the beam just past Syric, hopefully giving him a false sense of security that Pagoma's attack had missed. Then, Pagoma would cause the beam to do a complete 180 turnaround in an attempt to strike Syric from the back. If that missed, Pagoma would guide the beam to chase Syric around until hopefully Pagoma made contact. Pagoma held out a hand towards the Celestial and clasped his fingers tightly into a palm. As he did, the air around Syric began to get heavier as a sudden intense wave of pressure collapsed in on Pagoma's enemy from all angles, hopefully crushing Syric with the force of Pagoma's attack. Pagoma was on a roll and didn't wish to stop there. His arm still outstretched from his last attack, he formed a finger and pointed straight for Syric's chest, the mark given to the Celestial by the Apollyon, acting as Pagoma's target. The Changeling shot a quick, thin blast of energy from the tip of his finger. "It's not all about ice, you know," Pagoma said with a smirk. Pagoma ran towards Syric and squatted down in a half kneeling position, looking up at him. Having already inhaled as he was moving, he let out a large breath very quickly that infused itself with fire the moment it left Pagoma's mouth. The Changeling hoped that Syric would still be within arm's reach and feel the brunt of Pagoma's burning attack.

Syric had started to get under unnamed changeling’s skin. The shout of anger was the beginning of a surge of power. The Celestial smiled as he saw the power come forth from the hunter, it was good to see what he was fully dealing with when he got angry. Considering a general 25% holdback of power, he started to have a grasp just on what he was fighting. That was going to be helpful moving forward.
As the beam came at him, he readied, but it flew right on past. As he was about to mock his aim, his senses felt the beam coming back. He turned quickly, raising his guard, crossing both arms in from of him in order to protect himself as much as he could.
With the dust that kicked up from the explosion as the beam crashed into his guard, he knew his back was turned to his opponent. That was never a good thing. Turning in the cover of dust, he called forth the protective barrier to protect him as the energy from his opponent continued to erupt. The barrier would do a good job against the first two attacks, but then the changeling spoke as the debris cleared claiming it was more than just about cold as he released a blast of fire from his mouth.
The barrier protected him still a little before fading away. Blowing the smoke away he couldn’t help himself, but to continue, ”So then that must mean your name is Frostburn?”
He flung his arm forward, but released just a shockwave of his own icy energy towards the Changeling hoping to slow him down for a moment with a simple and basic blast of energy.
Flipping the dagger in his hand he flew towards his target showing the right hand looking more ready to throw a punch before the dagger flipped out again as he tried to stab him in the side once again.
”I think Frostburn fits you well.” Syric continued to mock before bringing the left handed dagger up towards the stomach, looking to strike with pinpoint accuracy and puncture the flesh of the hunter.
The pain was only just beginning. It was most certainly the fun part of the battle for him. He didn’t mind the pain himself. After his fight with the raccoon he learned it was necessary to know it he was still alive and now it also gave him more cause to hurt his target as much as he possibly could.

Pagoma's opponent made another wise crack trying to guess at his name but the Changeling wasn't going to give in. "Focus," Pagoma would say to himself under his breath. Syric flung his arm forward with a blast of icy energy, but Pagoma having focused his attention, flung his arm himself to deflect the attack into the air behind him. A few moments later he heard it crashing to the ground somewhere in the distance, gravity returning it to the surface of Juno. But Syric was already a step ahead of Pagoma with his next attack, digging his right hand's dagger into Pagoma's side. Pagoma bit his lip to keep a yelp from escaping. Syric kept mocking Pagoma as he brought the dagger in his left hand towards Pagoma's stomach. The blade pierced Pagoma's chest armor with its tip, causing it to be punctured. Purple blood dripped outside of Pagoma's armor and ran down to his waist. "Is there a button that shuts you up?" Pagoma asked Syric, over his antics. With Syric still at close range from the use of his blades, Pagoma swung around his tail with his Dragon Tail Axe attached, trying to at the very least put some space between them if not give Syric a nice gash to go with it. Pagoma then arched his arm backward and wrapped a thin strand of energy around two of his fingers. Quickly moving from Syric's field of vision to be right behind him instead, Pagoma then flung his elbow horizontally, hoping to cut Syric at the waist, splitting him into two. Whether Pagoma's attack was successful or not, the surrounding buildings including the bar received a nice horizontal gash in them, for quite some distance. Pagoma didn't hesitate before following up his last attack with another, once more pointing his finger towards Syric before letting loose of a thin, moderately powered blast of energy. Pagoma was temporarily distracted in the battle by something he hadn't been expecting. Somehow, his pet Pengling had gotten out of his bath in Pagoma's starship. He ran towards Pagoma, looking for a pat on the head or some cuddles. "Not now..." Pagoma said through gritted teeth, as the Pengling approached. But that was when Pagoma remembered how fierce the Pengwings were back on Planet Frieza. He picked up his pet Pengling as it approached and chunked it towards his opponent, watching as the ferocious pet slashed away at Syric's face.

Frostburn was a rather aggressive attacker. Most hunters were and this guy was certainly no different. They came thinking they would get easy wins and then go crazy hard to try to kill Syric and then end up sliced and diced and left maimed and unconscious. The Changeling Frostburn would end up the exact same way if things continued down the path. At least that is how the Celestial saw things.
The swinging tail was cool, but Syric didn’t have time to dodge it this time around. He instead wanted to keep up with the mind games, ”So first cold.” He said releasing a blast of pure cold at the Changeling looking to freeze him in a block just as he had been frozen earlier in the battle.
As the hunter broke free he was quick to unleash another powerful blast of energy. Again more deception as the attack was naturally invisible and just a shockwave of energy like Syric had used previously, but this was clearly dangerous too. He flicked his hands and suddenly the energy broke apart, forming a field of fire around the Celestial now to act as his own personal shield moving forward from future melee attacks that would be aimed at him.
”Then fire!” He stopped striking a pose before he continued, ”MAKES FROSTBURN!”
He wanted to continue, but then a cute little creature came out towards the hunter. What kind of powerful Changeling overlord kept cute critters with him?
”Dude you keep little cute animals with you. That’s adora…” His word were cut off when the Changeling threw the creature at his face and suddenly the cute little penguin became a much more dangerous monster as it sliced at Syric’s face, cutting across his eyes causing a moment of blindness due to his eyes watering intensely.
He flung the creature off, ”What the actual hell?” While he couldn’t see he decided pressed a button on one of his daggers, allowing his energizing serum to start to flow throughout his body.
As soon as he could see he was ready to continue as he held out his hands and created a powerful surge of electric energy meant to catch the hunter in a net and hold him still for a moment.
Syric assumed the trap would be defended, but was quick to tap his earrings. Quickly stored energy from previous victims of his torture began to flow in him as he released a rapid fire series of energy attacks at the hunter. His focus was still there, but so was his arrogance and taunting style.
”So Frostburn, do you like to burn?” He said opening his mouth sending a powerful blast of power at the Changeling hoping to remind him just how dangerous it was to play with fire and more importantly, to play with Syric.

As Pagoma swung his Dragon Tail Axe around, he felt himself becoming encased in ice. The same attack that Pagoma had used on Syric a couple of minutes prior had now been used against him. Pagoma wondered if the Celestial always knew the attack or if he had one of those special abilities to mimic the attacks of others. Either way, Pagoma was stuck and had to break out of the ice. Meanwhile, Pagoma's Death Wave had been absorbed by Syric and converted into a fiery shield that wrapped around him. Yet another trick that Pagoma was also trained how to use. After Pagoma's pet Pengling did his worst against Syric and scuttered away, Syric generated a form of electric energy resembling a net and began to throw it towards Pagoma. Reacting instinctively, Pagoma held up his right hand where a shiny ring glowed brightly. Syric's attack was captured inside the power of Pagoma's ring and then rebounded back in the direction of the Celestial. Syric seemed prepared for some form of defense and was already in the midst of launching his next attack, a flurry of energy blasts fired at Pagoma. The Changeling did what he could to minimize the damage but was in no place to defend the brunt of the attack. "So Frostburn, do you like to burn?" Syric asked Pagoma. The Changeling had apparently been redubbed Frostburn by the Celestial, a name that Pagoma wasn't too fond of but ignored. "It might help thaw me out," Pagoma joked with Syric, still feeling the effects of the Icy Blast that he had only just escaped from. Syric breathed fire that surrounded Pagoma, and the Changeling felt its burning sting all over his body. Pagoma ran towards Syric with a palm outward in his direction. He let loose a quick blast of energy and nearly point blank range, targeting Syric's face. Pagoma then held out his fingers towards his opponent and closed his hand into a fist. Once again, the air all around Syric seemed to close in on him in a dramatic display of intense gravity, designed to crush Pagoma's opponents by force. Knowing he only had a second to spare and was burning through energy quicker than he had intended, Pagoma reached into a pocket inside of his chestplate and grabbed a small vial of a purple liquid. He flipped off the cork keeping it closed with his thumb and swiftly did a "bottoms up". Almost at once, Pagoma felt a slight replenishment to his energy, feeling ready to go against whatever Syric would throw at him next.

What made Frostburn click? Syric couldn’t figure it out exactly as one moment he was angry then he was joking. The Celestial liked to attack the weakness mentally of his foes, but this guy seemed to be maybe unstable. He was a bounty hunter that carried around cute penguins that randomly slashed at eyes, then he wouldn’t introduce himself and then he got mad when Syric made a name up for him. It seemed random, but maybe that was this guy’s stick.
The net he had thrown came back at him and the Celestial shook his head. He should have paid attention to that stuff, but he hadn’t and now here he was. Slicing the blade in his right hand towards the net, the energy he had formed flew back into the blade and replenished what had been used.
Then Frostburn fired another weak blast at the face of the Celestial. Syric took it head on, the pain causing him to grin a little, but then he saw the hand motion he had felt earlier. Using his instincts he formed another barrier to prevent the implosion of energy from consuming him once again.
With the barrier flowing and the fire as well, Syric felt pretty protected. He tucked the dagger back and they flipped into wrist holders as a surge of energy erupted from his arm creating another sword for him to use, but this one of his own ki.
”Ok Frostburn, I used this attack to win my last fight. You better be scared!” He said, he wasn’t wrong either, but it was possible this hunter didn’t know that.
He rushed forward at full speed slashing towards the body first and then upwards towards the shoulder and then finally a slash across the face. He certainly liked cutting up a face of an opponent and so far this hunter had avoided much of the pain he had hoped to inflict.
Syric’s eyes narrowed as he kept his focus on his target, ”When are we going to take this seriously? If this is all you got, then you are going to have 1 long recovery ahead of you.” The smirk that had shown, changed suddenly, his eyes showed a straight determination at the Changeling now. Maybe he was finally going to start taking this seriously or maybe he was trying to bait the Changeling into a mistake? It was hard to tell with how Syric acted naturally.

As Pagoma's attacks approached, Syric used another Barrier to guard himself. "For someone so arrogant, you sure do like to hide behind your Barriers," Pagoma poked at the Celestial. "And against some of my weakest attacks, too... Just wait until I really going.""Ok Frostburn, I used this attack to win my last fight. You better be scared!” Syric warned Pagoma, but the Pagoma had not yet been shown a reason to fear his enemy. "Your pathetic ball of fire didn't even thaw me out," Pagoma said, showing Syric his arm that was still partially frozen around the elbow. "Why would I be scared?"Syric held a sword generated from energy and Pagoma immediately thought of Ur'Alcyonis. The Demon had shown Pagoma the attack a time or two and did it much more proficiently. As the Celestial approached, Pagoma held up a hand to his face, fake yawning as Syric made his first slash towards the Changeling's face. Pagoma held up his Apollyon. He had placed a small device on the hilt that he had picked up on Mortoseth. As Syric's energized blade came towards Pagoma, the device quickly expanded into the cap of a large mushroom, causing Syric's sword to bounce off. This gave Pagoma a chance to get a better feel for Syric's Ki Sword. Pagoma generated a thin, invisible barrier around himself that generated an energy exactly 180 degrees out of phase with the Ki Sword. This made it so that when Syric tried to swipe his blade across Pagoma a couple more times, his blade turned into thin air just before it would have otherwise crashed into the Changeling. ”When are we going to take this seriously?" Syric asked Pagoma. "If this is all you got, then you are going to have 1 long recovery ahead of you.” "I'll show you mine if you show me yours," Pagoma said. He had been operating somewhere around 60% of his full power and keeping up with Syric well. But any seasoned fighter would know that the Celestial was holding back. Pagoma wasn't going to show his full power until he has certain that Syric was doing the same.

Frostburn was certainly getting cocky. It was nice to see that was seemingly his weakness. The same as most changelings. They knew their race was blessed with extreme power and with it came the weakness of arrogance. Syric was totally the same way. He knew his divine nature made him special and powerful. It was one of the reasons he was also so cocky. No one had fully shut him up. Only that racoon android had come close so far. The hunter attempted to bait his target, but Syric did not bite. Instead as the blast of fire ended up coming at him, he simply let it crash into the barrier. Some of the flames breaking through, but nothing enough to fully break the barrier or the celestial. As he felt the surge of energy around him he knew what was coming. He sighed to start, but then released a vocal shockwave that dissipated the ball before it fully incased him and his barrier. The barrier wouldn’t hold up well to that attack for sure. ”If you want to see mine, then you gotta buy me a few drinks first. I don’t just put out for anyone!”He bolted forward, the serious look still on his face as a surge of energy formed at his hand. It woud appear as though he was going to strike with a physically enhanced melee blow, but instead he pushed the orb of energy towards the body of the Changeling. Frostburn would have to react quickly or go for the ride on the blast as it shot up into the air. When the attack hit the right height, Syric would turn and strike another pose causing the orb to explode, hopefully catching his attacker in the aftermath of a massive explosion. He turned as he finished the attack, but that was only because cool guys did not look at explosions. As he felt Frostburn either avoid or begin to recover from the blast he quickly turned back to his target. His mind already working its tricks. Suddenly to the Changeling it would appear as though Syric was all around him. Just as it did black tendrils would rise from the ground, grabbing at the arms, legs, body, neck, tail and anywhere else of the Changeling that it could grab. They would hold him still as the tones of the Celestial would begin to haunt him… ”Frostburn Sucks… Do Do Do Do Do Do.” It would continue one after another as the Celestial seemed to be flying around, a million in number in unison singing the song, keeping close enough to be annoying and far enough away to be untouchable. At the same time people in the Changelings life, those he considered allies and even those he had faced before trying to be a hunter would pop in, flashing smiles as they sang along with the Syric, torturing the target as much as they could. The goal was simple, drive him mad and force his body to react with a massive powerup. Since he had said he did not want to show his until Syric had shown first, he felt this would be a way to see at least a little as the power would surge forward, but also cause the body that was not ready for such a surge to suffer from the internal damage. It would break him apart at his ki level and hopefully cause him to be confused even after all was said and done. This was Syric making sure it was clear that Pagoma knew he was now taking this seriously. He just hoped he had not gone too far and ended this fight before it actually became interesting. Syric made another wise crack about "putting out," a thought that made Pagoma practically gag. But something did seem a bit different about Syric. Pagoma could feel his power ramping up as if he was about to prepare a Ki-heavy technique. Pagoma whispered to himself to "Stay on your toes" as he watched Syric to see what he would do next. Syric charged forward with the early stages of an energy attack, glowing in one hand. Pagoma could feel the immense amount of power inside of Syric's energy technique and took to the sky. He quickly flew around a few different directions at random, hoping to throw off Syric's aim. When Pagoma saw that the orb of energy was released, he focused his mind on moving as quickly as possible, and with a sudden surge in speed as he flew, Pagoma dove out of the way of Syric's blast. As Syric struck a pose on the ground, the ball of energy exploded in the air, with Pagoma just outside of its blast radius. The Changeling continued to quickly fly away from its epicenter, before he landed on the ground a short distance away from an onlooking Syric. "Nice one," Pagoma said somewhat genuinely. "Almost got me..."Syric didn't seem to even be paying attention to whether or not Pagoma was hit by the attack, and for a moment Pagoma regretted that he hadn't noticed sooner and used the Celestial's lack of focus against him. Syric began to multiply and Pagoma immediately recognized the attack at work... A form of the Deca or Tri Form technique. Granted, Pagoma had never seen an opponent split so many times before. When Pagoma had seen the attack used in the past, his opponent usually split into two or three versions of themselves. Syric had split into what looked like more than one hundred copies of himself, and the quantity was growing exponentially. "Well," Pagoma said with what sounded almost like disappointment in his voice. "...Too bad each time a form splits it grows weaker. I bet these copies are pretty puny..."Pagoma started to raise one hand to begin blasting a few of the closer copies of Syric, but as he did, dozens of vine-like appendages sprung up out of the ground and grabbed Pagoma, keeping him in place. "What the...?" Pagoma started, looking as the black restraints gripped him from enough angles that he was utterly frozen in place. "Is Syric some kind of shaman or something?"As Pagoma was stuck in place, Syric seemed to be enjoying the moment rather than attacking right away, continuing to multiply his quantity like a virus in a host. He would begin to sing a distracting and annoying song that was oddly reminiscent of a children's nursery rhyme. Hearing it in Syric's voice more than a thousand times over made Pagoma's skin crawl. Looking up, Pagoma's vantage was like being inside of a tornado. Only, instead of deadly winds and dust circling around him, Pagoma saw what must have been practically a million copies of Syric swirling around. "How?" Pagoma said to himself. That was when instead of just Syric dancing around Pagoma, he was joined by various allies and enemies from Pagoma's past and present. First, Pagoma saw his parents and his most trusted ally, Voithos. Seeing them look at Pagoma while laughing at him was a bit difficult for the Changeling to watch. "Oh no..." Pagoma said to himself. "I must have been poisoned and now I'm hallucinating." Pagoma figured that one of Syric's blades must have had poison on its tip. Seeing Syric swirl around like that must have set something off in his brain and his own hallucinations were causing him to see friends and family. But then, Pagoma's visions expanded to past enemies and allies as well... Lord Frost, Frieza, Broly, Monster Carrot, Aria, Ur'Alcyonis... "Wait," Pagoma said to himself. Seeing Ur'Alcyonis smiling and laughing jolted something in his psyche. Seeing the primordial acting foolish while singing a nursery rhyme was a bit comical. It didn't seem like something that Pagoma would have ever thought up on his own. "This isn't real," Pagoma quietly reflected to himself. Pagoma saw the many copies of Syric at face value, thought the vines were just a Celestial technique unfamiliar to Pagoma, and assumed the visions he was seeing were the beginning symptoms of a poison running through his veins. Pagoma felt foolish for not seeing it sooner. He had been subjected to the Nightmare technique several times before. To Syric's credit, his vision was very realistic. But Pagoma knew what he needed to do... Take control of his mind back. Pagoma focused his energy as he looked down and closed his eyes. He repeated to himself a few more times "This isn't real. This isn't real."Pagoma felt the many copies of Syric floating around him. It was almost as if Syric were actually there and had his own energy signature. Or at least that was how it felt to Pagoma. In reality, this was his mind's way of fighting back against Syric. Even with his eyes closed, Pagoma could see the many forms of Syric flying around him. While his eyes were closed, each of them had a bright yellow tint to them, except for one that was red. "There!" Pagoma said to himself. He kicked off of the ground as the tendrils dissolved away, dropping back into the sand. The Changeling flew up the tube that Syric had mentally generated with his copies of himself, until he sensed where he felt the real Syric to be. Once reaching just above the current height, Pagoma dove down towards what Pagoma thought was the "real" Syric in a flurry of a black aura, his whole body covered in dark energy. Pagoma didn't realize what he felt was the real Syric was really just his brain's way of showing Pagoma his escape from Syric's nightmare. It was his mind's way of saying "here is the intruder, attack here!" Pagoma had broken free of Syric's mental trap, blocking the Celestial's nightmarish vision as best as he could once he realized what it was. It was still quite the shock to Pagoma's system though. Jumping back into the driver's seat of his own body, Pagoma found himself actually floating a bit above Syric, and charging down with dangerous speed and both of his hands in front of him. It seemed his actions in his mind had been replicated in the physical form. After finishing the attack, Pagoma stepped a few paces away from Syric and felt a sudden, great strain on his body. It felt like he had severe food poisoning and a terrible migraine. Pagoma threw up a bit on the ground, before rubbing the back of his hand over his mouth. Pagoma probably listened to a wise crack or laugh from Syric, but Pagoma wasn't willing to let him get too much enjoyment out of him. Only a short distance away from Syric, Pagoma held up both hands and began to fire a flurry of energy blasts at Syric, one after the other. Hoping the large amount of them would overwhelm Syric, Pagoma didn't stop there. Not immediately seeing Syric through the dust, he challenged his sensing abilities to find Syric's precise location. "There you are," Pagoma said as he made a visual loop around the silhouette of Syric's body. Pagoma formed an orb a little bit larger than Syric's size around where the Changeling last saw him standing. Hoping that Syric was inside as he had planned, Pagoma rose the Imprisonment Ball into the air before quickly dropping his finger to the ground. As a result, the floating orb crashed into the ground and caused a fiery explosion to erupt with a cloud of sand and dust.

The block of the Nightmare makes the damage from that alone 69.75% (I spoke to Pagoma about this already. 67,575 more Vitality Drain if you care)
The jokester of a Celestial watched as Frostburn physically dealt with the Nightmare, he had bestowed upon him. The Changeling’s power had sky rocketed for a moment and so the effects of the internal burn of energy would certainly help his cause, but he had done enough that it had not sealed the deal. That same strategy had worked against the racoon, but things had certainly gone different this time around. Syric understood how that happened, but he was still hoping he would be able to get a drink sooner rather than later to celebrate his victory.
Instead he had a charging Changeling rushing right at him from the sky, looking to crash a fist not just into, but seemingly through the body of Syric. The Celestial had liked what he had seen from the Changeling moments earlier as he had gotten away from the power impact and stopped the coolest ending to a fight that Syric could have imagined. Blowing someone up and then having them power themselves up to death; it would have been a classically awesome victory that he had most certainly been denied.
As Frostburn got closer to striking, Syric used another burst of speed, just like he had seen his opponent do to slide out of the way and basically swap spots from where the two had been prior to the attack being launched. That was when he saw his opponent puke a little as he tried to clear his head from the damage his own energy had just done to him.
”Yeah I remember my first time too…” He was about to continue, but suddenly his mind flickered once again. Showing him the pattern of the next attack.
Well that was certainly going to be helpful. He shifted like a dancer in a play, moving elegantly in the air as each blast came his way, dodging them all with the precognition he had been gifted from his time on Kanassa. With each move though, the Celestial was smart, tapping into the stored power of his earring to release a blast of his own back down towards the Changeling, matching his attacks with his own in retaliation as he shifted around each of them.
That was when he felt the energy around him once again. The same energy trap that the hunter had previously used, was looking to strike one more time and encase Syric. Having seen the ability once though, he knew what was coming and a protective shift of energy caused the ball to condense in the air next to him, causing nothing more to happen.
”Dude you gotta learn some new tricks.”
That was when he pointed next to Frostburn and suddenly one of his daggers that he had seemingly dropped during his dodge released an explosion of light and smoke as it looked to keep the hunter from acting. Syric charged in to follow up and as he did his released darted up towards the cheek of the changeling, looking to pierce right through his face before returning to the hands of its owner.
Moving quickly, Syric did not hesitate as he slashed his other dagger over the body of the Changeling looking to cut him again across the face just as he grabbed the released dagger. That was until it revealed itself to be a false image and Syric came from the side, slashing the blade across the body of his target, hoping to start the process of finishing this opponent once and for all.

Syric had managed to sneak next to Pagoma while he was charging with his targeted Double Energy Blasts. Before Pagoma got a chance to release the blasts, Syric struck Pagoma in such a way that the energy simple diffused into the air. At a time when his remaining energy was precious, this was a big blow to Pagoma. Trying not to lose his anger or focus, he stepped back into a fighting position and took a few deep breaths, powering up with a bit of mental energy he kept tucked away for a rainy day. ”Ok Frostburn, I’m going to end this now. It has been fun!” Syric gave Pagoma a farewell, gearing up to strike with enough force to end the fight. Pagoma had certainly felt better, but with the use of his healing blade at least had a small portion of his lifeforce revived. He geared up to take on any incoming attack that Syric could think of. As Syric rushed towards Pagoma with his daggers in his hand, Pagoma held out one hand and generated a thick ball of energy around himself to act as a shield. Syric's daggers struck the Barrier instead of Pagoma, and though the Barrier bent in a bit with Syric's applied pressure, the tip of his blade hardly touched Pagoma. The Celestial struck Pagoma again with his daggers, but Pagoma's defenses were still in place. This time, however, Syric was able to get through the weakening Barrier and get a good cut in across Pagoma's shoulder. Syric flew above Pagoma and at once Pagoma could feel the beginning phases of an ultimate attack beginning to form. ”Goodbye Frostburn!” Frostburn said what Pagoma assumed was meant to be his final farewell to the Changeling. But Pagoma was determined to not let that be the case. "Not so fast!" Pagoma cried out over the loud crackling of energy forming in Syric's hands. As Pagoma watched Syric forming a dark ball of energy with red and white sparks, Pagoma began to form his own. He knew the attack that Syric was using and the attack power it had. It was the same attack used by Aria that had nearly killed Pagoma. The Changeling didn't have long and his only defense for such an attack was meeting it with a rivaling attack that could possibly overtake it. Pagoma's energy ball grew rather large quite quickly. As a planet destroyer, the Death Ball was a naturally much larger attack than Syric's Eclipse Bomb. Pagoma pushed more and more of his energy through the ball as quickly as he could, and as Syric let go of his, Pagoma did the same. The Changeling was confident in his attack. He fully expected it to not only overcome Syric's attack, but to continue on towards Syric, sending a nice inescapable explosion to his vicinity. But as the two balls collided, they were of almost equal powers. Pagoma's Death Ball struggled at first as the two balls pushed against each other in the air. But eventually, Pagoma's ball pushed forward enough to cause both attacks to explode at once. The force of the explosion would have left a crater half the size of Juno under normal circumstances, and Syric and Pagoma would have both been vaporized by the blast. But something about the types of energy used when combining a Death Ball and Electro Eclipse Bomb, caused most of the energy to simply be cancelled out and collapse back in on itself. This was a surprising effect to witness, but even despite this there was still a deadly explosion between the two warriors. Pagoma felt heat and pressure as his body was pushed through the air. Pagoma flew into the air as the high levels of wind from the two bombs were released in all directions. Dust formed in a cloud that made a good portion of Syric filled with sandstorms, and the planet shook to its core. Still, all of that was better than the blasts destroying the planet entirely. Still airborne, Pagoma flew towards Syric at top speed before raising one finger up to his eye. Summoning the assistance of Syric's closest star, Pagoma combined the lumens with energy of his own, resulting in a blinding, non-damaging ray of light.
