Mira VS Juch
Juch — 12/14/2022 2:36 PM
Like before, Mira had to commit to two separate attacks in order to actually damage the Demon. No matter how fast the first attack was, the Demon was still able to evaporate into thin air before any actual harm could be dealt.
However, the follow up was devastating in comparison. Even from his airborne position, the Scholar could see the dent in the Demon's armor from the impact of Mira's fist. The flames from the enemy's attack had little effect on Mira, but the flame infused punch that was delivered back was significantly more devastating.
But it wasn't enough. Juch clicked his tongue, "Tch."
Looks like they were in the long haul. The Demon wasn't going to fall that easily.
Two swings and a miss for each; the potent weaponry that the devilish fighter wielded was unique. Juch had not seen that sort of combination before. A powerful weapon indeed. He briefly thought of the combinations that could be done with such a flexible tool, but quickly dismissed those out of his mind as he retained focus on the task at hand.
The ground now shook from charging energy. Juch couldn't tell exactly what the Demon planned on doing, other than it certainly didn't bode well for both himself and Mira if it required this much the power it up. The bolts of electricity kept Juch at bay, but although the thought of braving the dangers to hit the various pressure points to disperse whatever energy that had been charging entered the android's mind, he decided that it may be too early for something like that.
Instead, Juch began to fire a volley of thin, lightning quick beams towards the Demon. If he will teleport again and again from the attacks, the amount of low energy attacks may distract him long enough from committing fully to whatever dastardly move he had in mind.
Shell Mira Towa — 12/15/2022 9:17 AM
The electricity that was erupting around the prepares attack seemed to work not only as a sign of what the demon was planning, but it also was a deterrent to incoming attacks or attempts to stop whatever it was that he was doing.
Juch tried, but the bolts of power kept the attacks from getting near him to even cause the evasive maneuver to be used.
Mira watched in amazement of what he had seen. Juch had tried to push with some quick attacks, but nothing seemed to work. It felt like they simply had to wait and see what was going to happen with all of this energy.
Mira tried to also find an opening, but not even the battle focused Android could see an opening here. They were in big time danger.
Power was exceeding 8... no 9... almost 10 million in total power. From what Mira knew that wasn't how powerful the demon was ever in his mortal life. The hero that defeated him was even weaker than 1 million from the stories, this power felt like it was wrong.
The Android's sensors tried to find the answer with no luck. He flew down next to Juch, he only had one idea at this point to survive whatever it was that was coming at them.
"Put your hand on my shoulder." He said the time to do so felt almost like micro seconds.
Boom!
The energy exploded out, as it exploded Miras energy seemed to break into pieces. If Juch had touched him so would his own. The flicker out of the dimension for a brief moment before appearing next to the demon just as the power finished consuming the planet.
Somehow it had survived the explosion, but it was still showing the impact of the power the demon had released.
"Quickly, we have to attack before he can gather that energy again." Mira ordered. It likely sounded rude, but at this point they had found themselves in a much more dangerous situation than they had expected.
Mira fired a blast at first, causing the demon to avoid the blast, but as the monstrosity came back,
Mira snatched him up from behind in a hold. Hopefully Juch could take advantage of that and blast him away. Mira was ready to surge some energy at the last moment to cause the dodge to happen and the demon to reappear just as hopefully Juchs attack would strike.
Juch — 12/15/2022 10:24 AM
"Damn, it isn't working."
The electric aura was just too much. Juch winced. His attacks were simply absorbed by the growing static field that surrounded the Demon, the swelling zaps and bolts growing ever more as the seconds passed by. No, he had to stand down. Any more of such tactics would be rendered pointless.
Stepping back, the android heaved a sigh, a mixture of relief and frustration. That power signature emanating from the Demon was growing into monstrous territories as the attack continued to charge up. Juch looked behind him to see Mira landing right beside him, and then an utterance that may have changed the course of their adventures in the astral realm.
Putting his hand on his shoulder? In any normal context, that may have been an odd request, but Juch immediately registered what Mira was talking about. He wasn't as fast as Mira, but this he could do just before the attack went off.
Immediately, the powerful blast burst forth, engulfing the entire small planet in its shattering blast. Mira certainly knew his way around things: Juch felt his energies for just the briefest of moments even exit out the dimension completely, thus protecting him from any and all potential harm that may have befell him had he been just a split second too late.
They reappeared back in the realm besides the Demon. It was with a curt tone that Mira spoke next, but this was no normal circumstance. Juch's own rise finally started from the Galactic War all those years back anyways, so as a soldier, his instincts kicked into gear. And no matter what, Mira had just saved his skin back there; he knew when it was an order that he should follow.
The subsequent bait was taken again, as the Demon dodged the first blast, only for Mira to restrain him from any further movement. This...seemed like a familiar situation, at least one from a different timeline or dimension far far away from here. Hopefully, it wouldn't have the same results. But Juch knew what to do.
Juch — 12/15/2022 10:37 AM
His own power swelled up as he pushed his abilities to their limits. This was do or die now. He had to go all out or risk actual danger in the astral realm. Multiple orbs flickered into existence all above him as he charged up; inside within his core, the sunstone shard gleamed brightly as it coordinated with the rest of his ki flow, its glow even leaking through the multiple layers of Juch's formal wear.
Nearly instantly the attack became charged up to its peak. They didn't have much time, so Juch wasn't about to waste any. The dozen of the ki blasts weren't so much shot towards the Demon as they simply flooded down, in a torrential downpour that would rival any hurricane or storm. The winds quaked on the planet--the fact that it was still standing after all that was certainly surprising--as the multiple blasts crashed down, threatening to drown the Demon in a myriad of explosions.
Shell Mira Towa — 12/16/2022 11:43 AM
Mira gripped his hands tightly as he held the demon in place. The power that Juch was summoning forth was impressive and likely would have the force to do the damage that they needed to put the demon down. If nothing else it would wound him to the point where he would not be able to continue his merciless onslaught of the duo.
The attacks began to rain down from the scholar. Mira flared forth some energy causing the demon to again flicker for a moment but they would return just in time to take the attack head on. Mira had shifted his power, focusing on the defensive end of things. He built his resistance to its peak as the blasts impacted them both. The cloud of smoke formed with each explosion covering the area they were standing and the majority of King Kais planet.
As the smoke settled Mira backed away. Pain influencing his body as the damage Juch had done was real. He looked forward, the demon released from his grasps during the attack to see what the deadly opponent was doing now.
The lightning infused power of the demon Sparked out from the clouds, but as the broke he coughed up blood and flames, dropping to his knees from the pain the massive attack had done. It was quick but certainly an effective way to handle a problem.
"No, not this way..." the demon murmured as he tried to summon forth his power once again, "I will not suffer defeat here!" Even in his damaged form his power swelled. He flicked the whip and waved the sword, sending out first an electric shockwave of force and then a fiery burst that both would look to consume the entire area.
Mira pulled up his guard, knowing he was still in defensive mode so he felt it was his best option, but to his surprise the attack lacked the sting he expected it to have. It seemed to simply create a distraction.
He focused quickly on where the demon was just moments earlier, but now he was gone. Scanners began to run, trying to pick up his location, but as they did nothing came from it.
Juch — 12/16/2022 11:57 AM
The attack was successful. The torrent of ki blasts raining down was enough to cause some serious harm to the Demon. Ah, excellent! Their plan had worked! From Juch's vantage point, the only thing he could see was the billowing smoke that resulted from his attacks. The android lowered his arms, watching the smog clear, only to see the tell tale sparks of electricity flare out again from deep within.
Oh hell, that wasn't enough? That was one of Juch's strongest attacks! But it's okay, he had more up his sleeve. He'll just have to dive down there and give the Demon a stern talking to--with another attack to boot. However, before he could realize his next move into action, the bleeding opponent sent out another shockwave that spread out through the entire area--one first made out of lightning, the next made of out fire. Juch raised his arms up in defense, preparing for a devastating knock back, but like Mira, he was perplexed to find that it had been just a light zap, a light brush of flame. Nothing serious at all.
Speaking of Mira, Juch looked down again at his companion, only to see the numerous scorch marks on Mira's otherwise shining and sleek model.
"Oi, oi, Mira!" Juch descended back down. A concerned look now on his face, the Scholar rushed over to take a closer look, "What happened? You didn't get out in time? Oh dear, oh dear; are you alright?"
A deafening silence began to fall upon the scene. The Demon had retreated, and it probably seemed like the damage they caused would leave him licking his wounds for quite a long time. If he was smart, he wouldn't be showing his face up around these parts any time soon. And with so much battle that had already taken place, it was probably a good time for Juch and Mira to calm down and rest for a bit. Whatever lull in the fight, they needed to take advantage of to regroup, for if the Demon came back again, they'd be better prepared.
Shell Mira Towa — 12/16/2022 12:44 PM
The disappearance of the demon was frustrating. Mira had figured he would fight till the end this time, but again he found a way to retreat. The Androids rage began to grow, but he kept it under control for now.
Juch flew down asking what happened that Mira had taken damage. The time traveler scoffed at the question, "The attack was powerful, but I'm built to survive much more than that." It was the truth. He had even survived destruction energy from Lord Beerus before and that was something most couldn't claim. Yes it damaged his essence all the way to the core, but he still survived it.
He took a deep breath, any damage slowly fading away as his body seemd to regenerate from the blasts Juch had unleashed, "My plan was always to hold on. He could not be allowed to avoid the attack. He took it head on and it did its job..." he paused seeing the blood on the ground where the demon had fallen just moments ago, "Well mostly."
Mira walked over to the spot running his fingers of the blood on the ground. Almost like a primal beast his senses immediately picked up the legit scent of their target.
"He was damaged though. Significantly too, so I will be much more capable of tracking him now."
The Android closed his eyes for a moment, suddenly the scene shifted around them. They were no longer on North Kais world, they were in the depth of hell.
Flames flicked up from the molten ground that was all around. Most importantly the power of the demon was here and able to be sensed once again. Mira pointed off to the distance, "He is that way." He confidently proclaimed, "Looks like Round 3 will be here quicker than Round 2 was. We can continue to fight and have to track him, or we can finish it here. I'm personally tired of the games. This time we watch for him to flee. If we stop that we have already shown we can beat him as we have done twice already."
Mira exuded confidence, but how much was bravado and how much was legitimate? That question they would get soon enough.
Juch — 12/16/2022 3:21 PM
Well, it looked like Mira was okay. Phew, good. Juch nodded as Mira explained his strategy. Looked like he was willing to face the full brunt of the attack head on, confident in his endurance to take it. On the flip side, if he was able to recover from this, even without taking the hits head on, it did confirm any suspicions that Mira was a dangerous person to face.
"It wasn't enough to finish him off, but I don't think he'll be doing cartwheels anytime soon," the Scholar offered in return with a small shrug as Mira leaned down where the bits of gore from the Demon's injuries. It was evident that the retreat wasn't just out of strategy like last time when their opponent disappeared in the Forest of Illusion, only to attempt to ambush them in this new scene. This time, it was out of self preservation, a desperate move of a wounded animal.
Before, it was Juch who had shown his prowess at many different sorts of sensing and calculations, but this time, it was Mira's time to shine. The burning, smouldering ruins of what was North Kai's planet and the hazy image of Snake Way in the distance all disappeared.
Instead, the sweltering heat of hell surged forth in Juch's vision, as he now found himself on the opposite side of the Midlands. From Heaven to Hell, "After trouncing him twice, with the state that he's currently in? I don't see the guy making it, honestly. And I'd rather hate to have loose ends strewn all over the place," Juch adjusted his tie with a cough, his glasses reflecting the harsh lights of the flames all around them.
"Confirmed, I've adjusted his coordinates," Juch nodded, this time taking the lead. No matter what Mira did say, even if he recovered from the previous attack, he did suffer more overall damage than Juch thus far--at least, according to Juch's estimates. So it only made sense for Juch to take the frontal charge.
The flames roared louder, as fireballs began to rain down from above. Seemed like they were getting attacked en route.
It was a sweltering heat all around. Juch had been here before. One time. Long, long ago. His memory was fuzzy on plenty of things, but this was one aspect that he knew well. The swampy marshes. The Saiyan. it was during monsoon season. On that Saiyan Planet. Valhalla. The rain of ki blasts. Ducking. Dodging and weaving. But it wasn't enough. It was never enough. He didn't do anything. And yet...!When he woke up again. There he was. Hellfire. The crackling of the pyre. And the screaming. The screaming never ceased. He couldn't ever tell whether or not it was in his head or not.
He escaped. He told Mira that he had heard of the dead coming back into the world of the living. He did it. Much more successful than what the Demon was trying to accomplish. Honestly, to this day, it was a dark secret that he kept to himself. It wasn't natural. Well, sure he wasn't natural in the first place. But this went beyond what was man made and what one would find already in nature to begin with. Life and death was something that every one cared about. Nearly everything was based off of that, for that was the final stage, the inevitable that all people must meet.
But Juch didn't. He didn't stay in that hell hole forever. He changed his face. He changed everything. He went from a freelance mercenary to being officially under the banner of the Keliouxians. While he had rubbed elbows with them before, he never officially joined them under any capacity. Under any circumstances. Until that very moment. And he never looked back. But sometimes, when he was meditating in the deep of night, when he was alone. Especially when Beerus and Whis came romping through the galaxy. Sometimes he thought that his sins would catch up to him.
But they never did. Did he ultimately get away with it? Or would he be dragged back into that pit? He didn't really know. It would gnaw at him for a long, long time, this secret.
Shell Mira Towa — Yesterday at 8:40 AM
The change of scene had come with a new hazard. The fires of hell itself seemed to rage at them with each step they took. Were they under attack or was the place simply just acting this way. Hell normally was not aggressive to those that were there. That likely meant this was something that was caused by the demon they were tracking.
Mira moved towards his destination, dodging the bursts of fire as it stormed around them. The path to the destination was thrown off by the disturbance thought. It was certainly annoying, but as they got closer suddenly a field of fire exploded upwards, creating a wall of flames that also seemed to flicker with the lightning power of the demon they were tracking. This was clearly his work and meant that he was in grave danger.
Mira sighed, "Looks like he is putting his power into keeping us away." Mira took a step towards the wall, but as he did the flickers of electricity flared out towards him. The Android jumped back avoiding the attack as his eyes narrowed, "Interesting defense tactic. Seems dangerous to get close to as well."
Mira pointed a finger towards the wall shooting a blast at it now, but the lightning struck out like his field of energy had earlier when Juch had tried to blast through the pending attack. It was another dead end.
"Any thoughts on how to get past this wall or do we need to find another way around?" The time traveler was happy to listen to any thoughts Juch had on the matter. Maybe the scholar had something he could do or maybe they simply had to go around. Either way they both obviously wanted to just finish this series of events off and finish this threat once and for all. Mira certainly was not ok with allowing the demon to live at this point. He had no true hatred towards him, but he was a target and that meant that he had to go. Mira would allow for nothing else to transpire. As long as he could he would pursue the demon until he was dead once and for all. Mira would be ok with nothing else than that.
